Aggregate never completes in process chain

Hi,
I have AA cube which got 61183291 records, whenever I try to run the process chain - everything goes fine and it stops at aggregates... first I waited for 1 day still it didn't completed... then cancelled it and restart the process chain.... this time I waited for 4 days and it is still running...... not sure what is the probelm.... can anyone come acrossed the same problem?

Next time an app update gets stuck try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons for10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. Wait till your iPad starts on it's own. Try now. Also YouTube is still available. If you can't find it the the app store go to the bottom of the app store page and tap purchased. All your deleted apps will be listed and you can reinstall YouTube from there.

Infopackage with staus notyet complete in Process Chain

Hi Experts,
I have a process chain that includes several infopackages. One of those infopackages is from a DS that currently is not bringing any data (no data in R3 for time), and when is exectuted in BW gets status yellow (not yet complete/warning) because it doens't bring any data.
When I run the process chain, the process gets "stuck" on this infosource, and it doesn't continue. The only way to make it continue is to mannualy force the passage from status yellow to status green.
Does anybody know what is the solution to keep this IP in the PC (they might statring to have data in R3 side in the future) and make it continue (maybe a way to automatically get the loading green)?

I think due to no data availability in source system it is in yellow status,hence you can change the status to green when ZERO records
Defining the Request Status if there is no Data in the Source System
Under Scheduler Color of Traffic Light for Empty Request you define how the system reacts if there is no data in the source system for the data request.

I have tried loading Flash Player 4 x, it never completes the process. Says 100 %

Anyone besides me having problems with new Flash Player.?   I have loaded it 4 x, unloaded it etc. It goes to the page that says it is 100% and nothing
else happens............until a screen that says it will FINISH if I close Internet Explorer.   I do....it doesn't finish!   It won't work and when I go to a site that
needs it, says I can download for free!   So, no luck. OPERATING SYSTEM IS WINDOWS VISTA

Internet Explorer is the browser
I did do the unload (uninstall) off the site suggestion and saved to Desktop
Same with the Install on desktop.
I have also tried uninstall from Tools/Control Panel.
Shows that I have it already, IF I try to load again without uninstall.
I did shut down t& then re=started computer.
I also had turned off my protection from McAfee whil doing all the above.
Perhaps in a month I can try again and ADOBE will have an answer.?? Must be a glitch for so many to be having
problems!!

Query on using EVENTS in process chains.

Hi,
Process Chain A on completion posts a Trigger using FM - BP_EVENT_RAISE.
Is there an ABAP program to check for the specific event completion from process chain A. Basically , we need an FM or program that reads the event status ( whether event raised or not ) and accordingly triggers another process chain.
We need this fuctionality in process chain B coz we would be using an AND condition that checks for the event trigger from process chain A as well as Step 1 in chain B.

1) Let us say ,Process Chain A, will triggger an event EVENT_A for an example.
instead of one evnt use 2 events, EVENT_A on success and EVENT_B on failure.
2) Link Program A to EVENT_A and Program B o EVENT_B

Process chains-dependent process run

hi      friends
my process chain which having 9 process types in a single column get failed at process type no 4, due to this the dependent processes are also kept in waiting for the process no 4 . finally i rectified the error in process type no 4 ,
now the problem is how can i start the remaining processes next   to   this process type to complete the process chain fullcycle.

i think this may help you,if you got an error at any step or at any process in meta chain ,go to the t-code area and write ( =copy)   in the tcode area and then it will ask u fr other name ...give some name and start executing the process chian ..
OR
go to SE37 to run the process chain manually
run the process chain using the RSPC_API_CHAIN_START program

Now i want to do is , whenever this report completes my process chain should start in BI so that data in table can be filled in GDS .

Hi,
You can do it in two ways.
1) Include the ABAP program as the first process in your process chain. Once the program is completd the following processes will continue.
2) Use "After Job" Scheduling options to schedule your process chain.
Mention the job name of the program in the After job. The process chain will get triggered once the job is completed.

URGENT:Process Chains And events Related

I have created a new process chain which is a normal ODS Process Chain.For that I started with the start Process and then created event in sm62 to trigger the start of process chain.Similarly,I have at the end of the process chain ,I have added 2 ABAP Programs ,one to mark the successful completion of process chain and another to mark the Error or Unsuccessful completion.For these programs,I maintaines Processvariants and here, we have utility Programs.So used the relevant utility program and created a program variant and Events ,One for successful completion of process chain and another to mark the Error or Unsuccessful completion.
But ,Now ,I find that when I trigger the eventin sm64,I find that the process chain is not being run.Is that any problem with the events I created.This is the first i am involved with creation of events in SM62.Can anyone help me in this regard.
Can anyone,tell me thatdo we need to do anything else apart from Creating events .Imean like assigning jobs and then Programs in the Step of that Job.
Please Kindly help me in this regard.It is very very urgent for me.Thank you.Points will be assigned.

I have tried in the same way you have said .I have maintained as after event and activated and scheduled.after that i triggered the event insm64.But still,I am not able to see the Load in RSMO.
I have just checked out in sm37.And found that some jobs have failed.I think this might be the reason for the Process chain to not run.
I am just pasting the error msg and solution.

Process chain - ODS Activation error

I have a process chain which has the following data load sequences:
Load data to ODS
Activate ODS
Load data to ODS2
Activate data ODS2
Load data to ODS3
Activate ODS3.
Used the Program to RSPC_SYNCHRONOUS_RUN to schedule the process chain in Background.
When the process chain is executed in background it loads the data to ODS1 and Activation process is not happening. It registers short dump like shown below at the end. But when i execute the same process chain in RSPC, Schedule option with Start variant set to immediate, it is activating the ODS Data and completes the process chain Succesfully.
Help me to solve this problem.

    "COMMIT WORK".
The error occurred in a statement that accesses the table "/BIC/AZXOQMATR40 ".

Hi,
If it is a daily process chain u define it on a periodic basis in the variant and it'll run successfully.
I guess the DUMP may be due to less processes at the time u run...It is gving the same in the dump also..
So when u run the chain immediate in the BKGD the ODS will be automatically getting the required processes dailog and bkgd to run according to ur settings and it was successful..
U try to execute the chain using FM: RSPC_API_CHAIN_START and give the tecnical name of the chain under I_CHAIN filed and conitinue...It'll scedule the chain in the BKGD only and if it is a periodic one the chain will be automatically ready for the next run also...

Hi,
There is a Tool provided by SAP to do the Process Chain Analysis.
It is basically a ABAP Program /SSA/BWT which provides the following BW Tools:
a)Process Chain Analysis : this tool is used to perform the Runtime analysis of the Process Chains. The analysis can be performed not only at Process Chain level but also at the Process Type level.
b)Detailed Request Analysis
c)Aggregate Toolset
d)Infoprovider BPPO Analysis
So you can go through the program and analyse the runtime of your Process Chains.

Hi,
I believe this would be your Prod system, so don't just cancel it but look at the job log. If it is still processing then don't kill it and wait for the change run to complete but if you can see that nothing is happening and it is stuck for a long time then you can go ahead and cancel it.
But please be sure, as these kind of jobs can create problems if you cancel them in the middle of a job.

Process chain fails every time at "roll up of aggregates"

Every time when this process chain get executed,this fails at delta laod of aggregates step.If i repeat again it works fine.But repeating is not a solution for this.So,i want a permanent soltuion for this..
Please guide me what to do?and explain me why this happens.

Hi Moushmi,
Have you checked if the system has processes available while the chain is running? It could be that your system is overloaded and the aggregates wouldn't roll up because you have no processes or available memory.
Check with your Basis resource. Also, try changing your chain to do only 1 at a time. Do you have many aggregates to load, are they big, and most important are they being used.

Process chain taking long time to complete

Hi,
I am having following issues in the process chain daily loads
1) The PSA deletion is taking very long time on fridays only (nearly 3 hrs). Other days it gets deleted in 1 hr max.
2) Just to load 381 records via dtp from DSO to cube takes nearly 2 hrs(Delta load). No major routines are written in the transformation.
How to analyse a process in process chain which does not fail, but takes very long time to complete. Is there any tool or transaction in BW which can help us to analyse why the process chain takes so long time to complete in different days. One day it completes in 8 hrs, another day it takes 12 hrs.
None of the transactions, SM37, SM50, SLG1, LOGS etc are giving me any help to analyse this issue.
If it fails we have error logs to check and analyse, but without failing how we can analyse and fix the delay and reduce the time of loading data. Please guide me.

1) This might be due to the poor performance of the system ..there wont be enoughwork processes avilabe in teh system .- What needs to be done if it does not have enough work processes available. Though I can find that lots of dialog processes were free during these jobs as well some Background processes were also free.?
Look to increase Work Process.......................u can do two things..............U can cancel some Job...........which r not progressing...........or which r not very important for the time being..........
Or if possible........u can increase number of servers..........
Look When a Job will start...............first it will run in background.............u can start in in Dialog also..........but for Dialogue after some time ..load will go to time out.................now many Child jobs will be created for a single background jobs..............they may run in Dialogue..........u can monitor them through SM66............
2) Check ST04 for lock waits and dead locks ..if the same lock persist for long then check with basis team.
What needs to be conveyed to the basis team when these locks happen?
generally these will be temporary Locks.............after some time locks will be realeased..............if they persist for a long time...........then u can contact Basis people..........Or if u can understand that which job is creating the lock.............like if u double click on the job >> click on Job details...............from there u will find the PID................copy that.............and check in ST04..........whether they matches or not..............now suppose it match.............and u know that job is not very important............then u can cancel the job.............
Check also the table space availba in St04 . the usuage should nt be more than 90%
What needs to be conveyed to the basis team if the usage is more than 90%.?
U can ask them to increase the Table space........
Check the sm37 >> delay column it should nt be high
What needs to be done if delay column is high. Actually it is high for these jobs (PSA deletion and load from DSO to Cube visa DTP (Delta load)?
If Delay is more.............it means ...........that there is no free work process...jobs r going to Release state............solution I had already given u.......
Check the PID refeclting in lock waits in sm66 wether they are progressing or nt ..
If they are not progressing what action needs to be taken?
Actually...........suppose one Dialogue job is running............it may change..........ie that Dialogue job will go to Stop status.........some other job will start............anyways if it does'nt progress............u can cacel the JOb.........
Check OS07 for DB if the idle time is less then 20% then its a problem ..
If the Idle time is less than 20% what action needs to be taken?
U can contact the Basis people.......
Check sm21 and RFC connection with other source systems in sm59 ..
What needs to be checked in SM21 and SM59 specifically? What parameter i need to check?
In SM21.............if red status is there............check the Log beside that..............may be it will be some Terminal disconnected.......
In SM59...........clck on test connection..........
if the problem is occuring due to only one source system then check the performance of that system ..
How to check the performance of these systems? Any tools available in R/3 system to check its performance?
No.....in this way u can check performance for all the source system...........go to SM59............double click on the desired source system>> click on test connection......
If All these are persisting then its a performance problem and check with basis team ..
Is there any special settings which needs to be maintained to achieve better performance of Process chain loads?
U can Improve the performance of process chain by Parallel Processing..........ie split the loads by giving selections...........and execute thenm in parallel..........

At present, there is no standard functionality available in SAP NetWeaver 2004s BW/BOBJ that offers this integration and automation.But you can do it as given in following link

R3 job completion trigger a process chain to run on BW

Hello,
I was wondering how I can trigger a process chain to run on BW 3.5 after a SM37 job completes on R3?
I have been searching the forums and the web, but I haven't found what I am looking for.

I would need a more detailed suggestion to implement, but thanks for starting the discussion.
I thought it would be as easy as this
1. Create an event in BW
2. Have a process chain that starts when that event is raised.
Having implemented and successfully tested steps 1 and 2, the rest should be simple (I was able to raise the event on BW locally and the chain did run as expected)
3. On R3, create a small ABAP program that calls the BP_EVENT_RAISED Function Module on R3.
4. Pass that Function Module the following parameters
A. My BW system name, and
B. The event name that I created on my BW system
5. Add that ABAP program to the end of the job on R3.
It doesn't work though! The event i created on BW, doesn't seem to exist from R3's perspective. I was hoping it was as easy as that. Hopefully I am missing something simple, but so far R3 does not want to cause the event on BW to be raised.
