  • Generate apk file for android.

    Why is my account with Creative Clound can not develop for android but only for Ipad. How can I develop for android? I would not want to pay more for a subscription plan Digital Publishing Suite to power. I do not have a very large volume to justify a new subscription.

    Thanks for the quick response. I'll look for another solution for my case. As my volume is not large enough to justify the expense. Should have plans for a small publication or situations.

  • How to obtain an acceptable APK file for Google Play ?

    There is the steps of my trying in my Google Play console :
    1) With OpenSSL I've made a PEM file :
    openssl pkcs12 -in certificatCreeSurFBuilder.p12 -out certificatCreeSurFBuilder.pem -nodes
    With Notepad I've update the content of the PEM file : I've add the key provided between the markups of the "RSA Public Key", the public key from Google which I've divided the text to 64 caracters per row (for 64-base encoded).
    So with OpenSSL I've made a PKCS12 file :
    openssl pkcs12 -export -in certificatCreeSurFBuilder.pem -inkey certificatCreeSurFBuilder.pem -out certificatPourGooglePlay.p12
    2) Finally I've uploaded the PKCS12 file using my console at https://play.google.com/apps/publish, but I've got this error message wich doesn't light me : "Import error. Try to import an other file" !
    Moreover, I'd like to know if I would have a best result if I'd buy a certificate provided by a reputed organism, e.g. Verisign or Thatwe ?
    NB : I have indicated my personnal datas in "bag attributes" labels named CN and C (CN=myName and C=myCountry), at the first step of primary certificate creation, in the FlashBuilder wizard tool. So is it usefull or is it bad in this case to indicate these datas ?
    Thanks for help.

    I write about my new tests,  I've found this good Google documentation URL : http://developer.android.com/tools/publishing/app-signing.html ;-).
    I don't know if this method is more valid or even with my first method, but I downloaded the tools and I followed the method to create a keystore, with no success :
    I've created a keystore/ pair of keys, it's Ok :
      keytool -genkey -v -keystore certificatAutoSigne-2013.keystore -alias certificatAutoSigne-2013 -keyalg RSA -keysize 2048 -validity 10000
    But I don't understand where can I add the Google public key to sign my APK file, because the keystore isn't a text file !
    Secondly I've error message with this command line :
      jarsigner -verbose -sigalg SHA1withRSA -digestalg SHA1 -keystore certificatAutoSigne-2013.keystore MyAPKFile
    Obviously an APK file already signed can't be re-signed. I don't know how to creat APK file no signed with ADT, do you know ?

  • Bug(?) with StageOrientationEvent.ORIENTATION_CHANGE in air 3 .1.0.488 for android

    Hello,
    In my app on a certain view, when the user rotates the device, the layout is dependent on the dimensions of the screen (in pixels).
    So what I do is listen for the StageOrientationEvent.ORIENTATION_CHANGE event and in the eventhandler I check the screen.height and screen.width property to layout my components
    Yesterday I discovered that this was running ok on my device but not on the device of one of my collegues. He was running the air 3.1 while I was on the 2.6 version. So I upgraded to 3.1 and have exactly the same problem as he has.
    After some investigation it turns out that the StageOrientationEvent.ORIENTATION_CHANGE event is fired ok but that the screen.heigt and screen.width properties are not yet updated (so if you go to portrait the width is the landscape width and the height is the landscape height).
    As a work around I think I should get the display dimensions on the view init and use the currentstate to determine wether the display is in landscape or portrait mode or is there a better solution

    I know this is old, but I just found a solution in my case, and figured i'd share.
    Instead of listening for "stageOrientationEvent.ORIENTATION_CHANGE", listen for "Event.RESIZE".
    Worked like freakin' pixie dust for me.
    Hope this helps someone!

  • Phonegap integration. Building for Android device

    hey all,
    i'm trying to build an apk file for android device.
    Easy with Dreamweaver yes.
    Difficulty comes when you try to add some specific functionality : for instance you may want to post some stuff on the user 's facebook wall.
    PhoneGap provides a plugin for that : https://github.com/davejohnson/phonegap-plugin-facebook-connect
    But this plugin needs some addional stuff from the android SDK. It needs some java classes, namely the facebook android sdk : https://github.com/facebook/facebook-android-sdk
    Has anybody any hint on how we could include that stuff in dreamweaver installation?
    In my opinion we need to rebuild android.jar (not tried yet) but there may be another solution to tweak Dreamweaver. Or has anybody another solution to post on facebook/twitter from a native apk coming from a jquery/phonegap project under Dreamweaver?
    thanks in advance for reactions/advices/...
    Loic

    I did that on a mac :-)
    however it was a standard eclipse project. I had to include the correct JARS (facebook+phonegap) in the library path and everything was fine quite easily. I mean there was no additional SDK to install due to OSX.
    What I remember too is this: there is no facebook app installed on the emulator. It means when you run your app on it and try to connect to facebook through phonegap, the browser will open and ask for authentication. On your device, if the FB app is installed a nice popup will open and ask for authentication and authorization (or just confirmation if you are already authenticated).
    in conclusion there's no need to buy a mac for that. Be sure to check phonegap forum and post your problem. Phonegap releases have evolved a lot and they are quite responsive.

    Is there any way to convert a folio file into an apk file (for Android) for free? Sorry for my english.

    Good things dont come free..
    You can still publish to android using Adobe DPS pro/Ent licence.
    Also just to add you can use adobe content viewer to view the content on the Android device but not generate a APK

  • How to divide and load parts of Large Adobe AIR app for Android

    Hi!
    I want to create an app for Android but it will quite large. It will be larger than the 50MB offered by Google Play Store. This means that I need to find a way and break the app and load parts of it when I need them. Imagine it like minigames inside a bigger app.
    It is not clear to me how to achieve this since every time on AIR, I can export and APK file for a mini-game let's say. Can I later download APKs and integrate them into my main app? How would this be possible? Another question that I have is: In order for a SWF to play on my app, it needs to be built by AIR for Android?
    The best case would be to download content from In-App purchases and integrate in my app.
    But these things are not so clear.
    Thanks in advance for your help and support.

    I don't know how your application is structured, but if you can split sections off into separate SWFs(plain AS3 document) then you could host those section SWFs online and require the user to download them on first run.
    You could use the FileReference object to download the SWFs, save them to the File.applicationStorageDirectory, and then display/load them up with the Loader object when needed from the app storage directory. You would possibly need to check to see if the files are present at every boot of the app though as a user could "Clear Data" or "Clear Cache" of the app in the Settings of their device and one or both of those could/would delete the downloaded files.

  • Versioning of multiple APKs for Android

    Recently, with AIR 14, we announced x86 support for AIR applications. In this post, we explain how should developers manage the binary upload on Google Play Store for ARM and x86 binaries. Android devices are available with three kind of architectures - ARM, x86 and devices which support both x86 and ARM architectures (Eg: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1). AIR SDK (14.0.0.125 beta onwards) allows developers to create separate APK files for ARM and x86 architectures. And Google Play Developer console provides CPU architecture (ABI) as a filter criteria to support multiple APKs for the same application. The way Adobe AIR developers should make use of this filter criteria would depend on the packaging mode - captive or shared.
    For Apps packaged with Captive mode
    Please take a look at the following documentation. AIR developers should follow the same guidelines, as are mentioned for native applications.
    http://developer.android.com/google/play/publishing/multiple-apks.html
    Assigning a higher versionNumber  (in application descriptor) for the x86 version of apk would ensure that the Google Play serves x86 binary to devices with both x86 and ARM support,  thereby resulting in better performance.
    For Apps packaged with Shared mode
    After the recent release of x86 support in AIR, Play Store will have two different binaries for AIR Runtime app– one for ARM devices, and another for x86 devices. For devices which can run both, ARM binary version would be preferred because that used to get downloaded even before we introduced x86 support. And we plan to continue with the same preference to ensure that shared apps dependent on AIR runtime aren’t affected. To align with AIR Runtime app, applications packaged in shared mode should also keep their x86 based binary with lower versionNumber. With this approach, if you face any performance related issues on devices which support both the processors, then you can opt for captive mode of packaging.
    The table below summarizes what version gets downloaded on device with different processors type.
    ARM Device
    x86 Device
    Device supporting both x86 and ARM
    Runtime.apk
    ARM version
    x86 version
    ARM version
    Captive App
    ARM version
    x86 version
    x86 version
    Shared App
    ARM version
    x86 version

    -Thanks
    Adobe AIR Team

    It won't replace it if
    1) You are in Advanced Mode.....
    2) Your Version Numbers are different....
    I think replied to your other thread. If you are using captive runtime included in your app, the app version of the 86x needs to be higher.... if not the ARM version needs to be higher....

  • APK FILE ON ON DPS APP BUILDER

    I have create an andoid app in the dps builder.
    I am done ok with the certificates and all the procedures , and i want to dowload the apk fie to test it.In my builter there is only one apk file named android installer .apk.
    As i have seen in all tutorials in Adobe tv I should get 2 apk files.one for the developer and one for the store.But i only get one file
    Has this changed and now gives one apk file or i there a mistake by me?
    Help please....

    iOS apps include both development (.ipa) and distribution (.zip) files for testing and submitting. For Android/Amazon apps, there is only one .apk file for testing and submitting.

  • How can I use a file in flash cs6 that I made in flash cs5.5 air for android

    I have made an app in in air for android in flash cs5.5 air for android, and I want to edit it in cs6 and play it in cs6.
    But if I put Ctrl+Enter I got an error: createWin process failed with error 2: system couldn't find the file. I think the problem is that I'am using air for android 2.6 version in flash cs5.5 and version 3.2 in flash cs6. I have searched the web and found out that you can add older air versions using the sdk manager and I have tried it but first I get the error that the version of the sdk I am trying to install is not valid and after some files that I added to the sdk folder I get this error:Only SDK higher than version 3.4.2540 may be added.
    I there a possible way to update the air for android for an fla or apk? Or how can I let my originally file work fine in flash cs6??

    system couldn't find the file
    If you can´t get a more specific hint why your project can´t compile then I can think of some reasons theis error might occur
    1.You had files included besides the swf, like videos, audio files, xml files, that are not present in the place air expects them to be
    2.somewhere in your createWin functions there is a class import needed that isn`t present in 3.2 anymore, for example some classes or functions from classes that were valid in 2.6 are not any more in 3.2
    3. to achieve better eror logging, allow for debugging in the publishing options and see what specific lines in your code throw the error
    4.any air app needs a cert file, this needs to be created once, if you migrated to e new system it might be you never created that file which air expects to even begin the compiling process
    once you isolate the problem, report back

  • The Error Message 'Application descriptor file cannot be parsed' shows when compiling (Ctrl + Enter) Adobe AIR for Android applications on Flash Professional CS5.5

    The Error Message 'Application descriptor file cannot be parsed' shows when compiling (Ctrl + Enter) Adobe AIR for Android applications on Flash Professional CS5.5
    This is happening for most of the pupils and staff at our school and they are unable to complete their work.
    This also happens on a fresh copy of windows and CS5.5 without any updates and also with all latest updates.
    I have tried it on 32-bit and 64-bit CS5, Windows, Air and Java with the same error every time.
    There are a small minority of users where this works fine for them with no issue.
    I have tried re-setting user profiles.
    I have tried a local admin and domain admin account with the same issue
    I have noticed however that if the file is moved to the shared area it will compile. If it is on their documents area it will not compile. The users have full control in both locations. This is fine for staff but we are unable to give full control or modify access to the shared area for the pupil's
    I have been through the online support section and it directed me to phone Adobe Customer care who informed me that all support has been discontinued for CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 and they will only support creative cloud.
    Any ideas what to try next? There is no other information about this error and I cannot work out what is causing it.

    I have tried and  able to package an apk using your XML file.Could you please make sure your XML file starting from line 1 and coloumn 0.Any space will results in the error (Application Descriptor file cannot be parsed)

  • Android APK Expansion Files for Apps over 50MB

    Hello Support,
    We are building a new version of an app pubished on PlayStore (built with Adobe AIR) and need to embed higher resolution images. This results in my app apk file size which is over 100 MB.
    Google allows to upload apks that are <= 50 MB. For apps which require more storage capacity than this limit, expansion files are needed.
    Can you please inform us about how to incorporate these expansion files with an AIR app?
    Is there a native extension or a built-in feature to prepare the expansion files and surpass the limit?
    I've looked in the forums & there is no definite answer or solution.
    If this is not possible at present, can you please add it to the wishlist for the next version of Adobe AIR SDK? Or perhaps, release a free/paid native-extension which enables this.
    Thanks!

    Yes I got it working this morning, honestly I've got no idea what did the trick, as I did nothing. My only guess right now is I reuploaded new versions of my APK and OBB files on the Android Developer Console yesterday, and maybe it could have taken this long to "refresh".
    Basically right now if I install a fresh apk on the device, it will downloads and unzip my obb. If I kill the app and relaunch, it validates if my obb is still there and continues, when before a simple message box with my app name would stay displayed forever.
    Here's my app code based on the exemple from http://extensionsforair.com/extensions/apk-expansion-files/ :
    public class Main extends Sprite
                        public function Main():void
                                  stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;
                                  stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;

  • Help - Loading Remote XML/PHP File On AIR For Android

    Hi guys
    Just a quick question here. I'm developing an android app which requires a small amount of text data to be retrieved via a remotely hosted on a web server.
    It works fine on a desktop machine but when it comes to testing it on a cellphone it refuses to load the XML file.
    The data file I'm using is a simple XML file for now, but eventually it will be replaced with a PHP file which generates XML.
    I'm uisng Adobe Flash Pro CS6 and have set the target to AIR 3.4 for Android. The INTERNET setting on the android permissions has been checked.
    The code is a simple URLLoader as follows:
    ============================
    private var _appDataXML:XML;
    private var _xmlLoader = new URLLoader();
    _xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, _onXMLLoaded, false, 0, true);
    _xmlLoader.load(new URLRequest("http://www.example.com/data.xml"));
    private function _onXMLLoaded(e:Event):void
         _appDataXML = new XML(e.target.data);
         _xmlLoader.removeEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, _onXMLLoaded);
    ============================
    Is there any reason why this works on a desktop but fails to work when tested on a cellphone? Could I have missed something?
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Thanks for the response. I did as you asked and looked at the internet permissions which by the
    way was already checked.
    I then managed to solve this issue in a very bizarre way. I originally wrote the app in Flash CS5.
    I recently purchased a subscription to Flash CS6 and after recompiling under CS6 it still exhibited
    the same behaviour. But when I unchecked and then rechecked the internet permissions the app
    somehow fixed itself and is now working.
    Not sure what's going on here but it all seems OK now. Thanks!
