AIR/Windows 7 Onscreen Keyboard

Hi
Any reason why the onscreen keyboard would stop working when a TextInput is being focused?
* AIR 2.03
* Flex SDK 3.4
* j3500 Motion Computing tablet (http://www.motioncomputing.com.au/products/tablet_pc_J35.asp)
The onscreen keyboard is the default version that comes with windows 7 Professional...The interesting thing is we did not have this issue in the AIR app in the past up until the our latest app update.
There are no definatley no programmical modifications to the default focus behaviour of any text editable fields or anything that would interrupt the default behaviour of the flash/air integration with the onscreen keyboard and the operating system....it should be transparent AIR/Windows 7 function and totally out of our hands...
The soft keyboard will still enter text into input fields, however the keyboard needs to be manually opened. The standard behaviour was...when the wacom pen tapped into a text input, a keyboard icon would appear next to the input and open the keyboard over the AIR app, now that does not work..
We are really at a lose with this issue and need to know which direction to look into. The tablet has all windows and motion computing specific updates applied to it...and can be replicated on other tablets etc..
We have not tried linux or mac installations troubleshooting because do not have direct access.
Any ideas much appreciated.

I am havin the sam eissue as you can tell I have set al setings to fast..and still it skips keys randomly. I have reinstalled drivers and what else can I do? This keyboard came with bundle HP Pavilion s5310f. I need a fix for this issue. I type for a living and this is unacceptble sppeed and tuypps...shew. Any info, help, or new keyboard appreciatd...thisis no working

  • IdeaPad Yoga Windows 8.1 OnScreen keyboard does not stay open

    hi
I just bought a new ideapad yoga and upgraded from windows 8 to windows 8.1. Unfortunately, I can't open the onscreen keyboard. After it opens, it immediately closes itself. This problem has also been described here, but wasn't solved:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-tms/ideapad-yoga-13-virtual-keyboard-does...
Is this a known issue? Does this have anything todo with drivers? - What can I do about it?
    Thank you!

Anyone got some tips? How can I contact the Lenovo support otherwise?
I am thinking of selling my Lenovo and buying another (definitely non-Lenovo) device. They always have troubles with their drivers (and have poor support)!! Something like that never happened to my Dell notebooks.
    Thanks.

  • Windows 8.1 on Tablet - Getting onscreen keyboard to show up

I have a windows build of my game.
When the windows build is run on a windows 8.1 tablet (no keyboard) the onscreen keyboard does not show up. I've tried the new 4.6 I've tried
TouchScreenKeyboard.isSupported and TouchScreen.open.. but they are not working.
My code (when run on Android and iOS) does popup their keyboards.
    Any ideas or workarounds?

Windows build you are running is Windows Standalone?
TouchScreenKeyboard won't work there, you need to build Windows Store App.

  • Working with the MS Word iPad and other office apps: Onscreen keyboard will not minimize

With Microsoft's announcement today of allowing limited editing capabilities in their mobile apps, I installed the updates on my iPad.  So far, everything works great...with one exception:  The onboard keyboard will not get out of the way...won't
    minimize.
I have last year's iPad Air and was trying to use my Bluetooth keyboard with each of the MS Office IOS apps.  Consistently, across all of these apps, the keyboard would stay on the screen and the key for minimizing the keyboard had no affect, even though
my Bluetooth keyboard was linked and working.  Any other app I use automatically removes the onscreen keyboard when the Bluetooth keyboard is detected.
This does make the applications difficult and not much fun to use.
Any thoughts?  Anybody else notice the same issue?
My office has begun deploying Office 2013/365 and I know we'll have some users on iPads and other tablets, so I'm real interested in correcting this if at all possible.

  • How do I stop the onscreen keyboard from popping up when I click on a text box?

I have a yoga 2 pro and the onscreen keyboard is irritating. How do I stop it from popping up every time I touch the screen? I am only touching the screen to get to the spot where I want to type--- I don't want the onscreen keyboard.
Sometimes it obscures the screen so I can't get to the right spot. Usually it disappears when I start typing, but sometimes I'm not even trying to type-- I'm trying to select something and I can't see it any more because the keyboard has popped up. I close the keyboard to get it out of the way, but it pops up when I try to touch the screen again. So I can never get to the spot I want unless I absolutely hit the exact spot on the first try. It happened even while typing this. I wanted to touch a certain spot in the paragraph, but then the onscreen keyboard popped up and I couldn't see the paragraph any more.
    Thanks,

Did you turn off any of the Lenovo software?
I closed a random McAfee process via the task manager in an attempt to stop the notification from popping up every ten minutes telling me to restart.
I also deleted a lot of the tiles from the colorful windows screen. I think some of them were Lenovo apps. They all seemed to be for some specific purpose though, that I knew I would not use. I have forgotten what they were. I did not delete many-- only a few that I knew right off that I would never use. Could that have affected something?

  • Touchsmart 9100 use onscreen keyboard ctrl+alt+del to login

I have a Touchsmart 9100 and I can't figure out how to ctrl+alt+del to login to my network using the onscreen keyboard. I have it wallhung and will not be using the keyboard or mouse.

Greetings, Thanks for the reply. I'm not trying to use Ctrl-Alt-Del to clear anything, I'm not trying to use Ctrl-Alt-Del at all. Here's what I'm attempting:
Fire up a VM, log into the VM, run the customer's VPN
    RDC to the customer's server
Run the management app on the customer's server that needs elevated privileges
In the RDC session to the customer's server:
I get a UAC dialog, asking if "I want to complete this action by entering my credentials on the authentic Windows logon screen" or "I don't want to complete this action"
I click the first option ("I want to complete...")
I get a second UAC dialog saying "Press Control+Alt+End" to enter your credentials"
I'm not able to press Control+Alt+End and have it go to the server in the RDC session, the VM is capturing it first; I HAVE tried it using the onscreen keyboard in the RDC session also without success
(I took screen caps of the dialogs, but, I've pulled an all-nighter working on another issue and couldn't seem to figure out how to insert them here... doh!)
    So - no Ctrl-Alt-Del
Next time I need to get to the client's server I'll have to check the settings for keyboard shortcut forwarding. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Onscreen Keyboard gets smaller and smaller

    Dear Reader.
Because of impairment I heavily depend on onscreen keyboard. But strange things happen with lion: the onscreen keyboard got smaller and smaller. Now it is this tiny, that I even don't have access to the + button to restore the size. Only close and minimize buttons are visible due to small width. Closing and even restarting does not help at all. I don't see any chance to reset to default size.
Please help, if you know about,
I googled very much and didn't find help
    Thanks
    Harry

If you can't drag the edge then I think deleting the plist might be the next thing to try.
Open a finder window and on the menubar select Finder > Go > hold the option key down to expose Library > click Library.
In the Finder windows for Library go to the Preferences folder and find com.apple.KeyboardViewer.plist and either drag it to the desktop or delete it.
You might have to logoff/logon.  The system will create a new plist of the default size.

  • Launchd system agent before login for an onscreen keyboard.

Hi everyone. I'm investigating the possibility of starting an onscreen keyboard for people to use to log into their user accounts with. I work for a company that deals with people with disabilities, and their computer problems.
So far I've used Lingon to create a system level launchd agent for the keyboard program we're using which is 'Assistiveware Keystrokes'. Any onscreen keyboard would be fine, but this is the only one I could successfully start with launchd so far, but it's starting after login rather than beforehand as I'd like.
I couldn't figure out how to lauch the default Mac KeyboardViewer, as I couldn't find a way to launch it from a script.
Anybody know what I should do?
    ,Damon

Thanks for your help guys. Also I find it rather interesting that OSX doesn't have a way to bring up an onscreen keyboard (at least without a lot of knowlege and effort). As it would prevent Mac users who wanted to use touch screen comptuers from being able to log in.
Are there no Mac touch screen computers I wonder? I think this will be my next obvious area to investigate, as although twtwtw pointed out that it's probably possible to run GUI apps in the login screen, it seems as though it's a depricated function that will be phased out:
"Warning: Apple plans to disable the global window server service in a future release of Mac OS X. Do not write any new code that uses the global window server service. If you have existing code that uses this service, you must eliminate that dependency in order to be compatible in the long term."

  • Onscreen Keyboard appears when shadowing session on 2012R2 Remote Desktop Session Host

As the title suggests, whenever I shadow a session on our 2012R2 RDSH server, the onscreen keyboard appears.  The taskbar also unlocks.
Both of these behaviours mean that the user can tell when their session is being shadowed, which I don't always want to be the case - sometimes I want to be able to monitor the session without their knowledge.
Anyone know how I can stop this from happening?

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Yeah, we can use the following command where we can take user shadow session without giving him any notification, and no need to approve by the user.
    mstsc.exe /shadow:ID /v:ServerName /control /noConsentPrompt
But for this, we need to set the following group policy:
    [Computer Configuration | User Configuration]
    \Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Connections
Set rules for remote control of Remote Desktop Services user sessions:  Enable
Select the option: Full Control without User’s permission
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • How to put back onscreen keyboard

how to put back onscreen keyboard?

    Hi,
I also wanted to get a number of files back out of the trash, but the Put Back option wasn't available.
I tried everything I could find in this forum with no success, then I found something that WORKED:
    1/ Open Trash window
2/ Open another Finder window with the folder you want to return the items to (maybe create one if there are multiple destinations - sort out later)
3/ Select the files in Trash that need putting back, then drag them to the other finder window.

  • Onscreen Keyboard and GMail (and other sites)

Couldn't find anything on this in my search - but my onscreen keyboard pops up when i touch the screen (in regular notepad mode when I'm using the physical keyboard).  It seems to happen only for certain textboxes on certain pages.
One place for sure when this always happens is GMail when I hit the compose button.  When I touch anywhere in the compose box the onscreen keyboard pops up.
This is completely annoying and I don't know how to make it stop.
Is there anyway to completely disable the onscreen keyboard in notepad mode?  I would only need it in tablet or other modes.
    Cheers

  • Is there an onscreen keyboard i can use for my garageband?

I need help! I find garageband very confusing and I remember seeing somewhere that there's and onscreen keyboard and i would love to use it as i play. Thanks.

In the Windows Drop-Down Menu are two options to show a keyboard - "⌘K" or "Musical Typing
"⌘-Shift-K" - The "keyboard" you play with the Mouse or Trackpad, the "Musical Typing" maps the notes to the letter keys on your computers keyboard, so you can play it with ten fingers; also you see the sound effects a key will produce, if you hover the mouse above the keys when you are playing a sound effects instrument.

  • Lenovo control for onscreen keyboard MISSING?!

    Hi,
Like many others, I am trying to find a way to stop the Windows 8 onscreen keybaord from popping up constantly when I don't need it.
The best solution others have found seems to be to go to "OnScreen Keyboard (Lenovo Transition)"  under Control Panel. HOWEVER, that item is simply not listed in my control panel. Can anyone help? Where has it gone?
    Thank you

    >>Is there any alternative of RibbonGallery available in Word 2007 onwards in Word 2003?<<
    As far as I know,
RibbonGallery class is provided by .NET Framework 4.5. I and the VSTO for Office 2003 supports .NET framework 2.0, so I am not able to find an alternative for RibbonGallery.
    >>How to create a control in Word 2003 as it is available for Outside Borders of table in formatting toolbar?<<
Can you achieve the goal manually? If not, I think this may be a restriction of control in Office. We also not able to do it programmatically.
    >>Is it possible to add combos inside combo control?
I want a Combo for OSKB with 40 combos inside it arranged as it is in Outside Borders control and then each inner combo with 10 controls each.
I have been able to create new toolbar with simple combos but I want to get above mentioned behavior

Did you want to insert controls in Combo box control? Did you mean the content control in Office? If I understood correctly, no, we can't insert control in Combo box content control.
    In addition, since
the support has ended for Office 2003, to help protect your PC from harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software, which can steal your personal information, I suggest that you update the Office to the latest version.
    Hope it is helpful.

  • Programming a japanese onscreen keyboard in Labview (Linux)

    HI,
I would like to know whether it is possible to program an onscreen keyboard for a touch screen in Japanese.
I found a lot of threads on onscreen keyboards programmed for Windows but none for Linux.
Also, which is the best IME for Japanese in linux and how do i access this IME in labview.
    Thanks in advance.
    Pavitra

Hey, so I am still trying to visualize what the end goal is.  Could you post the articles you are referring to?  Is it a bunch of bolean controls that are arranging to look like a keyboard that has Japanese text on each button?
