"AI Waveform Scan" family of VI's is in what LLB?

MY LV 7.0 VI is requesting some VI's not installed in LV8. They are:
"AI Waveform Scan",
"AI Waveform Scan (waveform)"
"AI Waveform Scan (scaled array)"
In what LLB are they located, or where do i get them???

They are part of the traditional NI-DAQ libraries as answered in your other post. Install traditional DAQ from your Drivers CD or download the latest.

AI Waveform Scan(scalled array).vi

I am getting data from AI Waveform Scan(scalled array).vi; the output is 2-D array, which I pass through Index array (with index value 0) to get data from one channel. It's output (1-D array) I pass to subvi which is only formula node within while loop(which was implemented for further development).
So what I expected to see on my formula node input was 1-D array of DAQ AI data(at least 1000 as this sets number fo scans value)
To my suprise I can see only one input value.
The application flow is as follows:
- While loop is preparing array of sinusiod data
- Sinusoid data are passed one at a time to AO using sequence loop
- Next sequence reads data from AI
From above description it's obvious, that 1-D array can only be represented as one value at each loop execution.
My question is how to store in memory all consequtive AI data to array of i.e. 1000 samples and then process the data further?

Hello,
It sounds like you may be using a FOR loop and it auto-indexed the array by default at the input. Either that, or you are having trouble passing the array to your formula node. If you are trying to pass an array into the FOR loop and avoid the auto-indexing, you simply need to right click on the array's tunnel into the loop and select "Disable Indexing" - SEE THE ATTACHED SCREENSHOT. For help with formula node syntax, you'll find great documentation in the LabVIEW Help, which is linked from the Context Help (just click CTRL+H and hover over the formula node).

How do you clear the chart in an AI Waveform Scan VI upon program start?

I am using a waveform scan vi in a program. The output of the vi is set to "Waveform". What I want to do is have the program automaticly clear the waveform chart each time the program starts. Currently I must start the program, right click on the chart and select clear. I have attempted to use the chart history property node, which I assumed is the correct path to take but so far my attempts have been unsuccessful.

Ahhh, waveforms... These got better in LV 7 I hear.
Will this do it?

AI Waveform Scan Conversion of VI to LaqbVIEW 7.1

Hi,
I have a labVIEW program written in version Labview i think 5.1 or 6.0. Im using labVIEW Version 7.1 and when I run the simulation it gives me error 10401. I dont really understand what it means, but I am assuming that I cannot use AI Waveform Scan VI, therefore I must replace it.
Does anyone know any VI for the DAQmx that has the same properties such as channels, number of scans, scan rate,???

Can you verify that you have traditional DAQ installed? If you open MAX, then expand the software tab do you have "Traditional NI-DAQ" listed? If not, then this would explain why you are seeing the -10401 error. If you do not have it installed you should be able to download it from this site:

If it is installed then when you expand the "Devices and Interfaces" tab, you should have 2 categories, DAQmx devices and traditional DAQ devices. You should expand the traditional daq devices tab. From here you should be able to run Traditional DAQ's test panels on the device. If this works, then you have verified that your drive is installed correctly and that your device is also functioning. If this is the case, then something you are inputting in your VI is likely in error. If this is the case, feel free to save the VI (make the values you are attempting to use default before saving) and post it here. Also, if you could post the version of NI-DAQ you have installed as well as the hardware you are using it may be helpful.

Scanning Family Photos

Hi all
I'm guessing others have been down this path.
I've been given a few boxes of photos by my Mum and my brother and I have figured that we need to get them onto to dvd so our children actually know something of their origins, being somewhat rootless immigrants.
I tried the [mac ad slurp sound with hand gestures] but the photos are still in box and there's nothing on my computer. (Sorry couldn't resist that. Hurl stones as appropriate)
Seriously what have others found as the fastest way to get multiple photos into iPhoto given we don't have many of the negs.
What scanners have people found the best and fastest, because time is an issue before Mum can't tell us who's in the photos.
Or what other technologies work well

Scan time is a function of the resolution selected. To scan at screen resolution, 72-90, will be much quicker that to scan at a print resolution like 300 dpi or above. The interface, USB 2 vs 1.1 will affect the overall time. If there were a FW scanner that would be even faster as far as the transfer of data but the scanning is still dependent of format, i.e. B/W or color, and resolution.
If I was looking for a high resolution scanner it would be the resolution available and whether it was an optical scanner or a LED scanner. I don't do a lot of scanning so I went with the Canon which is a LED type but suffices for my needs. But an optical would be what you want to optimize image quality.
If speed is really of the upmost importance the a drum scanner would be what you'd want but those are expensive!

How do I scan a page to a document? What is OCR?

Some printers support scanning to editable documents right out of the box with their full feature software installed. However, for those of us who did not luck out with one of those printers we can use a little workarounds to get the same effect. Essentially all we need is a functioning scanner and the right software.
This is because scanning printed text to an editable document is based on OCR. Which stands for Optical Character Recognition – the best way that I can describe it is software that ‘reads’ the image by matching the letters in an image to typed characters. It can be a great way of keeping up with important documents or keeping a digital backup. I have even known some to scan in portions of local papers for records or to take on trips etc on a mobile devices after conversion. Pretty nifty.

Scan dialogue wont open in windows 7 what is the issue?

i am pulling my hair out on this one. Ive just purchased a new Officejet 8600 pro plus and the scan dialogue refuses to open. Ive tried all the usual things, even reinstalled the OS and it still doesnt work.
Why does HP package faulty software with new products, surely they would test this across a broad list of platforms before releasing it.

Here is the few checks to know exact problem
1. Did you try to scan from Microsoft Paint program. (Launch paint ->File->From Scanner or Cammera and chose the printer to scan)
2. Also try webscan. Go to your browser, enter the IP address of the printer into the address bar. Now go to scan tab and do the scan.
If above works, then it is something to do with your PC firewall or antivirus. You may try to stop those and do following steps.

My scanner keeps scanning in jpeg instead of pdf. What do I need to do?

When I go to scan documents my scanner has started to scan as jpegs instead of pdf. I've tried several times to switch it back to pdf. It works while I finish my scans but the next time I go to scan more documents it goes back to jpeg. Where do I go and what do I check or uncheck to keep it scanning as pdf?

Select scan DOCUMENT rather than PHOTO, it will scan af pdf file(s). My suggestion: scan from printer software (on your computer) will give your more choices.

I need to scan loads of photographs onto my mac, what is the best scanner to purchase?

I need to scan loads of photographs onto my macbook, but need recommendation for brand/type of scanner to puchase that works well with apple

Be sure to scan any black and white photos as color and not Grayscale. iPhoto doesn't play well with the grayscale profile.
I've used Canon scanners for some time. There are several good brands that you can choose from so check their specifications for those that will meet your technical requirements and price range.

I updated my iPad software to IOS 5, and now it doesn't see my WiFi. The IP addresses seem to be different on my "Sanders Family" network on my iPad than what shows up on my desktop

Help. I just updated my iPhone and iPad software to IOS 5. Now my iPad isn't connecting to my WiFi. It "sees" it, and the network name even shows up under WiFi, but it's like it just keeps grinding and grinding. Sometimes it will let me click on the network and see the IP address. When I can see it, the address on my iPad is different from the one showing up on my desktop, but I can't figure out how to change it on my iPad. Any suggestions to get me hooked back into my wireless network?

If the problem persists after you reboot as suggested by Ralph:
Trouble connecting usually means interference, or another WiFi on the same channel.
If you have any cordless phones, keyboards, or cameras, check what frequency they use.
From a MAC or Windows machine you can see what channel each of the available networks are using. Make sure your network is on a channel nobody else nearby is also using.

I am scanning all of our old photographs. What is the best way to save them

I'm assuming that your old photographs are valuable to you and you don't want to lose them. If this is the case I would plan on some kind of redundant backup scheme. Har drives fail. Recordable DVDs become unreadable. Any method could fail. If you plan to access them frequently I would definitely have them on a hard drive. In addition I might put them on some other media. Three separate copies stored in three different locations and not in the same residence is the best way to make sure the photo files are preserved should something happen in one of the locations.

On a morning woke up and inbox empty of old mails - 100s. Can scan and find some but no idea what happened. First time.

I can send and receive email but on a morning inbox was empty except for items received that night. I can search and find old emails but inbox virtually empty. Never happened before and i certainly did not knowing do anything. Hope someone can help. Thank you

I have tried holding down the home and power button countless of times. It doesnt respond at all. Plug my phone to a charger and hold down the power button and my phone switched on. But it said Activation Required and said connect to Itunes. As e screen remains on the connect to Itunes screen, I disconnect the charger from my phone and my phone went dead instantly. My battery is full btw. Tried connecting to Itunes through my Macbook Pro but iTunes doesnt detect my device and the apple logo flashes for about a few seconds on my phone and then disappear and then came back on again. My Iphone has been connected to my laptop for about 30 mins and the apple logo has been coming on and off for 30 minutes now and Itunes has not detect my device yet.

Need Help Scanning & Elements 10

I am scanning family photos on Epson 750 Pro Scanner, bring the images into PhotoShop Elements 10. I usually scan two 4'x6" photos, ask Elenets to divide the scanned images, and then edit and renmae each of the images. Sometimes, this works, and other times, I get no image saved, except for the scanned image containing two images. Can someone tell me why the difference?

Family Sharing - Your Family Is Managed By Alternate Apple ID

All,
I asked this in the iCloud Forum, but, now I think my problem needs to be discussed here based on on what I have discovered......
I just got a new iPhone 6 Plus. I set it up as new rather than restore from backup of my old iPhone. I signed into my own iCloud account for iTunes/Apps, Family Sharing and etc. I am a parent/guardian and NOT the organizer.
The issue is when I go to the App Store>Purchased on the 6 Plus, I notice the following message:
"This iTunes account is setup to use Family Sharing with a different iCloud account than 'Organizer's Primary Apple ID'. Learn More"
I do see my other family members and their purchases. I am also able to download their purchases as well. So Family Sharing on the App Store appears to be functioning properly with the exception of the message. iTunes and iBooks do not show the message.
My old iPhone and my iPad also do not display this message when I go to the App Store.
This is what I have noticed on my iPhone when I go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: My ID > View Apple ID > Family Sharing
"You are part of a Family. The payment method for your Family is managed by 'Organizer's ALTERNATE Apple ID'......."
The organizer has only signed into iTunes, iCloud and set up Family Sharing using the Primary Apple ID, so I do not understand why the Alternate Apple ID appears to be used in the background to manage our Family. I think this is what is causing the above error message.
Any ideas deals on how to fix?
