Air 3.9 kills appendChild ! someone save 'the children' !
Air3.9 is buggy when parseing xml - when i use appendChild it arbitrarily won't see something it would find just fine in previous versions.
I can't roll back to the previous versions though because of the 'microphone access' bug that fails any app submitted to the app-store.
HELP . I realllly rely on my boring xml data !

thank you for your fast reply. I tested an empty app on iOS 7.0.2, compiled with the Air 3.9 release from 10.12.13 (yesterday). The app restarts, when I switch between Safari and the app. Is this a feature or a bug?

when i open sites in safari the page opens fine if it is not a pdf based page.
Once i open a site that has a link to another page that is a pdf based page the page comes up as a black screen with no info showing

I have tried the safari help site but to no avail, does anyone have a solution to thid problem. (I do have the abode ofr mac program loaded)If you delete all the Adobe Reader stuff it will probably fix this. For almost everything, the Apple pdf handling works better.

When I try open a .pdf file my Adobe Reader 11 only allows the download / save opening the related window and don't show me both options 1) open with ... and 2) save as.... probably someone flagged the choise... always perform this way ....
Could some one give help and let me know where I can probably find the settings option that allows me to change and switch to previous situation where it was possible to decide time to time how to proceed either opening the file or saving it ??

I'm having a problem sending a word doc via email. I have Mac for Office 08, and I'm using Mavericks OS. When I save the document as a .doc or .docx, and send it to someone, (doesn't matter if its safari, chrome or firefox or on my yahoo or gmail accounts) they receive it as a blank document. Yet, when I open it on my Mac, it has a "word" icon and I can read it. How do I fix?

You need to copy everything form your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
The iphone is not a storage/backup device. it simply mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced. -
What are the security settings to lock down a form with fillable fields and yet allow someone with Reader to fill in the fields as will as save the form and print it?
You want to allow someone to open your document and fill out the form (in the fields you have created), but not change or edit the form, right? Here's the answer - assuming you are using Acrobat Pro and someone will be opening the PDF using at least Acrobat Reader 9 and up:
Tools > Protection > Encrypt < Encrypt with Password
Answer YES to change the security.
A new window opens:
Do NOT select Document Open (or that will require a password to open the document.)
Select: Permissions (Check the box next to "Restrict editing and printing of the document.")
Change the following 2 settings from the drop-down box:
Printing Allowed: Select High Resolution
Changes Allowed: Select Commenting, filling in form fields, and signing signature fields
Leave selected: "Enable text access for screen reader devices for the visually impaired"
Change Permissions Password (insert a strong password)
Leave all other settings alone in "Options"
OK - OK
Re-enter the Permissions Password (the one you entered above)
OK - OK
Save the PDF to apply the security [notice that (SECURED0 will appear after the document title] -

I had to report an shady Imessage to the police. I tryed to find a way to save or send it for evidence when when needed. there doesn't seem to be a way. I was able to save the photo this nut sent me. You've heard a picture is whorth a thousand words. The photo was a hand holding a pistol with their hand on the triger. they spoke in launage I could not translate. I tryed to translate it in google traslate and wouldn't work. I have PSD. my younger sister was shot to death with a handgun back in 1987. So this kind of photo said something to me and it was very frightening to me. I reported it to the police. In future updates I would to Apple create a way to save an imessage for matters such as these. Thank you very much.

You can easily take a screenshot of the Messages screen.
Hold down the home button and briefly tap the on/off switch. That will save an image with exactly what you can see on the screen into your Camera Roll. -
If someone includes a photo in the email body message (I use yahoo), if I right click on the image to save it to my computer, I only get the option to save it as a firefox document - secure download. If I save it as such and then click on the link, it takes me to a page full of weird code.

I would like to be able to right click on the photo as save the image to my computer.If Firefox doesn't saves the image with a valid image file extension like .jpg or .png then you need to add that file extensions yourself. You can rename already saved images and change the file extension to get working images. Add quotes around the name while renaming ("image.jpg") if Windows hides the current file extension or refuses to change the name (i.e you get image.jpg.html).
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

I have a form that I am sending out and compiling in the response file. These forms I also want to be able to update after receiving them (when I have them in the response file).
But when I do the updates I need to re-save the response file with another name? The strange thing is that sometimes I can just update and save exactly the way I want it. But most of the time I get the message "This file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."
Can someone please help me to figure out how to solve this issue. I know that I am the only one that has the file open. I am encountering the same issue in both Acrobat Pro 9 and Acrobat Pro X. (File was created in Acrobat Pro 9)Good day!
A simple Paste does not work for you?
It should place the clipboard content as a new Layer which you can then move around.
If there is any chance that the elements need to be scaled, rotated etc. I would prefer to place them as Smart Objects (File > Place …) and do the masking that is specific to the images themselves in those.

How to save the data in a Subvi
Dear people,
I am currently making a program which is calling with a Call by Reference Node. after that, I read out data (in this case an array of clusters) and I am writing new data to the cluster of the subvi.
My problem is that the new data isn't stored in the subVI. If I close my Caller VI and i take a look in the SubVI all the 'new' data is erased and it seems to me that the program returned to its Default Values...
How can I make a program so that the new data is stored in the subVI after I called it. I tried already with a invoke Node and then as method: Make all current Values Default. Actually, the SubVI is in the wrong state to execute that node...So I don't know how to go...

I am making a test program which is testing a device. There are around 400 different tests, and it is important that all the tests go in a sequential order.
Before I actually run a test I need to give up some parameters. The parameters are been given in a mainprogram.
so, if I load my main program, it is scanning which tests are available. From each test I would like to see the paramters in my main-program. I am doing this by putting it into a cluster, which is been read-out by my main program.
I also would like to change the paramters, and then save the paramters back into the SubVI. For Example, In my main prgram I can set if a test is enabled or disabled.
After setting the paramters the subvi closes. At the begin of testing, I scan all the tests outputs using a 'Call by Reference' node and I look if they are enabled or not. If yes, I make up an array of paths and after that all the tests which are in that array are been called and executed. the results aretransferred back to the main program, stored, and finally written in a TSV file (Tab Separated Value file.)
the reason for a dynamically load is that in the case of someone wants to add a new test, it is dificult to change the mainprogram. In other words, the program which I am writing is for people who don't know much about labview, so I want to make it as user-friendly as possible. I am planning to make a kind of an wizard that helps the engineers to add tests.
the second reason is that there are different devices which needs to be tested. If I load all my tests in one time, that means that for each different device I have to load all the tests. that means that I have to load over 5000 tests in one time, which is not so nice.
