Help printer settings Canon MG6250 - 300gram matte greeting card stock
Hi, we have just bought this printer after recommendations but we can't get the printing to work? All our greeting cards comes out fuzzy? We print from photoshop at the moment. We are not using canon paper, we are using good quality 300gram paper which works excellent in our epson? Any suggestions?
Hi Antonia,
I'm actually interested in the specs for the Cannon iX7000. I need something that will print on metalic card stock up to 300 gsm...and I was wondering why you wanted to replace it if it works? Do you print on metalic cardstock at all? How is the drying time for metalic cardstock, if you do print on it?
Currently, I have a Dell 7130 cdn laser printer ($2,200) and it works great BUT I find that over a few months I am having to replace parts. The fuser seems to go out due to printing on my metalic 285 gsm cardstock. The printer's specs actually are only for 280 gsm but the paper goes through without any problems.
Any suggestions and feedback about the Cannon iX700 would be greatly appreciated
Good luck to you!

I'm trying to print an Ancestry document from an iPad 2 using air print. The printer is a Canon MG5350 (on the Apple approved list) I have no difficulty printing but only in portrait format. I've tried changing printer preferences from my computer but even though the Canon accepts the changes it will not print landscape - can anyone advise please?
Hi,
How do you connect the printer to the XP machine ? If USB, you need to make that machine as a Print server. Please try this:

I am unable to connect to my apple ipad 3G, Canon MX455 Air Printer and My3 dongle
I need help to connect my apple ipad 3G and a new Canon MX455 Air Printer to my wifi. I am using a MY3 dongle. Although the printer looks for, and finds the wifi signal,it will not lock on.
All help is appreciated
MickMickit's very very very unclear what you are trying to do
ios devices will only print native to printers which support airprint
if the printer does not support this std then one need a printing app from app store to print
ios devices can not use usb dongles in any way
ios devices can't make a hotspot which wifi printers can get network from -
I'm trying to set up a canon wireless printer (MG3220) to my iPad and iPhone. I'm using a Motorola modem SBG900. I keep getting the message "no air printer found". What can I do?
Update printer with the latest firmware. They need the latest firmware to Airprint.

IOS8.2 update on my iPad2 has given message of no air printers recognised when trying to print spreadsheet from Numbers etc. My iPhone4S has update IOS8.2 and can print as before. How do I rectify air printing on my iPad2 has pse?
Thanks to searching the community I have got a result. Power off and reboot (press front home button together with top right button) = air print is now recognising my Canon air printer. This reboot is useful for clearing similar types of problems.

My I pad is unable to locate my air printer which is a Canon mp495 model which has recently been purchased. Can anybody advise toremedy this situation?

This Canon Model MP 495 is air print compatible, but is not on the Apple List of compatible Printers.
Does it say that on the box?
When you compare the MP495 to MG8820 on the Canon site, the MG series printer mentions Airprint but there MP series doesn't mention it. I see AirPrint mentions on the Wireless Help tab on other MG series Canon printers too. -

Is my Canon Pixma printer air print compatible?
I want to know if my Canon Pixma printer is air printer compatible
Hey there Wolfage,
If your printer does support AirPrint it should be on this list from the following article, named:
About AirPrint
The documentation that came with the printer may have this information as well.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Take care,

I have an ipad 2, verizon jet Pak router ang canon pixma mg3220 wireless printer. All were working until yesterday. Now, I am getting no air printer message. Have shut everything down and restarted. It did not work.
See requirements for AirPrint (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356):
If your printer supports AirPrint but does not work then:
Your printer might need a firmware update
Your printer must be on the same WiFi network
Your router must support Bonjour (Zero-configuration networking).
For troubleshooting:
Turn Off iPad, WiFi router (remove from power), and Printer (remove from power).
Turn on WiFi router
Wait 30 seconds
Turn on printer
Wait 30 seconds
Turn on iPad
Try to print. -
It's most certainly an IOS 8 problem. My son has an ipad mini. For some reason we can't update that to IOS 8. That's going to be another phone call to Apple. Any way, I could print from his iPad, But not mine which is running IOS 8. I can also print from my iMac. So frustrating!
For some reason it seems that the iOS 8 is causing problems for the iPad's when it comes to air printing. It will search for printers but it does not seem to find any printers.
