Ahh..screen for no reason lights up on its own...

It just started happening the other day but today its been happening more and more. My phone will just light up on its own for no reason at all. Sometimes the message will pop up, "Do you want to turn Airplane mode on?" I've tried totally resetting my iPhone and have reloaded all of my stuff back on and it is still lighting up on its own. Also, it will not let me shut it off, I will shut if off, but right away it will turn back on. When I go to try and reset it by pushing the home and sleep button at the same time and holding it, it will just ask me if I want to shut it off. My warranty that came with my phone through apple is up, so hopefully I can get some help and fix this so I don't have to buy a new one yet! lol My main concern for my phone doing this is that it kills my battery. Please HELP!

I recently made the same mistake. The thing to do is download the new Quicken Essentials for MAC. After you install the new version follow the instructions on how to transfer your old files. There is a way, it just takes a little time and, if I remember correctly, it takes the info from your quicken backup files. Hopefully you had auto back up on and your files are intact. I didn't and reconstruction was a bear but entirely possible. The new Quicken is quite different but seems to work quite well. Good luck.

Camera changes light levels on its own!

It's time for a firmware update! This camera has a random problem of raising and lowering the light levels on its own and causing motion detection!

I've notice that a How about it Linksys when are you folks going to fix the firmware?lso and also reported seveeral more probles with the 2008 R24 firmware . Noone seems to listening from Linksys!

Installing SQL server for SCCM 2012 local vs on its own server (primary site enviorment only)

When building a primary stand alone site server does Microsoft consider it best practice to install sql locally or on its own server. Is there an official statement from Microsoft suggesting this?

There is no official statement either way from Microsoft as both configurations are fully supported. Generally speaking, it is easier to collocate SQL on the same system as the Primary Site so long as the server meets the hardware recommendations.
Among the trade-offs are reduced network traffic vs avoiding a single point of failure for the site itself. Since the CM site license also includes the license for SQL, licensing is not really an issue.

Drop zone content fills entire screen for some reason. Help!

Hi, everyone. I've used iDVD for years, but have not had this problem before. I'm trying to use the 4:3 template called "Projector". There is only one drop zone, which should show what the projector is playing. However, when I right click the area and "Fill with Content" (I want video playing there), it doesn't just fill the small square where it's supposed to. Instead, it just takes up the entire screen of the project, completely overlapping the template. In other words, I can't even see the Projector template anymore.
Has anyone else had this experience, or even better, have a solution to it?

Actually, that's a perfectly acceptable way to add content to that drop zone. I've been doing it for years. With a single click on the video box (once "fill with content" is selected), you're even able to adjust where the video starts and ends. If you're just looking to load on general video from your iMovie project, it's a great shortcut to use.
I know the other method of loading content into the drop zone. But that didn't really answer my question as to why the entire screen was filling up with content. I've re-installed the software twice, which fixes it, but I'm just wondering why that problem keeps occurring over time.

Since IOS 7.0.3 Screen flashes back to main screen for no reason

If I am reading an email or a web page, the screen usually flashes back to the main screen without reason or notice. I have "reset all settings" in the settings section, perform cold and warm reboots but nothing seems to help. Any others with similar problem?

Try resetting the device (hold the home and power keys down until the Apple logo appears ).

In these situations the first step would be start the computer from the CD that came with it, by putting the CD in the slot and holding down the C key as the computer starts up. This will be a lot slower than normal, because you're starting off a CD and not a proper disk drive.
Once the computer has started, look for Disk Utilities (DO NOT choose the option of installing the system software - Apple has organised these disks in a very confusing way). In Disk Utilities, check and fix your hard drive, and repair permissions, then try once more to start up (not from the CD this time).
That's always the first thing to do. If it doesn't work....come back.

If you press and hold the home button and click on the sleep button once, the iPod will make a screenshot of your home screen and add it to the photos on your device.
If you don't press the home button or the sleep button during to do this, one of your buttons might be stuck.
Try to reset the iPod by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again, ignore the "slide to turn off" message when you press and hold the buttons.

Generally, that means that the app is crashing. Could be the app has issues, or it could be putting more demands on your device than your device can handle. One thing to do is to quit all the apps you're not needing.
If your iPad is running iOS7, double tap the home button. You'll see the app icons and preview windows appear on your screen. Scroll sideways if needed and shut down all the apps you don't need. It's not uncommon for folks to have a dozen or more apps running that you don't even know are running. Close down the apps you don't need. To exit the mode either tap the home button once or tap on the preview of the home screen. THen try your app again and see if it works better.

Cracked screen for no reason??!!

So tonight I hung up my phone after a call to Verizon's customer service (talk about timing..). I did the soft reset she told me to do to try and fix another issue, and as it was turning back on my screen completely cracked! It wasn't dropped, hit on anything, or banged around. It was literally in my hand and I watched it crack. Is Verizon doing anything about this?? Why should I have to pay $100 to my insurance for something I didn't do or have any control of. Beyond frustrated right now!

It is unfortunate your screen is cracked. I have not come across any situations where a screen has been arbitrarily cracked. I have witnessed a small unnoticeable crack, eventually spread due to continued pressure on the display screen (using the touch screen as intended) . Minimizing from full screen for no reason

When I watch movies on the internet and switch to full screen mode after a few mins full screen minimizes back to the web page. how can I stop this?

workflows...
Personally I think the full screen preview is more meant for sorting
properties then to view the changes made in ACR but it might be a nice
Feature Request (there is a dedicated forum page for this, see the links at
right side of main forum page.
For what it is worth, I tried your way of working and after altering in ACR
I don't have the appearance of the Bridge Window in front, the full screen
preview updates almost immediately. However now the top menu bar for Bridge
is showing as well as my Dock so also on a Mac this workflow is not going to
work 100 % for you
A workaround might be to create your own workspace in Bridge using the
filmstrip mode as basic. Drag the preview panel for this to a size as big as
possible without losing the content panel (place the content panel either at
left side or at top with dragging until you see the blue lines). Now you
should have fast changing big previews without interfering of Bridge window.
For sorting you could choose filename after you have renamed the files. I
use Photodownloader for this upon ingestion rename the files with yyyymmdd
and a sequence number to leave them in natural order I created the files but
with no change to overwrite older files due to limited naming convention
dSLR uses.
But there are many ways to rename, even after having files already in Bridge
sorted with date created and then using batch rename with a proper naming
convention, but that is up to you
I regularly work on photos by starting with a full-screen preview and keying
Ctrl-R to open with ACR. When I am finished with ACR, I am returned to the
full-screen preview. I am guessing that the reorganisation of the Content
panel is what causes the Bridge window to come to the foreground (covering the
full-screen preview) after several seconds. This is all that could be
happening.

Hello! I have a big problem that I have is very frustrating. I bought the phone Xperia z1 compact and used it very carefully. He wore a protective film and a cover. But at one point appeared on the screen stopped working crack sensor. There was no impact. He just lay on the table. Read in internerte that could increase the battery from heat and break the screen. Press Home + Power button and see if your iOS works again if it is also not working just remove the charger it will turn off by itself when the battery will be drained then you may try it again or better way is to just open iTunes and Restore it on iOS 8

My iphone 5 touch screen seems to have a mind of its own. Please help

My iphone 5 touch screen seems to have a mind of it's own. Whilst I am trying to type a text message it will quite often whilst i'm tapping on letters, typr different letters, or open up the edit messages to select and delete messages.
The screen can quite often take up to 5 attempts to use the home button when the phone it locked to bring up the swipe to unlock, and even then sometimes it will take 4 or more attempts to swpie to unlock.
Most recently I was on FB chatting and whilst typing, the letters were all coming out completely wrong, and then it was taking me into completely different screens, screens that whilst i'm tapping letters at the bottom on the screen, i'd have to ne touching a button at the top of the screem to actualy get into - yet my phone is doing it on it's own.
It has even whilst sittig next to me on the bed, scrolled from my "home page" to the next page over ???
i have spoken to Telstra who suggested a network restore, this did nothing. They suggested doing a back up, the a complete restore, which I am hesistant in doing as I have a fear of losing everything on my phone esxpecially my contacts, despite having done a back up.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Restart your iPhone...
Hold down the sleep / wake button until you see the red slider then swipe to power off. Then hold down the sleep / wake button until you see the Apple logo.
Try the keyboard. If that doesn't help, try force quitting the app you are using when the keyboard becomes unusable.
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the app quits.
