Air Apps filtering on the Android Market  ?

Hi we have just launched our KIDO'Z TV app on the market
and we are getting reports from some users that they can't see the app on the Market
This include users with
Samsung Galaxy S
Acer Liquied
That both have froyo 2.2 and as far we understand they do have the right processor armv7
Any info about that will be highly appriciated

Can we ask you kindly to download the app from http://kidoz.net/air/kidozTV.apk
And let us if you can run it
As for ' sign we have tested it and this is not the issue as we can find KIDOZ with the Desire and the Nexus
Thanks all for the help, we hope we can find a solution fast

  • Adobe Air is NOT at the android market

Hi, I'm having big problems when trying to install adobe air for android.
It's not at the android market. I tried scanning a bar code, searching with the phone, downloading an Air app that directs you to the market and searching in my pc in google, but all the links go to the same place: no Air.
I also tried installing the apk that comes with the Air SDK but it tells me that I have an older version of something.
Does anyone have any idea of what could be wrong?
Thanks in advance, I'm quite desperate, I have a Motorola Droid and some games to make!

The Android Market only shows applications that are compatible with your phone. I don't know the history of the Droid, is it possible that you have an older version that doesn't meet the minimum system requirements?

  • How can I publish a tablet size only app to the android market using Flash CS5.5?

I've developed an app to run on a tablet and would like to sell it in Googles Android Maket.    I uploaded the .apk file to the android market however, the settings indicate that the app will work on small to large screen sizes.
Is there anyway I can specify that the app is only suitable for large (tablet) size devices?  I believe there are some tags in the <manifest> section, which I think must be part of the .apk package Flash creates.
    <supports-screens
    android:smallScreens="true"
    android:normalScreens= "true"
    android:largeScreens="true"
    android:xlargeScreens="true"
    android:anyDensity="true" />
Can I alter these tags manually somewhere or is there some other way to specify the device size?

If you publish folio as Public/free then it will appear in app library and users can download folio and read folio content. You can test folio in ACV.
If you publish folio as Public/retail then it will only appear in library once associated in-apppurchase is approved by Apple. You can test folio in developer.ipa.
Woraround: You can create test app and keep title id as your application account in whch you published your folio and test developer.ipa. If folio is working fine in test app then publish it in LIve app.

I can not install the firefox for android from the android market. It is showing me that the app is incompatible with my device and no other information is provided. I am not sure whats the problem with that ! Is it incompatible with the device or the android version ?
Mine is LG P500 with version Froyo 2.2.2. Any help ?
I was waiting to surf web with firefox from my phone for a long time. can anyone please let me know any known solution to it.

The mobile version of Firefox for Android requires a processor that supports the ARMv7 architecture, the LG Optimus P500 does not meet that requirement, it supports the ARMv6 architecture.

  • Getting Firefox Mobile from a location other than the android market

I love firefox and would like to use it on my android tablet a Viewsonic VB730.
I realize this is not in the supported device list but would like to give it a try anyway.
The issue is that the VB730 does not have the Android Market app on it.
Is there another location I can get Firefox for Android? ( Perhaps Amazon.com ??? )
    Thanks
    Greg Richter

You can use http://bit.ly/fennecftp to download from outside the market. You will need to check back every 6 weeks to install the latest version. There is no automatic updates outside the market.

  • The air app cannot detect the new added camera

i made a desktop air-app. the problem is when i unpluged my usb camera and start the air app . the app detect the existed cameras with Camera.names.length = 2; and then i pluged another usb camera and use the Camera.names.length to detect the new camera, but the result is still 2 , not the 2 existed camera with the new added one which the total is 3. then i close the air-app and start it again ,this time the camera.names.length is 3. why ? the air-app just cannot detect the new added camera? the only way the air-app can detect the new added camera is restart the app?

Air ow flash player for that matter won't detect camera added at runtime. It will detect if you remove the camera while you were capturing images from the camera. You can try to scan for camera suing a timer and see if it detects it then.
There is also a not so documented flash.media.scanHardware() method, which should force a hardware scan. I did not used it yet so can't vouch for it.

  • LiveProfile is now available in the Android Market - BlackBerry Messenger BBM Alternative

LiveProfile is available in the Android Market for those interested. LiveProfile is a mobile messenger for Android, BlackBerry, and iPhone devices. It supports BBM-like messaging and many great features which I am sure you will enjoy. Try it out let me know what you think.

Sorry ankush8 but that's not true. All the BB services can work over wifi as long as the carrier allows you to do so. of course, you have to have a BB data package.

  • Downloading files from filesharing sites causes the Android market to force close.

After the last big Android Market update, any time I download a file from a filesharing site like Rapidshare a prompt asks me to force close the Android Market. This continues throughout the download but stops once the file has been downloaded.

yes i am having that problem too, but i do not know how to fix it either

  • Download in the Android Market is not working Samsung Captivate

When trying to download in the market it says it is not found.

This problem appears to be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update and we continue to investigate the cause. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose Uninstall you can uninstall the update and then you should be able to search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.
Or, you can check if your phone is supported here:
    https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android
and then download the app directly from here:
    http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/4.0b3/android-r7/multi/
(Note: If your phone is from AT&T, you will have to search for instructions on "sideloading" the APK file, since AT&T disables the option to install from non-Market sources.)

  • Firefox ftp download is not available? Where can I download latest version outside the Android market?

The ftp only provides 701 and 806beta but not the final release, please update, since there are still users out there with Android Market access like me on Toshiba AC 100.
    Thanks Frank

At teh following link you can have all versions build up by Mozilla: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/
You have nightly (birch+aurora+nightly ), release candidates (beta) final versions :)
    Enjoy!

  • Why is Firefox unavailable for Android tablets that do not have the Android market?

I own a Padigital Planet Android tablet, which can not use Google's Android Market, but the only link for Firefox for Android points to Google's Market.

    Hi,
The Pandigital Planet tablet doesn't meet the minimum requirements for Firefox Mobile support and isn't currently listed as a supported device. For minimum requirements, see
    https://support.mozilla.com/kb/will-firefox-work-my-mobile-device
Following is a direct link to the application, but note that you may not receive update notices in the future so you'll have to keep Firefox up-to-date manually (if it is even compatible, which I believe it is not). http://bit.ly/fennecftp
    Thanks,

Hi All, My first game,Sling Bot,  built with Flash Burrito is available on the Android Marker. Please download it if you have
an Android phone and let me know what you think.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Cool game!  I like puzzlers like this.  Level 4 had me stumped for a while, and then when I finally figured it out that darn asteroid got me right as I was about to make my last jump!  D'oh!

  • Updates for my apps from the Android Market get stuck on the download often.

Its as if they are perpetually downloading or installing. It happens at least a couple of times a week.

I think it's a problem with the market app that is installed. they need to update their market version.
Using a different rom, and market works fine. I'll leave it at that.
