I have an All-In-One C 7280 and was trying to figure a way to print from my iPhone 4S. I don't find any Air Print support naming that printer. Is there a ap that will alow that to happen?
Hi,
Firstly please check to see if your printer in the list:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
If YES, you can use this to fix/setup:
iPhone: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/airprint/
If NO you have to print using other apps (if applicable) such as
http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/hp-eprint/id299531647?mt=8

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless. Does it support "air print'?
I just purchased an iPad2. I have setup a wireless network in my home. My laptop, printer and Blu-ray are attached to this. The iPad2 said the wireless printer must be "air print" enabled. I can not find anywhere there is a mention of "air print" on the website. How do I know if my printer is "air print" enabled?
Thank you for your help.
PatriciaUnless yours is an 8500A I don't think it supports AirPrint. Check this page: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02623193&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en#N154

Setting up air printer on non-supported printer using vista os
how to set up air printer on non-supported printer using vista os
Best, as with beauty, is in the eye of the user.
Not sure if Epson has an app avaialble, but there are a number of them. Check the capabilities and reviews. Some printing apps have more capabilities that others. -
My ipad2 recognizes my hp c410a printer (which supports air print) but nothing prints. Printer is set up on a wireless network. Printer sees, nothing prints. Any thoughts?
The router is a Linksys WRTU54G-TM. The Ipad recognizes the printer and spools the print job but there is no action at the printer. E-Print works.

Hi,
First-timer on this...Just updated my printer which was less than one year old, to one which had Air Print capabilities. This one is the Epson XP605 which has two trays, one being for photos. Each time I tried to Air Print a photo, it printed from the A4 plain paper tray instead of the Photo Tray.Twice...then I came into my study and changed the printer settings to Tray 1 (photo tray) Photo paper, size 5x7 and Photo Best, but still it printed on plain A 4 paper. Would be most grateful for any help, although I did read on one Apple site that AirPrint may not be able to choose trays!!!! "may not"?? ThanksI just figured out the print quality issue for my wife with her new iMac and new printer.
She replaced both at once and she couldn't understand why her Artisan 730 was lower quality then her Epson R280 when they had the same specs.
Turns out the newer printer had the option to connect via wifi which we used during setup.
The driver options are completely different depending on how you connect.
Once I connected via USB the correct options were available and the print quality was better.
Looking at the R2400 it dies not have wifi, but while researching the problem for my wife someone esle was having an issue updating to the latest printer driver.
If you go into the print utility from the Printer and Scanner system preference and under the general tab you should have driver 5.5.
One user had to delete the old printer driver before Software Update loaded the newer printer driver.

On my MacBook Pro (w Snow Leopard) I always had to reconnect my wifi at home when it woke up. I upgraded my router from an old Netgear to a newer N D-Link and stopped having to do that.
I would be surprised you would have that problem with an Airport Extreme, you might check to see if there is a firmware update for it. -

When I air print using FingerPrint from my ipad, it doesn't let me limit the number of pages, and I end up with more pages than I want. It asks if I want multiple copies, but it doesn't ask me number of pages, or which pages. Is there a way to do this?
When you use an AirPrint compatible printer, you get this option for page range. You are using your computer as the server in order to print, so you probably have to set the range on the computer. While you can print from your printer with this app, I assume that it doesn't give you the same control that you get directly from the iPad when using an AirPrint printer.
Read this from the FingerPrint support site. Selecting the page range would be part of the formatting of a print job.

All of a sudden i can no longer air print from my iphone 4S or my ipad 2
Need help
I can still air print from my Dell laptopHello rcappel,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when printing from your iPhone and iPad. I found a couple of resources I recommend for the issue you described.
First, I recommend following these steps:
If you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found"
Verify that the printer:
Has power and is turned on. If it has power, turn the printer off and then on again to see if that resolves the issue.
Is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iOS device.
Has the latest firmware version installed.
Has paper with enough ink or toner installed.
Is free of any errors displayed on the printer's control panel.
If necessary, consult the printer documentation or contact the printer vendor for help with the above steps.
You can find the full article here:
AirPrint Basics
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356
If you are still having trouble printing after following those steps, I recommend these steps:
Wi-Fi disconnects, or signal strength is less than expected
Move closer to the Wi-Fi router (access point).
Check for sources of potential interference.
Remove any case, stand, or other accessories from your iOS device and see if signal strength improves.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN and APN settings.

Just returned from holiday and my ipad can no longer detect my air printer, although working fine prior to that.
Have tried switching both off and on again - no luck.
The printer says that it's connected to my wifi as does the ipad.
Would appreciate any suggestions as I have found it very frustrating trying to get any help from the HP support sites.
Thank youYou're welcome. It's amazing how many problems can be sorted out simply by restarting ALL devices involved. That's my first troubleshooting step when I have issues like that - restart everything and try again.
I'm glad that it worked for you. -

Madam/Sir,

RahulHi,
It supports AirPrint as shown:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
Please read on the first page of the above link:
How to print in iOS
You can print from Apple apps like Mail, Safari, Photos, Camera, Maps, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and more. Many apps available from the App Store also offer this feature.
To print, follow these steps:
Tap or at the bottom of your screen.
Tap .
Choose your printer, the number of copies you want, and then tap Print.
Make sure that you are on the same network as the AirPrint printer that you want to use. All AirPrint-enabled printers on the same network should be displayed, including those that are properly configured for a Wide Area Network (WAN).

HP laserjet pro M1536dnf wireless setup to use Air print
Since I trying to print from my new Ipad Air, excuse my newbie networking printing questions!
This what I know so far:
1. I understand my HP laserjet pro M1536dnf is 'not' a WiFi printer.
2. As per HP Support and the Apple Support web sites, my HP laserjet pro M1536dnf is 'Air Print' enabled. I guess a certain firmware update must of incorporated the Air Print capabilty!
3. As per HP Support web site, I currently have the latest firmware installed ( 20130815 ).
Note: On my Config Report, it shows the status for both IPv4 and IPv6 as 'Network Cable Disconnected '. I have Show IP address as enabled.
3. My home setup has the cable internet going from my cable modem to my wireless Linkys E3200 router via coaxial cable. From my router to my computer is wired via the Ethernet cable. My HP Laserjet 1536dnf printer is wired to my computer via USB cable.
Questions:
1. Going from I seen and read on on-line, is correct to say 'I will have to change my Ethernet cable going from the router to the computer and change it to from the router to the printer's Ethernet port?
2. Will I have to remove the USB from Printer to the computer?
3. By removing the USB cable between the printer and the computer, how would my computer communicate to the printer to perform a print job? Unless, I'm guessing, I add another Ethernet cable between the router and my computer's ethernet port!
4. Any other tips, that I might have missed?
This question was solved.
