Agents ODD State

Hi Dude,
Could you please someone help on this :
Customer are reporting that "
CAD is acting very odd, when on a call I cannot hit the "Work Ready" button.  It will show me in odd state, when I should be in “Ready” it shows me as “Talking”.  When I'm “Talking” it will show me in “Not Ready”.  All this is intermittent, it works fine after a reboot, then shortly after the same thing occurs.
Alos user is going to ready state after talking i mean to say am in TALKING mode, hit the WORK READY icon and it when that call ends he sent right back into the queue.

    Hi team.
The Cisco Supervisor Desktop don't show any logs in the "Agent Logs - State" and "Agent Logs - Call" in some agents.
I restarted the Cisco Desktop Services in CCX Serviceability but the issue continue.
I appreciate any help respect this case.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Ernesto,
Did you click or selct the Specific Agent\Inbound call which is currently being handled by the Agent. From the Screenshot you have attached (first one) doesn't look like the call has been selected.
Please select or click on that Specific Agent\Inbound call from CSD and check these values.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
This two views are important – because it gives us a perspective of the agent from two different points:
    1.  The perspective of the agent monitors running on the agent, measuring its own “health”.
    2.  The perspective of the “Health Service Watcher” which is the agent being monitored from a Management Server".
If any of these are red or yellow – that is an excellent place to start.  This should be an area that your level 1 support for Operations manager checks DAILY.  We should never have a high number of agents that are not green here.  If they
aren't – this is indicative of an unhealthy environment, or the admin team not adhering to best practices (such as keeping up with hotfixes, using maintenance mode correctly, etc…
Use Health Explorer on these views – to drill down into exactly what is causing the Agent, or Health Service Watcher state to be unhealthy.

  • PSC Setup - Setting REX Agent Configuration, state blocked at "Ongoing"

I followed the IAC (IAC 4, PSC 10) install guide, but I'm stuck at the "Setting REX Agent Configuration".
I should wait for the task to complete, but the state is blocked at "Ongoing  (2 of 3 Completed)" since yesterday. I don't know why it's stuck and what to do.
    Below, the Requisition detail :

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I already try the REX login, and validate that the REX service was "up". I also try to cancel the requisition and make a new one with no result.
As you suggested I've updated the request (not sure it was what you mean by "resend")  and the result seems the same (the due date is in 2h, don"t know how much time it should take)

  • UCCX Agent ready state softkey

I was under the understanding that UCCX agents could also sign into the ready state through they're assigned phones ? So far in my reading of documents and such I have yet to see any bit of information for setting up agents without CAD. In many of our situations we would like the agents just to be able to sign into the phone adding them to the rotation for incoming calls.
Does anyone know if this is possible and if so is there a reference in some document outlining it ?
    Thank you.

Are you looking to log in agents without using the agent desktop? Check out IPPA (IP Phone Agent). This is a IP Phone service that you assign to the agent phone in call manager.
Set up the agent as normal, then add this service to the phone in call manager:
    http://x.x.x.x:6293/ipphone/jsp/sciphonexml/IPAgentInitial.jsp
where x.x.x.x is the ip of your UCCX server.

  • Agent State Display - Can you highlight when an agent is Not Ready

    Hello...
My customer is looking for a way to highlight when an agent has gone in to the "Not Ready" state...  their preference would be to change the font color to red in the supervisor desktop display in the Agents - Team State section, but they are open to ther ideas as well.  We are currently running UCCx 7.0(1) with CAD/CSD 6.6(1)
Screen shot of supevisor desktop attached
    Thanks,
    Craig

I am not sure if highlighting the agents when the state is changed is possible in CSD.
However I am curious to know why is there a specific need to highlight the agent when you already see the status going to RED from GREEN during not ready state ?

  • Setting agent's default state to Ready in CAD

    Hi,
We are using UCCX 7.0 with CAD 6.0. Is it possible to set the default state of the agent to Ready when they login to their CAD.Right now, they go to the default Not Ready state one they login.
    Thanks,

    Hi
By design CAD agent initial state after login is always not ready and there is no specific setting in uccx were you can change this behanviour.
However you can check this post were they suggest to create a MACRO

  • Time in state Unkow when agent have calls

Hello I need to know why when I open CTI Toolkit with my supervisor the Team Real-Time a one agent have in "Time in State" UnKnow.
    anyone can help me?
    Thanks

The time in state is counted by the client software. It can only start counting after an agent changes state. So when you first login to the supervisor, all agents will have an unknown time in state. Only after an agent changes state will it be able to track time for that state.

  • UCCX 9.0.2 - Agent state problems when Default script is execute

    Hello,
I need some help on that problem.
I created a special script I want to use as the default script in my application. When I use this special script as the main script, everything is fine.
But when I use this special script as the "default script" in my application, desabled the main script to force my special script to be executed, I have problems with the agent's states.
--> When my agent receives the call from UCCX,  he becomes in reserved state but when he answers the call, instead of going in talking state, it goes to available state.  The UCCX do not further monitor the call.  The only way to hang up the call is with the telephone.
    Thanks,

The default scripts are not meant to be used as call routing scripts.  The intention is to allow you to gracefully bow out of the call, with a customized and friendly error message, versus the default Cisco message.
NoteRemember that the purpose of the default script is to gracefully terminate the call when the main script fails, not to have a fall back to provide the original services intended by the primary script. This distinction is important because using system resources to execute this default script may impair system performance. If the primary script fails too often, then you should fix the primary script rather than providing another script to attempt the same task.
Source: UCCX Getting Started with Scripts, Chapter 5 - Advanced Scripting Techniques, Section Advanced Error Handling, Subsection Using Default Scripts
    Good Example
    StartAccept (--Triggering Contact--)Play Prompt (--Triggering Contact--, P[whoops.wav] + DP[3000])Terminate (--Triggering Contact--)End
EDIT: August 1, 2013 - I just learned a new trick.  If you need to only play a single prompt as your default script, as in the above "good example", then UCCX has a way to do this without creating a new default script, and setting it on every single application.  You upload your prompt to the repository with the filename: "unrecov_error.wav".  You can even have one per language!  That's pretty cool!
    Bad Example
StartAccept (--Triggering Contact--)...greeting......check for holidays......check business hours......deliver main menu of 7 choices......ask caller for account number......perform DB lookup on account number......check agents logged in......select resource......queue the caller for 5 minutes......route call to agent...End
I'm not saying this is why you are seeing the weird behavior, I'm just trying to inform you that you shouldn't be routing calls to Agents in your default script.

  • Emctl agent and console issues

    Hi All:
I am not sure what happened, but here it goes:
    Environment:
    ==========
    Windows 2003
    Oracle 10G : 10.1.0.2
I have 2 instances on same server.
Currently both DBs are up and running. I had already accessed one DB Console to administer. (Which took a while to bring up due to requirements for providing explicit security policies and having service run as Local System) In any case system was up.
Then I went to second service and used the port 5500+1. Which I got to. When I tried to set up DB Back up, and test the backup disk drive, it gave me an error that the Host user does not have specific rights to execute a perl command. This is the same error I was getting before on the other instance.
It seems odd to get that error since both instances are using the same oracle account and have the same privileges.
In any case I stopped the service and tried to bring it back up, I kept getting Net HELPMSG 3547. I thought to stop the other emctl service (wrong mistake).. Once doing that I can not get neither consoles up.
When I go to: http://localhost:1830/emd/main: It states EMAgent is working.
When I go to command line and submit:
emctl status agent: it states agent is not running.
I tried to start it, and I get Net HELPMSG 2185.
Now I can't start consoles (emctl start dbconsole (after setting ORACLE_SID).
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions. It would be greatly appreciated.

I bounce the box and restarted all the services. But the Console services did not come. Kept getting same HETHELP MSG error.
I tried to start the agent from command line but did not start from their either.

  • Can anybody help with UCCE feature "Work Mode on Outgoing" in Agent Desk Settings

    Hi,
my customer wants to have a wrapup time till the agents change their state to "ready" by
    themself.
So I have configured the maximum for wrapup time 7200 sec in Agent Desk Settings.
But I have a problem with the feature "Work  Mode on Outgoing" in agent desk settings in
    ICM 7.5.5.
I think I  recognized the function of this feature. It works like that:
    - if  an agent gets a call via ICM or directly on his phone he will be set  into work mode
    - if he make a call and the called number answer  that call the agent is still on work
    mode after he hung up
    - but  if the called number doesn't answer that call and the agent hangs up his  phone he
is in ready/not ready state and that isn't the expected state.
(  you can also rebuild this when you go off hook and then on hook again)
The  problem is when the agent in state "ready" gets a call via ICM and  after he hung up
his phone he is in state "work Ready". Now he makes an  outgoing call but this call will
not be answered and if he hangs up his  phone he directly gets a new call from ICM because
    he was in "ready"  state.
Is it possible to set a registry key or do another  configuration for that feature "work
mode on outgoing" that it works for  every new call even if the call will not be answered?
    Cheers,
    Tobias

ed_umansky wrote:The proper way to make outbound calls is to first go Not Ready then make a call using the desktop software.
Agreed. In fact, with CAD and CTIOS you cannot make an outbound call when Ready.

    Geoff
