Ah not the printer maybe something in Aperture ?

I found out it is not the printer....it is printing everything from my Aperture Library that I migrated over just fine...the printing problem lines occurs when I try to print things I have recently added to the library...sooo what do you all think

AS you know, you appear to be missing the controls on the right side of the Browser. Two suggestions:
1) try selecting the Split view instead of the Browser view to see if this is at least normal and then revert back to the Browser view.
2) the actual Browser window is not seeing your window dimensions correctly so try to hit the standard application Resize button on the screen once or twice to change the window size.
Let me know if neither suggestion worked!

  • When printing from my Mac all of a sudden when printing from IPhoto the picture is really dark.  The test page off my HP color laser jet is just fine.  It is not the printer although older.  All of sudden it does not want to print correctly.

All of a sudden when printing from my desktop Mac in IPhoto the printout comes out black.  My colors are fine on my HP color laser printer.  I have printed many times and now all of a sudden it is not printing.  A test copy from my printer comes out fine.  I really think for some reason something has changed just in the last few days.  Just communication with IPhoto and the computer.

As long as your cartriges are full, put a photo on you desktop, highlight it , click COMMAND P and the print preferences window should drop down, and select your printer and photo paper.

In your Print Job panel is a pulldown (near the top) called Print to:  Set it to Printer instead of JPEG file.

  • Can not print from my pc using time capsule's printer, but the mac in the office will.  PC sees the network just not the printer connected to the capsule.

I can't get my pc to see the printer connected to the time capsule, it sees and connect to the network but will not see the printer.  The mac in the office see both the network and the printer connected to the capsule.

Suggest that you check to make sure that you installed Bonjour Print Services for Windows v2.0.2 on the PC.
Run the program and hopefully it will find your printer so you can select it and click to get things going.

  • MacBook Air defaults to "last printer used", not the printer that is on the available network

    Hello
I have searched the forum and not found a discussion of a problem exactly like mine...which is not as frustrating as not being able to print, but slightly burdensome nonetheless. I have a MacBook Air with OSX 10.6.8. I use the machine in two different places, each with a wireless network, and each network has one printer connected to it. However, these are not and have not been set up as different "locations". In the past, when I printed a document the machine would correctly, and automatically, choose which printer to print to based on which network it was connected to. Now, it defaults to "last printer used" (the only choices are this, and the two printers, but none of these choices works in my setup as I go back and forth between the two different places almost daily). My machine does see both printers and if I manually change the printer when I move around, I can print so it is not an issue of the machine not connecting to the printer. Is there a way for my machine to automatically detect which printer it should print to, based on which network the machine is connected to? I am quite sure it used to do this before some update.
    Thank you very much

Mac's are no more reliable than any other PC on the market.
What is your source for this for this statement?  All the surveys that I have seen show significant differences between manufacturers and put Macs at or near the top.
Macs use the same hardware as all the others.
There may be SOME common parts, but certainly not all, so your statement lacks accuracy.  In addition, the design and build are other factors that have to be taken into consideration when making comparisons.  Thus there are significant differences between ALL laptops.notebooks.
    Ciao.

  • Is there a way to enlarge the print, maybe zoom in or out?

Sometimes when I read on line the print is so small I have trouble reading it. Also, I play different games on facebook and such and some of them are so small. I would like to enlarge them. I did it before on internet explorer but haven't figured out if I can do it with firefox. Thank you.

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.
    *Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
    *NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/

  • I cannot print anything with FF. It is not the printer as it is the same if I print to pdf factory. The print preview on both is also blank. I have no problem with any other browser.

I am unable to print anything through FF. I have tried the printer and also to pdf factory. Both result in blank pages being printed and also blank print previews. I am using FF 5.0. I have no problem with IE, Chrome or Safari. In order to print from FF I have to copy the text etc and paste into Word.

  • HP Laserjet 5si is printing postscript, not the print job

What is the adjustment that needs to stop my HP Laserjet 5si from printing page after page of postscript jibberish?
Thanks to everyone that helped me to install this printer in my System Printer cue. After the present problem is solved, all should be well.

I eliminating my router and connecting the 5si directly to the Mac's Ethernet port. Now nothing happens, other than an error message that my network is busy.
You'll likely have to delete the exiting Printer in Printer Setup Utility and redo it after moving it... it may not even work without setting the IP of the hp to the same range as the Mac, without the Router handing out DHCP.
On the Garbage, if the 1st page starts out something like this, then it may think it's a Line Printer instead of a PostScript Printer...

  • Can't get airport express to print.  Music transfers wirelessly but not the print.  How do I fix this

I cant get the airport express to connect to computer for printing.  It does connect for music but not printing.  How do I correct this

Don't know, how did you hook it up (what kind of cable)? You can send audio through an HDMI connection provided a MacBook Pro is (I believe) from 2009 or newer.
Converting to VGA or DVI will not send audio - if you're using that kind of connection, you'll need to add an audio cable from the headphones port.
Also check the Sound Out setting in the Sounds panel of System Preferences.

  • In Windows 7 document printing the "Properties" button does not open the print selection list.

New computer OS is Windows 7. Old computer OS was Windows XP.
HP Officejet 4500 Wireless Printer G510n-z printed documents as I chose using the Porperties button on the old system. Under the new system the Properties button does nothing and I must print using "general printing" instead of the setting I wish to use. How can it be fixed?

When something works one day, but not the next, then something has changed. The fonts issue is an easy one, but with no new ones, then it is possible that one, or more, of the installed fonts has become corrupted.
While fonts are not the only possibility, they ARE a common problem. Titler is very sensitive to fonts, either corrupt ones, or badly written ones, that are not exactly "corrupt."
    Good luck,

  • Nvidia 8800 GT not the best for Aperture use?

I've been reading from barefeats ( http://barefeats.com/harper10.html ) that the 8800 GT is not the best graphics card for Aperture. Actually I don't think they actually tested Aperture, but Motion 3. The Nvidia is a more expensive option than the ATIs, yet it would be worse for Aperture? Has someone specifically benchmarked Aperture 2 (not another pro app, and no synthetic tests of core image) with the 8800 GT against the other cards? Would Apple update Aperture to make it take better advantage of the 8800 GT's strengths (when available in a system)? I hope so. I already got the Nvidia, and am waiting to get a Mac Pro in the summer.

Here's my prelim findings (as posted in another thread). Will come back with more detailed comments after I have a chance to test some more:

I've just put one in my first gen mac pro, too. I can confirm a great deal of improvement over the stock 7300 gt. My prob was when an image had been straightened, cropped etc if I then attempted edge sharpening it was just awful - beachballs in abundance, crappy panning, slower than Capture NX. Now, though, it is fast and pleasant to use. That's the good news. The bad news is either:
    1. Apple put such a puny graphics card in a Mac Pro (sic) in the first place (although it copes with everything except its own Pro photo software)
    2. Apple wrote such idiosyncratic software (leaning on the on-graphics card memory so much) that meant Mac Pro (sic) machines hardly more than a year old couldn't cope without a new graphics card when running Apple's own pro photo software. That and the 7300 is still on the "recommended" list of cards for running Aperture 2.
    Ho and, indeed, hum.
    Cheers

  • HT4356 I got a new wireless modem. The HP 8600 no longer works and is not seen as an airport printer. The diagnostics on the printer say it is connected to the wireless.

Suddenly no wireless printing works. The printer is a HP 8600e and the wireless is turned on and the printer itself can connect to the network, but OSX no longer sees it as an airport printer and nothing prints. I've tried all the Apple support docs without success.

An old addage of troubleshooting is "First, fix what you most recently changed."
All the driver uninstall etc, was probably unnecessary.
Power cycle the router (wireless modem).
    Power cycle the printer.
Now check that the printer is in the local subnet of the router.
(local subnet means router is something like 192.168.1.1, your computer is something like 192.168.1.2, and the printer is something like 192.168.1.3 - only the last part - 192.168.1.x - is allowed to be different).
Add the printer using the default printer browser window.
If this doesn't work, Reset Printing system and re-add.

  • Red CIrcle X becaue the printer does not exist

I have been getting the "print - RED CIRCLE X" because the requested printer does not exist" since I installed CS5 when it first came out. I am using Windows VISTA Home Premium, Service Pack 2 - Photoshop CS5, 12.0.4 64 bit. My computer is an i-7, 920 @2.67GHz with 18GB RAM, 64 bit.
I can print ONE print, the default size shown is STRANGE 1.083" x 3.5 inch, though default is LTR size.
If I try to print another print from the same photo or another, I get the "does not exist" error.
If I try to access the print properties after the first print, I get the "does not exist" error.
My printers - EPSON R1800, R2000 with the latest drivers (6.7 for the R2000).
From the size of the discussion and length - going back past 2010, I thing that Abode should have solved this problem by now. Adobe wants to keep stretching the horizon but can't seem to fix what's wrong with their products NOW. Fortunately, I do not use this version of Photoshop to do a lot of printing. I use another computer on WIndows XP and Photoshop CS3 and don't get this problem.
PHOTOSHOP ENGINEERS, Please wake up and fix the problem. I think that your users have identified a problem that is not isolated to one brand of printer (not the printer's fault - it works with other programs), it is not one version of Windows, IT IS WITH PHOTOSHOP CS5. And don't tell me that it will be fixed in the next updated version. I'm not paying for a program that has this basic a fault - which yo guys can't fix after years of hearing us complain about it.

What does the default printer box show?
