Air 3.0 Support

Is there going to be any official support for Air 3.0 in Flash Pro?  It is unclear how to take advantage of some of the new features such as captive runtime for android or native extensions.  It would be great if Adobe could communicate either tutorials or update timelines.  I can compile 3.0 apps using the folder renaming method but it is unclear how to do the above features which allow Air apps to do much more.

I have also discovered that they have moved the audio books storage on the iPad from iBooks app (Audio Books Collection) where they have been stored up until now and are now to be found in the iTunes app under audiobooks, selection on the bottom row. So much hastle why can't they just say so right upfront on Apple iTunes Audio books?

Okay, as I'm working through this I see that I have to add the "Admin" account to each file with "read only" permission.  Simply changing the "everyone" account access does nothing.
So how do I change the permissions settings in iPhoto or Aperture to give each exported file the desired permissions?  I cannot locate a setting in the iPhoto or Aperture applications.
Also, I added a password to the user account.  It did not change how files are output.

  • Does Adobe AIR for Android support C2DM?

Does Adobe AIR for Andoird support the Android Cloud to Device Messaging Framework (C2DM)?
for more information on C2DM see:
    http://code.google.com/android/c2dm/index.html

It isn't supported right now. It should be supportable (you will have to write native code) in an upcoming release. Same for iOS/Android notifications.

latest version of Safari that uses webkit  supports MATHML.
When can the AIR HTML component supports MATHML support for viewing the expressions.

Hmm. Don't know I'd go so far as to say that. Here's a more complete picture: "Webkit has an experimental MathML implementation which is enabled in Safari but the support is still limited and the rendering quality not very high. This implementation has not passed Google's security review and so is not integrated yet in Chrome."
MathML support is far from complete in Safari and other Webkit browsers.

  • It appears that Adobe Air does not support persistent HTTP connections?

As far as we can tell, Adobe Air does not support persistent HTTP connections via KEEPALIVE
Thus a new connection has to be established to the server, making certain types of network intensive applications slow.
Can anyone confirm if this is correct - is there any way to get Adobe Air to support KEEPALIVE and maintain persistent server connections?

  • MacBook Air used to support 2 external displays

My MacBook Air used to support 2 external (ViewSonic) displays before I upgraded to Mountain Lion.  Now it will only support one.  It will detect the one using The thunderbolt port but not the one using the USB port.
Can anyone suggest a fix... It is half the computer it used to be.

Well it used to before I upgraded to Mountain Lion.  One wend in the thunderbolt/display port and the other one went in either USB.  It ran two 24 inch veiwsonic monitors at work and 2 different ones at home without a single hiccup.  Now it only 'sees' the one plugged into the thunderbolt port through the display adapter...

  • Why my mac air don't support the dock library version 1.0, if this needs the system mac os x 10.5 or higher, and my is os x 10.7.5?

Why my mac air don't support the dock library version 1.0, if this needs the system mac os x 10.5 or higher, and my is os x 10.7.5?

For Snow Leopard you require version 2.1.4. However AFAIK you can't buy this from Apple any more: the current version requires Lion 10.7.5 at minimum.
Amazon are offering v.2.1.1 in the UK - this is not compatible with Snow Leopard either but you should be able to apply an upgrade to 2.1.4. -
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL913
I can't guarantee this will work. You may be able to get advice in the Aperture forum.
Your only other alternative is to upgrade your Mac to Lion 10.7.5 if it us compatible, and buy the current version.
    The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
To purchase it you will have to ring Apple at the number given at the bottom left of this page.

  • HT6510 Mid-2011 Macbook Air doesn't support Air Drop/Continuity/Handoff?

Why does my mid-2011 Macbook Air not support Air Drop/Continuity/Handoff?  It has Bluetooth 4.0, which is what I thought was the main requirement for getting these devices to work together. I also have an iPhone 6 Plus and a 4th gen iPad.

If you check your "System Information", it will tell you if Handoff is supported:
Click on  > About This Mac > System Report...
Under Hardware, click Bluetooth and check the "Handoff Supported" line

When a problem with connectivity occurs, and it apears to be aircard related, is there a number for help to call on holidays when there is no service according to the taped message? I’m afraid we do not have an emergency support line for air card support. Are you currently using AT&T Digital Life for your remote surveillance systems?
