Aiport Extreme - Email Sync Problem
I recently set up Airport Extreme for my company's wireless router. This was a replacement to a Linksys Wireless Router. While the internet connection seems to be ok, we are having problems getting email updates on iphones, ipads, other electronic devices. When the email program is opened up, it does not show the latest email and when synced, it will pick a random earlier time and only show emails up to that point. We never had this issue using a Linksys router. Is there something I need to change in my settings so email syncs are live??
Hi thanks for the reply! Its a brand new Airport Extreme base station, so 802.11n. It is connected directly to the cable modem, nothing inbetween. As far as I can tell its a router/modem problem as I have reset A.E. many times and re-set it up, the PC can see/connect to the A.E. but it can't access the internet. Ive really no idea what was going on, im typing this from work as obviously I can't get on the net - even though my first post was sent from my G5 at home, this morning THAT wireless connection to the A.E. stopped working and I've no idea why. Ive had the A.E. less than two days and im already thinking about sending it back and getting a newer Netgear router - only if I can't get it working properly. Any advice/help would be much appreciated - I'll be phoning Apple again this evening hoping they can guide me through the entire setup.

Email sync problem between iPad Air and iPhone 6+

I have a user that travels quite a bit. We use Office 365 Enterprise
for our emails. He is reporting email sync issues between iPhone and iPad. Meaning
sometimes he will receive emails on the iPhone but not on the iPad or vice versa.
Both devices use the same AT&T network. Does anyone out there have any
suggestions as to what may be causing the sync problem between devices? I am
not sure if the devices ever have the same emails on the inbox. Does this make
sense? I will be happy to provide any other information if needed.

When using the same POP email account on more than one device, email messages may appear only on the first device that receives them. This occurs when an email client is configured to automatically remove email from the server after an email client has received it. You can configure your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac either to keep a copy of the email on the server, remove it after a certain number of days have passed, or keep it until you move it from your inbox.

Nokia C7: Email sync problem
I have set my email sync time that it starts every day between 8am-8pm but it email (sync every 30 min). The phone is synchronizing outside the hours/8am-8pm) so I'm getting emails while I'm sleeping
How do I solve this?

Anna did not solve my problem.
My C7-00 also does not auto sync. mail.
I have tried several things. Deleted the mailboxes (I have 3) set them up again for several times. Still no solution. I changed the interval everything in between from 5 min. to 4 hrs. Didn' t work.

Email sync problem treo on exchange 2007
i am running a palm treo pro. it worked fine on my company exchange server for months. my company recently upgraded to an 'exchange 2007' server. since then, my emails will not send out. while they appear to transmit (and even sit in the outbox for a second) they do not actually arrive. if i hit send/receive they will sometimes go but will not automatically go if i am in the 'push' mode....the device is also very slow in grabbing emails but they typically do arrive.
contacts, calendar continue to sync fine. i can connect to the internet witout problem too.
it is mainly an issue with emails.
palm even replaced my device and i have basically the same problem.
(i notice that when i am looking at the outlook email page the message at lower left says 'error' during sync process, but then it recovers and the activesync log says it synced successfully.)
any ideas? my company techs cannot come up with a solution.

i have tried it in what seems to me every possible combination of (with contacts, without contacts; with calendar sycn, without it; with other items on the device, with all of the other programs and files deleted back to factory settings; etc etc etc).
the problem is the same: on activesync push email, sent emails disappear (never arrive) and new ones are very slow to arrive into the inbox.

Hi, ok so I just bought a macbook and i've sync'd the email to my imac no problem, but for some reason when I read an email on my macbook it's still showing as unread on my imac, is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance
If it's a POP account then this is proper. Each device handles the mail individually. It should only show as read if it's an IMAP account.

Kin ONEm--email syncing problem
I have a Kin ONEm, and I use email and the Web browser over a WiFi connection. A week or two ago, I started having trouble with the "Email" app (which I have synced to my yahoo email account). When I select "Email", my inbox starts to come up, but then it inexplicably takes me back to the main screen without showing me my inbox.
I have tried to see if I could fix this by deleting this email account from my email settings (with the intention of adding it back in and seeing if it would work then), but it just tells me it is "Deleting & signing out..." but it never finishes doing that.
For now I have been able to get around this problem by checking email through the browser, but I was hoping to eventually get the email issue fixed.
I read a post from someone else who was having this trouble and "fixed" it by going to a Verizon store and having the person reset their phone. I don't want to do that and lose all my contacts and other settings, so if there is a better fix, please let me know.Oh my goodness...Christina, I'm happy you're trying to help out, but please don't assume that things that would work on most other VZW phones will work on the KIN. Unless I'm mistaken, two of the three suggestions you gave will not work.
1) When I connect my KIN to my computer (Widows Vista), the only thing that will recognize it is the Zune software. It does not show up as a normal USB drive that you can simply copy files to/from. Now Zune will certainly allow Erink to transfer his photos, videos, and music. However, I don't know of a way to use it to transfer contacts, which is what he said he was most interested in.
If you know of a driver that will let us use the KIN as a simple attached drive, please let us know. On the other hand, I do recall in some previous topics here that some Verizon stores have the ability to backup and restore contacts on the KIN. But you have to go into the store to do that -- and find store personnel that know about it.
2) Your suggestion to forward text messages to an e-mail address would be fine -- if the KIN had the ability to forward texts. It does not. The only way to do that is to take a screen shot of each "conversation", then you could transfer the resulting jpg images to your computer using Zune. You'd wind up with a bunch of jpg images which you might be able to read, but you couldn't really restore them as text messages.
Once again, we appreciate that VZW reps try to help out here -- but please be more careful to ensure that your advice is valid for the device in question.

Iphone4 Email Syncing problem.
Issue:
Email on phone not being in sync with pop server.
1) eg. 10 emails on server. download emails to phone. read and delete two emails. Deleted email NOT deleted on server, as web browser shows them to still be there after refreshing.
2) 10 emails on server. Phone retrieves emails. Browser deletes 2 emails from server. Refresh the phone, and deleted emails are not removed from phone.
Just upgraded to Iphone 4 from 3Gs. The 3Gs syncing worked perfectly with os3.
SO, is it the Iphone4 or os4? or both?
Anyone have any suggestions?
BTW, if phone configured for IMAP, deleting email from phone give error that it can't move mail to trash folder.So you are giving up on IMAP3 and using POP3? See here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1668

ICloud email sync problem on mac os x mavericks
Hi,
I have a serious problem with my iCloud email on my mac. I have been using iCloud email for few years now and I never had this problem. But I am having the problem after upgrading my iMac to latest mac os x mavericks 10.9.3 couple of months back.
The problem is, when someone sends me an email, it comes to my iCloud mail immediately with no issues. That means if I login to my iCloud mail through a web browser, I see the email there. But that email may not appear to my iMac mailbox. Occasionally some emails arrive but some not. Some emails come lately some not at all.
So the mailbox on my mac is totally unusable because I am sure not all emails are seen there, so I have to keep logging into mail through browser to check if there is a new email.
I am using me.com email address.
Any help is appreciated.

When I sync my ipad 2 email it downloads about 25% of the messages that are on the server (POP3). I know this because I also have email set up on my macbook pro and can see all the messages. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Are you using the same inbound email server for both?
If both emails are hitting the same inbound server, then it can't be the inbound server filtering them.
But the iPad doesn't have the ability to filter. It must be done on the mail server. -
Gmail's email, calendar, and Contacts will not sync and when I try to re-set it up, after deleting it it tries to contact another server my BT Yahoo Mail server, which I no longer use.
Any ideas??

With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Delete and Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Reboot
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

I have a new (Jan 2013) Galaxy 5.0 (android media player not phone) and the email app is receiving emails from my verizon.net account, but seems to be keeping its own outbox and not communicating sent messages with verizon.net. It is using Gingerbread.UEKI8 and Kernel 2.6.35.7 on model YP-G70. Also when I delete messages in my android inbox they still show on the verizon.net account. So when I check on my computer, the android sent messages do not show in the outbox and the android deleted messages still show online. The incoming account settings are incoming.verizon.net on port110 and the outgoing account settings are outgoing.verizon.net on port 587. Any idea why my android and verizon.net online are not syncing completely? Funny thing is, new emails sent to me are showing up on both devices. Thanks in advance for your time.
Back up all data. Archive all messages in the account, then delete it and create a new IMAP account using the same address and password.

E72 old emails syncing problem
Hi, i have got my hotmail account synced to my E72 for quite awhile. But recently i accidentally deleted all my important read emails from the inbox, i tried to retrieve it back from the Deleted Items, but there is just too many of them and it takes time to find it( around 4000+).
So what i did was i deleted that hotmail and i try to sync it again, but however it does not sync back all my read emails, it just sync those new unread ones, even though the old ones still do exist in my hotmail inbox.
Is there anything i can do to get those read emails from my hotmail back into my E72?? Its kind of important as i need to work with those emails. When i sync with my E71 & Mail for Exhange (exchange server 2003), not al mails are downloaded on my device.
Sometimes i have to sync twice or more, and even then not al mails are dnl to the device.
The Mfe version : 2 7 0well.. what I can ofer you is to try manual Sync, not Automatic, and after setting to manual , execute Full Synchronisation
it is also matter if the e-mails have been deleted from the server side..

Email syncs now say "Updated Mar 30", the day I upgraded to Lollipop 5.0. Two days later it is still saying Mar 30. The notification should read the date and time you updated email receiving. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution to this?
We want to make sure your phone is in working order Mb_in_NC. I know it can be difficult when you see different times. What is your make/model of your device? When did it start? Do you have a different time on any other applications?
