AIA PIP for CRM On-demans for R12

Folks,
One of our client is looking for AIA PIP for CRM On demand interface along with R12.
We have never done this before, however, our understanding at the high-level is that it would require R12, FP, SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus. Can someone point us right direction on this?
1)What are the required components for this installs?
2)Any documentations or links would be good
Cheers,
Thiru

Can someone from this forum help us?

  • Best Practise for CRM

    Hi,
I have installed BP for CRM and doing config for SAP CRM Standalone Integration.
I have selected all scenarios in the scope including interactive reporting.
Our main focus is interactive reporting which needs another client in same CRM system.
I have two clients - 300 for CRM and 200 for Reporting.
The Quick guide tells as follows
Be aware that you need to define a System Data Container even if you implement
a CRM Standalone solution (containing an entry for target system CRM and, if
necessary, a CRM Reporting client REP).
"In the generic personalization" step I have option to define only one System Data Container - Z_ALL_H001_J01_<xxx>
Which System Data Container I should give- corresponding to CRM client or reporting client?
    Thanks & Regards
    Ashraf

    on point 1 :
java can be on same stack as abap. actually on any project I worked, java was on same server as abap.
It realy does not matter where the java is installed. (the connection to abap goes trough "jco" which can point to  abap stack of your choice)
I'm not sure it should be an SAP JAVA server, there are some special settings like "trex" in java server administration(visual admin tool), it is used to find your isa catalog in trex system.
there's supose to be an xcm setting to avoid this trexsetting  but it has never worked for me
I dont think you can just install isa on other java servers because of this.
Then again.. i'm not a system admin. they might give more info on this subject to force an trex setting in a non sap java server.
    hope this helpes a bit.

  • WebGUI / GUI for HTML for CRM

    Hi @ all,
I recently start to work with sap and Ive no idea where to get the needed information. I hope somebody here can help me.
Does somebody know where I can get a well-explained documentation about webgui for crm?
Further Ive got questions and maybe somebody can answer them:
What exactly is the difference between WebGUI and PCUI?
Does a technical difference exists between WebGUI for CRM and WebGUI for other moduls (e.g. SCM, HR).
    thanks in advance

    Firat
Apart from the IC Web , we have  IC WinClient.
The Interaction Center (IC) WinClient is a SAP GUI-based agent desktop interface for interaction center agents that provides a framework for processing IC WinClient functions. It can be used for any business transactions via phone, e-mail, chat, paging, Web call back, or voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
Coming to the point, If we have an  [SAP ITS|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/4f/2e6a52c3cdc44d83169b181a9c62ba/frameset.htm]   installed, then we can access the Transactions via Web. ie the Web browser can communicate directly with the SAP system.
Try the below link and it would realy help to understand the various UIs available from SAP .
    [UI Technology from SAP|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/e7/c7af3fda5a3c17e10000000a114084/frameset.htm]
Also I hope this helped  you to understand UIs (depending upon the Business requirement either IC Web/Win, SAP GUI, WEB) available in CRM and in general SAP.
    Thanks

  • Does EHP1 for CRM 7.0 require ECC to be on a specific SP level?

    Dear All,
Is there any dependency on ECC i.e. do we need to be on a certain SP level in ECC.
Want to check if we can put EhP1 for CRM 7.0 for Marketing Component while keeping ECC backend at existing level i.e. without putting ECC on next level?
i.e. ECC can be at NW 7.0, SP 15, & IS-UT is at 6.00 SP 13 and we can put EhP1 for CRM 7.0? or do we need to bring ECC at par?
In ECC we are at NW 7.0, SP 15, & IS-UT is at 6.00 SP 13
In CRM we are at NW 7.01 SP 05,
CRMLOY (Loyalty Management), WEBCUIF and BBPCRM at CRM 7.0, SP 05 and CRMUIF at CRMUIF 600 SP 0
    Thanks

    Hi Michael,
even if the guides are very detailed in the procedure itself they don't show a dependency between components. I was now browsing and reading to roughly 600 pages of SAP documentation, Wikis, Upgrade guides, EHPI guides etc. and I'm still not clear. According to the guides it is necessary to set up SolMan using Landscape Verification to get the system details right and then use MOPZ.
As always when it comes to dependencies it's very confusing from a technical perspective to make a clear statement.
As a German (speaking) company we would have to do several things:
    - map the used "Business process" to SAP terminology
    - translate that terminology from SAP-German to SAP-English
    - use MOPZ to find out a dependency (or none)
And even then - for my understanding this is all way to complex and intransparent to just find out a "dependency". I will certainly not upgrade SolMan, install LV on Solman with some dozen notes to just find out, whether it may be necessary to upgrade to EHP5 or not. There has to be a different/documented way in finding that information, even if that means opening OSS calls and insisting someone to give a clear statement.
I don't consent setting up a tool and invest time (and hence money) to configure that tool to get information (note: we're not talking about the upgrade itself, just about preparation). The complexity and integration of the components is SAP made, not customer made, and therefore SAP has to give that information, not telling customers to mess with yet-another-complex tool (SolMan).
It shouldn't be too difficult to say that component SAP_CRM 702 needs an SAP_APPL 605 or not.
    Just my EUR 0.02.

Could you open the package which is above the scenario SYNCCOLLECTIONACTION.
If you open this package, it should contain a variable step (maybe several) which is named like your variable.
If you click on this step you should see in the General Tab a field Linked Object which can't be empty. Could you confirm it ?
At Right of this field you should see a Type ListBox. Try to find the variable step which contains as Type *"Refresh Variable"*, and then right click on this step and Execute this Step, it should execute a refresh on this variable.
After that try again to execute your scenario.

  • MRS - CRM Integration:  Resource Planning Node for CRM demands

    Hi all,
We have a multi backend scenario where MRS 800 add-ons (ECC and NW add-on) have been installed in ECC. Demands can come from the ECC PM/CS orders or from the CRM system as Service orders.
For PM/CS orders, from the work center of the activity or operation, the system determines the planning node and assigns the demand to that planning node. But we need help in identifying the Evaluation Path for determining the Resource Planning Node for demands coming from CRM. Currently we have to manually select the CRM Service Order to be able to view the demands in the MRS planning board.
The service organization structure has been created manually in CRM and is not available in ECC system. We are unable to identify which organization structure can be used as resource planning structure (in the Planning board which is in ECC) for CRM service orders.
Please provide your inputs on these two issues in the MRS-CRM scenario:
    1. What is the evaluation path for determining the Resource Planning Node for demands coming from CRM system?
    2. Which organization structure can be used as resource planning structure (in the Planning board which is in ECC) for CRM service orders?
I would appreciate any help in this regard.
    Thank you!

  • FAQ: User Interface Guidelines for CRM 2007 are now available

The CRM UI Concept Team has made the UI Guidelines for CRM Web Client User Interface (CRM 2007 UI) available to the BPX community:
This document provides an overview of the on-premise as well as the off-premise versions of the SAP CRM Web Client User Interface (UI). It contains the properties and principles of the SAP CRM Web Client UI that are already committed and available. For planned features, refer to the corresponding specification documents.
The information in the guidelines starts with general topics, followed by details. The sections are organized with high-level topics like Page Types and Navigation Schema first, followed by the consecutive sections describing which building blocks and elements of the UI populate the various pages. A section typically starts with one or more screenshots of a central UI element with a generic explanation. The subsequent sections explain the detailed aspects of each element.
We hope that you will find this information useful.

  • Portal Runtime Error when previewing iViews from BP for CRM 4.0 (60.2)

    Hello,
We have imported Business Package for CRM 4.0 (60.2) into EP 6.0 (Version: 6.0.19.0.0) according to the installation guide(InstGuide_EN_CRM40_502.pdf). And we have also set the permissions for the user with which we are logged in on the "Portal Content->Migrated Content->EP 5.0" folder with "Read" permission and checked the "End User" option.

Though i am still able to login with any of my old accounts, but not with the newly created ones. I thought this might have been because of the new roles that i assigned, but i see the above error message even when i haven't assigned any role. How do i get rid of this one now?
    Thanks and Regards,
