AIA 3.0/11g installation on SOA 10g(10.1.3.4) - OAS

Is it possible to install AIA 3.0/11g in the SOA 10g (10.1.3.4) edition, if yes please point me towards any installation guides....
I understand 11g releases are more oriented towards weblogic, so i dont find the installation guides of 11g very useful.
To be more precise, I tried installing AIA 11g, onto a SOA server(10.1.3.4),the problem was in the third step where "SOA Server Details" are given, I'm not able to connect to my SOA server.
These r d values i gave
Admin Host Name:mildh0155
Admin Port:6003
Domain Name:xxx(i thot this as the instance name,if im wrong pls correct as to which name has to be entered here incase of the OAS)
Admin User:0c4jadmin
Admin Password:xxxxxxx
The "Managed Server" waits for a minute and then becomes "Cannot connect to Server"
Pls help...Thanks in advance

Hi Venkatesh,
You can't install AIA 3.0 on SOA Suite 10g since AIA 3.0 leverages on same SCA based components which can't be deployed on SOA Suite 10g.The domain name that is expected while installing AIA 3.0 is weblogic server domain name which doesn't have an equivalent in Oracle Application server and the port is the weblogic admin server port not opmn request port.
Hope this addresses your query.

  • How to Integrate Oracle Jdeveloper11g with the Oracle Soa 10g

    Hi All
Does any one have idea how to Use Oracle Jdeveloper 11g with Oracle Soa 10g as Application/Integration Server?
My Requirement is need to create/access the business rules with the Oracle Jdev 11g using Oracle SOA Suite10g. We don't want to migrate our SOASuite from 10g to 11g, Just migrating Jdev from 10g to 11g
    Thanks

    Hi James
Thanks for your quick reply. In addition to my previous question. Can you please tell me how to deploy web applications in Oracle Jdev 11g to stand alone application server?
In Eariler Version i.e Jdev 10g & SOA Suite 10g, What we used to do is, Start up the SOA Suite, Create the Application Server and Integration Server Connections in the Jdev and simply deploy WAR or EAR to the Oracle Application Server.
What I observed in Jdev11g, It has BEA Weblogic embaded into this. Is there any way in Jdev 11g something like in Jdev10g? Or Do we need to wait till SOA Suite 11g released into the market?
    Thanks

    Hi All,
I am already having SOA SUITE 10g on my machine in C: drive.
    i.e Oracle Database:10.2,Jdev:10.1.3.4 and SOA Suite 10.1.3.3
I also want to install 11g in my machine say in E: Drive .Could anybody please tell me if I can install oracle DB 11g,soa suite 11g and jdev 11 in another drive ie E: without affecting my 10g environment?
Also please suggest the best version I can choose for 11g installation and the installation guidelines link.

The Quick Install Guide mentioned in this post will help you

  • Oracle SOA 10G Vs 11G

    Hi',
We have a BPEL process running in SOA 10G, This picks up data from DB, as the payload is huge we pick 50 records in 1 shot.
Now we are moving to SOA 11G, we presume that we should be able to pick up a bigger payload in SOA 11G.
Can someone please advice me in 11G how much big or times payload can we pick.
    Thanks
    Yatan

    Hi Yatan,
I've successfully tested once fetching the data from the table and wrote a file of the order of 49 MB. As this will be also dependent on the environment configuration, I'd suggest to try once and test by yourself.

  • Not able to acess SOA consoles after SOA 10G installation on Linux machine

    Hi,
We have done SOA 10G installation on VM ware machine which was configured on a windows box. After installation we are able to access the BPEL/ESB/EM consoles directly from the server where the installation is done but not able to access the same from our local machine.
    Please advice.
    Thanks & Regards,

How do you try to access console? what url do you use?
From what components you want to check the ports asigned? Only Oc4j's, webcache, http_server and oid should show something here.
Did you check the file $OH/install/portlist.ini and opmn.xml, rmi.xml?
    Regards.

  • SOA 10g JMS adapter does not pick up large messages in Oracle AQ

I am using SOA 10g 10.1.3.4 MLR #9. When I enqueue a large JMS message ( of type SYS.AQ$_JMS_TEXT_MESSAGE ) into the AQ from SOA 11g it goes into the TEXT_LOB portion of the USER_DATA column in AQ. In addition to this GROUPID and GROUPSEQ do not seem to get set. When that happens, my JMS adapterfrom SOA 10g does not seem to dequeue the message. But if I enqueue the same message using sql and set the GROUPID and GROUPSEQ my JMS adapter from 10g picks up the clob message.
How do we make the 10g adapter always pick up the large message in TEXT_LOB? I don't have this problem when the message is small because it goes into TEXT_VC field instead of TEXT_LOB field.

We are having this problem and have not figured it out yet. We need help. An oracle SR is opened but no progress from Oracle yet. I need to get some traction on this so anyone's help is appreciated. Our suspicion is that the AQ client in the wls 10.3.1 is incorrectly choosing to put the xml payload in TEXT_LOB even though the character size is less than 4000.
Here is a summary of our observations....
Today we did some testing with our old 6.3.1 OSM environment and our new 7.0.2 environment. We tested each against our QA1 environment and then our QA2 environment. Scenrio 1 is our problem. Scenario 2,3,and 4 all behave similar to each other. Why does Scenario 1 behave differently. It is causing AIA a problem when it dequeues the message.
    Scenario 1:
We pointed our 7.0.2 OSM/Weblogic 10.3.1/Out of the Box AQ (which is part of our QA1 environment) to send messages to the AIA AQ table in our QA1 environment. The AIA database uses ALT32UTF8 character set. We don't know what character set the 7.0.2 OSM/Weblogic/AQ uses. Wehn we sent messages to the AIA QA1 table we saw that everything under TEXT_LEN 1000 went to TEXT_VC, Over 1000 went to TEXT_LOB. This is causes AIA to throw an exception if the message is over 1000 when it dequeus the message, because it thinks it shoudl look in the TEXT_VC which is null for AIA.
    Scenario 2:
We pointed our 7.0.2 OSM/Weblogic 10.3.1/Out of the box AQ (which is part of our QA1 environment) to send messages to the AIA AQ table in our QA2 enviornment. The AIA database uses UTF8 character set. We don't know what character set the 7.0.2 OSM/Weblogic/AQ uses. When we sent messages to the AIA QA2 AQ table we saw that everything under TEXT_LEN 4000 went to TEXT_VC. Over 4000 went to TEXT_LOB. This is fine for us.
    Scenario 3:
We pointed our 6.3.1 OSM/Weblogic 9.2.1/Custom AQ Solution (which is part of our QA2 environment) to send messages to the AIA AQ table in our QA2 environment. The AIA database uses UTF8 character set. We don't know what character set the 6.3.1 OSM/Weblogic/AQ uses. When we sent messages to the AIA QA2 AQ table we saw that everything under TEXT_LEN 4000 went to TEXT_VC. Over 4000 went to TEXT_LOB. This is fine for us.
    Scenario 4:
We pointed our 6.3.1 OSM/Weblogic 9.2.1/Custom AQ Solution (which is part of our DEVINT1 environment) to send messages to the AIA AQ table in our QA1 enviornment. The AIA database uses ALT32UTF8 character set. We don't know what character set the 6.3.1 OSM/Weblogic/AQ uses. When we sent messages to the AIA QA1 AQ table we saw that everything under TEXT_LEN 4000 went to TEXT_VC. Over 4000 went to TEXT_LOB. This is fine for us.

  • XML Parser Exception in Install of AIA 11.1.1.5 on SOA 11.1.1.5

I am attempting to install AIA Foundation Pack on a SOA domain and continually encounter an XML parsing exception error as the installer is attempting to install WSM security policies. Here are the key details:
    AIA version = 11.1.1.5
    SOA Suite = 11.1.1.5
    WebLogic = 10.3.5
Operating System = Fedora14 (a home lab machine but I don't think this is an OS issue)
The error is encountered about 17 minutes into the lengthy process. Just before the error appears in the installation log, the following message appears indicating roughly what step is being performed:
    [zip] Building zip: /opt/oraclemw/aia11115/aia_instances/dev1/tmp/aia_security_policies.zip
    The core error messages are:
[exec] SEVERE: WSM-01605 XML parser exception
    [exec] oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException: Expected 'EOF'.
    [exec] at oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLError.flushErrors1(XMLError.java:323)
The python modules being executed by the WLST scripting tool at the time of the failure are:
[exec] Problem invoking WLST - Traceback (innermost last):
    [exec] File "/opt/oraclemw/aia11115/Infrastructure/Install/AID/lib/py/importpolicy.py", line 29, in ?
[exec] File "/opt/oraclemw/oracle_common/common/wlst/wsmManage.py", line 719, in importRepository
[exec] File "/opt/oraclemw/oracle_common/common/wlst/lib/ora_util.py", line 51, in raiseScriptingException
    [exec] OracleScriptingException: None
Finally, the outer XML files being used as input for the deployer that seems to be running at the time are:
    /opt/oraclemw/aia11115/Infrastructure/Install/AID/AIAExecuteDriver.xml
with references to lines 221 and 64.
The problem occurs whether I try to use Java JDK 16.0.20 or JRockit R28.2.0 as the JRE when running the AIA installer. (The WebLogic domain is configured to use JRockit).
Any suggestions? Is there a library conflict being picked up between different releases of XercesImpl? I would hope there isn't actually a bad XML file in the AIA artifacts or WSM (Web Service Management) policies being deployed.

    HI
How this issue was resolved? Please explain in detail. I am facing the same issue.

  • How to install SOA 10g on Windows 7 64-bit platform?

    Hi Friends
How to install SOA 10g on Windows 7 64-bit platform ?
I've downloaded the 64-bit version downloadable from OTN and able to run the irca.bat on DB 10.2.0.3 however the SOA Installer fails at BPEL Config Assistant step with errors :
    deploy-applications:
Deploying Oracle BPEL Process Manager ...

This is typically the result of an invalid deployer URI format being supplied, the target server not being in a started state or incorrect authentication details being supplied.
More information is available by enabling logging -- please see the Oracle Containers for J2EE Configuration and Administration Guide for details.

    Hi,
We know now why SOA Installer fails...
Now we need to know why you can not start OC4J properly. What do you see in the log files?

    Hi,
    Here is the workarround.
Please go the the below mentioned link and download the zip files.
http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/156082.xml and download the Oracle BPM Studio 11g and Oracle SOA Composite Editor
Now go to your help -> Check for update -> Click on Install from local file and provide the path of the zip file that you downloaded in the previous step.

  • I want my file adapter to poll multiple locations in soa 10g

    Hi All
I had a requirement that "I want my file adapter to poll multiple locations in soa 10g".I came to know that in soa 11g it is possible.
I want this to be done in soa 10g.
    plz help me.
    thanks,
    krishna

You can have pick activity and have separate ftp adapter for each folder, but you will be using the same jndi in all pick activity.
In that way you can have multiple ftp adapter but uses the same jndi by increasing the performance.
User will be configured to a home location, example as below.
say a ftp user "adminuser" is configured to a default folder c:/ftp_files
You can create multiple folders under the same folder like below.
    c:/ftp_files/location_a
    location_b
    location_c
    location_d
For each location have a separate ftp adatper, but all of them uses the same jndi while defining the path you have to change according to the above folder.
Let me know how this goes.

  • ChangePerm.sh file does not exist in Oracle 11g installation

    Hi All,
I have done successful Oracle 11g installation. After installation I noticed that Oracle 11g/installation does not have changePerm.sh file. Did anyone of you seen that?
Without executing changeperm.sh file, the binary files have 751 permission level. ChangePerm.sh script make change in file permission to 755.
Oracle support is not answering me why there was no changePerm.sh file under Oracle_home/install directory.
    Thoughts/suggestions..
    Thank you
    Suresh

I'm not finding this to be the case reliably. I have both a 10G and an 11G install on one particular machine and the 11G installer initially creates the directories with a 755 permission, then right before the prompt to run root.sh, and at the same time it locks down any 10G home it finds (someone please explain that!) it locks down the 11G home too.
In true Murphy tradition, this hasn't happened on any of my testing machines, just my production.
Whatever silly contrived mechanism Oracle wrote to re-lock 10G when installing 11G is also locking down my 11G.

  • Question on IDM11g installer and OID 10g DAS self service tool

    Hi,
I have setup the Oracle IDM 11g on windows box(XP). I have explored the same and found that, IDM11g has lot of differences when compared to IDM10g. One of the change that I have observed is the OID DAS Self service tool(Web GUI based).
In OID 10g, inorder to create/manage users/groups, we could use either command-line tool or OID DAS Self Service tool. But OID DAS Self Service tool is not part of the IDM 11g installation. As per the IDM 11g documentation we can still use either command line tool or OID DAS Self Service tool of OID 10g to create/manage users/groups. Does it mean, do we need maintain both IDM 11g and 10g setups, to get the 10g OID DAS tool to work with OID 11g? Or Can we set up IDM 11g and just install OID 10g DAS Self service tool?
IDM10g installer is completely build with 10g database,OID,DAS tool,..components as one bundle. So I think its a over burden to maintain both 11g and 10g setups, to get the 10g DAS tool to work with OID 11g.
Can someone throw somelight to resolve this?
Thanks in adavnce for any help.

  • AIA FP 2.4 Installation Error

    Hi,
When I installed AIA FP 2.4 on my SOA Suite 10.1.3.3 (on Windows XP Pro - Desktop) and entered the DBA user, SYSDBA, it says it cannot connect to the DB. I login outside of the install process using SYSDBA and I can connect. I have tried this many times but I was not successful. FYI, I was using Data Base 10g Express Edition when I install SOA Suite with advance feature. Can somebody tell me what am I missing here?

As far as I know, there isn't any MDS in SOA 10g. This concept was introduced in 11g version.
