Air Print capability

Can i use air print on Deskjet Printer 3050A All in One J611 Series?  I have new Gateway with Windows 7 premium. I do not have a suffix on the J611 which all of the online manuals have. How can I tell which applies to my printer? Also the box says it is model #3051A! (and I can't find that manual either)

Hi,
Firstly please check to see if your printer in the list:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
If YES, you can use this to setup
iPad: http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/airprint/
iPhone: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/airprint/
If NO you have to print using other apps (if applicable) such as

  • Air Print Download

Can I make my HP Photosmart Premium AOI  Printer C309a air print capable? Or my office jet 470wbt Mobile printer?  I want to use  these with the new IPad  with IOS 5.  If not  which  free or inexpensive IPad apps will work well so I can print from my New IPad to these 2 printers?

    Hi,
The Airprint feature cannot be downloaded, the feature provided by selected models only.
You may print using the HP ePrint Home & Biz app, which support both of the printers.
Below you may find further information how to get and use the app:

  • HT1695 I have Canon MG3250 air printer but I am unable to print from my I-pad, please can you help?

Please help me to be able to print from my Canon MG3250 Air printer from my I pad.

Your printer is AirPrint capable - make sure your iPad and the printer are on the same WiFi network.

  • Can't find printer in air print

Cannot find my Samsung printer on my iPhone 5.  On same wifi network; prints wirelessly from PC; printer model is air print enabled; only way to print from iPhone is using clunky Samsung print app.  Am I missing something here?

try resetting your printer and the iPhone and if that fails, see this:
    Additional Information
If you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found"
    Verify that the printer:
Has power and is turned on.   If it has power, turn the printer off and then on again to see if that resolves the issue.
Is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iOS device.
Has the latest firmware version installed.
Has paper with enough ink or toner installed.
Is free of any errors displayed on the printer's control panel.
If necessary, consult the printer documentation or contact the printer vendor for help with  the above steps.
    Notes:
Avoid connecting AirPrint-capable printers to the USB port of Apple AirPort Base Stations or Time Capsules. Doing so can enable traditional AirPort printing from a Mac, but it will not enable AirPrint functions for iOS devices. If you cannot use Wi-Fi networking to connect the AirPrint-capable printer, use an Ethernet connection from the AirPrint-capable printer to the Apple AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule.
Wi-Fi printers can take several minutes to join a Wi-Fi network after being turned on. Ensure that the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network before attempting to print.

  • IPad & IPhone 4s Air print Issue

I have just bought a HP 6520, I''ve followed the instructions for the Printer, My MAC Pro works but then I hard wired it and installed the software with a Disc. This all works fine.
I've tried to print from my ipad 2 and Iphone 4s but it's unable to find AirPrint. I've tried turningoff the router, Printer, Ipad and Iphone, left it for a while then one by one starting with the router switched them all back on, and still no Air Print Found.
I've got the APP for this but when we bought the printer the Sales Person demostrated to us with his Iphone and was able to print from his phone without using the app.
Please could someone suggest what I could try next

  • Air Print issue.

I have a new printer that is eprint compatable (and air print). It is connected to the internet, but it is not recognized by the iPad.  Reason: I cannot connect with "Web Services" on the printer to enable eprint without entering a Proxy address and port.  My iPad has proxy turned off.  Where is the proxy address and port to enter into the printer?

  • HT4356 Is there an air print adapter to use on older printers?

Is there an Apple or after market adapter to get a HP 8500 to be able to use air print.

HP has an app that enables printing to some of their wireless printers, if your 8500 is WiFi. Third-party printing apps such as PrintCentral are also available. All such apps have limitations, so check them out thoroughly before you pay for any such app.
For other printers, you can route the printing through your computer. If you have a Mac, Printopia would be worth a look. Fingerprint is another option that is available for both Mac OS X and Windows system. You could also consider an AirPrint-capable print server. Lantronix makes a couple of models, including one that supports a USB printer:

  • AIR PRINT ON 6 YR OLD PHOTO SMART 7250

MY IPAD WITH IOS 5.1 WILL NOT RECOGNIZE MY 6 YEAR OLD 7250. DO I HAVE ANY OPTIONS OTHER THAN UPGRADING TO A NEW EPRINT CAPABLE PRINTER?

    Q,
    See this:
    Airprint compatible printers
EDITS:  Cancel below this line -- You are only interested in AIR PRINT -- none of this matters to AIR PRINT.
Do you already have an old version of the HP ePrint APP on the iPad?
    OR
Can you upgrade the iOS on the iPad to iOS 6 ??
HP ePrint APP in the Apple Store requires iOS 6.
Those of us running iOS 5.1.x and having an older version of the ePrint mobile app are OK - if you have to download the ePrint app now, you will end up with the newer ePrint 5.4 version and must needs be using the newer OS as well.
I did see (at the Apple App Store) that there is a Microsoft ePrint version of the software that can be purchased for $2.99 -- and IT says it works on iOS 5.1.1.  That means if you at least had a printer the app could reach, you could at least use the paid app on your iPad.  Whether the paid app works or does what you want is another story and one I cannot answer.
    Rats.
You may want to do some more homework and then decide on the printer package.  You probably do want the ePrint printer -- but you need to decide on the iPad OS and the App bits, too.

  • My ipad does not find my air printer all the time.

Why is it that my mini ipad intermittently find my air printer ?

    1. Turn the router, iPad and printer off.
    2. Turn on the router and then wait 30 seconds to let it complete its start-up process.
    3. Turn on printer and then wait 30 seconds to let it complete its start-up process.
    4. Turn on your iPad and test print.

  • I'm trying to print  an Ancestry document from an iPad 2 using air print onto a Canon 5350 (one of the printers ok'd by Apple) I am unable to change the print orientation from portrait to landscape.  That is I change it in printer settings but no use.

I'm trying to print an Ancestry document from an iPad 2 using air print.  The printer is a Canon MG5350 (on the Apple approved list) I have no difficulty printing but only in portrait format.  I've tried changing printer preferences from my computer but even though the Canon accepts the changes it will not print landscape - can anyone advise please?

    Hi,
How do you connect the printer to the XP machine ? If USB, you need to make that machine as a Print server. Please try this:

It depends upon the capabilities of your printer. If you have an HP printer with a photo tray then the Photo app will print to whatever size you load in to that tray.
    There's some more information here:
Using AirPrint to Print Various Photo Sizes
With other printers the user is given a choice from the printer's loaded paper sizes. You can see an example of that here:

  • HT4356 I have an air-print enabled printer: HP Premium e-all-in-one C310.  Can't print from iPad iOS6.  They're on the same network, but have different IP addresses.  On the iPad it's 192.16.1.126 and on my printer it's 192.168.1.133.  Can I match them? H

I can't print from my iPad2 to my air-print enabled printer (HP Premium e-all-in-one C310).  They're on the same network, but have differed IP addresses!  The iPad IP is 192-168-1.126 and the printer is 192-168.1.133.  That's the only difference I can see.  Is there a way to fix this?

    fyi:
you put periods between the numbers.
Each device needs a unique number.
for the 192.168.1 the right must number should vary.  192.168.1.x
the numbers you have look ok.
Power off all devices: wifi router, printer, ipad.. wait 10 minutes.  poweron router ... wait power on printer wait then power on ipad.
    cross fingers.
