Air drop in ios7 - iphone 4s

I updated to iOS 7 for air Dorp .. unfortunatly am not able to find the airdrop in iphone 4s .Can somebody share the steps to open air drop .

You'll have to buy a 5 or higher - airdrop isn't supported in early iPhone models including yours.

Air Drop on iPad mini & iPhone, but not iPad after updating to iOS 7

I have recently updated my iPhone 5,iPad & iPad mini to iOS 7.Air Drop is on iPhone 5 & iPad mini.When I open control center on iPad,there is no option to turn on Air Drop.

I'm new at trying these things. I have AirDrop on my iPad mini......but......can't seem to see where the share button is. Like I said.....I'm new at this. Any idea where I should look?

I can't find air drop when I swipe up on my iPhone 6.

I Have iphone 6+ iOS 8.2 And when I swipe up to my control center there is no air drop info.

That's weird RM. In my control center, when I swipe up it's right above flashlight, timer, calculator and camera icons. Turn the iphone off and back on. If it still doesn't come back on make sure that wifi and/or bluetooth are turned on. If that also doesn't work, perhaps you should try backing up the iphone and doing a restore to make sure it's not an issue with the software update from 8.1.3 to 8.2.

Why is not my iPhone 5S showing up in air drop on my Mac(Maverick OS).?

I have air drop on on my new iphone 5S and it is not showing up in Maverick under air drop as I am trying to air drop directions from Maverick maps.

AirDrop does not do that, but it stands to reason that it ought to be made to work across iOS and OS X. If and when Apple will implement that feature isn't certain.

Air Drop program let us drop files onto the iPhone or iPad?

I could really use this feature for my school and work projects. I have school books I need to download onto my iPad, so I can read my chapters at work. It is to much of a hassel to hook the iPad up to my MacBookPro, turn on iTunes, move the books to my iTunes, then download them onto the iPad. Air Drop would be so much faster.

The air drop on the Ipad seems to only be useful with ipads and iphones (ios7). Am I missing something?

You are not missing anything. This is currently how it is with AirDrop. It will only work from iOS to iOS or Mavericks to Mavericks. Not iOS to Mavericks or vice versa.
