AIR application performance is very bad(slow)

I have an AIR application developed using Flash CS3. The
issue is application performance is very bad(slow) when the OS
(Windows XP) display property setting is in 16 bit color mode. When
the display property setting is changed to 32 bit color mode
applications performance is good and faster.
Application has used lots of color gradients, tween
animations.
System Configuration:
Windows XP (SP2)
1 GB RAM
INTEL P4 , 1.5 GHz Processor Speed.
Can any one explain that is there any issue with Flash Player
or AIR runtime.

I have developed a Vc application that when i run it directelly from the application server or preview from VC it run smooth, but after importing into production it is extremally slow.
The users access the application through the companies DNS and loadbalancer.

You may need to reset your network settings, making sure the network you're accessing is stable: tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
If your iPhone still can't connect to App Store, tap Settings > iTunes & App Store > tap the Apple ID and sign out > later, sign in with your Apple ID.

How to improve bsp application performance

are you sure that it is the BSP that is taking much time do show ?
Isn't it any Function Modules, Method, or other that is triggered everytime this BSP is launched ?
You see, maybe the performance is related with ABAP code (SELECTS, authorizations, etc...) but not with the BSP itself.
I strongly doubt that a BSP takes 15 minutes to render.
It has to be something else.
Have you made performance analysis ?
Traces ?
Where exactly is this application taking more time ?
Is it on a method call ?
On a function module ?
What type of BSP is this ?
Custom or Standard ?
Does this happen with all your BSPs, or just this one ?
Is this a MVC type BSP ?
Or a simple BSP ?
What does your BSP page contain inside ?
Too many includes ?

ADF 11g application performance

Hi,
We are developing using ADF 11.1.1.3.0.
The application basically contains pages having master-Detail tables.
On few pages we are displaying 20 tables, these pages performance is very bad. They take 5 mins to load the complete page with all empty tables. A simple search operation on these pages takes around 7 mins.
We have done View object tuning for all the VOs getting used on these pages, but still they are slow.
Please advice us on how to improve the performance...

We are using task flows to bind different pages. When we click on show detail item, containing the task flow as a region, it takes 5 mins to display the jsff. Intially we just show empty tables and search criteria present in the jsff. Only the jsff having more master-detail tables are slow.
In database, the queries are not taking much time to execute, they all are tuned.
We are not using any middle tier, the application is just based on ADF BC components. The following are the settings we followed in tuning VOs:
Each table in the page shows a maximum of 7 records at a time.
Vo tuning:
All Rows: in Batches of 11
Query Optimizer: FIRST_ROWS(10)
Range Size: 11
RangeSize in Page Def="10"

Flex iPhone Application Performance issue

I have developed mobile application for iPhone, iPad, and Android using flash builder 4.5.1. iPhone application performance is very slow compared to iPad version and Android even though the code set is same for all the versions.
Can anybody help how to improve the performance on iPhone?

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

Jdev 11g application is running very slow.

I have deployed the application on Solaris OS, Weblogic 10.3.2 and JDev 11g.
Application is running very slow, means each page is taking time to launch.
Server setup is as follows:
8 cpu's
6gb of memory
8gb swap
15gb /apps
20gb /logs
Please let me know if I need to set any parameters at server level to improve the application performance.

Oh, yes, of course, your /logs partition should be 22.25 GB instead of 20 ;) (that was a joke before you run off and ask for more space)
To amplify what Timo said, you've provided actually no information whatsoever that would help anyone even begin to know what is causing the performance problem. Have you looked at the EM screens? Have you turned on logging to see if it's the database perhaps? You need to do much more diagnosis.

I had a look at the DCM query performance in PH1 system and figured out
that most of the time is spent at the LIME layer of database. The
following LIME tables are having far too many entries and is causing
the bottleneck during the query execution.
/LIME/NLOG_QUAN - 38,165,467
/LIME/PN_ITEM - 19,116,518
/LIME/PN_ITEM_TB - 19,154,124
These tables are storing the historical information about LIME(stock)
updates. Since these table grow with each change/update of stock
information, it will slow down the performance of the system over a
period of time. And to avoid the slow responses, the tables should
ideally be archived on a periodic basis to keep the data volume as
minimal as possible. You may have to discuss with the Business to
determine the number of days of LIME record you would want to retain
in the system. I would strongly recommend you to consider the LIME
archival retaining the minimum days (<=60 days) of historical
information. You can find more information about the Lime Archival

My Mackbook Air is performing much slower than what it used to be.. What could be the possible reasons and solutions??
It takes so much time to load pages and to open open applications. Previously, I thought it is just the internet, but I have tried it at so many different places. It's still the same. Even the apps takes a lot more time to open up. I have tried repairing my disk, but there wasn't any problem with the disk.

Try to investigate what is the problem. Try running for example STATSPACK, gathering statistics for application schema
There is no golden rule: my application is running slowly - do these steps and it will fly.
You have to investigate what is the bottleneck in your system and try to improve it. You can use statspack as a start
becasue it is quite easy. Also ask yourself question if your application was performing good yesterday if yes wheat was changed from yesterday

One possible solution would be to organise your inbox into folders.
Its never relly good on any system to have one folder that has everything in it.
Try going to you web gui for that mail account and organise your folders and move mails from your inbox into corresponding folders for better organisation.
Several folders containing the same amount of one folder will usually load a little quicker as the folder may not be accessed to download its content unless veiwed.
So having 10 folders with organised content, and you inbox as an area thats to hold only new emails would work much much quicker with imap.
Most imap servers will only update the contents of a folder when its veiwed.
