Aiport Utility 5.3.1 upgrade invalidates existing configuration
Yesterday I upgraded AirPort Utility to version 5.3.1. Now I can no longer update my configuration. If I just start the utility, click Manual Setup, and then click Update (without making any changes), I get a dialog saying "The IP Address does not appear to be valid. Make sure it is correct and try again." When I click OK, the DHCP tab is displayed. The current setting of DHCP Beginning Address is 192.168.0.2, and the focus is on the "0". Why is this no longer a valid address?
It gets worse. I try to change the 0 to 1 (the full value is now 196.168.1.2). If I then click Update, a Problems tab is displayed saying that I need to correct the Default Host (for NAT), whose current value is 192.168.0.3. However, the 192.168.0 is fixed and it will only allow me to edit the 3. I tried turning off NAT, but it still complains about the Default Host value and won't give me any way to change it. So basically, my current configuration is invalid and there's no way to make it valid. HELP!!!

I just got off of a call to apple's tech support. They told me to reboot the router, using a paper clip to push in the indented button on the back of the router. I did this, and lost all my settings (as expected). The router came back, and preferred to use the range 10.0 for my dhcp settings. I let it do so. I then reset my network name, and my encrypted password. My regular laptops were now happy. I too had needed to set the "default host" in the past, to get my work laptop's security layers to tunnel through the network layers. I found that after resetting everything, this was no longer necessary. So - I do not know it the 192.168 range is still broken. But I am back on track and do not need the default host. I am leaving good enough alone!

I upgraded to Mavericks and other software yesterday. I figured there would be a learning curve. Instead, my Numbers program no longer works. I get a pop-up message: "You need a newer version of Numbers to open this spreadsheet. You can download the newest version of Numbers from the App Store." So, my upgrade is to cost $19.99?
The old version (2009) worked just fine. I believe that 2 + 2 still equals 4.

errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
Maybe just some minor problem, will se what i do with it later today.
!!Fixed now.
Not a big deal, tried to stop X and remove nvidia module but had to move or remove this file
/usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1
to somewhere.
And upgrade of nvidia-utils finished fine then.

Same happened to me.
I never installed anything manually, and I also had that issue.
So the explanation given in the link I gave above is more probable, at least in my case.
Otherwise, simply removing the conflicting file is in my opinion the easiest and safest way. -
is there a capability to save/export the new airport 2TB time capsule settings file when using the iphone/ipad airport utility. set-up wasn't a problem but the "file" button does not exist on the latest airport utility app v6.3 to save the configuration file.

Sounds like you are a bit confused with version numbers.
Latest AirPort Utility version for the iPhone / iPad is 1.3.3. There is no option or capability to export/import settings on the iOS version(s) of AirPort Utility.....although you could take a series of screen shots and save them for future reference.
AirPort Utility 6.3.x is found on a Mac.....not on iPhone / iPad. Export and Import options are found under the File menu in 6.3.x. -

I have set up the preview for the new Azure SQL tiers on both of the subscriptions we have for Azure. The one under my MSDN subscription to and a pay as you go subscription
The pay as you go subscription works fine but when I try to upgrade an existing Azure sql database or create a new one on my MSDN subscription it doesn't give me the option of the new tiers.
Using the new portal it says I need to sign up to the preview, but I already have and when I go to try to add a new subscription to the preview for Azure SQL it says all my active subscriptions are on the preview.
Any idea what the issue could be?

When Connected through the Apple Base station I have perfect internet wireless capability thru-out house.

I am searching for a good concept of upgrading different existing applications.
In the last months I build an application which contains the look and feel of my company and some basic features like a dialog for editing the navigation, help texts or users.
We use this application for some different projects, so that we do not have to implement those basic things several times.
Now there are some application in production status and the basic application was edited. Now I search for a solution how I can upgrade those existing production applications.
I do not want to create the whole application new.
Could it be a solution to edit the apex tables directly?
I hope you can understand what I want to do and I hope you have good ideas or solutions how that could be done.

I am trying to install a second airport express to extend my network. When I use the aiport utility it does not see the second airport express.
Suggest that you perform a Factory Default Reset as follows:
Pull the Express from power
Wait a few moments
Hold in the reset button and keep holding it an additonal 8-10 seconds while you plug the Express back in to power
Release the reset button and allow 40-45 seconds for the Express to restart
Apple's instructions to do what you want are here:
It will often help to temporarily connect an Ethernet cable from your Mac to the AirPort Express for the setup. Once the Express is configured, you can disconnect the Ethernet cable and move the Express to the desired location.

Restart your AirPort Base Station or other router if that's what you have. Unplug it and allow a moment or two for it to reset before plugging it back in again.
If that does not work, try resetting your network settings: on the iPad and iPhone, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, select your network then "Forget this Network". Select the network again, provide its password, and verify you can connect.
If that does not work, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Select your network again as above.
If that does not work, "hard reset" your AirPort Base Station, assuming you are using one and not some third party product. You will need to reconfigure it using AirPort Utility. -

Your tagline has listed AirPort for Windows. Per chance are you running Windows on your MacBook either via Boot Camp or a virtual machine? ... and this is where you are unable to use the AirPort Utility?

Acrobat X1, Purchased upgrade, failed as no valid product to upgrade from existed (my mistake but want my money back!). So purchased Acobat X1 std, install seemed OK, but does not work as I continue to get the upgrade screen saying no valid product to upgrade from? So now I have spent lots $$ and nothing working. Thanks for this; my issue is that I have now supposedly purchased a retail version of Acrobat X1 (i.e just spent more $$, after the upgrade attempt to Acrobat X1 failed), and while this feigns an OK install, it fails in someway to override the "Upgrade Acrobat X1 version". E.G. once I load up to read an acrobat file the "upgrade version" executes/intercepts and ask for serial numbers and check for a previous qualifying version which I do not have, (BUT what I do have is the current retail version of acrobat X1 which is not recognised)
Do I need to uninstall and start over again? (I am reluctant to do this as I am sure serial number issues will arise, as I assume downloaded file will be cleaned up etc, and I am not spending more money trying again!)
