AIR-BR1310G-A-K9R Integrated Antenna

I have a couple of BR1310 with the integrated antenna. I am getting an extremely weak signal out of the antenna about a 70 DB loss sitting 10 feet away from the AP. Is there an IOS command to the enable the integrated antenna, I also opened one of the AP up and I did not see an antenna in the casing. Just curious if anyone has any insight?

THe reason there is no internal antenna is the model number you reference is for an 1310 with the remote antenna option. thats the R at the end.

is it possible to set AIR-BR1310G-A-K9 AP on dual radio.
i am getting the expected coverage on 2.4 GHz radio when set as AP. in open air its giving hardly 25-30 meters of coverage. my purpose is to distribute internet bandwidth on wireless for hotel customers.

With the AIR-BR1310-A-K9 you have no options for external antenna. You would need the AIR-BR1310-A-K9-R to use an external antenna only.
If you are mounting the unit indoors, then I would recommend the 1200 AP.
If you are mouting outside, then the 1300 is the easiest to use outdoors.

Wireless Bridge error with AIR-BR1310G-E-K9,cannot associate: No response

Hi Guys,
I have to do a wireless bridge with 2 AIR-BR1310G-E-K9. I configure 1 AP root bridge and 1 AP non-root bridge, with the same SSID.
But on the AP non-root bridge, the interface dot11 radio don't change it state to up and give this error: %DOT11-4-CANT_ASSOC: Interface Dot11Radio0, cannot associate: No Response.
I don't why it doesn't work. Even if i try a configuration which it already work on a site, it doesn't work to.
So I ask to me if there is a problem with internal antenna?
If I configure the 2 AP to access point role with 2 different ssid, I can see the 2 ssid but with a weak signal.
This AP can work without external antennas?

The 1310 definitely can work with the internal antenna but... is the AP mounted somewhere? Some mounting options imply an external antenna as they position the internal antenna toward the wall...

Models that turn off integrated antenna when using antenna jack.

I am looking for a cell phone that has an external antenna jack AND will turn off the integrated antenna when the external jack is inserted. Lets define the term " integrated" as being an internal antenna or the permanent attached external or nub style. This can be on the market now or on the used market. The Treo line, even the old ones, is my primary interest but only because i have tried them and I could check email. Any HP/Palm model cell phone would be fine even if it is only available on the used ebay market. Knowing what models DO and DO NOT have an external jack and knowing what ones WILL and WILL NOT turn off the antenna next to my head will help me narrow down my options. So knowing a model will not do as I want is just as valuable. Thanks for the help. Pete I try to buy local. With cell phones that is hard for obvious reasons. HP has many workers in my hometown so i will support them first. If you can think of a non-HP or PALM company that offers this option please let me know and I will add it to the backup list.

Set all destinations to always ask and select no whenever the phone gives you a request, set Maps to offline, and set location to just use intergrated GPS. By the way, just been to Portugal using Vodafone and data charges only about £5 for week, and they've just improved allowances, may be worth checking your service providers web site and see if it's necessary to bother about data roaming, they all tend to follow each other, and Data roaming charges in europe seem to be coming down !

CISCO aironet 1310 integrated antenna poor range

I am trying to configure an AIRONET 1310 with INTEGRATED antenna
to work as an access point for clients on a campground
The range I get is awfull (50 feet and I loose the signal completly)
the aironet is outside and no tree are blocking it.
I configured it all by default exept :
-- in network interfaces : Radio0-802.11G Setting
-- I changed DATA RATES from Default to Best Range

1300 Integrated antenna model comes with a Vertically polarized 13dBi gain antenna. The beam width is 36Â° E-plane by 38Â° H-plane.
Following is the range -
Americas
â¢ 865 feet (260 meters) at 54 Mbps
â¢ 3465 feet (1055 meters) at 11 Mbps
ETSI
â¢ 150 feet (45 meters) at 54 Mbps
â¢ 775 feet (235 meters) at 11 Mbps
TELEC
â¢ 485 feet (145 meters) at 54 Mbps
â¢ 1095 feet (330 meters) at 11 Mbps
So the range what you are getting is way too low.
Please check the orientation of the AP, the antenna is Vertically Polarized.
So the AP should be mounted vertically.
Second make a note at the beamwidth 36Â° E-plane by 38Â° H-plane. Make sure that all your clients are only in this coverage area. If its an open area and you want coverage for client overall the area probably I won't go with this AP being a sector antenna not providing coverage in all 360Â° H-Plane.

I think Paolo30 is right. Qosmio F60 is equipped with internal DVB-T but in some cases you need an external antenna to pick up the low signal. In most cases only in large citys you dont need an external antenna. If you live on the fringe of the city, normally a cable is needed.
Anyway, do you mean an external antenna or external DVB-T receiver (USB stick)?
Normally Windows media center should recognize the internal DVB-T tuner. Is it listed in device manager? Did you update the driver?

Air Navigation Pro Using Integrated iPhone GPS without a sim card

I use Air Navigation Pro with my iphone on a passenger seat of the plane. Integrated GPS function works just fine without a SIM card installed, but only to a certain speed ~300 km/h or height then it can’t find any satellite at all. Can be this problem be solved with the integrated GPS?

I do use offline maps (topographical and street maps) on my iPod Touch 4 outdoors (not needing a signal, WiFi or cellular). I also have a hand-held Garmin GPS receiver but would rather use the GPS in the iPhone (its positional accuracy, while likely being lower than that obtained from my Garmin, is likely sufficient for my needs).
I guess that one of the questions that I was asking is if I were to purchase a used iPhone 4 from someone, and the SIM card have been removed, would the device's GPS still work with GPS-enabled apps (albiet without the cellular-assist)?
Can any pay-as-you-go SIM card be purchased for and used in a deactivated iPhone4? Would this even be necessary for the GPS?

Aironet 1310 with integrated antenna outdoor placement

Hi Guys.
One of our offices may be moving in the future to a building facing ours. Im thinking of buying 2 1310 outdoor AP/bridge devices intergrated antennas along with the roof mount kits. The buildings are in perfect line of site and our approx 33 meters apart.
The issue is that both buildings are metal clad. Will this have any bearing to the radio connection between the devices ?

40RV525R Will not recieve digital Over The Air Broadcast channels with digital antenna

Have had this TV for a few years, recently got an RCA digital antenna with a digital amplifier. Plugged it in, ran the auto channel program in the ANT/CABLE input setup screen and it shows no channels or signal too weak. I'm less than 2 miles from a local station's tower. Why can I not get local broadcast channels?

I doubt your problem is with the television. I recently began using an indoor antenna an found this Web site to be very helpful.
You may want to run a signal scan and post the results on their forum. I learned a lot by reading forum posts and the FAQ's.
