  • SQL workshop Data Model

It seems like the data model in sql workshop (where is shows a diagram of linked tables) is very useful.
Has anyone built anything like this in their application or is there an example out there somewhere of how it was done in the sql workshop.
Something like this would be very useful in an application that I'm building but I'm not too sure where to start.
    Thanks!

There are a ton of things in the SQL Workshop that I would love to get the "source code" behind but I am sure Oracle is not about to divulge all these intellectual property anytime soon.
Login to my apex.oracle.com workspace at vikasa/guest/guest and review the SQL Workshop application. The page that shows the model is 2103 and 2152. It just has a PL/SQL region with an API call to draw the model diagram

  • 2015 VCDX Workshop Dates

    Folks,
Below is the current list of dates that we would like to hold the 4-hour VCDX Workshop class.  These do Coincide with the local VMUG's and are the day BEFORE in the afternoon so that people don't end up losing the day of the VMUG for the 4-hour session.  We are in the process of working to find speakers for these.  In the event we cannot get a speaker we will update the posting to reflect the status of the event.  You will be able to register for these events via the VMUG registration system for that event.  The dates listed are the day before, with the exception of Toronto which is the same day due to the short timeline.  These will be the only dates we can support in 2015.
These dates represent approximately double the sessions held in 2014, and are officially presented and supported by VMware VCDX Employees.  At this time these are the ONLY dates we are able to support at this time based on speaker availability and budget constraints.  There is already an online version of the bootcamp series and we are working to get an updated recording from PEX2015 posted soon.  Other dates may follow and the post will be updated if they do.
NOTE:  The enrollment for the workshop is PART of the UserCon Registration.  There is a single field that is NOT a required field.  Image is attached, Don't Miss it!
    ABSTRACT:

    Hi,
How about the issue now, is it solved?
This issue might be caused by her user profile. What the result would be if using another user account to log on her computer to test this issue.
Also do you have the same problem when you open excel in Safe Mode?
Try opening Excel without any Add-ins or hidden workbooks:
Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click the excel program.

  • Middleware - SAP AII

    Hi RFID Friends,
i found many informations about SAP AII and RFID Tech. in this , but nothing to a Middleware, witch is essentail for comm. between RFID hardware and SAP. help.sap.com is like a cloesed book in this case. I read about BizTalk or Websphere, XI... but all those are to much for an Small Business case. it's unclear for me:
    1. What SAP AII need to get DATA from an Reader. What is the simply and cheap way?
    2. Because AII is an standalone System, is XI neccecery to get this Information from AII into SAP ERP?
    Can you help me please.
    Thank you all
    Bülent

    Hi Bullent,
You were correct in not finding out any information on RFID Middleware on help.sap.com.
This is because SAP is not involved in that business at all. Instead SAP depends upon its partners to deliver RFID middleware solutions. For eg, Biztalk from Microsoft, IBM middleware and PIXIE from Infosys technologies Ltd are such examples. SAP AII exposes an interface which the middleware development team has to comply with. Then there is also a SAP Certification process for Device middlewares that support communication with SAP AII.
SAP similarly also depends upon its partners for RFID hardware also. For. Zebra, Motorola are some of the RFID hardware that are compliant with SAP AII for mobile devices.
    Answer to your questions:
    1) SAP AII can get whatever data is written on the tags. It depends on your business requirement what data is needed by you on the tags. There is no simple or cheap way. There are two ways.
    a) Fixed Readers: Require RFID middleware between hardware and SAP AII
    b) Mobile Readers: Can be directly supported by SAP AII witout device middleware. (So this can be cheaper )
    2) Yes SAP XI is necessary to send data to SAP ERP. Else it will require huge custom abap development to support this.
I hope i have answered your questions. Thnks

  • Calling Data Control from Session bean

Is it possible to use workshop data control from with in Session bean.

If the client code is located in the same "deployment unit" (e.g. EAR
file) as the EJBs, then you can pass the data by reference.
Serialization is required when crossing between deployment units. This
    is required to support redeployment.
    Hyung-Jin Kim wrote:
I recently downloaded WL6.0 and I noticed that when a
session bean returns data to its client, the data is
always serialized back the client -- EVEN it the client
is on the same machine. Ideally, I would prefer that a
reference to the data simply be returned to the client.
Does the serialization occur because WL6.0 put session
beans in its own ClassLoader or does the serialization occur
because of the way WL6.0 compiles the RMI stubs? Thanks
    for your response.

  • RFID - SAP AII

    Hi all,
Need some infomation on SAP AII and also how to relate RFID with SAP AII and also SAP Data base,
How the data will be filtered in SAP AII?
If anyone knows regarding this let me know
    Thanks,
    -Teena.

    Hi Teena,
    <b>SAP RFID Solution Package</b>
The SAP RFID solution package provides a complete auto-ID middleware solution connecting RFID data directly from auto-ID data capture sources, such as RFID readers and device controllers, and integrates the data directly into enterprise applications . It converts raw RFID data into business process information by making the associations from key business rules, master data, and transactions to raw RFID data .
    <b>SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure</b>
Auto-ID Infrastructure is compatible with SAP R/3 4.6C or greater, and it also has adapters for SAP Warehouse Management, SAP Business Information Warehouse, SAP Supply Chain Event Management, SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization, and all SAP NetWeaver components.
Auto-ID Infrastructure is designed to synchronize EPC and RFID information into your ERP systems by providing a complete, multidimensional data model of RFID-enabled assets, including:
    <b>1.EPC number
    2.Asset location
    3.Status
    4.Last RFID read point
    5.Handling unit number
6.Packing hierarchy association (such as item, item-to-case, or case-to-pallet)</b>
It then maps this data to your SAP R/3 system via association to handling units (HUs). Handling unit headers include a standards-based HU number, weight, volume, and dimensions. HU content includes material number, quantity, unit of measure, batch number, plant number and location, and stock category (such as consignment), as well as serial number and inspection lot data.
These HUs are then associated with EPC numbers and are integrated into the appropriate transaction for processes such as production orders, transfer orders, sales orders, delivery (ASNs) and receipt, shipment, picking and packing, and inventory move and packing operations.
Because it is built on SAP Web Application Server, Auto-ID Infrastructure supports multiple communication interfaces (HTTP, SOAP, WSDL, SOCKET/ TCPIP), as well as mobile interfaces to PocketPC 2003 and Mobile Linux (Sharp).
<b>It runs on Windows (XP, 2000, NT), Unix, and Linux, and supports Oracle, SAP DB, DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server.</b>This should answer your query.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pawan P.Khilari

  • How do I integrate an RTLS system to the Auto-ID Infrastructure (AII)

Where would I find documentation and/or code examples that explain how to integrate a Real Time Location System (RTLS) to the Auto-ID Infrastructure (AII)?

    Hi Rchard,
The answer to your question will depend on many things. Here are three initial questions you should answer to get you started.
    (1) What do you mean by RTLS - I have heard as many defnitions as there are people talking abou the concept. One view (CompTIA) is that it refers to a container tracking solution in a large container yard e.g. intermodal.
    (2) Which business processes are you looking at? - AII 4.0 contains business processes (receiving, shipping, returnables) that you may be able to leverage in your solution. However, there may be other aspects of the solution (e.g. handheld RFID interrogator usage) which you may need to tie directly into XI. Another issue to watch for in regard to AII is the tag data standard - you will not want to use EPC-type tag data on a 433 MHz active tag and you may want to tie sensor data e.g. temperature or movement into your tag data. In this case AII may also be a difficult choice.
    (3) Which tags you will use e.g. 433 MHz active versus passive LF or other passive tags will also make a huge difference in that they determine the scope of your solution e.g. what is feasible and what is not.
Hope this helps you get started with your question.
    Cheers, Chris

  • Dynamic Item Renderer

    Hello everyone,
I used Catalyst to design my interaction and navigation and then use Flash Builder to add all my logic. Everything works as expected but i have one issue regarding my item renderer data list.
Here is my issue : i set up an itemRenderer for a dynamic calendar filled by a database.
Every schedule contain one to four workshops (data.ws, data.ws2. data.ws3 data.ws4) and are separated by a static bar (footerGroup)
So, i am trying (since days now) to make this separate bar dynamic so there are no blank gap between repeated two schedules if there are less than 4 workshops.
I reckon i need to code an actionscript "if statement" for the bar to move its Y according to workshops.
Thanks for your help and guidance guys,
i have a designer background and have some hard time to develop some special features

Wouldn't I then just get one image? Whereas what I want is if
the value = 1, display 1 image. If the value = 2, display 2 images.
Thus creating a bar of images.
Im actually having trouble adding multiple images to the HBox
    in the itemRenderer.

  • Assign application to user

I have a workspace with multiple applications.
How do i control which application a user logs into?
For example: i have an order entry application and an inventory control application. I want user A to go to the order entry app., and user B to go to the inventory app. whenever they log in.
Right now, after having created the users, when they log in, all they get is the htmlbd welcome page with out the
Application Builder, SQL Workshop, Data Workshop, and Administration buttons.
I guess somehow i need to direct them to my custom login page?
    Christoph

    Christoph,
Generally speaking, the applications you build for end users should be completely separate from the HTML DB development environment in terms of the authentication and authorization mechanisms they use. There is no need for end users to log in to the HTML DB development environment in order to run your applications.
Each application should have a home page URL that you communicate to users, e.g., the home page for Order entry might be ../f?p=ORDER-ENTRY:1, the home page for Inventory Control might be ../f?p=INV-CONTROL:1, etc., where you use application aliases as shown or numeric application IDs. You will have created an authentication scheme and a login page in each application (see http://otn.oracle.com/products/database/htmldb/howtos/how_to_change_auth_method.html and http://otn.oracle.com/products/database/htmldb/howtos/how_to_create_login_page.html), such that when a user visits the home URL of an application, the user is initially redirected to the login page in that application. After authentication, the user is shown the page originally requested. How your login page authenticates the user is a choice you must make (custom tables, LDAP, HTML DB developer accounts, SSO). Of course, applications that use a Single Sign-On method won't use internal login pages, but users would still access different applications by using URLs to each application's home page.
In a development/demonstration environment, it is often convenient to have small numbers of users authenticate to your applications (using login pages in those apps) using the HTML DB developer account repository. During this phase, account creation/maintenance chores are your problem. For production deployment, this is not recommended because of the numerous security and administrative issues attendant to user account management involving a local user repository within a larger IT environment.
Your application design should also address the problem of authorization, i.e., which authenticated users are allowed to use which applications and which components within each application.
