Air play mirroring doesn't work mac pro desktop 2010 mid 27" display
mac pro desktop 2010 mid '27" display'
I have turn on the " show mirroring options in the menu bar " it does not show up
I also have Imac workes just fine ,Iphone , Ipad , same workes just fine
so it is in the mac pro is there a down load fix or do I need to buy graphics card or what
I have had nothing but but troble out of this 27" display no microphone the misplay will stop working
when avery thing was new you told me that a fix would be out soon but 2 years later not a thing
be sure you are not confusing "AirPlay Mirroring" and Display Mirroring.
AirPlay Mirroring is not supported in that Model Mac, only in Macs with Intel integrated graphics:

Your Mac does support Mirroring of displays, and always has. The settings for this are in:
System Preferences > Displays ...

Air play mirroring mac with mountain lion, sound is working but video is extremely slow to update
I am trying to get air play mirroring working on my mid 2011 Mac book pro and Apple TV 3 (latest one) with mountain lion. I have the icon, it seems to connect to each other, and the screen shows up on my apple TV, yet it doesnt update, takes a long time to show up at all, just keeps showing the same screen. However, the audio works fine, I tried to play a Xfinity stream through safari, the video didnt show up on apple TV but the sound came through with no delay. Any ideas?

basically I think i either have some virus or this is the result of that stupid update I did... I know i did that keyboard one an itunes one a quicktime one and there might've been another. -

As stated you can't. Even if the compressed data is TV compatible, the container is not. If the file is playback compatible with the QT X Player, you can, of course, play the file on your main system and "mirror" its display to the TV. Unfortunately, this normally means only the video is played back via the TV device. On the other hand, if you convert the MKV content to an TV compatible file (or move the compressed data to an TV compatible container if the data is already TV compatible), then you can mirror the QT X player (with audio) to the TV device in the full screen mode, air play/mirror it from iTunes (or any mobile device), or stream it directly from itunes.
Basically, what you can do here depends on the compressed data in the MKV file container and how you define "mirroring." -
I can't use air play mirroring with the new upgrade on my imac (mountain lion) because my mac 21.5-inch is a Mid 2010... is there any way I can full fill the requirements and be able to use it? an upgrade or something??

I downloaded os x mountain lion not knowing that air play/mirroring wouldn't be compatible with my mac mini. i don't want this software anymore, is there a way i could get my money back?

Mountain Lion AirPlay Mirroring doesn't work on newest MBP

I have a 15" MacBook Pro Mid 2012 with OS X Mountain Lion installed. When Apple TV is available, there is an AirPlay icon in the menu bar. When I enable AirPlay Mirroring, my Apple TV turns into black but sound is streaming. No image at all. I tried different screen resolutions but none of them works, my TV supports 1080p and my Apple TV is 3rd generation with newest software (5.0.2). When the AirPlay Mirroring is enabled, there is a high upload speed so I believe the image is actually streaming. And there is no update for my Mac system. When I use iTunes to play a video, then that video can show up on the Apple TV, but besides that, mirroring doesn't work. My Apple TV has no issue when working with iPhone and iPad AirPlay. Finally, a simple 'restart' solved my problem....

I was watching a video full screen on my macbook but when I turned on air play mirroring to my Apple TV, the audio went dead on the mac and there was no audio on the tv. Any ideas why? Turn off mirroring and the audio was fine on the Mac.
Well an alternative to using the AirPlay feature in the Youtube app, is to use the Youtube app in the Apple TV. Thats all I have to say! All built-in apps on the Apple TV have amazing playback!
