AIF automatic profile and extlinux?

I wanted to ask if the new change of selecting between grub and extlinux in AIF will also influence the automatic profile?
I haven't tested one of the tests builds yet, as I have no need for a reinstall currently, but I just wanted to know out of sheer curiousness, so that I know it the next time I need to reinstall, as I always use the automatic AIF profile...
To reiterate my question, then i'm reffering to that several AIF system files have been changed, including the interactive profile, but I couldn't see any changes being made to either the automatic profile or it's example scripts, which currently is setup for grub only...
Thanks in advance!

...Polite bump in the hope that dieter will notice it, as i'm not feeling confident about bothering him privatelly...
Btw, i'm just asking if there are any plans for adding extlinux support to the automatic profile(and update the example scripts), or if there isn't?
I'm not complaining at all, and don't mind grub legacy whatsoever, but just simply curious?
Thanks in advance,
Martin.

  • Why isn't there a simple "one click" way (or even an automatic way) to Back Up my thunderbird profile and emails to an external drive so it's always protected??

I've been using Thunderbird and before that, Netscape, since the dawn of time and it baffles me as to why no one has simplified the process of backing up and/or migrating your profile and emails.
Wouldn't it be so much easier to simply create a "one click" backup option that copies all the files necessary to restore or transfer your profile, and all my emails, to a new computer or newly reformatted hard drive? There should be a "backup/restore" tab in the options menu for this which would also allow you to set and customize automatic backups, as well as import and restore from and external drive.
The method you have of digging into the file tree and manually copying the profile folders is cumbersome and confusing at best. Just wondering if anyone has looked into this.
    Thanks

If you look at the first picture of my reply, note that Export is under Tools/ImportExportTools.
The add-on is one of many provided by the developer, and is probably one of the most widely used. It is frequently updated, perhaps more often that if it were part of the TB code.
Another option is to select Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Show Folder, exit TB, go up one level to show the Profiles folder, right-click a profile folder, Add to archive..., then right-click the archive file, Send To... and select your external drive (or just copy the profile folder without adding to an archive).
If you go up one more level, backing up the Thunderbird folder, you have a complete data set that, with a few minor changes, can be transferred to other computers, even ones with different operating systems

  • The Ultimate Guide to Resolving Profile and Device Manager Issues

The following article also applies to issues after re-setting the severs' hostname. It also applies to situations where re-setting the Code Signing Certifictateas described by Apple has not resolved the issue.
    Hello,
I have been plagued with Profile Manager and Device Manager issues since day one.
I would like to share my experience and to suggest a way how to resolve issues such as device cannot be enrolled or Code Signing Certificate not accepted.
I shall try to be as brief as possible, just giving an overview of the steps that resolved my issues. The individual steps have been described elsewhere in this forum. For users who have purchased commercial SSL certs the following may not apply.
In my view many of these issues are caused by missing or faulty certificates. So let us first touch on the very complex matter of certificates.
Certificates come in many flavours such as CA (Certificate Authority), Code Signing Certificate, S/MIME and Server Identification.
(Mountain?) Lion Server creates a so-called Intermediate CA certificate (IntermediateCA_hostname_1") and Server Identification Certificate ("hostname") when it installs first. This is critical for the  operation of many server functionalities, including Open Direcory. These certs together with the private/public keys can be found in your Keychain. Profile  and Device Manager may need a Code Signing Certificate.
The most straightforward way to resolve the Profile Manaher issues is in my view to reset the server created certicates.
The bad news is that this procedure involves quite a few steps and at least 2 hours of your precious time because it means creating a fresh Direcory Master.
I hope that I have not forgotten to mention an important step. Readers' comments and addenda are welcome.
I shall outline a sensible strategy:
    1. Clone your dysfunctional server to an external harddrive (SuperDuper does a reliable job)
    2. Start the server fom the clone and shut down ALL services.
    3. It may be sensible to set up a root user access.
    4. Back-up all user data such as addess book, calendar and other data that you *may* need to set up your server.
    5. Open Workgroup Manager and export all user and workgroup accounts to the drive that you using to re-build your server (it may cause problems if you back-up to an external drive).
    6. Just in case you may also want to back-up the Profile Manager database and erase user profiles:
In Terminal (this applies to Lion Server - paths may be diferent in Mountain Lion !)
    Backup: sudo pg_dump -U _postgres -c device_management > $HOME/device_management.sql
    Erase database:
    sudo /usr/share/devicemgr/backend/wipeDB.sh
    7. Note your Directory (diradmin) password for later if you want to re-use it.
    8. Open Open Server Admin and demote OD Master to Standalone Directory.
    9. In Terminal delete the old Certificate Authority
    sudo rm -R /var/root/Library/Application\ Support/Certificate\ Authority/
This step is crucial because else re-building you OD Master will fail.
    9. Go back to Server Admin and promote the Standalone Directory to OD Master. You may want to use the same hostname.
    10. When the OD Master is ready click on Overview and check that the LDAP and Keberos Realm reflect your server's hostname.
    11. Go back to Workgroup Manager and re-import users and groups.
NOTE: passwords are not being exported. I do not know how to salvage user passwords. (Maybe passwords can be recovered by re-mporting an OD archive - comments welcome! ).
    12. Go to Server App and reset passwords and (not to forget) user homefolder locations, in particular if you want to login from a network account!
If the home directory has not been defined you cannot login from a network account.
    13. You may now want to restore Profile Manager user profiles in Terminal. Issue the following commands:
    sudo serveradmin stop devicemgr
    sudo serveradmin start postgres
    sudo psql -U _postgres -d device_management -f $HOME/device_management.sql
    sudo serveradmin start devicemgr
    14. You can now switch back on your services, including Profile Manager.
In Profile Manager you may have to configure Device Management. This creates a correct Code Signng Certicate.
    15. Check the certificate settings in Server App -> Hadware -> Settings-> SSL Certificates.
    16. Check that Apple Push Notifications are set.(you easily check if they are working later)
    17. You may want to re-boot OS Server from the clone now.
    18. After re-boot open Server App and check that your server is running well.
    19. Delete all profiles in System Preferences -> Profiles.
    19. Login to Profile Manager. You should have all users and profiles back. In my experience devices have to be re-enrolled before profiles can be pushed and/or devices be enrolled. You may just as well delete the displayed devices now.
    20. Grab one of your (portable) Macs that you want to enrol and go to (yourhostname)/mydevices and install the server's trust profile. The profile's name  should read "Trust Profile for...) and underneath in green font "Verified".
    21. Re-enrol that device. At this stage keep your finger's crossed and take a deep breath.
    22. If the device has been successfully enrolled you may at last want to test if pushing profiles really works. Login to Profile Manager as admin, select the newly enrolled device. Check that Automatic Push is enabled (-> Profile -> General). Create a harmless management profile such as defining the dock's position on the target machine. (Do not forget to click SAVE at the end - this is easily missed here). If all is well Profile Manager will display an active task (sending) and the dock's position on the target will have changed in a few seconds if you are on a LAN (Note: If sending seems to take forever: check on the server machine and/or on your router that the proper ports are open and that incoming data is not intercepted by Little Snitch or similar software).
Note: if you intend to enrol an Apple iPhone you may first need to install the proper Apple Configuration software.
Now enjoy Profile and Device Manager !

    Twistan

    1. In Action profiles, logon to system and recheck correcion are available in action definition as well in condition configuration and the schedule condition is also maintained. but the display is not coming(i.e in the worklist this action is not getting displayed).
You can check the schedule condition for the action and match the status values...or try recreating the action with schedule condition again....for customer specific ....copy the standard aciton with ur zname and make a schedule condition and check the same.
2, In suppport team of incident when i give individual processor it throwing a warning that u r not the processor. but when i give org unit it is working perfectly. Could anyone guide on this.

  • Firefox V33.0 can't find user profile and cant view window content

    Hello
I have used Firefox since the old days, wayyy back. Never an issue, always worked, always performed.
My Firefox (v32 I believe), automatically downloaded and applied the v33 browser and immediately, everything went wrong...
First, the browser loaded but the screen was either sheet black or sheet white, then reloading (after closing the window) was informed (only via the window title as all else was block black) that Firefox couldn't see a user profile.
I loaded FF with safe mode and disabled everything (list of addons at the bottom of this post), and the browser loads now and I can see content, but then after only a minute in "safe mode" firefox persistently returned with either a fatal crash or a sudden inability to find the user profile (causing exit).
Reading up about possible workarounds, I eventually managed to export the Profile data (to desktop), to clear the profile data and replace data with desktop copy. Clearing the data took several attempts due to firefox display only showing black or white as stated above, but firefox then couldn't "import" profile as I can't see whats going on in the window.
Eventually manually installed profile data (from desktop automatic copy) to firefox but FF still persisted in crashing to desktop and not displaying correctly if not in Safe mode. I eventually uninstalled firefox and reinstalled from scratch. The reinstall persisted with all the above mentioned issues, I did manually reinstate the FF user profile and crashing to desktop is now rare but does still happen, now it usually happens when Firefox is not the current active window.
Firefox still does not display correctly unless in the "Safe Mode".
Any clues or help or suggestion about why this would happen? Any way I can revert to version 32?
    My Addons :
    No Services.
    Appearance, default only
    PLUGINS:
    VLC plugin 2.1.3.0
    Silverlight plugin 5.1.3
    shockwave flash 15.0.0
    Quicktime plugin 7.7.5
    Java platform SE7 U67 10.
    Google Update (disabled)
    Adobe Acrobat 11.0.9
    EXTENSIONS:
British Dictionary (not compatible with v33!!, disabled)
    Colorzilla 2.8.1
    cssUpdater 0.5.2 (disabled)
    Dust-Me Selector [for CSS] 4.1
Firebug 2.0.3 (and associated FireDiff, FirePHP, EventBug)
enabling / disabling all/any of these does not (so far) change the graphical fault loading Firefox outside of Safe Mode.
    Any ideas?
    cheers
P.S>As additional info: I have tried the "reset firefox" but this caused numerous little bugs with saving the profile user data. Also reseting did not fix any of the issues.
Everything else on my computer works fine. No virus, no malware (Eset / MWBytes) all other programs fine, and FF was fine until V33!!

  • What are the Different Profiles and what is the Neeed for profiles?

    Hello Basis Gurus,
I want to know about the profiles.. I know How to Maintain and I don't Know exactly what is the need pls any one send me detail analysys of the profiles ..i will give more reward points.
1.what are User profiles and transport profiles
    regards,
    balaram

A Profile is assigned to a particular user, with that profile rights he can access the screens and menus, and the profiles contain the roles which maintains to do particular activities or actions in screens and menus..
User Profile: we create roles in pfcg and automatically the profile is created and assignend to the user and comparsion is done, this is user profile, we can maintain this profile
Transport Profile: Whenever you are setting the transport management system the profile is loaded into the database from operating system, and at the same time the TMSADM user is created, when transports are done tp checks the profile parameter u can check it usr/sap/trans/bin where this profile exists. The system itself maintains this profile

  • Using Color profiles and exporting for web browsers

I've been trying to figure out the answer to this question. As I'm sure you're aware Safari supports color profiles while other web browsers like Firefox do not. I would like to setup Aperture so that it displays and exports images for the widest audience possible. Unfortunately it embeds a color profile and my images on the web only display correctly in Safari. I've tried changing the proofing profiles and export settings to no avail. I didn't seem to have this problem in iPhoto, a picture there looked the same on screen as it did in Safari and Firefox but I can't achieve the same with Aperture...

Thanks for that information, unfortunately I'm not really any closer to solving the issue since I've already tried that. 1) by default, doesn't Aperture automatically embed the sRGB color profile? 2) if I set view>proofing mode to sRGB shouldn't what I see on screen match what a "dumb" application such as Firefox does when it ignores the embedded profile and display sRGB? I've tried going into the preferences>export settings and changed everything to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 but I see no difference in the final image between that and the default setting.
I guess my question is more specific to Aperture since I don't have this problem with other applications. For example, in photoshop if I do Export for Web it strips out any embedded profile and when I open that image in Firefox and Safari side-by-side they are exactly the same. But not so when I export an image from Aperture, when opened in Firefox it is desaturated and flat and of course in Safari it honors the embedded profile and looks fine.

  • Need help understanding profiles and color management

I made the big leap from inexpensive inkjets to:
    1 Epson 3800 Standard
    2 Spyder3Studio
I have a Mac Pro Quad, Aperture, PS3, etc.
I have a steep learning curve ahead, here's what I've done:
1 Read a lot of books, watched tutorials, etc.
    2 Calibrated the monitor
3 Calibrated the printer several times and created .icc profiles
    What I've found:
1 The sample print produced by Spyder3Print, using the profile I created with color management turned off in the print dialog, looks very good.
2 When I get into Aperture, and apply the .icc profile I created in the proofing profile with onscreen proofing, the onscreen image does not change appreciably compared with the no proof setting. It gets slightly darker
3 When I select File>Print image, select the profile I created, turn off color management and look a the resulting preview image it looks much lighter and washed out than the onscreen image with onscreen proofing turned on.
4 When I print the image, it looks the same as was shown in the print preview...light and washed out, which is much different than what is shown in edit mode.
5 When I open PS3 with onscreen soft-proofing, the onscreen image is light and washed out...just like displayed in PS3 preview. If I re-edit the image to look OK onscreen, and print with the profile and color management turned off, the printed image looks OK.
    So, why am I confused?
1 In the back of my simplistic and naive mind, I anticipated that in creating a custom printer profile I would only need to edit a photo once, so it looks good on the calibrated screen, and then a custom printer profile will handle the work to print a good looking photo. Different profiles do different translations for different printers/papers. However, judging by the PS work, it appears I need to re-edit a photo for each printer/paper I encounter...just doesn't seem right.
2 In Aperture, I'm confused by the onscreen proofing does not present the same image as what I see in the print preview. I'm selecting the same .icc profile in both locations.
I tried visiting with Spyder support, but am not able to explain myself well enough to help them understand what I'm doing wrong.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Calibrated the printer several times and created .icc profiles
You have understand that maintaining the colour is done by morphing the colourants, and you have understood that matching the digital graphic display (which is emissive) to the print from the digital graphic printer (which is reflective) presupposes a studio lighting situation that simulates the conditions presupposed in the mathematical illuminant model for media independent matching. Basically, for a display-to-print match you need to calibrate and characterise the display to something like 5000-55000 kelvin. There are all sorts of arguments surrounding this, and you will find your way through them in time, but you now have the gist of the thing.
So far so good, but what of the problem posed by the digital graphic printer? If you are a professional photographer, you are dependent on your printer for contract proofing. Your prints you can pass to clients and to printers, but your display you cannot. So this is critical.
The ICC Specification was published at DRUPA Druck und Papier in Düsseldorf in May 1995 and ColorSync 2 Golden Master is on the WWDC CD for May 1995. Between 1995 and 2000 die reine Lehre said to render your colour patch chart in the raw condition of the colour device.
The problem with this is that in a separation the reflectance of the paper (which is how you get to see the colours of the colourants laid down on top of the paper) and the amount of colourant (solid and combinations of tints) gives you the gamut.
By this argument, you would want to render the colour patch chart with the most colourant, but what if the most colourant produces artifacts? A safer solution is to have primary ink limiting as part of the calibration process prior to rendering of the colour patch chart.
You can see the progression e.g. in the BEST RIP which since 2002 has been owned by EFI Electronics for Imaging. BEST started by allowing access to the raw colour device, with pooling problems and whatnot, but then introduced a primary ink limiting and linearisation.
The next thing you need to know is what colour test chart to send to the colour device, depending on whether the colour device is considered an RGB device or a CMYK device. By convention, if the device is not driven by a PostScript RIP it is considered an RGB device.
The colour patch chart is not tagged, meaning that it is deviceColor and neither CIEBased colour or ICCBased colour. You need to keep your colour patch chart deviceColor or you will have a colour characterisation of a colour managed conversion. Which is not what you want.
If the operating system is colour managed through and through, how do you render a colour test chart without automatically assigning a source ICC profile for the colourant model (Generic RGB Profile for three component, Generic CMYK Profile for four component)?
The convention is that no colour conversion occurs if the source ICC device profile and the destination ICC device profile are identical. So if you are targetting your inkjet in RGB mode, you open an RGB colourant patch chart, set the source ICC profile for the working space to the same as the destination ICC profile for the device, and render as deviceColor.
You then leave the rendered colourant test chart to dry for one hour. If you measure a colourant test chart every ten minutes through the first hour, you may find that the soluble inkjet inks in drying change colour. If you wait, you avoid this cause of error in your characterisation.
As you will mainly want to work with loose photographs, and not with photographs placed in pages, when you produce a contract proof using Absolute Colorimetric rendering from the ICC profile for the printing condition to the ICC profile for your studio printer, here's a tip.
Your eyes, the eyes of your client, and the eyes of the prepress production manager will see the white white of the surrounding unprinted margins of the paper, and will judge the printed area of the paper relative to that.
If, therefore, your untrimmed contract proof and the contract proof from Adobe InDesign or QuarkPress, or a EFI or other proofing RIP, are placed side by side in the viewing box your untrimmed contract proof will work as the visual reference for the media white.
The measured reference for the media white is in the ICC profile for the printing condition, to be precise in the WTPT White Point tag that you can see by doubleclicking the ICC profile in the Apple ColorSync Utility. This is the lightness and tint laid down on proof prints.
You, your client and your chosen printer will get on well if you remember to set up your studio lighting, and trim the blank borders of your proof prints. (Another tip: set your Finder to neutral gray and avoid a clutter of white windows, icons and so forth in the Finder when viewing.)
So far, so good. This leaves the nittygritty of specific ICC profiling packages and specific ICC-enabled applications. As for Aperture, do not apply a gamma correction to your colourant patch chart, or to colour managed printing.
As for Adobe applications, which you say you will be comparing with, you should probably be aware that Adobe InDesign CS3 has problems. When targetting an RGB printing device, the prints are not correctly colour managed, but basically bypass colour management.
There's been a discussion on the Apple ColorSync Users List and on Adobe's fora, see the two threads below.
    Hope this helps,

  • PS CC Converting to profile and embedding a profile

    Hi,
I just started using PS CC 2014. I have a number of variables that have changed, such as a new iMac, secondary monitor etc. I am working in aRGB when processing and I go to print via the Canon plug-in for Photoshop. I convert to profile using the ICC profile I want to use for the media and ink set that I am using. I had custom profiles made for these papers. When I save the file after printing it, it embeds the ICC profile, example Epson Premium Luster etc. instead of keeping it in the aRGB working space. I do not recall ever seeing this done automatically in prior versions and years that I have used PS. I would like to save the changes etc. but I do not want the paper profile embedded because I may want to use another paper with that file next time. When I open the file the next time and I want to print it I get the message that there is a mis-match between working profile and embedded profile, or something similar to that ( I do not have the message in front of me ). That means I have to convert the file to the working space at that point and it is an extra step that I did not have to do before.
Is there a box I need to check or uncheck somewhere to keep the file in the aRGB space or am I just loosing my mind here?
    Thank you,
    Jim

I'm not a Color Management expert, but converting and then saving from Adobe RGB to a Printer Profile tags and saves that file with that profile.
Your file space, Adobe RGB, no longer matches Photoshop's Adobe RGB working space and that's why you get the warning.
If you are printing from Photoshop, you do not convert to that profile and save, otherwise it is embedded.
That would only make sense if the printer was somewhere else, and you would then make a copy of that file with that specific printer profile embedded.
What you do is use the Print dialog and check "let Photoshop manage colors" and you pick your profile from the list.
Your file stays tagged as Adobe RGB.
You can turn off mismatch warnings in CC 2014  But be sure you are not "hiding a problem".
    Edit menu > Color Settings
    Uncheck these boxes:

  • Partner profiles and ports

How to transport the configuration of partner profiles and ports from Development to Quality systems.

    Hi vidya,
Go through this hope u can get the solution.
    WE20 Partner Profile
Here we create partner profile for each and every partner from / to which
the messages will be exchanged. There are 6 types of PF generally only
profiles of type LS(Logical System) ,KU(Customer) ,LI(Vendor) is used.
We specify the partner number and partner type and the agent and
the agent type responsible for handling of errors .
For every message send to the partner we have a outbound record and for
evry message coming from the partner we have the inbound record .
We specify the message in the otbound/inbound records ,double
clicking will take us to the detailed screen where the IDOC Type ,Port
and whether the IDCO will be immediatelt processed or collected are
    mentioned.
    WE21 Port Definition.
There are 6 types of ports but only 2 types File and Transactional RFC
    types of ports are important.
We have to specify the RFC Destination before a port can be created.
    SM59 RFC Destination
Here we specify the login settings for the destination including
the I.P address or Application Server name and the User name and
password. The information entered here is used to run Remote Function
Calls(RFC ) on the destination server .We can create number of types
of RFC Destinations but 3 types are important .
    R/3 (R/3 to R/3), LS(logical system) and TCP/IP.
The name of the RFC destination should be same as that of Logical
System as it helps in creation of automatic partner profiles.
BD64 Distribution Model . Also known as Customer Distribution Model Used to
define all the messages that will be exchanged between remote systems
and the name of thes logical systems. Any filters can also be specified.
The model once created has to be distributed on every system which will
be communicating ,It can be maintained on only One system.
    Reward points if helpful.
    Thanks

If we remove these privileges will there be any impact to future Application Server upgrades, applying of patches ?
    Question 3

There is a schema called BASEDEF with the two roles BASEAPP_ADMIN and BASEAPP_INSTANCE_ADMIN .
Please could you let us know the purpose of this schema and its usage ?
    Question 4
    ============
Does the schema BASEDEF affects b2b in any manner ?
    Regards,
    Suresh

    Hi Suresh,
Please find below answer of your questions-
    1. Profiles are created automatically during installation and they are required for maintaining the functionality of B2B. DBA access to these profiles are not required.
    2. If you revoke DBA access from the profiles, then it should not affect the functionality of B2B. Generally Patch scripts are run on account "b2b" and this account does not have dba access so there should be no problem due to access revoke.
Any DBA can answer your 3rd and 4th question.

  • Profiles and contrast

Are camera-specific camera profiles intended to match color/hue only, or color plus contrast/value?

    markalanthomas wrote:
Are camera-specific camera profiles intended to match color/hue only, or color plus contrast/value?
Answer: color plus contrast/value - BUT only when camera is not doing "intelli-contrast" type stuff, which Lightroom won't automatically mimic.
In other words, if you turn on Nikon's ADL or Canon's ALO, then jpeg is closer, contrast-wise to:
    * Camera Matching Profile
    * +exposure -highlights +shadows
than it is to camera matching profile alone, in Lightroom.
Which is why if you only select the camera matching profile and everything else is zero, sometimes you'll still have an image which is dimmer and/or contrastier in Lightroom.

  • One again about color profiles and lightroom

I have wide gamut monitor (nec pa271w) and I tried to calibrate it. After calibration it created new color profile and make it default in windows color managment. But now all pictures in Lightroom are not so colourful as they were before. If I choose srgb(default profile for windows) the colors become as they were before calibration but in this case I see srgb color space and not full color that my monitor can produce. I read articles about calibration but didn't find how to solve the problem with lightroom.

    You wrote
    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}But now all pictures in Lightroom are not so colourful as they were before.
This is probably the effect of your now calibrated monitor vs. the uncalibrated one.
Often uncalibrated monitors show highly over-saturated colors. It looks very rich and flashy and people are wowed.
But these over-saturated colors cannot be printed and do not reflect the true state of the image data.
When your monitor is calibrated properly it will display the colors as they should be.
When you chose sRGB all the colors - particularly the reds and greens - will appear more saturated. That is the effect of this color space that is much smaller than Adobe RGB or Pro Photo RGB.
LR will automatically find and select your calibrated color profile if it is saved in the right place / folder.
And you can't change that. There is no provision for a different color space in LR.
    WW
PS: As Pete and other posters have said already: Set the white point of your monitor to 6500 - that is the accepted standard. Don't choose sRGB to make your photos look good. Rather work with a calibrated monitor and then edit your photos in LR to your liking. You seem to think that your photos are a given and you have to adjust your monitor to make them look good - that's not how it's done.

  • Raw, colorsync profiles, and saving/exporting for web

I'm having a bit of trouble dealing with my raw files, or more particularly, being sure that I'm saving for webpages with the right profile.
I have several thousand images in Nikon's NEF and/or DNG format. I'd like to have iPhoto be my main catalog for them, but I don't want to copy over the several gigs worth, so I set the prefs to NOT copy the files over. The working jpg files it creates seem fine, but I can't tell whether they have the AdobeRGB profile associated with them, since that's what I shot them with. I'd then like to export them, or save them, to jpegs for the web at a somewhat reduced size, but they need to be in sRGB format for proper web presentation, which I'll do much of the work with iWeb. But there's no color profile choice in the export dialog, or the edit dialog, or anywhere else I can find. Am I missing something?
Basicallly, I'd like to have all my images in albums, and then have subalbums with the web versions (say about 900x600, about 70% quality, and sRGB color space). Is this possible with iPhoto? I've been mucking about with Adobe's Lightroom, which does have the color space choices in the export dialog, as well as a ton of other features. And previously I used Photoshop CS2 / Bridge to handle everything. But I thought iPhoto would make things easier.

  • Aure capabilties in Data Cleansing, profiling and Metadata lineage

Can some one explain Azure's inbuilt capabilities in Data Cleansing, profiling and Metadata lineage? if they have any
    Regards

Azure Data Factory makes it easy to automate Hadoop or custom code.  So any library, method, etc that works on Hadoop can be used within a Data Factory pipeline.
Once an Azure Data Factory is designed, in the Azure portal
https://portal.azure.com you can see a diagram view the data factory including the various tables (Files, SQL tables, blobs, etc) and the activities (Copies, Hive/ Pig scripts) which connect those. When you click on a particular item, there is a visual
lineage view to show which ones feed in and out from the selected item.
Our intial Lineage focus initially has been "operational lineage" including things like health status, health history, run logs, etc.
Example screenshot (my items are all green at the moment, but would show failures and logs affiliated with any failures)
Data Profiling and metadata lineage are areas of asks we’ve heard before.
What kind of needs does your business have?
Also, please visit our feedback site and vote up items you wish for, and mention new ideas as well.

  • Coverage profile and Forecast profile together

    Dear all,
Can we use coverage profile and forecast profile together. What are the requirements for the same.
We are using coverage profile with following details
    No. of periods=20
    Type of period per length=1
Range of coverage in first period= 10
The forecast profile is set for
    Historical periods=12
    Initialisation period=2(Automatic,X)
    Periods /season=12
    Forecast periods=12
    with different weighting groups.
But whenever forecasting is executed with some historical data for the 3 profiles it is giving same forecast values for all 3 profiles with different weighting groups.
Also the MRP type used here is a copy of the PD MRP type and not VV or VS.
    Where can the problem lie?
    Regards
    Manisha

    Dear
Coverage Profile and Forecast profile are two different subject  !
If it is range of coverage profile , then The range of coverage profile contains the parameters for calculating the dynamic safety stock. This is a statistical calculation on the basis of average daily requirements. With the dynamic safety stock, you can determine a safety stock based on requirements and range of coverage. The dynamic safety stock adapts automatically to the changed requirements and is fully available for planning purposes. You can limit the quantities used in the calculation of the dynamic safety stock by defining maximum and minimum ranges of coverage. You can also limit the period of time by defining different time periods in which the range of coverage is valid.
I hope you are asking about saferty caverage profile,,here basicalli we are setting the system to see how the safety stock is to be covered and calculated.See the help link below and come back if required

    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPLO/Dynamicsafetystock+calculation
Where as Forecasting Profile , please refer the below :
    Profiles
One more query : Also the MRP type used here is a copy of the PD MRP type and not VV or VS.
I think you should use Forecast Base MRP type like VV  rather PD.PD does not carry out any Forcasting Functionality .Please check wether you replicate PD from VV , then it is possible to execute Forecast specially Total Consumption set up in MRP type .
    Hope this will be useful
    Regards
