Air bubble on the screen?

I'm not sure whether it is or isn't one, but on the edge of my Macbook screen there's something that looks like it's under the screen itself. What can I do. This hadn't hit its third third month in service.
Already had to send back three of these things. Unfortunately for me though, can't get a refund because I need Final Cut

Hi, i had the exact same problem and a searched google for any suggestions. In the end I just very gently scratched it off.

  • How do you remove air bubbles inside the screen?

A little bubble appeared on my screen, whats the reason this happend? how to remove this then?

Have you ever had a rock hit the windshield of your car and leave a little nick in it (not a crack, just a little divot where a tiny piece of the glass has chipped away? That's what I mean by a chip. A nick. A piece of the glass that has been broken from the surface of the display.
As has already been stated, if it was a manufacturing defect, it would have been there since day 1. Since you said it appeared later, that means the glass came in contact with something hard enough to take a piece out of it.

  • Air bubble underneith my screen?

I have the BlackBerry Curve 9300, and I have had it since November 2010. I just noticed about a half hour ago that there is an air bubble underneith my screen. Its right in the middle of my screen and when I press/push on it, it moves all over the screen and spreads out but then goes right back to the middle of my screen when I stop pressing on my screen, its like a thin oblong bubble but when I press my screen it moves to any shape. Also, my screen is extremely sensitive now, when my finger slightly touches my screen, it makes the look and colours when you inteensly touch your screen, like goes black where you press and stuff. What is this? Why is it happening all of a sudden and what do I do?

I Know what the problem is, the same thing happened to my iPhone.
The bubble is just from heat, which means that your iPhone basically melted underneath the top glass layer. This happens to many iPhones, and iPods. The bubble  will usually form in the corners, or, around the edge.
If you have Apple Care, bring it into Apple and you will either receive a new iPhone for free, or, you will receive a new iPhone for a low price.
If you don't have Apple Care, the bubble will not effect the way your iPhone works in ANY way.  You can just wait until your phone contract ends, then trade in your old iPhone for your new iPhone, and Apple will still take your iPhone.
    I hope that helped!!!

The screen shows problems with iCloud only choices are ignore or settings, however nothing I do will unlock it from this screen, cannot power off keeps that bubble on the screen. What do I do?

    Try this now.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Bubble under the screen(original iPhone

I just noticed today that a bubble under the screen has appeared. At first I thought that it was on top of the screen so I try to clean it. My question is I bought it back in Feb 2008, checked the website and it is still under the limited warranty, does the warranty cover this? If so how do I get in contact with Apple to get this fixed?

Should still be covered under warranty. If you're near an Apple Store you can bring it in for repair/exchange. If you're not near one, you can call Apple Care and they'll send you a prepaid container in which to send it.

I have a 2G iPhone I purchused in January and I have three small spherical bubbles under the screen. I had a screen protector on and recently took it off and I noticed the bubbles. I have heard of people getting replacements but my real question is can I still get a 2G iPhone replacement from an apple store even though they only sell 3G iPhones now?

was this done in store? I am going to the Charlotte Apple store tonight or tomorrow night for this very purpose. thanks.

  • Just turned my macbook air on and the screen is white except for what looks like a camera with a question mark flashing.  any ideas what to do?

turned by macbook air on and the screen is white with a question mark flashing and nothing else on the screen. will not boot up.

Click here and follow the instructions. If the computer was running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or earlier and you reach the third set of steps, insert a Mac OS X install disk or connect the computer's original thumbdrive.

  • 2009 Macbook has air bubbles on the bottom?

I purchased my Macbook in 2009 and have recently noticed air bubbles on the base. I assume they are caused by heat, but am unsure about what could cause this level of damage. How can I have this repaired, and what is the potential cost? Is there a way to prevent it from happening again?
Has anyone else had this problem?
I have pictures of the problem here:

  • Air bubbles on the bottom of my Macbook?

There are a few small air bubbles on the bottom of my Macbook. I think they may be heat related, but I haven't left the computer in any highly heated environments. Is it possible that heat generated by the computer itself may have caused this?
Also, could these bubbles pose more than a cosmetic problem, in the future? Does anyone have experience with this problem?

    Hi
Could you give us more details please; maybe put a photo somewhere on the net so we can see the problem.
    Thanks

  • Macbook air, top of the screen flickers occasionally.

Hi, I have a 11-inch macbook air, mid-2012 according to my "About this Mac" and it works like a breeze except for a single issue. Every so often, completely unpredictably, the top of the screen will be flickering when I open the computer up. It goes away in a few minutes, but as my warranty runs out in a few months I figured I should get this checked out. Thanks for any and all help.

Absolutely YES go call Apple for a diagnostic / service call.
If the top portion of your monitor flickers for several mins.  then your GPU/ Logic board is going bad.  Possible the monitor cable or cable at junction with logic (i.e. cable connector fault at male/female at logic) board.
Take care of it immediately before your warranty expires.

  • When I put my Macbook Air to sleep the screen often stays black. Who can I stop this? What did I do?

So when I leave my Mac open or even when I close it, the screen often turns black and when I enter or I use my trackpad nothing happens. What can I do about this?

Supposedly there are moisture sensors inside the case that change color when they are exposed to a certain amount of moisture. There does not have to be any other sign of water damage for Apple to void the warranty.
I to have suspicious both ways when someone posts this type of thread. Does Apple do this just to get out of repairing a faulty Mac? Did the poster actually spill something on their computer and just blocks that out of there mind? Did someone else spill something on there computer and never mentioned it, cleaning it up before the owner noticed.
Moisture damage can happen is many different ways. Like so many peopple today they carry their computers in a Backpack. That backpack can get rained on, they carry water bottles in it along with the computer. Since te Air intake is close to the bottom on the unit and the unit does not sit to far from the surface it is placed on any water spilt around it, especially the back of it, can eassily be sucked into the air intake area or water from spraying the screen for cleaning can drip down into that same area and then be sucked into the air intake system.

  • Weird bubbles under the screen.

There are weird bubbles inside the glass of the screen,  it looks almost like a fingerprint on the glue holding the screen onto the glass... would this be somethig that I could get my Macbook Pro Display replaced for?

This seems to be an ongoing issue that we're trying to get Apple to resolve, it seems that some production batches have a bad AR coating that gradually comes off (and it'll get worse), have a look at this thread.  We're trying to get Apple to take notice of this issue
My Retina Display has stain damage, HELP!!!

  • What is causing these bubbles in the screen?

I noticed a couple of bubbles appear in the screen on my iPhone 3g but they've multiplied and now there are five of them.
I use a leather case with flap to cover the screen, I daren't let it anywhere near moisture and I can't see how my use could cause bubbles. They are about a cm lower than the volume control on the left hand side or on the left hand side of the space bar when typing in landscape mode. They are there all the time but easier to see when the screen is all one colour or off.
Am I causing these bubbles? If so how and what can I do to stop the spread? I will be off my feet for another 4+ months so kinda rely on my iPhone for company.
I'm laid up at the minute and can't get to a computer but I'll upload a pic to flickr in ten minutes or so

Ok I've uploaded a picture of a picture of the bubbles (don't have the computer access while I'm laid up with broken foot at my mothers)
the pic is at www.flickr.com/photos/squareoftheyear I took the pic on my 400d then took a pic of the cameras screen with the iPhone and uploaded it using the flickr app available from the app store
