Air Play - Air Server - Air Parrot
Windows 8.1 Tablet with Air Parrot installed. Windows 7 Enterprise Desktop unit with Air Server installed.
Air Parrot will not connect via the tablet to the Desktop Air Server.
Ipads all work great. So we are wondering if there is a setting in Windows 8.1 that will allow the Air Parrot or Air Play to play with Air Server on Windows 7.

Air Parrot is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Can I use my macbook air with Apple TV to display photos and videos saved on my macbook in the same way I can with my iphone?
I'm curious why it is possible to stream the entire iPad screen via Apple TV to an HDTV but not mirror my MBA... not logical. I can connect my MBA by HDMI cable to my tv and mirror the screen (actually I connect to my Yamaha receiver so the sound comes through the speakers). Why not permit this wirelessly? Am I missing something? I would buy an Apple TV if it allowed me to mirror my laptop to my big screen. Photos and music in iTunes is nice, but not worth it to me. It MUST provide connectivity from the laptop to be of any value to me. Is this a restriction in the hardware or some licensing restriction by the big media outlets?

How can i find the air play icon because it isn't showing up
I cannot figure out how to use my air play. The air play icon is not visible when double tapping the home button. I own a MacBook Air, Iphone 4s and an iPad 3. All of my software is up to date and my wireless connection is the same.
Is the Apple TV up to daye? What software is it running currently? Have you enabled airplay?

Air Drop and Air Play incompatible
Cannot get air play on my phone and it insists on placing air drop where the icon for air play should be.
Air Play is on the same Wi-fi network and works still from my computer on the network I phone sometimes shares the airplay icon with the airdrop but sometimes it doesn't. right now it is not on my 5c or on my wife's 4s. we automatically updated to 7.1.2 and that's all she wrote.

Why is Air Server/air play interfering with GarageBand recording?
As I attempt to record a track, a message comes up asking if I wish to use Air Play. This comes up frequently, and if not cancelled, interferes with recording. I have turned Air Server off, but Air Play seems to be linked with Displays in System Preferences.
Air Parrot is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8.

When I stream videos from my laptop onto my Apple TV via my iPad 2 using the Air Video app/server the video plays great however when I pause the video the Apple TV reverts back to the home screen within a few seconds and then when I want to restart watching the video I have to re-buffer the video. Is there any way I can stop the Apple TV from reverting back to the home screen when I pause the video I’m watching?

I have a MacBookPro with OS X Lion 10.7.5 - Just purchased an Apple TV Device but can't mirror stuff in my computer to the TV. Do I need to upgrade to Mountain Lion in order to get air play or is there another way to mirror stuff to my TV?

How do I use my iPod Touch 4th Generation with air play with my Apple TV?
Can someone please help me. I need to find out if my iPod Touch 4th Generation can be used for Air Play with my Apple TV. When I go to photos I can use Air Play to display them. But I cannot use airplay for my apps like Facebook, and My games like The Sims. I am using iOS 6.0.1. Is that the issue if so, When you be updating the 4th Gen. Touch to be able to use it with the 6.0.2 version. I beleive Apple can do better with this. I just purchased my Apple TV yesterday, and I don't want to have to take it back already, because it doesn't work with my iPod 4th Gen.
Do the games and apps show the AIrPlay option? No all do.

I just hooked up my Apple tv and im having problems already..When i enter my ID and Password for itunes it says that it is not valid,yet I double checked and its correct. Also, when I try to find the code to connect my Net flix account in Air Play the icon for the code is not there.I have wireless internet connection and it says Im connected so thats not the problem. Im ready to return my Apple tv for another product..Does anyone have a fix for this problem??

What causes TV screen to freeze but sound continue on TV when using Air Play from I Phone 4?
First try rebooting ATV and router. Beyond that, it's probably something within the network, typically interference.
To get a report of the network go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC). Look for signal strength and noise.
If on wifi try ethernet. -
My Imac should be able to get the recopie video via Air play because it is from Mid 2011.

HP Support site suggests that with the current Mavericks OS X 10.9.x
their drivers should be available through Apple Software Updates:

However that may be limited to certain models of printers or scanners that
already had been known to be working under OS X as of that date in a

You may be able to get a deal on a new printer as they are rapidly obsoleted.
PS: edit to add... there was a Gutenprint driver reference for T65 Printer here:
Mac OS X 10.5: Included printer drivers
Yet a driver for ancient Leopard 10.5.x may not be suitable for Mavericks 10.9.x
but the Gutenprint lead may be helpful to locate whatever may exist; or not.

Can I use air play to mirror anything that's on the screen of my iPad
I have the nfl gamerewind app on my iPad. I'd like to use air play to mirror the games from my iPad to my TV screen. Is this possible?
Or, is it possible to mirror the screen of my Windows 7 laptop to my TV using Apple TV?
Thanks for any help, I am very new to this, have never used Apple TV before.There are 2 kinds of Airplay - one which 'mirrors the display' on AppleTV (in iPAd 4:3 aspect ratio). Mirroring is only available on iPhone4S and later and iPad 2 and later and certain newer Macs. Mirroring is processor intensive as it compresses each display frame and sends the video to AppleTV as well as having to do what an app is doing.
The other kind of Airplay available on some older devices essentially sends a pre-rendered compatible file to AppleTV to play rather than a mirror of the screen.
Note - content providers can and do block certain things from working with Airpolay so check if it's a particular app, game or website you want to airplay.
You might want to check out Airparrot which might be able to mirror your Windows laptop to AppleTV.
