Ai CC: Repeatable 3D Bevel Error

I was playing around with the new AI CC fetures, notably Live Corners. Live Corners is very useful, but in doing this, I discovered a possible BUG in 3D Bevel. (See screen shots, below.)
There is nothing apparently wrong with the path Live Corners produced (no double-points, etc.), so I found no object repair possible before applying 3D Bevel.
After discovering this, I undid the 3D Bevel, and rotated the object slightly. Here is what 3D Bevel does now:
AI CS6 does the same thing, but the errors are in different places. AI CS5 has different looking errors, and there are many more of them.
Any thoughts on workarounds? Or am I just stuck with an AI CC 3D Bevel BUG?

Try this:
https://www.dropbox.com/home/AI%20Bugs%20-%20Test%20Files
Steps to reproduce:
1. Make a 10-point star
2. Use Live Corners to round all the points
3. Effect > 3D > Extrude and Bevel
... See Bevel settings in the ai file.
4. Copy and rotate the beveled object slightly, to see "additional" errors

I figured that was the case, but I've used the same passcode for years and I can't seem to figure out how I managed to screw it up when I set up my phone. Without being able to access my phone for a restore, how would I accomplish this? iTunes? Thank you very much for you help!

  • Repeated "Bad Request" errors after clearing cache, cookies, and cookies.sqlite

I get repeated "Bad Request" errors when submitting forms, logging in/out of sites, etc. I get this on a wide variety of sites. I have tried repeatedly clearing all cache and cookies. And I just tried disabling all my add-ons (only have 4) and then deleting the cookies.sqlite file and this still made no difference.
I am using Mac OS 10.5.8 and Firefox 5.0.1 but I have been experiencing this problem in past versions as well, maybe as far back as the latest firefox 3. My main motivation for upgrading Firefox multiple times was hoping this problem was corrected. It never used to happen, it just started happening all of a sudden. It has never occurred on Safari and I am still able to get any site that doesn't work properly to work on Safari without any problem.
I experience this on many sites. One reliable cause of it is logging out of Facebook.

You did delete all cookies.* files ?
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file <i>cookies.sqlite</i> that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> and <b>cookies.txt</b>, if they exist, in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile:
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

  • Reading Structured XML the Repeater gives an error

Hi I have seen some good answers on this forum and I am looking for some assistance please.
I have read in xml documents fine from a iDoc Listener and now I want to update the Production orders with a BAPI. the xml that I get from the Production system is in a well structured format. Then the repeater gives an error the xpath expression is now "<b><u>XmlLoader_0.XmlContent{/xml/rs:data/z:row}</u></b>" and not the normal <b>XmlLoader_0.XmlContent{/Rowsets/Rowset/Row}</b>.
I am sure that I will sort the reading of it once I get the repeater to read the document for me.
    Thanks
    Cheers,
    Dave

    Dave,
Glad to see you were able to sort things out.  The Rowsets/Rowset/Row xml format is the standard xMII internal format that you will see when working with any of the Query action block outputs, the Document building actions, and any of the XML convenience blocks like CalculatedColumns, etc.
Since the iDOC file came through the external listener, the xml format will not be in this format, just like when seeing the Request/Response xml schemas when working with JCO calls to BAPI's on your R/3 system, webservice calls, etc.
    Regards,
    Jeremy

  • I repeatedly receive an error when my IPad is trying to restore during the IOS 5 update. The error is (-50).  How do I fix this?

I repeatedly receive an error when my IPad is trying to restore during the IOS 5 update. The error is (-50).  How do I fix this?

Try restarting everything and then try to sync or reactivate. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, reboot your iPad and then try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • IWeb team: What's up with the repeated Blog publish errors?

I maintain a simple, albeit many-entry -- all with photos, Blog on my daughter's .Mac iWeb site. Since the last iWeb update, I've started to encounter repeated difficulties when attempting to publish new Blog entries. All other updates on the site (Photo Albums, About Me, etc.) successfully publish, whereas new Blog entries pose the same problem, as follows:
"Publish error - Can't create the file "shapeimage_(blah, blah, blah).png. The disk may be damaged, full, or you may not have sufficient access privileges."
Many of you are VERY familiar with that ubiquitous message. However, my many attempts at troubleshooting and workarounds (e.g. publish to a folder, close open applications, delete files from iDisk, republish all, trash and rebuild pages, Domain reloads, etc. -- thank you, James Tseng, Varkgirl, et al.) fail to isolate the CAUSE of the problem. Specifically, what is the iWeb app doing while it assembles the Blog page(s) that results in the iWeb-centric "can't create..." error message?
Please note that I am doing nothing different when adding a new Blog. The process is the exact same one that I've employed for over a year, one that lets iPhoto/iWeb do most of the work (in terms of layout).
As most of you know, it's a time-consuming process waiting for updates to publish to the site, let alone wondering IF the updates will successfully publish.
Unless I am mistaken and more often than not, the "shape_image" error message is pointing to a file generated by iWeb as it readies the behind-the-scenes HTML for upload, yes?
I'd appreciate some specific troubleshooting and answers, please.

  • Repeated Schannel 36887 Errors - Fatal alert 46

I'm having a strange Schannel error repeatedly on my Exchange SP2 install.  Everything is working properly (webmail/ecp/activesync), but I get repeated Schannel event 36887 errors.  Each error coincides exactly with two Security Audit Success events.
This is happening on average more than once per minute.
    Schannel Event 36887
The following fatal alert was received: 46.
    Microsoft Windows Security  Event 5058:

These forums are useless. People post a useless answer and then mark it as an answer for themselves. Meanwhile, my EXCHANGE server keeps filling the event log with this error. The error did not occur when the server was set up. No changes were made
to the server except for Windows updates. Ergo, Microsoft did something to cause this error, but they don't want to do anything to fix the error. And why would we discuss this in the IIS forum when it's an Exchange issue? Possibly Exchange is using IIS but
    it's still an Exchange issue.
I usually simply disable the chatter and only enable it if I am troubleshooting an error in the registry:
    Set-itemproperty HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\Schannel -Name
    EventLogging -Value 0
As for why that chatter is in the logs in the first place, that I do not know, sorry.

  • Repeated "Unsupported file" errors

We are currently working with an iTunes site that has +not been published yet+ and have encountered numerous "Error: Unsupported file" messages. The files are .MOV with H.264 video, AAC audio, and range from 200-700MB in size (my understanding is that 1GB is the limit). In some instances, different files that are part of the same video series, and have the exact same compression settings, will produce different results—some will upload and some will not, despite being almost identical. What else could be preventing these videos from uploading?
Please let me know if there is additional technical information that would be helpful in resolving this issue.

Hello.  W e are experiencing a similar issue.  I have tried to upload a number of .mov files into an iTunes U course, all of which were created using the same settings in the same software (iMovie).  I successfully uploaded these to a previous course, but in my new course (we migrated to a new version of our LMS) some upload and others upload most of the way and then show "Error: Unsupported  File."  The files use H.264 encoding and have a resolution of 320x240, at a bit rate of approximately 196 kbps; audio is encoded as AAC at 32 khz.  In my current "group" (tab), I have seven files, all with identical specs, only four of which uploaded successfully; the others fail repeatedly.  Here is a link to the feed for that group: https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/Feed/su.edu.7654378499.07654378507/ 4D06150C-7BD4-E434-A707-D957F28BFEA5%40su.edu/004dc3056783a9f36e102baa64634e57ed c48337046e354042fce4399bcf62c66f1a278bd4
