AIA comms O2C PIP 11.2:  Is creation of subscription group  supported ?

HI AIA gurus
I am confused from documentation and source code of AIA comms O2C PIP 11.2. From documentation, it seems like Creation of Service group along with creation of services during order fulfillment. But, in the transformations for making input flistfor opcodes PCM_OP_CUST_MODIFY_CUSTOMER or PCM_OP_PURCHASE_SUBSCRIPTION_DEAL in composite      ProcessFulfillmentOrderBillingBRMCommsAddSubProces do not have Field SUBSCRIPTION_OBJ field which indicates the Subscription parent of all services.
So, it is not clear if subscription group is supported in AIA comms O2C PIP 11.2. From research i found that AIA 2.0.1 did not support subscription groups. So, i am not sure if 11.2 or 11.3 PIPS support this feature.
Please help me to know if subscription group is supported or not. If supported, please help with Product configurations we need to do in Siebel to test subscription group creation.
Regards
Arun

Hi,
No, te AIAConfigurationProperties originally did not contain any section (nor Module Config or Service Config) describing AIA Session Pool Manager. how is it that the 11.2 documentation does not mention this composite as part of the "Verify Deployment" sections for both Comms AABC and O2C PIPs?
As a workaround we've currently took the composite project from $AIA_HOME/utilities/SessionPoolManager/V1/AIASessionPoolManager......, deployed it and also changed the AIAConfigurationProperties files by adding the Module config section for SessionPoolManager. That seemed to work after running the ant script for the update of the xml file and restarted the managed server.
Still curious as to why it was not deployed as part of the install.

I can't seem to get my application to work with the 10.2 client. I've heard that OO4O is not supported past 10.2 x86. First question is can someone clarify this - should I be able to use OO4O from Oracle version 10.2 on a Windows 7 x64 box? If so I need to know the specifics. My development machine is Windows XP and 10.2 works there but it's an x86 box.
    >
First you should consider marking this question ANSWERED and reposting it in the Oracle forum for OO4O and Wizards.
    OO4O and Wizards [ARCHIVE]
If you know anything at all about Oracle your knowledge should include the fact that if it isn't on the Official release notes it isn't supported.
The last release of OO4O (10.1.0.5.2) was March 2005 and these are the release notes
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/windows/downloads/relnotes-435165.html

Oracle Objects for OLE (OO4O) Release Notes
    Release 10.1.0.5.2
    March 2005
    System Requirements
Operating System: Windows NT 4.0 SP6a, Windows 2000 SP1, Windows XP, Windows 2003.
32-bit application capable of OLE scripting (e.g. Visual Basic, Excel, etc.) or supported C++ compiler (Microsoft Visual C++).
Access to an Oracle8i, Oracle9i or Oracle10g database through a local connection or a network using the Net client. Oracle Net will need to be installed when accessing the Oracle database through a network.
    Oracle 10.1.0.2.0 client.
    >
So there are two things working against you: no mention of Windows 7 (it didn't exist) and the client mentioned is 10.1.0.2.0 not 10.2.xxx
So even if you think it is working chances are it isn't working properly.
    >
Second question - what are my workarounds? I assume there is another Oracle Object I can use for basic database communications. What is that object, and what types of changes am I going to have to make to my code in order to use it?
    >
Who knows? Without knowing what functionality you are using and relying on there isn't any way to know what workarounds might be available or what changes you will need to make.

  • O2C PIP Installation

As I know, O2C PIP get installed by default along with AIA FP 11g. We have installed AIA FP 11g, but could not find any O2C PIP related services in AIA Console.
Can you please say, what goes wrong in AIA FP 11g installation and how can we get O2C PIP deployed?
    Thanks In Advance!
    priyadarshi

The O2C PIP involves Oracle EBS. e.g. "Siebel CRM Integration Pack for Oracle Order Management: Order to Cash 3.1 - EBS 11.5.10 patch for Linux x86".
But to best of my knowledge COMM O2C PIP involves Siebel, BRM & OSM. Find the link below
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E2401001/doc.111/e22651/overview.htm_
So I am confused to see Order to Cash with EBS. It would be great if you can specify me the name with part number for Oracle Communications Order to Cash for Siebel CRM, Oracle OSM, and Oracle BRM
    Thanks

  • O2C PIP - Multiple Siebel Application

My client implemented O2C with Siebel as front and application and OSM for provisioning and fulfillment. Now as the part of business, it needs have another Siebel instance with same AIA & OSM application.
So from AIA O2C PIP prospective, it should able to receive order requests from multiple Siebel Instances and process it and update response back to corresponding Siebel Instance from which the request comes from.
For this requirement, can I get any pointer, material how this can be implemented using O2C PIP?
Typically how requests are to differentiated while processing? How the cross references are to maintained? How to configure in Siebel Provider ABCS, so that it will call appropriate Siebel instance based on its request?
    Thanks In Advance
    priya

    Hi Tusar,
As rightly said by EvtLogLvl, the Siebel Enterprise Server can point to only one DB source. If you wish to retrieve data from another database you can try to use Virtual Business Components in conjunction with Web Services to retrieve the necessary data.
If you are trying it only on your dedicated system then I think it is possible to have different DB sources configured there (not sure how though).

  • AIA 3.X PIP for communications

    Hi,
My current understanding is that EBS delivered as part of AIA communication PIPs are intended to be the Business services reused across enterprise. Is this understanding correct?
In the AIA 2.0.1 or 2.5 versions, the EBS were implemented using Oracle ESB. In the 11g version of the PIP the EBS is implemented on Oracle Mediator previously called as Oracle ESB.
As per Oracle strategy, Oracle Service Bus should be used as enterprise wide ESB and Mediator to be used between SOA Suite components. Given the PIPs on 11g is exposing the EBS on Mediator, can they be still called as Enterprise wide reusable services? If not should we define them again in OSB to be reused by Non-Oracle applications?
    Thanks.

We are getting this exact error too, and are installing AIA 3.1 PIP on AIX 6.1 too.
Did you ever get this issue resolved?

  • Error during Creation of Product Group

    Hi experts
I am getting below error during creation of Product Group MC84,
    how to solve this
The field  is defined as a required field; it does not contain an entry
    Message no. MG144
    Procedure
    Transfer a suitable value.
If the field is the material group or unit of weight, and the field is not ready for input, check whether the material is locked. If it is locked, you cannot extend the Purchasing view or the Sales view. If either of these views needs to be extended, the material must first be unlocked. This can be done only by a user with special authorization. Contact your system administrator.
    Note
For information on locking and unlocking material master records, see the SAP library documentation Material Master (LO-MD-MM) ->Locking Material Master Records.

  • Creation of Authorization group

    Hello All,
I have a requirement from FI consultant for creation of new authorization group. This auth. group we want to use in FI objects like F_BKPF_BEK. so that for few end users they should not change any vendor data in FK02.
I have gone through several posts, but not able to get / understand clear steps for creation of auth group and assignment.
One of the post i found is below:
    [How to create Authorization group;
i tried to do few steps but not in right direction. Request you some one please suggest me the steps for cration.
    Rgds,
    Durga.

    Julius,
Thanks for the update. As suggested by you i have inserted one entry of auth group in TBRG table against FI object with SE16.
Now how do we maintain the view of V_TBRG. Is it from SE11?, if yes then i should do this step from ABAP login.
But what i heard is, this activity is purely involved by Basis people.
    Please suggest.
    Rgds,
    Durga.

  • O2C PIP with Microsoft SQL Server Based Siebel server

    Hi,
We are trying to install AIA 2.2 with PIP for Order to Cash cycle. This integrates Siebel with Oracle for O2C cycle. We have done installation till AIA foundation pack successfully. Now when I looked at PIP installation guide it asks for Siebel database details. My Siebel database is MS SQL Server 2000. But installation guide only mentions installation through Oracle DB. Generally if there is any MS SQL server 2000 connection happening to Oracle, it would be through ODBC – JDBC Bridge. However I do not see any details of that sort in the installation guide.
Have you guys tried this kind of installation? If not then, can you please help me by raising this to internal community in Oracle?
    Best Regards,
    Dhaval Khamar

    Hi there,
I use this configuration for connecting SQL Server:
    In data server object
    * Definition: the must important fields are the username and password
    * JDBC:
    - JDBC Driver: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
    - JDBC URL: jdbc:sqlserver:// *<SERVER IP or NAME>* : <*PORT* (optional, if not defined it will take the default)>
Then you need to create a physical schema where you're going to define the SQL Server database name and the owner or user
    * Definition:
    - Database(catalog): name of the SQL Server database
    - Owner (schema): the name of the owner, for example dbo
    - Database(work schema): again the name of the SQL Server database; not required
    - Owner(work schema): not required
On local object mask I also modify this field to add the SQL Server user, for example *%CATALOG.dbo.%OBJECT*
On remote object mask I leave the same (*%DSERVER.%CATALOG.%SCHEMA.%OBJECT*)
Hope this was useful for you
    Cheers,

  • To Synchronize service bundle products in AIA COMM 2.0.1

    Hi,
I have a question regarding service bundle products. We want to bring service bundle product from Oracle BRM to Siebel. When I check the implementation notes, it says that Service bundle product is not synchronized.
In PIP COMM 2.4, is there any change? Can we synchronize the bundle products too? If it is yes, please let me know how to do that.
    Thanks for your help,
    Kathir

    Hi Kathir,
Correct we only synchronize products and discounts from BRM to Siebel via AIA. We have not changed this implementation in 2.4 also. Service bundles and promotions are defined in Siebel as part of data enrichment.

    Navin
