Airbook never ends to reboot after update

after the latest Yosemete update, the Airbook restarted and the white apple on black screen shows the progress bar half the way full and there it stacks and nothing happens ever since.
I force restarted the airbook by holding the start button and it does the same, I never get to see my desktop and therefore I don t know what to do.
Can someone help, please?

Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list.  Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • Never ending "please reboot to update" cycle

Ever since (successfully) updating to v 4.1.0, every time I boot up I receive the Adobe message "The computer must be restarted before updating can continue. Would you like to restart now?"
I've lived with this as all it requires is for "No" to be clicked on each startup (clicking "yes" simply re-boots the PC with the return of the message again), however, I now discover that when I try to run Adobe Updater, the same message comes up. This means that I can no longer update and therefore the problem becomes more serious. I'm guessing it may be a registry flaw, but wouldn't know how to attack it.
Does anyone have any experience of this? Thoughts? Suggestions?
    Many thanks,
    Aidan

With all respect; of course I can do that, but I'm hoping to avoid taking up their time, by first trying the forums.

my ipad 3 keeps on rebooting after updated to ios 7.1.2. what shd i do?? how to resolve the issue??

The first thing that I would try is a reset.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
IF that doesn't stop the rebooting, you should restore the iOS Software. Read this carefully and read to all the way through before proceeding.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
At the very end of the article under "additional information" there is a link to recovery mode. You might need to use that if you cannot restore in the conventional manner.

  • S4 Constant Rebooting after update

Issue is affecting four of my devices.        Two of the devices are having this issue with only factory apps and blank sd card, these device came directly from VZ with no accounts installed before and after update.
Restarting is random.  Not linked to power save, sleep, calls, apps, or anything else I can test.
Devices are unusable.  Please offer a roll back.
Devices have been factory reset, cache cleared, and operated in safe mode.  The issue persist across all.

Read post 54 in this thread here... Re: Galaxy S4 randomly rebooting after VRUFNG6 update!
In a nutshell, re-enable any disabled apps you have on your phone and power off and back on.  You can then disable the apps if you would like.
This is a temporary workaround. Verizon and Samsung are working on an update (supposedly) which will not be out for a while.

  • IPad 2 Rebooting after updating or installing from appstore!

This is getting increasingly frustrating! I have seen various issues with peoples phones or ipads rebooting since IOS 7.1 update but I havent seen anything like this yet!
    I have 250+ apps
    10GB free
    and im running 7.1.1
has anyone seen this before? I would like for it to not reboot when updating or installing new apps!

Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears (no data will be lost)
When you go to the App Store does it show it as purchased?

  • Apple Logo and reboot after Update to IOS 6.1.3

    Hallo,
after the update to IOS 6.1.3 my Iphone shows only the Apple Logo and restarts. The iphone has no Jailbreak. I can acces the Iphone via ITunes but every Recovery (Recovery Mode or DFU) ends in the same result. There was no Problem before IOS 6.1.3.
    Have anybody a idea?

The next thing I would do is put the device in recovery mode then attempt to restore. Hold down the home and power button while its connected to iTunes until you see the silver apple then let go of the power button and keep holding the home button until you get the iTunes logo on your device. At this point iTunes should prompt you to restore. Let me k ow how it works out.

  • My iPhone 4 on infinite reboot after updating it to ios 7

Updated my iPhone 4 to ios7.0.2  3 days ago and the iPhone now on infinite reboot lope.
I did try restoring the IPhone using iTunes after putting the phone on DFU mode.
But the restoration process always denied by iTunes for unknown reasons.
And now my iPhone is completely not working

The only way that I know to restore the software is by using iTunes and unfortunately, that does mean that she needs to use a computer. Any computer that is running the latest version of iTunes will work, but when she restores the iPad, she will lose everything on it.
Most paid content can be downloaded again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID, as long as the content is still available and as long as iTunes in the cloud is available for that content in the country in which you live.

  • Problems with Mini--continued reboot after update

I recently was given a Mini to play with. I was having some issues with it when I first received it. I read some forum posts and some other non-apple related help files on the internet. I finally got the Mini to work correctly, at least I was able to get to the menu screen and get the Mini recognized by my computer. When iTunes recognized my new ipod I was told to update the software, I did. The update that was "needed" was 1.4.1. I went ahead and downloaded this update. I was then told to plug the Mini into the wall outlet to make the update complete. I did this as well. I left the Mini plugged into the wall, using the Apple AC adapter and the provided USB connector. The Mini flashed the apple icon then the "plug into the wall" icon. I left the Mini plugged in overnight, I had no idea how long it would take to finish the update. The next day I tried to plug the Mini into my computer and I got a message telling me that my ipod might be corrupt and I should reset the ipod back to original settings. I tried that.
Now, as I type this, I have the same Mini plugged into my computer and it does not register as a USB device on my computer and itunes does not even recognize that it is connected. The Mini seems to be caught in some kind of rebooting loop. The screen continually reboots, going from the apple icon to the "plug in" icon. I don't know what else to try, besides throwing the ipod away.
I would really like some help with this problem. I have tried the 5Rs and I have gotten nowhere. I will gladly take any suggestion that can be made.
I am running a Dell Inspiron with Windows Vista Basic, if that helps. Thank you for any help.

I have followed your intruction and it does not correct the problem. Diskmode does not appear. The ipod is completely locked out. The apple symbol appears, followed by the plug-in picture and that is all.
This is a result of an update to version 1.4.1 via iTunes. Surely Apple have to provide a fix for this error as it was no fault of anyone elses that these ipods are now rendered useless.
To make matters worse, I have all my uni assessment information on the ipod, which is my sister's, and I can no longer access it. My assessment is in 2 days.
If I have to get the ipod "repaired" due to an apple update then that is plain ridiculous. To cost me money for repair due to an update provided by apple? That's insane. Apple should take responsibility for the problems this update has caused and provide a fix.

  • Macbook won't reboot after updates

Hi, I did a round of updates last night through the software update feature.
The MacBook seemed to almost finish installing. The bar was 95% across.
But never finished. I let it go over night. This morning screen saver was on.
Machine could not be woken up. I held power button in for a bit to shut down.
Tried to boot up machine. Gets to the gray screen but just spins. Never boots up.
The MacBook is a Black Plastic one from March 2007.
    10.7  2 GB RAM. 160 GB HD.
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks

She bought the computer used so unfortunately she does not have the start up disk. She also has not backed up the information on the computer but we are more concerned about getting the computer to work because she cannot afford to buy a new one and she has barely had this one more than a year. The only thing that is connected to the computer is the power cord and the battery is shot so we cannot disconnect the power cord and use the computer. Well I read the instructions on starting up in safe mode so I hold the power button until I hear the obnoxious beep and then hold the shift key down until u see the little gear thing and apple logo. Well I get the apple logo but no gear and then I get the pop up window that I spoke of before telling
Me to restart and there is the lines of "code" in the back ground.

  • Lumia 1020 keeps rebooting after updating to 8.1 a...

Hi there, as the title sujests, I just installed the 8.1 and cyan updates and now my phone keep rebooting by itself.

@nick881 which operator do you use, in which country? Perhaps that adds information. Anyway, in a few days, Lumia Cyan should be available on the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. I would go for that rather than a hard reset, because it does a complete reset through re-applying the whole firmware+software.

  • 80gb classic won't reboot after update

Apple sent a update notice for my ipod, downloaded as instructed, waited as required for the ipod to reboot. The unit keeps cycling on from the glowing apple screen to a black screen, unable to reboot. I have tried the hold buttone and the reset by pressing menu and select at the same time...same deal. Can't see the ipod on my computer any more or in itunes.
    Any insights?
