AIA 11g Erros with AIAB2BErrorHandlerInterface (1.0)

We have installed AIA 11g. After the installation, some of the composites on EM are showing as not available or errored out .. e.g. On em, when we click on AIAB2BErrorHandlerInterface (1.0), it says "The composite AIAB2BErrorHandlerInterface (1.0) is not available. This could happen because either the composite has been undeployed or soa-infra has not yet loaded this composite. Unable to register service." .. We tried to redploy, but its erroring out again .. We have the same issue with other installed AIA componsites, i.e., AIAB2BInterface, ReloadProcess, AIASyncErrorHandlingBPELProcess ... the installation log has the following ..

we edit the setDomainEnv and setSOADomainEnv and change USER_MEM_ARGS to the following entry:

We run AIA 11g on a small Linux system with 5,6 GB RAM and one with 12 GB RAM. We have no problems with composites or out of memory exception.

Could you check the managed server logs on the server you are deploying to? I prefer the soa_server1.out file if its available. Hopefully there is something more telling on that side.
My gut feeling is that there is a schema required by the ProcessFulfillmentOrderBillingBRMCommsAddSubProcess process has not been deployed (which sometimes happens with this PIP in particular).

Ebi:getConvertedDateWithTZ XPATH function in AIA 11g?

There was an XPATH function available with PIP module to convert the datetime into a particular format.
xmlns:ebi="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/oracle.apps.ebi.core.xpath.EBIXPathFunctions" ebi:getConvertedDateWithTZ .
Can anybody point me which jar contains the 'oracle.apps.ebi.core.xpath.EBIXPathFunctions' class? Is this jar available with AIA 11g?

I understand your reply and we are already doing that.
the osb installation is common across the domains .but i need these custom xpath function reflected only for my domain.
so my query is "whether we can set/overwrite any -D property at server startup or any server/domain level settings rather than updating the installation path?"
I am just trying to understand whether we can avoid conflicts with multiple domains sharing the same installation.

For the successful installation of AIA 11g u need to apply the DSTv13 patch 9146268 on database to avoid the 'Time zone not found' issue while installing AIA 11g.

AIA Demo for AIA 11g

Is there a documentation that gives some details on how to perform AIA Demo installation on AIA 11g which is runing on a WLS 10.3.3 cluster ?
I am trying to use GettingStarted_E17359-01.pdf available as a part Article ID 1087345.1, but that is of not of much help. I need to know if it works fine and how to test a SOA setup with OSB and AIA in it.

You can find all details on the installation of the AIA Demo in the Install Guide (V20870-01). Essentially you only run a single script for deploying the entire demo including DB schema, middleware configuration, J2EE apps, and SOA composites. Read the install guide carefully, in particular make sure to assign enough heap space (2GB) to your managed server ahead of demo deployment.
Note that the AIA Demo 11gR1 does not leverage OSB at this point. But you can certainly use the demo as a starting point and add OSB services to the flow. E.g. a natural use case for OSB would be to virtualize application endpoints. So you could build a wrapper service for demo application services like the StoreFront service (which is an ADF based web service) and refer to this new wrapper in the AIA code. This is just one example, I am sure you can find many other places where OSB would fit into the picture.
Another note: you should go for SOA 11.1.1.3 if you intend to use OSB as this release provides the direct binding between SOA and OSB. In the case of running AIA 11g on SOA 11.1.1.3, don't miss to apply patch 9717829.

OSR is no more in use in AIA 11g.
AIA Foundation pack comes up with two new features for registering the services & AIA components.
1. Project Lifecycle Workbench(PLW)
2. Oracle Enterprise Repository.(OER)
AIA leverages harvesting the services in the above mentioned utilities. Harvesting the services in PLW & OER are done through ant scripts which comes along with Foundation pack.

AIA heavily leverages SOA to achieve application integration. As such, we introduce large volume of SOA assets, including various types of services (of different architectural significance, such as EBS, EBF, ABCS, and etc.), objects, and etc. The visibility to these assets are achieved via SOA Repository. Here I'd like to make a specific differentiation between 'integration' and 'visibility'. These are two different value propositions / problem spaces achieved via two distinct oracle product lines.
Out of box, AIA have pre-built integration with Oracle's SOA Repository (OER). It includes
(1) solution pack: bundle of all pre-built AIA services and objects .For the 11gR1 AIA release (FP-only release), it contains the entire Enterprise Object Library definition
(2) AIA extended harvester: allow users to harvest their custom-built, AIA-compliant SOA composites and etc.
(3) Documented best-practices: while users may execute AIA harvester any time one chooses to, there are a number of key lifecycle milestones for which the harvesting shall be run and be conducive to the overall SOA development lifecycle. The AIA Dev. Guide outlines that. Further, AIA development topology and its uses of OER, and etc.
While AIA provides contents and pre-built integration, the SOA visibility and ensuing benefits are among the main value propositions OER offers. To revamp these benefits, users are to license OER.
On a different note, content publishing to OSR is achieved via OER in the 11g release.

The Connector Server is installed on the AD instance, and the key has been set, and used appropriately in the Active Directory Connector Server IT Resource in OIM.

OBIEE 11G: Issue with Agent

Hello All,
I am trying to make agent work in OBIEE 11G together with Active Directory settings but the agent are failling for some users. Some users are not able to send the ibots:
We get the following message with Agent Failed:
Agent ID: XXXXXXX
No devices for user: XXXX
Agent ID: XXXXXXXX
No Content for user: XXXX
Kindly note that I have already checked the My Account of these users and the email address is well present there.
Can anyone help us investigate on this issue.

as forms and reports builder 6/6i support to 10 g.
so you have to shoft your forms and report on developer suit 10g or heigher.

11g problem with Win7 starter

Taking a class and the book came with Oracle 11g DVD. Tried to load it onto my laptop and get an error when checking the operating system. The error is something like "expecting 5.0, 5.1, or 6.0 received 6.1" which I am assuming refers to Win7 vs vista/xp etc... Is there a way I can tell from the DVD 11g version # (afraid I don't have it in front of me now) which version of 11g came with the book and which version file(s) I should download from Oracle to run with Win7 starter?

Ok, I get that its certified for Pro and Ultimate (which I don't think I can run on my netbook I use for homework), but I think I veered the conversation away from my original point. The version of Oracle 11g which came with my textbook says it will run on win2k, winXP, and Vista but craps out when trying to load onto Win7. The version of Oracle (to best of my recollection, as I don't have the disc in front of me is 11.0.1.something).
I guess my big question is would this version load on Win7 pro or do I need a newer version of Oracle that will load onto Win7? If I do need a new version in order to load on Win7, how can I tell which flavor of Oracle I have on my DVD - the free version, the next one up with a student license???
Worst case scenario, I load it onto my desktop that is still running XP, but I would like to be able to take it with me on the netbook to do my homework whenever I find time.

Problem elaboration is as follows
We currently have an application which requires oracle 10g(10.2.0.3) client to connect to database from user desktops. As
part of new application development the oracle 11g clients need to be installed on all the user deskotps.
The complete application software along with oracle client 11g has to be roled out on these desktop as part of
implementaion of new application besides the existing application(The application software is packaged along with oracle
10g client).
We would like to understand if there is any software provided by oracle using which we can switch between different oracle
versions while accessing the respective applications simultaneously. Also are there any known bugs/issues in running
oracle 10g client and oracle 11g client together on the same user desktops with different oracle homes?

I hope you are using AIA 2.0/2.0.1 for Comms and trying to integrate BRM with Siebel.
1. To check BRM & Siebel integration using AIA. (BRM is the Product master gets synched with Siebel.)
a) Create a new Product in BRM pricing center(Provide product name, Service type)
b) Select Event(Single time purchase event)
c) Provide rating for the product
d) Commit after product creation(Check in BPEL process, whether all the instances are went through successfully)
e) Check Siebel Catalog, whether product got synched from BRM
2. To check whether BRM Adapter connected to BRM,
a) Login into Oracle Application server
b) Select OC4J instance, where your AIA is running
c) Select Applications
d) In view drop down select "StandAlone Resource Adapters"
e) Check the status (green or red) in the installed BRM adapter
If you haven't deployed BRM Adapter read the installation guide to deploy it.
