Aggregation Level issues

Dear Experts,
I have 2 questions about aggregation level now.
1) I have deleted an Aggregation Level in Planning Modeler But it's not being deleted from the InfoArea of
    BI Modeling section. How do I delete it from InfoArea ?
2) Currently that Aggregation Level is based on 1 InfoProvider.
    How do I add another InfoProvider under that ?
    Or how do I delete the existing one and replace it with a new one ?

Actually I had this aggregation level used in a query and also I did create Filter, Planning Functions and Planning Sequences on it.
So I had to delete the Query first, then Planning Sequences, then Planning Functions and then Filter and finally the Aggragation Level.
And then when I refresh the InfoArea it was still there until I signed out and logged in back to Admin Workbench.
Hope these help for other people out there.

Aggregation level deletion issue

I have a requirement to delete few aggregation levels from the system , i deleted them in development system and put them in a request but on transporting to Production these are not getting deleted. Any pointers .
Is there any other way to delete them directly in production system . There are few tables like RPLS_ALVL and RPLS_ALVLT .can deleting entries from these tables can resolve the issue ?

Check whether these objects are attached in any transport in production.
You can re-import the transport by checking 'overwrite originals' and 'overwrite objects in unconfirmed repairs' options.

Planning level to be added in aggregation level

Hi,
Currently my aggregation level has the following elements:
1. Plant
2. Sales Group
3. Cutomer
Now I need to change from Plant to Customer Plant. Following are my queries on the same:
1. Can I add customer plant in addition to plant in the aggregation level?
2. Hence forth I would be doing planning on customer plant level, will that be an issue?
3. Will there be any issue with the historical data already planned at plant level?
Kindly help me with the above issue.

Hi Bhushan,
1. You can add freely your additional characteristic and your model will technically keep on working ,of course you will need to adjust the filters and functions to the new aggregation level of data
2. Again you will need to adjust your business logic in all components of the aggregation level (filters ,functions)
3.Historical data is apearing currently under Customer Plant = '#' ,you should consider reposting historical data in order to align current with historical data

Aggregation level ZSPLN inconsistent : Infoprovider 0PLANT can not be used

I have added a new characteristic in the multi provider . Added the same characteristic in the aggregation level. But when I activated the aggregation level , system is giving aggregation
level inconsistent message? Has anyone come across this error. Early reply on this issue will be much

Aggregation level is not getting activated

Hello Experts,
I am working for Integrated Planning(BI 7.0). I have created one Aggregation level and i have transported from Dev to Qty.
After transporting i need to do some changes in Aggregation Level in Dev.
Problem:
When i am trying to change aggregation level in Dev, It is showing below errors.
1) choose an existing request
2) BEx transport request is not available or not suitable
3) Aggregation level is locked by the change and Transport organizer.
Please help me to solve this issue.

Please check if the respective aggregation level is assigned to
a transportable development class. If so, there must be a BEx
request in /nRSA1 created for further processing in this regard either.
The reported message is raised when aggregation level is not assigned
to Bex Transport request. In this case, maybe creating a new transport
request will be helpful.

Aggregation level is locked by the Change and Transport Organizer

Dear All,
I have created aggregation level in the planning cube and transported to Production from dev, Once i transported to production i am not able to change the aggregation level in Dev, and also aggregation level is Inactive. Aggregation level YPNC2 is locked by the Change and Transport Organizer. Please suggest how to activate the aggregation level in Dev.

Hi,
Kindly check the following,
1. Is your aggregation level transported properly to the production system ?
2. Was your aggregation level active while you were including it in the transport request ?
3. Did you properly include the aggregation level in the request?
If you find that the answers of all the above questions is "YES", then there should not be any problem in your aggregation level.

Empty Aggregation Level - Need user to put in entries when none exist

Hi, I have an aggregation level for Version, Material Family, and a Key Figure. The Cube has no data planned at this level when the user 1st starts to work with their version.
I am trying to find a way to get the user to be able to input a Key Figure Value for some Material Families.
I would either like the users to see a list of Material Families and input the Key Figure Next to the Material Family
or
I would like the user to input a Material Familly and the associated Key Figure for each family value they have. Thus creating entries for the Material Family Values they would like to run a planning function on.
I have been able to create a query that shows a list of Material Families and an input enabled Key Figure Field. When I put the value in and Save the Value gets saved to "Unassigned" Material Family even though I put the Key Figure Value next to a displayed Material Family.
I have also been able to create a query that does not show the Families but has an input record. The same thing seems to happen. I input a family value and key figure value, save, and it gets saved to "Unassigned".

Hi, Thanks for following up. I simply need to have users input the Key Figure Values for a single "Family" Characteristic. I am simply trying to create "Family" Records for which no planning data exists and it is totally eluding me. The Aggregation Level only has Family, Version, InfoProvider. Version and InfoProvider are in the filter.
I have successfully created an input enabled query and also added a input line at the bottom. If I input input a value next to a Family or if I input a new family and save the data the values just end up in the unassigned family. To get the families to show up in the query I have the Family Characteristic Advance settings (in query settings) set to Master Data
Please take a look at the below link for an example.
Please let me know what I have to do so users or myself can create Family records in my aggregation level!

IP - Aggregation Level (Authorization Error)

Hello there.
We are constantly getting an authorization error when running the a new revaluation function which has been described in the SAP online documentation (Revaluating Planning Functions (with Analysis Web Item)):
Root Cause
The initial exception that caused the request to fail was:
Termination message sent
WARNING BRAIN (800): You do not have the authorization for component !!AZDCAL205
MSGV1: ZDCAL205
MSGV2: REP
MSGV3: !!AZDCAL205
MSGV4: 16
ABEND RSBOLAP (002): No Authorization
Authorization should be fine, at least it has been up to now when using executing input-ready queries. ZDCAL205 (Aggregation Level) has been mainted in PFCG (object: S_RS_COMP) and under 0INFOPROV.
Any usefull hint will be awarded.

Cross-Aggregation-Level Selection Evaluation indicator

Hi,
Can any one explain me the meaning of the below statements in the two paragraphs. This is for "Cross-Aggregation-Level Selection Evaluation indicator" in alert monitor.
If the Cross-Aggregation-Level Selection Evaluation indicator has not been set in the SDP alert profile, only planning objects that exactly correspond to the aggregation level defined in the selection are taken into account. This means that the planning objects contain exactly the characteristics of the aggregation level. Planning objects that have additional characteristics are not taken into account.
If however, the Cross-Aggregation-Level Selection Evaluation indicator is not set in the SDP alert profile, the system takes into account not only planning objects that exactly correspond to the aggregation level of the selection but also those containing additional characteristics.
Example
If you use a selection with the aggregation level 'Product' in the SDP alert profile and set the Cross-Aggregation-Level Selection Evaluation indicator, alerts will be issued not only for this product but for the relevant location products.

Sales organisation = CZ01
Sales statut = active
Standard / promo = standard
Product size = A, B, C, D, E
Aggregation level:
Sales organisation
Distribution chanel
Division
Product size
What I understand of the 546079 OSS notes:
Distribution chanel and division are to be out of the aggregation level. Moreover in my case, there is only one value possible.
What I understand of the 374681 OSS notes:
The system searches for all the characteristics of the sales organisation * product size (of the aggregation level) that match the selection. At that step, APO should select only active and standard skus for CZ01 sales organisation and A, B, C, D, E product size. Afterwards the system searches for all the characteristics combinations that fit the chosen aggregation level and aggregates its values.
My question is: does APO disaggregate on the ID selection?
The characteristic combination I see in the job log are those defined on the aggregated level taking into account the sales organisation and product size restriction defined in the selection ID.

Aggregation level not getting deleted.

Hi All ,
We have deleted the aggregation levels from our development system and captured them in one change request.
On transporting this request to quality (the transport is going successful) ,the objects are not getting deleted and getting displayed in transport connection and metadata repository.
Any pointers to delete directly the aggregation levels from quality and production system or to resolve this issue.

Aggregation Level Vs Multiprovider

Hi Folks,
Can some one can explain me what makes to use Aggregation Levels as we have an option of building Read Input Queries on Multiprovider it self?
Is it a mere performance issue or else thats the only way we need to go build a Input Query.
Also can some one tell me how I should final Layout after I have designed a RI Query in Bex Designer. So far my understanding is to Execute that Query
1. Bex Analyzer or else
2. Go and hook this query by using WAD.
What difference that really makes me in terms of functionalities between both layouts except for the Visual Feel might be different one in Excel and other on Web. Any major bottle necks here?
I really appreciate any kind inputs here for my above concerns.

Thanks for your responses. I appreciate that and I understand that we cant build Input Ready Queries on regular Multiprovider.
How to decide like whether we should go with Multiprovider or Aggr Level for building my Ready Input Queries.
Ravi saying that it's when we want to do manipulations or else while using Planning Functions.
I find BPS more easy to understand when seen with IP especially when I built Lay outs. Atleast in BPS we can feel on what we are building. But here in IP Iam getting Confused on how to build Rolling Forecast Layouts and also using Aggregate Levels/ Multiproviders. Iam saying this in general what my situaion is.
Any comments for Knowledge Transfer will be highly appreciated.

Authorization Error when running queries built on IP Aggregation Levels

Hi,
Did anyone encountered this kind of issue.
We are in NW04s SP 9.
When running a query built on Integrated Planning aggregation levels getting authorization error
" Do not have authorization Component !! ARMMGASL ". (ARMMGASL is the name of Multi Provider)
Queries built directly on Multi Provider "ARMMGASL" works fine.
Security trace doesn't show any failures
Any help or info on this highly appreciated.

Characteristic of selection not part of aggregation level

I am receiving the following message in my log after running a background job for my forecast. My selection profile has an exclusion so I did not add the Characteristic to the Aggregation Level. I want to run the forecast at the higher level of aggregation excluding these two criteria (Sales Regions). If I include it in the Aggregation Level it runs the forecast at the individual Sales Regions. Can an expert clarify this is ok and I am not running the forecast at the higher level including the two Sales Regions.

Ok, I believe I have resolved the issue. I am going to summarize my previous process.
1.Created a Master Profile (forecast) for each Strategy I wanted to test. I would use the same Master Profile even if I changed the Parameters in the Univariate Profile.
2.Used the same forecast Activity, changing each time I changed the Strategy. Planning Job would remain the same.
3.By creating a New Activity & New Planning Job my forecast model appears to be running correctly. The only items I continue to select in the Planning Job Aggregation Level are SourceSystem and Product.
It Appears the best methodology is to set up a separate Master Profile/Univariate Profile for each Strategy & set of Parameters. A separate Activity & Planning Job should also be set up for each Strategy & set of Parameters. This would also have to be done in order to add to an overnight (monthly) Process Chain.

i have the same issue. I cannot delete an aggregationlevel. It has no dependent objects. I tried to use the Function module as described but i also get the same message RSPLS112 cannot delete aggregation level.

Planning Job Aggregation Level

I am running a Background Job (Univariate Forecast Profile). My Selection Profile excludes 3 single values can I still run the model at this level of aggregation "total" excluding those 3 single values. Running the model at the Total should be more accurate than running the model for 22 single values and summing the forecast. For some reason a forecast is no longer being produced? I do get the warning Characteristic of selection not part of aggregation level. I didn't notice any problems the last couple months.
