  • Problems Installing Adobe Acrobat XI Pro via CreativeCloud

    Hi,
I am having difficulty in installing Adobe Acrobat XI Pro onto my Windows Vista SP2 machine, via the Creative Cloud platform.  The Adobe Application Manager has installed, and whenever I look through the application list Adobe Acrobat XI Pro is not in there (despite me paying for the year subscription).  Secondly, when attempting to download via the web interface of CreativeCloud the Adobe Application Manager gets brought into view, but still the application does not install or download - and does not present me with any error messages.
    Thoughts please?

    Hi PrepetrolLtd,
Acrobat XI is not recommended for windows Vista and that is the reason it wont show up in Adobe Application Manager.

  • Installing Acrobat X Pro using GPO

I've created GPO to install Adobe Acrobat X Pro on the network computers, and used computer configuration but the application didn't get installed. The software is compatible with Windows 7 64bit for some reason it installs the 32bit as it is showing x86 platform in the properties.
I've tried to create another GPO for software 64bit to test if I'm doing the right steps and it worked. I suspect it has to do to the 64bit and 32bit.
Any clue how to make it work?

Yes I know that, I even did for another software and it worked. The issue is that there is no failure or any message, it just doesn't work.
    What I did is:
    1. Created a new OU under the domain
    2. Added the user's PC in that OU.
    3. In the Group Policy Management I created the GPO called Adobe and linked it to the new OU
    4. In th security filtering of the new GPO I added the user's PC.
    5. In the GPME of the Adobe GPO, under computer configuration -->Policies --> Software installation I added the package as assigned and the path of the msi is in a shared folder in the network with read permission for the user's pc.
I restarted the user's pc and couldn't see the installation message or the application's icon.
However,  if I do it under user configuration it works and you can see the application in add/remove but I don't want it that way because user will not be forced to install it.

if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem downloading, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com

  • Should I install adobe acrobat 9 pro on my imac

I was considering installing Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on my imac and didn't know if it was a good idea.  I heard that there are security threats using adobe products but didn't know if it was true.

It should be perfectly safe to use. Security threats are related to Adobe Flash, not to Acrobat.

  • Acrobat Pro XI when installed over Acrobat 9 Pro removes LiveCycle Designer.

Acrobat Pro XI when installed over Acrobat 9 Pro removes LiveCycle Designer.  Forms Central can't open LiveCycle Designer Forms so what do you do?
I have uninstalled XI and re-installed LiveCycle Designer only.  On re-installation, I chose not to uninstall version 9 and to do a customer set up (not installing forms central).
LiveCycle is now working along with Acrobat ProXI

LiveCycle Designer is no longer distributed as part of the Acrobat release. I think it is available as a separate product. At this point, Acrobat provides the AcroForm type tools (kind of hard to get to, just as in some previous versions) and the option for Forms Central. The whole focus has changed. I suspect that others may be in the same situation of trying to get their forms to interact in Acrobat or Forms Central, but at this point I do not think there is any way to back Designer forms into either of the two current formats. Not much help, but a comment in any case.
