AiPad is frozen after trying to download 8.1. Charging plug and iTune icon is reflected on screen. The only other computer I have is the Air.

I am unable to import .ics files into Lion that I exported from my Snow Leopard MacBookPro without losing all of my future events (which all have alerts attached). All of the events from BEFORE today's date are successfully importing, presumably because they are no longer expected to trigger alerts via Apple Mail. After my first unsuccessful attempt, I learned that iCal was communicating with iCloud by default. I have since turned off iCloud, but I have not found a solution to the problem. Harvey

After battery flat, usb plug and itunes icon appear and unable to restore
last 2 weeks, my phone didn't work anymore.
my screen turn up with usb plug and itunes icons.
i tried to connect my phone to the computer, itunes was open.
i pushed the offbutton on the top and i pushed the home button for 10 sec.
then, i only pushed the home button.
i got a message from itunes, saying that he found a phone to restore.
i did restore, but at the end: i got following message:
" couldn't be restored, error 28".
i tried to restore my phone in DFU modus (like i read on forums), but it doesn't work.
i sent my phone to the shop where i bought it, they said it is caused by my attempts to upgrade to OS to 3.1. But in fact, i never tried upgraded it. as i said, it happenned after my phone battery flat. they said the solution software will only arrive to Malaysia next year. oh my god! they gotta be kidding me!
so i sent my phone to 3 others independent (not iphone) mobile phone service center and still waiting. now im using back my Dopod 818 phone which luckily i haven't scrap it.
Please help me, i had enough trouble since i bought it where i wanna try the apple technologyIphone has a one year warranty.
You can take it to the official service provider (you can find this on Apple's website), and if the iphone is defective, then they will replace/repair.
Did you buy from Maxis? They appear to be the official provider there. They provide service as well.

ITouch frozen after trying to download updates..help!
I downloaded the updates to my iTunes yesterday and then tried to sync my iPod. my iPod completely froze. I figured the battery would run out and it would fix what evers wrong with it, but it's be 18 hours and it's still forzen on the same screen. I've also tried a hard reset and it does nothing. This iPod is only 3 months old. I have a picture of the screen, but don't think I can load it here.
There is no "iTunes 12" and you don't download iTunes to your iPad anyway. Can you please explain your situation in more detail?
As a quick suggestion, have you tried resetting your iPad by holding down the Home and Sleep buttons until you see the Apple icon? -
App has frozen after trying to download folio
Hello all,
I was contacted by a customer who has been trying to download one of our large folios (around 100MB in size and over 1200 "pages") for the past 3 days. It it a multi-folio app. Her app has since locked and she can no longer view previously downloaded folios. Internally, we have successfully downloaded the folio on iPads, iPhones, iPods and and an Android tablet without any issues. What course of action should she take to resolve this issue? She did not say what version of the iPad she is using but we did test it on an iPad 1 & 3 without any issues. It was created in V26. Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

I recently stopped a download of the most current IOS- I powered off the phone. It now displays a charging cord with an arrow to an itunes icon. How do I get the phone to work again. Not near a computer with my itunes account and do not wish to continue the download.
You will have to try a recovery mode restore, for what you need a computer with the latest version of iTunes.

What you have on your computer is your iTunes library, not an "account."
Did you download and install the latest version of iTunes, which is available here?

If you have an earlier version, it may not support the most recent iPod nano, which could explain why Windows does not have the device driver to identify it. -

Was your phone jailbroken or unlocked by someone other than the carrier it was originally locked to before you updated? If so, it's now permanently bricked.
If this is not the case, you should be able to force restore in Recovery Mode:

My IPAD2 failed to download ios 8 via wifi and itunes
I tried to download IOS 8 via wifi and I got an error message that the download failed. I tried to download via ITunes and got the error message network failure. I did this numerous times both ways. My Iphone 5S downloaded fine via wifi.
I have similar problem on an iPad. I have FIOS with 83 meg download speeds. According to apple my download will take 32 hours. They are having a problem and are not addressing it. This is the third day I have been getting this problem. How do we get apple to tell us what is going on. I am willing to cooperate but need to know what to do.

If so, before beginning the download try temporarily disabling your antivirus, anti-adware, anti-spyware, and any other anti-whatever that is required with the insecure OS your computer is running. -
AppleSync Error message after trying to download latest itunes.
After trying to download the latest version of itunes 10.5 to update iphone and ipad with ios5 i now recieve the following error message when windows is downloaded. I am using windows 7 and cannot open google chrome.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
