AIR for Linux - how to disable popups during install?

During the AIR for Linux .bin install, how can we disable the two popups (that the user must select "Agree" and "Finish" on)?
Our company wants to migrate to AIR for online help but the popups need to be disabled. We'd be incorporating the AIR install into our sw builds and the sw manager will not approve until the popups are disabled.
Neglected AIR for Linux only offers .bin installs that have these two popups.(HINT HINT... Adobe please provide different AIR for Linux installations other than .bin installs.)

Hi auzenne
With AIR2, AIR runtime installers for Linux are provided as deb and rpm packages, which should take care of your requirements. Try out AIR2 beta from:

how to block popups during downloading

What kind of pop-ups do you get?
Do you mean that you get some kind of alert or do additional Firefox windows open with content?
Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.<br />
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

You could set policies which when a malware detected an action perform automatically without user interaction but there is no GPO which stop the notification, one reason could be that when notification keep appearing, then user will know something is wrong
otherwise why FEP should display any warning.

  • SAP Logon - how to disable popups while playing tests (QC and  TAO)

    Hello,
I am using QC 10, QTP 10 SAP TAO 2.03.
I recorded and cofigured sample scripts and now I am planning to run it from QC during night. There is one problem to run scripts someone needs to accept popups initiated by sap logon at the beginning of test run -
So my question is how to disable the logon popup windows and fully automate runs?
Thank you in advance for your help
    Edited by: Ksan_1 on Apr 1, 2011 9:04 PM

It is just the beginning of replaying the test.
When i initiate the test eg from the QC the very first operation is to confirm 2 popups. First informs about starting the gui and. Second is confirmation that script would be initiated. In the system.
So i need human interaction to initiate each SAP and this is part i want to eliminate.
Is there any way to disable the initial popup?

  • AIR for iOS: How can I distribute for only Retina Displays?

I am nearing completion of an app I have designed for iOS and tested on my iPhone 4. I bought a 2nd gen iPhone so I could test on both screen resolutions (320x480 and 640x960) before discovering AIR for iOS does not support very old iOS devices (I believe the rule is it must be iOS 4+).
My question is how is distribution handled if the app will not run on these older models? Wouldn't people with a 2nd gen iPhone still have access to an app that I publish via AIR for iOS and then be angry when it is not supported on their device? Has anyone run into this issue?

AIR 2.5+ requires iPhone 3GS+ to run. It's based on the CPU inside that
device and newer which includes a NEON SIMD coprocessor - a requirement
of newer AIR builds on all platforms (newer than PFI/AIR 2.0, which
    shipped with Flash Pro CS5.0).
There should be a "resolution" drop down in the AIR for iOS Settings
dialog, if you updated your PFI in CS5.0 or upgraded to CS5.5. You can
select "High" to get iPhone retina display support. This will not enable
    iPad 3 retina support though.
    Kevin N.
Edit: I didn't make it clear that the device requirements are set in your app, and enforced by the App Store - users on old devices will never see your AIR apps in their app store, and if they link into the App Store, they'll get an explaination of why they can't install the app (it'll be either the OpenGL ES 2.0 requirement, or the CPU requirement - it's similar to if you try to install an iPad only app on an iPhone). Android actually works the same way - old/cheap ARMv6 device users will not see your ARMv7 requiring app in their Google Play/Marketplace app.

  • AIR for Linux

I know this product was killed off a while ago now, but I was just wondering what the chances were of it being resurrected?
Ubuntu has recently announced Ubuntu for phones and now Ubuntu for tablets as well, and it would be awesome if I could, with relative ease, package my AIR mobile app up as a native package for it.

  • How to disable popup from Java for upate of J2SE?

    Dear
We have an instance 12.0.5 running on AIX box.Since last week whenever user tries to login & use ERP, java popup appears. It asks whether to download J2SE update. Once we accept & download, it gets connected to intenet (java.com) for verification. Most of the users does not have internet connection. In this situation, i want to disable this popup.
According to my understanding, Oracle R12 is bundled with J2SE (some version) software though which we run forms based applications. My question is, how do i disable this popup to avoid J2SE update installation & use default J2SE version that is already installed on user PC when they first login to ERP instance?
Secondly, how can i upgrade J2SE for specific ERP instance on AIX server for latest Java version? And is it acceptable according oracle policies. What i mean whenever we have new version of java (J2SE), how do i make it applicable to our instance?
    Thanks.

To disable updates, click on Java in the Control Panel, click on Update tab, and clear the "Check for Updates" Automatically" box.

  • Adobe Air for iOS - How to access or read current playing music

Hi guys, is there a way in AS3 how to detect the current song playing, for example I want to get the title of the music that is currently playing?

    Hi,
This doesn't seem possible in AIR at present. However, in the future version, you should be able to achieve this. No AIR API will be added, but you should be able to write some native code to get this information. I believe this can be done using the iPod Library.
    Thanks,

  • How can disable the annoying "Install addons only from authors you trust" popup?

It gives no new information, but annoys me a lot. I know what I do and don't need warning poups, thank you, and would be the happyest if this browser had decent built-in features and would be useable without a cartload of addons, like Opera.

    Hello nemecsek,
'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * On Mac you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''option''' key while starting Firefox.
    * On Linux you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by quitting Firefox and then going to your Terminal and running: firefox -safe-mode (you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.

''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''

'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''

  • How to Disable Popup Preview of Messages?

Hi. I'm just trying to figure out if there's a way to stop Mail.app from popping up the small preview of messages in the top right corner of the screen when they're first received. I find this incredibly annoying. I've searched thoroughly for a solution to this, but all I can find is how to remove the preview pane, which is not what I need to do. I don't know anything else to call this feature besides a "preview," which makes it hard to search for a solution, since so many of the results center around the preview pane. I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I don't know why this doesn't annoy more people. When I'm working, I get tons of emails around the same time. The last thing I want is to constantly be visually interrupted when the new mail sound suffices. Either way, thanks for the help.

  • Cryptsetup - how to disable automounting during boot

    Hi,
I have encrypted partition on usb key, works fine, but when computer boots it complaint that it cannot mount the USB stick (not there usually).
How can I disable this attempt?
    My setup:
    /etc/fstab:
    /dev/mapper/usb-private      /mnt/usb-private  ext2    user,noauto       0       0
    /etc/crypttab:
    /dev/mapper/usb-private /dev/disk/by-uuid/ae5.........49b /root/keyfile luks
Notice, I have noauto in fstab, but there must be other rule that attempts to mount the drive.
Problem is not critical, PC goes on with boot without waiting, but I would like to fix it anyway.
    Regards

In your /etc/crypttab, I don't believe you need to prepend the target name with the full path.
    So instead of this:
    /dev/mapper/usb-private /dev/disk/by-uuid/ae5.........49b /root/keyfile luks
    Use this:
    usb-private /dev/disk/by-uuid/ae5.........49b /root/keyfile luks
Notice there is no /dev/mapper/ in the target name anymore. Not entirely sure this will solve your problem, but it can't hurt to try. I was going to mention the "noauto" option, yet you're already using it.
