Aggregator TOC loads with extended header/footers

I created an .exe using the CP6 aggregator with the TOC size of the Master movie at the default 250. The TOC of the aggregated project loaded normally when I ran the .exe. However, when I increased the TOC size of the Master movie to 350, the header and footer of the TOC extend themselves into the viewing area while the chapters are loading. (You can see them in the whitespace in the image below.) It's only for a brief moment but looks unprofessional and I would like to figure out how to stop it from happening. (I cannot decrease the TOC width as I need the 350 to properly display the chapter titles.) Any help would be appreciated.

Problem Using Header/Footers in Pages App

I am in desperate need of some help with these header/footers. I have a 15 page document that I created in Pages and every time I try to insert 'auto page numbers', it labels some page numbers and not others. For instance, I have a Title page, a Table of Contents and then the main body of the document, but whenever I try to insert a header or a footer, it will insert them on the Title page, skip over the table of contents and then sporadically insert page numbers throughout the document.
Can anyone help me? I just want regular page numbers in the main body of the document only as well as a URL weblink for the footer in the main body of the document only.

I bought a brand new Mac 27" desktop that came loaded with Adobe CS6. Everything worked like a charm until the hard drive, 1Tb, developed a bad sector and the Apple Store reinstalled a new one as I had extended warranty with them. They recycled the drive immediately (like a fool I didn't ask for it back to get the data off it.) But luckily I have all my data on CrashPlan. I downloaded it and it worked great except I downloaded it to the desktop and not the original location so it got squirrely. I also have an external 1.5Tb drive that I wanted to make bootable so I installed Mavericks 10.9.3 . I then went ahead and installed it on the newly installed drive too.
I think that because I have a new drive Adobe thinks I have a news computer. I bought the 27" Mac brand new from Ebay and it came loaded with software, including CS6. I have a serial number for CS6 but Adobe said it wasn't valid. (I have owned CS2, CS4 and now CS6 which came preloaded onto the Mac by the seller who told me that the software was registered to the Mac???
I am going to re-download the backup but this time to the original location (I still don't think it will work with Adobe. What can I do about this?

Problem creating an extendable panel with a header

Hi -
I'm trying to create a base panel class. What it needs is a header at the
top of it with a title box(another panel) of a different color. The title of
course is in the title box. My primitive solution was to create a parent
panel and place the title box on the header panel, then the header on
the parent panel. My problem is that I can't extend from that and add
components to it with the header there.
Does anybody have a more elegant solution?

You can use createdby field to determine the docentry of the base document instead of quering docentry by docnum

Aggregator – TOC stretching issues

Hi all,
I have four captivate projects that I’m loading via the Aggregator. (master4agtest, agtestPart1, agtestPart2, agtestPart3). When I publish the aggregator project as a swf or a Windows executable the following happens:
The TOC stretches vertically past the bottom of the swf files.
With the swf output files, I noticed that when I open each htm file separately they look like I expect them to look, that is, the bottom of the TOC is flush with the playbar. When I open the aggregated htm file, I get what you see above.
Is there a way to prevent the TOC from stretching in the aggregated htm file? Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? Why does it do this?
I’m using Captivate 5.0.1.624 on Windows XP. I’ll be happy to post/share files if it will help!

I never really used the Aggregator myself, but I did a search here on the forums and it's pretty clear that you can't do anything at all to modify the way the aggregator works.
Apparantly it's not possible to remove the aggregator TOC and it's not possible to have the expander icon or make the TOC smaller.

Essbase Load Rules File Header Issue

Hi,
Is it possible to specify more than one member for the same dimension in the Load Rules file Header?
Example: I need to load the same data in all the remaining months in current year.
I tried using a substitution variable in the header which is defined as Aug,Sep,Oct,Nov,Dec.
It loaded randomly. For each account, only one month is loaded.
It loads only as many data points as in the data file regardless of the number of members from the same dimension specified in the Header definition.
Any suggestions to correct this.
Using a Calc script to do a data copy cannot be used because of other process limitations.

Randomly? That's really interesting. But yeah, I wouldn't expect that to work.
I have a hard time thinking of a really good option that will handle an variable number of periods and is driven by a single subvar.
Run the load multiple times, cycling through the subvar settings? Or (faster, if Period is dense) create one load rule for each period, with the data column copied multiple times using field manipulation and the future Periods assigned to each column (rather than using a 'Data' field) and run only the rule you need? That option doesn't use a subvar at all, but still requires conditional logic in the process.
Alternatively, do the transformation in your source extract / parse the file. This is really the 'best' option but I appreciate there are sometimes constraints on changing upstream processes.

Problem with my header

I have a website setup and running for at least a year. We just changed to a dedicated server and for some reason I am experiencing trouble with the header image of the general web. When I load the page the header is now loading behind the flash window and then on a second hit of the enter key will load to the top where it should be. This site has been up and running for almost a year, can't figure why the problem now. But need to know what I need to look at. The flash content has been there since the beginning too.
Any help would be appreciated.

Would appreciate any guidance. One more thing if I may. I ran it through the w3c validator and got a terrific amount of errors for the code "<", "&", "> in the various scripts in the head. It recommends replacing it with the "&lt" , & but won't this screw up the script.

Oddly, when one enters text that is a paragraph string longer than the width of the the page, the text doesn't wrap. There seems to be something a bit wonky with the margins, but perhaps it's something else. I fiddled with styles to see if I could control it, but to no avail. I'm giving up and boing back to '09. Each time I think I'll switch to iWork 5, I encounter some other restrictive feature that sends me scurrying back to '09.

TOC - won't display Heading 2 entries

Hello,
I keep trying to generate a TOC with my Heading 1's and Heading 2's. The Heading 1 entries are created just fine, but the Heading 2 entries are just blank lines. A paragraph mark is placed, but no entry. Anyone eer had this problem?

Net Price Loading with "ZERO" - 0PUR_C01

My customer wants to see GR Qty, GR Value based on posting date.
Both are loaded fine.
Here i need to show netprice. (0NETPRICE). I have included 0NETPRICE in cube and selected posting date in update rule.
If suppose, for a purchase order if more than one GR date is there, except first date all date are getting loaded with netprice as "ZERO"
(I.E) For a Purchase order based on document date,
if GR date is more than one , Except first date all dates
are getting loaded with "ZERO"
Example: Document Date : 14.04.2006
GR Date: 14.04.2006, 20.04.2006, 27.04.2006, 30.04.2006
Here 14.04.2006 alone loading with net price.
Any Help regarding this ....

Thanks for the Advice. Here i need to point out about net price.
For Each purchasing document based document date the extractor write GR Qty and GR Val as "ZERO" when first row.
In the Update routine as per standard logic SAP won't cosider
that row. Hence that record aggregating properly.
The second GR date does not getting start with GR Qty and GR Val as "ZERO". When aggregation happends it will be "ZERO".
In RSA3 i can able to see net price for all GR dates.(Based on Posting Date)
Problem is while loading it is getting aggregate to ZERO values even though NET PRICE is available in RSA3.
Even in the object level (0NETPRICE) , i have changed exception aggreagation based on 0DOC_NUM, Posting Date,
Cal Day, Material Doument number with different options available. But no luck.
Can you OR any friends, throw some more idea Please ....?

Applying filter to images loaded with movieClipLoader

Hello,
I am building a product gallery and have a number of rather
large bitmap images that I am loading with movieClipLoader. I need
to apply drop shadow filters to them when they are loaded. I have
tried several methods of going about this without success. One
method was putting the loaded images into a movie clip with
createEmptyMovieClip, and then applying the filter dynamically, but
I couldn't seem to get it to work- the filter never appeared. I
then tried applying the filter to the bitmap itself with
bitMapData, but because I was not loading the bitmaps using
bitMapData itself (I think) I wasn't able to get that method to
work either.
Does anyone have a suggestion or a recommendation for me?

Were you doing it after the onLoadInit event in the
MovieClipLoader's listener?
Try doing it that way if you haven't. One option I use for
dynamic image loading is to create and empty holder clip - use that
for placement and create another empty clip inside that one that I
use as the loading target... I think this should work if you set
the filter at the level of the first 'empty' clip. I had to use
this approach a number of times because I was using a tweening
engine based on movieclip prototype extensions (old hat I know) and
loading new images kicked out the extended functionality from the
clip the images are loaded into. That doesn't happen to the clip's
parent... hence I think it might work also for what you want to do.
Another thing to watch for is that you can't do bitmapData
copies of images from a different domain unless you have
crossdomain policy support - you can set it up so this works. I'm
not sure if this affects filters though.

FCP X is loading and loading with the colour wheel revolving for ever for the past few days.

FCP X is loading and loading with the colour wheel revolving for ever, for the past few days.
FCP X was working fine in my new 15" Mac book pro (Retina display with Mountain Lion 10.8.2) for the past one month. Now a days, each time I try to open the FCP X, the same non-stop colour wheel is rotating, trying to restore one of my project. It continues even for hours together. Finally I am force quiting the application.
How do I come out of it ? Will I be able to recover my project. I didn't do any backup in particular.
Is backing up on the regular basis is required?
I tried the following guidance by Apple,
In the Finder, hold down the Option key and choose Library from the Go menu.
In the Library folder that opens, go to Application Support/Final Cut Pro.
Drag the Layouts folder from the Final Cut Pro folder to the Trash.

This is my pet checklist for questions regarding FCP X performance - you may have already addressed some of the items but it's worth checking.
Make sure you're using the latest version of the application - FCP X 10.0.5 runs very well on my 2009 MacPro 2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon with 16 GB RAM and ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024 MB. I run it with Lion 10.7.5.
First, check that you have at least 20% free space on your system drive.
For smooth playback without dropping frames, make sure 'Better Performance' is selected in the FCP X Preferences - Playback Tab.
If you have not already done so, move your Projects and Events to a fast (Firewire 800 or faster) external HD. Make sure the drive's formatted OS Extended (journalling's not required for video). You should always keep at least 20% free space on the Hard Drives that your Media, Projects and Events are on.
Check the spec of your Mac against the system requirements:

If you are getting crashes, there is some conflict on the OS. Create a new (admin) user account on your system and use FCP X from there - if it runs a lot better, there's a conflict and a clean install of the OS would be recommended.
Keep projects to 20 mins or less. If you have a long project, work on 20 min sections then paste these into a final project for export.
If your playback in FCP X is not good, I strongly recommend you use ProRes 422 Proxy - it edits and plays back like silk because the files are small but lightly compressed (not much packing and unpacking to do) - but remember to select 'Original or Optimised Media' (FCP X Preferences > Playback) just before you export your movie, otherwise it will be exported at low resolution.
The downside of 'Proxy' is that it looks awful. DON'T use Proxy when you're assessing things like video quality - especially focus.
If you have plenty of processor power, for the ultimate editing experience, create Optimised Media - most camera native files are highly compressed and need a great deal of processor power to play back - particularly if you add titles, filters or effects. ProRes 422 takes up much more hard drive space but is very lightly compressed. It edits and plays back superbly.
Personally, I work with XDCAM EX and h.264 from a Canon DSLR. Both of these run fine with my system, but I do transcode multicam clips.
Hide Audio Waveforms at all times when you don't need them (both in Browser and Storyline / Timeline). They take up a lot of processor power. (Use the switch icon at the bottom-right of your timeline to select a format without waveforms if you don't need them at the moment, then switch back when you do).
Create folders in the Project and Events libraries and put any projects you are not working on currently, in those folders. This will help a lot. There's a great application for this, called Event Manager X - for the tiny cost it's an invaluable application.

Unless you cannot edit and playback without it, turn off Background Rendering in Preferences (under Playback) - this will help general performance and you can always render when you need to by selecting the clip (or clips) and pressing Ctrl+R.
The biggest single improvement I saw in performance was when I upgraded the RAM from 8 GB to 16.
If none of this helps, you might have incompatible or corrupt media or project files. Move ALL your Events and Projects to temporary folders so that FCP X doesn't find them on launch. If it launches OK, re-introduce the Events and Projects one at a time, re-launching each time, so that you can track down the corrupt or incompatible files.

Changing colors/style sheets with custom header portlets?

We would like write a completely custom header portlet (a standard portlet that is designated as a header, notusing the branding server), but I can't seem to find a way to change the style sheets in subportals when I do this.
Am I missing something? Do you have to use the branding engine to control style sheets in subportals, or is there another way?

The way Branding accomplishes what you're looking for is by setting a portlet setting called "Portal-Style" on the header portlet using the EDK. This setting can be set either as an Admin level or CommunityPortlet level setting. When the portal loads a page with a header, it will check to see if the header has this preference set (first on the CommunityPortlet level, if the header is on a community, and then on the Admin level). If so, the portal will cause everything to use the stylesheet specified in the setting value.
The setting value is the name of the stylesheet. For example, if you wished every page displaying the header to be orange, you could set the "Portal-Style" Admin setting on the portlet to a value of "mainstyle17", the orange-themed stylesheet.
Perhaps I'm not setting the preference properly. Sniffing the HTTP headers between the gadget and portal servers, I do see:

(I also tried it with Portal%u002DStyle, but neither works)
The remote server header portlet doesn't seem to be picking up the fact that there is an admin pref to override the main page's stylesheet. Did I create the portlet wrong, or am I setting the preference incorrectly, or what? Thanks
