AIM: max logins exceeded

My phone: Verizon Tour, BB OS 5.0.0.732, AIM client 2.5.63.
When I try to login to the AIM client, I get the error:
The maximum number of logins has been exceeded.
I have seen other people with this issue, but no confirmed resolution.  I am not logged into AIM anywhere else.  I have logged out of Facebook.  I have enabled then deleted my BB phone number on my account on moble.aol.com.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the BB AIM client.  I have rebooted my BB.  I can log onto AIM (iChat) on my Mac.
This is getting a bit frustrating at this point.  Any help is appreciated.

  • Cannot log into blend and has said max attempts exceeded, Link will not connect either

    I downloaded the Blend software on my macbook pro and it would not log in with my Blackberry ID. After 5 attempts it locked me out.
    I reset my Blackberry ID and tried again, but it will not let me even attempt to login and says max attempts exceeded. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same problem. Also Link will not let me connect. Any ideas please? looks like I am going over to Iphone if this continues and bin my Z30.

    Jeff,
    Thanks for the info on policy settings.
    Let's see: I had 8.1.5 installed and I tried the update to 10g but only works from 8.1.7 or 9i, so then uninstalled and re-tried to do fresh install in a different home (OraHome10 vs OraHome8). That didn't go so well--it changed my 8i somehow so 8i would no longer work. Then I tried fresh install of 9i with a new starter DB--couldn't get into that DB. So uninstalled 9i, uninstalled 10g, uninstalled 8i, deleted every reference to Oracle on my computer, registry, etc., and re-tried 10g. I even went and bought a registry cleaning tool to zap things to make sure it was clean. It looked like it installed fine, provided me with starter DB but I just can't get into it. I'll let you know if the policy setting works.
    I'm trying to look on the bright-side and say that we are learning a lot!

  • ISE max-login-ignore-identity-response

    Hi forumers'
    Greeting, I had a question regarding ISE login identity response.
    In my POC deployment, i'm using a single testing domain user account at the testing Active Directory. I able to login to the testing's secure network using the same user credential over normal workstation and handheld device (Ex: iphone, ipad etc),  SIMUTANEOUSLY.
    How do i can strengthen the authorization policy where
    1. ISE max-login identity response only allow to 2 concurrent connectivity on maximum one user per workstation and/or handheld device.
    example:
    AD user-A conencting to 1 unit of workstation and 1 unit of iPhone at the same time. If user-A trying to connect another iPad this time should make the connection fail.
    Can i fine tune and strengthen on this, thanks
    Noel

    I have had the same issue, the fault is caused by the time zone in the sponsor groups being set by default to UTC, so if you are in London the accounts wont become available until UTC time. The best practice is to add a local time zone and remove UTC at initial configuration
    To resolve this create a new local time zone in Guest Access>Settings>Guest Locations and SSIDs then under Guest Access>Configure>Sponsor Groups amend the time zone properties in each sponsor group
    One other problem is if you do not remove this at initial configuration you don't seem to be able to get rid of UTC, not really an issue unless you forget when creating new sponsor groups

  • Max Cursors Exceeded even with XSU 1.2

    In one of the messages on this forum I read Steven Muench's comments stating that the max cursors exceeded problem for big result sets in XSQL has been addressed in XSU1.2
    I have downloaded this software released in April 2000 but this version still gives me this error.
    Has someone been able to find a solution/workaround to this.
    Thanks

    It might also be an issue with the HS_OPEn_CURSORS. By default the gateway allows only 50 open cursors to be opened at the foreign database. What happens when you set in the gateway init file  HS_OPEN_CURSORS=200?
    If it still fails, could you upload to a public file share a gateway trace level DEBUG (HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL=DEBUG)?

    Hi
    In my server open_cursors is set as 300 .We are developing a java application(using struts & Jboss web server) nearly 10 computers access the oracle 10g server through plsql procedures/functions ,frequently I am getting ORA-01000 -MAX CURSOR EXCEEDS errors,what should I do .please.....

    That means there is two cursor related parameters

    From the above what I understood is correct ???
    F) How to clear 1)Cached cursors ? (or) how to reduce NUM_CURS (from the above left side table ).
    G) will the 1)Cached cursors give any problems to our database.

  • ERR Driver Status: (Hex 0xBFFA2003) Max Time exceeded before operation completed. (TEK DPO2014)

    Hi NI.
    I'm trying to aquire signals from an Tektronix DPO2014 oscilloscope using Labview SignalExpress.
    I have downloaded and installed the appropriate driver (at least I think )) : tkdpo2k using NI download station.
    I run an ethernet connection and I do see the device in MAX, however im not quite sure if I have configured the IVI driver sessions correctly.
    Anyway, when I open Signal Express, and select "IVI scope aquire" I can select my device under "resource descriptor" and the appropriate driver under "Instrument driver". I then turn on my Oscilloscope, tune in the machines tachogenerator, which is the signal the oscilloscope is to measure, and then select "autosetup" The sinosoidal waweform shows up on the oscilloscope and in SignalExpress, it is only done once. I then try and run the program and the error message accurs:
    Timeout.
    <ERR>Driver Status:  (Hex 0xBFFA2003) Max Time exceeded before operation completed.
    Is the problem regarding problems with triggertime or write/read problems with the TCP/IP connection?
    What can I do to fix this problem?

    The application is running on jrun 4.0.1 server.
    i checked the log files but the load was too few on the day.
    I tried a lots of stuff on net but could not find the solution.
    pls help it out urgently

    Lisa,
    I would check the online docs and/or the following HowTos for more details. They are not specific to JRun, but will give you the general process and list or archives and other things to copy and add to the classpath:

    The problem is, it takes quite a while for the JMS connection to get established. It fails as you see on max retries.
    However it succeeds eventually.
    However the B2B functionality doesnt start till the connection is established.
    Any idea why this is happeninig...it takes arnd 5-8 minutes for our B2B to actually start polling/ working.
    I did a tnsping to the database and it works correctly.
    Plz help its urgent.
    Thanks,
    Rosh

    Hi Rosh,
    To which JMS you are connecting (weblogic or something else)? This may happen only when the target JMS server is not reachable / there is JNDI look up issue.
    Please provide details. Also refer -
    Re: AIP-50077:  Cannot Initialize Transport
    If you are connecting to Weblogic JMS then make sure to follow below steps -
    1. Add the weblogic.jar in the classpath by following the below instructions:
    a. copy the weblogic.jar in $ORACLE_HOME/ip/lib/ folder
    b. go to the $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/ folder
    c. update the opmn.xml (take the backup of opmn.xml)
    c.1 add this line <variable id="CLASSPATH" value="$ORACLE_HOME/ip/lib/weblogic.jar" append="true" />
    after <variable id="CLASSPATH" value="$ORACLE_HOME/ip/lib/maverick-all.jar" append="true" /> line
    d. restart the B2B
    2. make sure the below properties are set in IDC configuration

  • Low value asset max.amount exceeded

    Hi all,
    When doing a full settlement in CJ88, I am getting the following error: 'Low value asset max.amount exceeded. No posting allowed'. When I have defined a new asset class, I have copied from a LVA class. The new asset class is not an LVA asset class, therefore there is no limitation. Then, why am I getting the above error?
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Nas

  • Max # extents exceeded

    Hi,
    I am having problems with the max # extents being exceeded.
    I am creating a spatial index using the following script:
    CREATE INDEX GIS.MYTABLE_SX ON
    GIS.MYTABLE(GEOMETRY)
    indextype is MDSYS.SPATIAL_INDEX
    parameters ( 'SDO_LEVEL=6,
         SDO_NUMTILES = 8,
         SDO_COMMIT_INTERVAL = 1000,
         TABLESPACE = GISI,
         INITIAL = 131072,
         NEXT = 131072,
         PCTINCREASE = 0,
         MINEXTENTS = 1,
         MAXEXTENTS = 2147483645,
         BTREE_INITIAL = 512K,
         BTREE_NEXT = 512K,
         BTREE_PCTINCREASE = 0')
    This in turn creates the table
    MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$
    and
    the indexes
    MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$_B1
    (x4 - one for each field SDO_GROUPCODE, SDO_CODE, SDO_STATUS, SDO_ROWID)
    and
    MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$_B2
    (x1 one for SDO_ROWID)
    using the following script:
    DROP TABLE MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$ CASCADE CONSTRAINTS ;
    CREATE TABLE MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$ (
    SDO_GROUPCODE RAW (14),
    SDO_ROWID ROWID,
    SDO_CODE RAW (14),
    SDO_STATUS VARCHAR2 (1))
    TABLESPACE GISI
    PCTFREE 10
    PCTUSED 40
    INITRANS 1
    MAXTRANS 255
    STORAGE (
    INITIAL 131072
    NEXT 131072
    PCTINCREASE 0
    MINEXTENTS 1
    MAXEXTENTS 2147483645
    FREELISTS 1 FREELIST GROUPS 1 )
    NOCACHE;
    CREATE INDEX MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$_B1 ON
    "GIS".MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$(SDO_GROUPCODE, SDO_CODE, SDO_ROWID, SDO_STATUS)
    TABLESPACE GISI PCTFREE 10 STORAGE(INITIAL 524288 NEXT 524288 PCTINCREASE 0 )
    CREATE INDEX MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$_B2 ON
    "GIS".MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$(SDO_ROWID)
    TABLESPACE GISI PCTFREE 10 STORAGE(INITIAL 524288 NEXT 524288 PCTINCREASE 0 )
    The problem is when you create a spatial index using the top script the max # extents do not get applied to
    MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$_B1
    and
    MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$_B2
    Instead these tables take on the default max # extents set on the tablespace.
    How do I set the max # extents for indexes
    MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$_B1
    and
    MYTABLE_SX_HL6N8$_B2
    to MAXEXTENTS 2147483645 for example. I am aware that this is not good practice but I would like to know if it is possible. Is it a spatial issue? I have tried to increase the size of
    the BTREE_INITIAL and BTREE_NEXT to 512K from 128K but it still complains about max # extents (999) reached. A way round it is obviously to increase the default max # extents on the tablespace but that requires DBA intervention. I would like to know how one can do this programatically using the top script or something similar.
    Thanks
    Regards
    Stephen

    Hi Stephen,
    A few thoughts:
    Oracle has pretty much dropped hybrid indexing in terms of it being
    a generically useful way to index data. As of 9.0.1.2 the suggestion
    is to use R-tree indexes unless there is something about your
    workload or data set that makes the use of R-trees bad.
    If you don't use R-tree indexing, then stick with fixed indexing. The
    original idea of hybrid indexing was to allow better approximations
    of geometries without the index growing too large, but it turns out the
    SQL index query within spatial took longer than anticipated.
    In terms of setting up the spatial index, when creating a quadtree index
    you can specify the btree_initial and btree_next in the parameters clause
    of the create index statement, which allows you to adjust the btree indexing
    parameters as you noted, but there is no way to set the max number of
    extents (or in fact the tablespace used for the b-tree indexes).
    When you need that control, you need to to have dba intervention to set the
    default tablespace and parameters at the user level before creating the spatial
    index. The parameters in the parameters clause can set up the index table
    parameters, and the default parameters can be used for the btree indexes.
    regards,
    dan

  • AIM Secure Login?

    So from what I know, the AIM protocol sends login information unencrypted, with the password MD5'd.  So if one were to login on wifi and someone were sniffing the packets, this would enable someone else to logon with that account.  As far as I know that's all they should be able to do with it though, e.g. can't change the password or anything.
    Does anyone know if it's possible to logon with AIM securely?

    Well, I'm no expert, but if you're primarily worried about wifi sniffing, then it seems that a possible solution could be --
    1. Set up irssiproxy and bitlbee (this allows the AIM connection)
    2. Connect to the server in #1 using an ssh tunnel.
    3. Set your local IRC client (yes, IRC -- not just an AIM client -- the AIM connection occurs with bitlbee on the remote server) to look at the local ssh connection.
    That should give you the peace of mind for any wifi sniffers around. Hope that makes sense! Check the wiki for setting up irssi, irssiproxy and bitlbee. It's reasonable easy to setup, but after it's working, the only extra step to log on each day will be to make sure the ssh tunnel is active.
    Good luck!
    Scott

  • Problem with iChat AIM - Multiple login, log out

    I am having a recurring problem with my iChat. Every time I try to log into AIM when I'm home, it rapidly logs in and logs out, and then tells me that I have loged in too many times and need to wait a few minutes to try again. I have tried the delete .plist file solution, but this did not work. This is a very very annoying problem, because I love using iChat when it actually works.
    I have also tried using other IM applications, and they all work flawlessly... whats up iChat? Any Ideas?
    R.V.

    Hi,
    The problem is not limited to Netgears.
    In fact I never had the issue with the Netgear I had.
    It is an extremely well documented issue with Zyxel devices since iChat 2
    134 response to Searching for Zyxel across iChat 2 and 3 forums.
    It sort of goes like this.
    At one time routing modems or routers could only do Port Forwarding
    This involved pointing one port at One IP (Computer)
    You could not forward a Port to two computers (IPs)
    Since then manufacturers have added in stating Protocols as well as Ports to open.
    So as UDP and TCP protocols tend to be the ones on ports above 1024 you have some apps that have both Protocols in use and in some cases on the same port.
    It does seem that this business of not being able to Forward a Port twice also effects those were you ow have to state Protocols as well.
    iChat uses two ports twice.
    Port 5190 is used to do the AIM Log in and basic Text chats on TCP
    It used UDP to Send Files, Pics-in-Chats (Direct IMs) and certain Buddy List feedback and Group chats (Chatrooms).
    Less effected is the Bonjour Port 5298
    The regular posters have long since held the view that the AIM servers sometimes can not handle all the login and text traffic on just port 5190 (ICQ is also owned by AOL and on this same port).
    We Suggest port 443 for several reasons.
    However it is mainly as this is below the threshold of 1024
    There are in fact 65535 ports that could be in use.
    Most domestic devices have the port up to 1024 open to all computers connected.
    This means Web Browsing (Port 80) and Mail (ports 110, 443, 567, 955 and others) are below this threshold and will work "out-of-the-box"
    As any firewall included in the device or on a Mac with Tiger or Earlier the port 443 is likely to be opened for a Mail App (It is also used in Web Browsing to Secure sites like Banks and the Apple Discussions Log in page) so that several apps can use the port.
    It is worth noting that the Leopard Firewall works differently in allowing the ports associated with an App on an Certificated (by app) basis so there is no Piggy-backing.
    On the SPI (Or if you have DOS) Front.
    These features tend to be Threshold based.
    DOS comes from the time when so called Hackers got together to all try the same web site/page and repeatedly refresh the page so that the server got lots of incoming requests.
    This overloaded the server and brought down the whole web server and the computer it was on lost connection to the internet as a whole.
    DOS protection looks to see if this "Too Much Data, Too Quickly" scenario is happening and will cut that one port (In the case of iChat 4) that it is happening on.
    (iChat Can send LOTS of data)
    SPI tends to try and filter things in a different manner by checking if the data looks valid.
    IT seems in some cases it can not keep up with the amount of data iChat can stream and consequently cuts the connection the same as DOS does.
    Both are dependent on how fast your Buddies Processor is, how fast their Internet Connection.
    (Some Buddies can send only 15fps of a 640 X 480 pixel pic other can manage 30fps or twice as much data)
    This is somewhat augmented (or not) by how fast you can accept data both over your Download speeds and your processor dealing with it.
    Therefore it can seem to be an intermittent problem depending on the circumstances of the connection of that chat.
    My Netgear had DOS and It had it Off (Along with the Ping Blocking)
    My Current Sagem Fast 2504 has only the Block to Internet Pings settings which is Off
    So on the whole Experience and Practice.

  • Ora-1000 max openCursor exceeded

    Hi,
    i have a question about the ora-1000.
    My prog is a "C"-coded Programm. Which is connected to the
    database. After few days the Ora-message ora-1000 will be shown
    in the tracefile.
    The Parameter Max open Cursor is meanwhile set 1000.
    Knows anyone the Problem with 8.1.7 DB.
    We have also the online-backup and the Journaling set on.
    I tried to generate the same fault with a test prog but it was
    not possible with test- Tables. I had the same effect only with
    the Production Tables.
    bestv regards

    Make sure that u close all the cursors that u open in the
    program. Most of the time that is the biggest culprit.
