Air Print Download

Can I make my HP Photosmart Premium AOI  Printer C309a air print capable? Or my office jet 470wbt Mobile printer?  I want to use  these with the new IPad  with IOS 5.  If not  which  free or inexpensive IPad apps will work well so I can print from my New IPad to these 2 printers?

Hi,
The Airprint feature cannot be downloaded, the feature provided by selected models only.
You may print using the HP ePrint Home & Biz app, which support both of the printers.
Below you may find further information how to get and use the app:

I have just bought a Kodak ESP 1.2 printer, not an air printer. Which app can I download so that I can use my printer with my IPAD 3 ?

You can try the HP printer App; http://itunes.apple.com/app/hp-eprint-home-biz/id299531647?alreadyRedirected=1&m t=8

  • Air Print to any printer - using linux cups server

For those folks who may have Linux boxes with a printer configured, you can make this printer available for air print using a tweak to your CUPs config and adding an avahi service. Details are here (no need to download & purchase additional software)
    http://hartlessbydesign.com/blog/view/197-airprint-with-ubuntu-1010
I tested this procedure myself on a Canon MP140 printer sending a print job from the photos App on an iPad. It took a couple of refresh attempts to find the printer but once it did, print jobs sent just fine.

I do not have the exact printer model that you have, but have used several HP wireless printers that all work just fine with an AirPort Extreme.
Your wireless printer will connect to the wireless signal provided by an AirPort Extreme.....or any other wireless router.....just like any wireless device would connect to a network:
    1) Identify the network to be joined during setup
    2) Enter the wireless password to connect to the network

  • How can Air Print be configured to print properly?

When printing photos, there seems to be no way to get the entire photo printed - its always only a portion of the photo (sometimes only a small corner of the photo is printed). Cropping does not help.
Same thing when printing text (say from the Notes app). Text is always printed with no margins - its always right against the edge of the paper.
Doesn't this make Air Printing rather useless?  There's nothing in the Ipad settings that mentions printing. Not sure where else to look.

I had the same problem with an HP 5520 - not only can airprint only print to photo size (there is no option to choose the paper size) but it also crops photos, seeming randomly.
Airprint appears to be all but useless unless you're looking for badly cropped, photo sized prints.
I was able to solve the problem by downloading HP's dedicated printing ap but it's not ideal (can't print from photostreams and have to copy to camera roll for example).  Also while the iPad version of the ap offers paper size the iphone version only offers photo size.
I'm going off Apple pretty rapidly, apart from some awful customer service my wife had from them recently the products just don't seem to be as flawless as they used to be.  my iphone 5 is covered in chips for example and it's not like I let it get knocked about.  Hope they pull their finger out and bring quality back to the fore soon.

  • I have a question in iOS Air Print feature.

    Hi,
    Good day
I have a question in iOS Air Print feature.
I have Fuji Xerox DocuCentre-IVC2263 in my company and i need to print document from the iOS device to this Fuji Xerox.
Fuji Xerox is connect with Ethernet cable.
So, if i buy Apple Airport Express, can i print message on Apple Mail app and document on Apple Pages app ?
Note: I download FX Print Utilitie from App Store, This app can print only PDF, Webpage, picture. It's can't print message from Apple Mail app (attachment also), can't print document from Apple Pages app.
    Thanks
    Pichate83

To print directly from an iOS device, the printer must support AirPrint. Just connecting a printer to an AirPort Express base station (either by USB or Ethernet) will not, in itself, make the printer AirPrint ready.

  • Air Print for J6480

Is there an HP download to enable Air Print to work with the J6480 office jet all in one? If not, does the Print Central app for iPad allow printing direct to the J6480 or do you have to dpwnload weprint to enable it?

With HP OJ J6480 and iPad, you can download and install HP iPrint app in your iPad. Both the devices should be in network to make use of the HP iPrint app.

    Hello jimbo289,
I would recommend downloading the HP ePrint Home & Biz app from the Apple App Store. You should be able to print to your printer from inside the app.  As of right now, there is no update for your printer to allow AirPrint directly from your Apple mobile devices.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!
Although I work for HP, my posts and replies are my own opinion and not those of HP.

  • Air Print NO! Epson iPrint YES!

I don't understand... Apple make air print but it fails to find my air printer. But I download Epson iPrint app and I can print fine.
Air print will find my printer sometimes, Epson iPrint finds it every time so something's not right with air print.
If it was my network I couldn't print anything and technically Epson must use part of the air print or my wifi network, as both are coming from my wifi only iPad.
    So I'm miffed!
I will say, Air print if it worked would be the easier choice to print with.

    2 iPads 2 iPhones 1 iTouch?
Firmware / ios upto date on all.
Epson works so it must be AirPrint, and like I say Epson must use air print or it won't print - like my other printer will not work with air print or the Epson apps as it's only wifi not air print / wifi.
Oh prints ok from my iMac

  • How to down load air print?

How can I down loos air print to use on my IPad?

You don't download air print. It's part of the operating system. But it's a part you can only use if you have an air print enabled printer.

  • AIR PRINT ON 6 YR OLD PHOTO SMART 7250

MY IPAD WITH IOS 5.1 WILL NOT RECOGNIZE MY 6 YEAR OLD 7250. DO I HAVE ANY OPTIONS OTHER THAN UPGRADING TO A NEW EPRINT CAPABLE PRINTER?

    Q,
    See this:
    Airprint compatible printers
EDITS:  Cancel below this line -- You are only interested in AIR PRINT -- none of this matters to AIR PRINT.
Do you already have an old version of the HP ePrint APP on the iPad?
    OR
Can you upgrade the iOS on the iPad to iOS 6 ??
HP ePrint APP in the Apple Store requires iOS 6.
Those of us running iOS 5.1.x and having an older version of the ePrint mobile app are OK - if you have to download the ePrint app now, you will end up with the newer ePrint 5.4 version and must needs be using the newer OS as well.
I did see (at the Apple App Store) that there is a Microsoft ePrint version of the software that can be purchased for $2.99 -- and IT says it works on iOS 5.1.1.  That means if you at least had a printer the app could reach, you could at least use the paid app on your iPad.  Whether the paid app works or does what you want is another story and one I cannot answer.
    Rats.
You may want to do some more homework and then decide on the printer package.  You probably do want the ePrint printer -- but you need to decide on the iPad OS and the App bits, too.

  • HT4356 Can I air print from hp officejet 8500 wireless to ipad2?

Do I need to download an app for air printing from wireless hp 8500 printer to ipad 2?

The 8500 models that support AirPrint are :
    HP Officejet Pro 8500A e-All-In-One A910a
    HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus e-All-In-One A910g
    HP Officejet Pro 8500A Premium e-All-In-One A910g
If it's not one those then yes, you will need an app. HP have their ePrint app which might support it, otherwise there are third-party printer apps such as Print Central For iPad and Print n Share which might work with it.

  • Print from my iPad without an air print

HOw can I print from my iPad without an air print? I have a hp wireless printer

Well, only because Apple originally advertised AirPrint to work with any printer connected to a computer on the same network, and then modified it before release to work only with the few compatible AirPrint printers. AirPrint Activator is a little application you install on your computer that basically restores the functionality that Apple was originally going to build in. Not sure if that's considered "illicit" on these boards.
    Here's the link:http://netputing.com/airprintactivator/
It's shareware. I've been using it for over a year now. If you're running Lion, you'll need to download the beta version 2. Once installed (and a few set-up steps are taken in your sharing preferences), your iDevices will see any printers connected locally or by network to your computer, through the normal AirPrint function.

  • Air printer

My printer will not air print. I can still scan and print. I did change inks a week ago but it works perfectly for direct print. I have tried it near or far. Help please!

    Hi,
Your printer is not airprint enabled. The airprint function is built into the apple devices but will not work with your printer.
You could try downloading the HP eprint app to see if that might work.
