Airlive Usb dongle

Good evening,
I have installed the software of airlive usb  WL-1600 (latest version) and it works fine on macbook snow leopard 10.6.7.
When I download on macbook pro osx lion, it doesn't work. In hardware overview the USB is recognized, but nevertheless it doesn't work. No little green light to say it is on, and the application doesn't start. Does anyone have an idea?
Thank you

Yes I did, Installed and desinstalled and reinstalled a few times¡¡¡

  • Bluetooth USB Dongle does not work

I have this generic looking USB dongle (forgot the brand) that I use with my eMachines e725 laptop. It worked fine with Linux Mint 9 KDE 64bit that I had to use for the past 1.5 years. The moment I plugged the dongle in, it was instantly detected and the bluetooth icon turned active in the system tray. However it does not work with my ArchLinux 64bit install with KDE4.6 (updated to latest packages). Due to issues with the new Kernel 2.6.39 series, I am using the LTS kernel.

Have you read the Bluetooth wiki page?
Seems to me you didn't run the relevant daemon.
Also, your thread title should include 'bluetooth' - 'USB dongle' on its own is too generic.

  • How do I export the MUSIC in a playlist to a USB dongle?

    Hi There,
I have put more than 400 songs into a new playlist and I want to export this playlist (music content NOT just the play LIST) onto a USB dongle. I did this some time ago and can't remember how I did it. I can BURN to a disk, but I want this playlist onto a dongle. Any help would be grateful.
    Thanks
    Phacoman.

    Hello arrowepark,
Thank you for providing the details of what you are trying to accomplish.  To transfer a playlist, you will need to transfer the music and playlist file separately.
You can transfer your music by dragging the music to the USB drive, and next, you will have to take the additional step of exporting the playlist to the USB and importing your playlist to the alternate computer:
    Transferring playlists
If you want not only your content but also your playlists to exist on your new computer, you will want to transfer a copy of all your playlists from your old computer. To do this, choose File > Library > Export Library on your old computer. Save the XML file that is created to your desktop.
Send the playlists file to yourself as an e-mail attachment, use an external drive, or use file sharing to move the playlists file to your new computer. Once the file is on your new computer, open iTunes and choose File>Library> Import Playlist. The import process will remove any items from the playlists that you didn't share via Home Sharing.
You can find this in the section titled "Home Sharing" in the following article:

  • Satellite A205: Bluetooth USB dongle will no longer connect to AirCable

I plugged a generic Bluetooth USB dongle into my Satellite A205 and used it for several hours over three days to connect to an AirCable Serial Bluetooth to run my telescope controller. The generic dongle worked after downloading a Toshiba stack.
Each time I restarted the Bluetooth it incremented the COM port numbers.
My telescope controller will not recognize COMs above 20 so I deleted COMs that really were not used.
The Bluetooth USB dongle will no longer connect to the AirCable Serial Bluetooth. *It worked before and will not work today.*
I've tried three different Bluetooth USB dongles including TrendNet, AirCable and the generic.
I cannot connect to the telescope controller's AirCable Serial Bluetooth with any of the dongles.
_*Can anyone suggest a Bluetooth monitor that will work, or suggest a way to get my A205 to work with one of my Bluetooth USB dongles?*_
    Don

I have Vista. I did not download SP1. It did not appear in the Update Manager. My laptop is about 3 months old so I did not want to download the 400+ MB SP1 to a fairly new version of Vista Home Premium.
Here are steps that did work for me. This process is tedious but it worked three times in a row with no failures after scores of failed connection attempts.
*_Getting Bluetooth to Work With Vista and Generic Bluetooth Dongle_*
    1. Power up Bluetooth serial (AirCable).
    2. Start laptop with Vista Home Premium and wait 2 minutes.
    3. Plug in the generic Bluetooth dongle.
    4. Click tray Bluetooth icon to show Bluetooth devices.
    5. Select and remove the existing device.
    6. Unplug and plug in the generic Bluetooth dongle. My Bluetooth COM Port is 6-Outgoing Serial, and 7-Incoming
    7. Add a new connection for the Bluetooth serial.
    8. Start; Control Panel; Device Manager
    9. If COM ports with a higher number than your selected ports (mine are COM 6 and COM 7) exist, do the following:
    - Right-click the port number that is the Output port (Click the Bluetooth icon in the tray to determine which COM number is output and which is input).
    - Let's say for my example that Device Manager Ports shows COM 11 and COM 12, and that COM 11 is output.
    - Right-click COM 11 and select Properties
    - Click the Port Settings tab and the Advanced button
    - Click the Com Port number dropdown list and reassign it to COM 6 (the desired Outgoing COM port).
    - Click OK a couple of times.
    - Now, right-click COM 12 (input), Properties, Port Settings tab, and Advanced button.
    - Reassign COM 12 to COM 10 (OK...), reassign to COM 9 (OK...), reassign to COM 8 (OK...), reassign to COM 7 (OK...). (You are clearing out unused COM ports 10, 9, and 8.)
    - Click OK a couple of times.
    - Click the tray Bluetooth icon and remove the existing device.
    - Pull the Bluetooth USB dongle out of the computer and reinsert it.
    - Click the tray Bluetooth icon, search for and add your Bluetooth serial device.
At this point your remote Bluetooth device should have a good connection.
    +++++++++++++
Thank you everyone for your input. It is too bad that it is so difficult to use a Bluetooth dongle with Vista but such is life.

  • USB dongles no longer working with hub

    Hello,
I am running Logic Pro and a couple of 3rd party plugins which require usb dongles. All of a sudden the usb dongles are no longer found when connected to my 4 port usb 2.0 hub. This was never an issue in the past. Any ideas what might have caused this to happen? thanks.

I have this problem too. Devices are mounted properly in /media, but there is no icon in nautilus/on desktop. Also there is no icon in gnome-mount applet.

  • How to identify a USB dongle on my PC or on another PC on the (same) web

    Hi all,
I need to check if a USB dongle is currently connected to my PC or was pulled out.
The dongle might be connected to another PC on my web and then I need to check the same in remote mode. That is, check that it is still connected to the other PC from my PC.
I tried to implement this with the "Find.vi" from the System VIs group (see attached VIs), but it seems that it doesn't recognize my dongle.anks
Any ideas why is my USB dongle not recognized by the System VIs?
Any ideas how to implement it differently?
Note: My LV version is 2011.
I'd be gratefull for any idea...
    Thanks,
    Mentos.

    Hello James and Dennis,
    Thank you for the reply.
    I do understand your explanations.
Let me add some more details:
My dongle serves as a license key for an application.
The dongle itself is bought from a third party so, in response to James suggestions, I do not have a set of commands for it.
For the same reason, I don't want to play with its baud rate.
The Visa Find Resource.vi also can not find it.
I noticed that there are some recommendations on the forum to use Devcon.
I know that's an option (at least for detecting the dongle on my local PC), but I wouldn't like to use it since I'll have to install it on every PC where my application is installed and that's not so convenient.
I tried to use the Devmgr.dll, inputing my USB Device Instance Path (see attached picture). It does detect my dongle, but there are 2 problems:
    1. It displays the device manager GUI when run and waits for response. This is not good for my application. I can't have any pop ups.
    2. The Device instance Path I read from my dongles is a bit different for each dongle, so there's no constant value I can put in my code.
Assuming I just need to detect the dongle on my LOCAL PC for now, is there any other dll I can use (Kernel ?) ???
Any other option to do this (without installing an additional application)?
    Thanks,
    Mentos.

  • Bluetooth USB dongle

I have a Powerbook with Bluetooth. I also have an iMac with a Bluetooth dongle plugged in the USB port. I can send files from the iMac to the Powerbook but I can't send files from the Powerbook to the iMac. I am almost sure I was able to do that before I upgraded the OS on both.

There may be a situation where the BT USB dongle does not
have the correct drivers or they didn't load if available in the
OS; or perhaps the manufacturer's web site may have them.
Or, there are no drivers required. But I think something was
missed in the update or upgrade and that item was left out.
    In any event...
    Good luck & happy computing!

You cannot plug a USB dongle into an iPad using the USB part of the iPad Camera Connection Kit.
The Camera Connection Kit is for connecting cameras - hence the name.
You'd need to get a MiFi device to use 3G data via WiFo on your iPad.

  • BlueTooth USB dongle problem

    Hello,
I have a problem with my BlueTooth USB dongle
    OS: Win98
    Drivers: latest 1.4.2.10
When I setup a connection the following error occurs:
ERROR: Unable to start the BlueTooth stack service
Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem??
    Andries

No configuration or modification of system files is required. If the USB Bluetooth dongle is Mac compatible, just plug it in and open the Bluetooth system preferences pane.
Not all USB Bluetooth dongles are fully Mac compatible.

  • Bluetooth usb dongle support

hi i am new to forum and java
I am going to buy bluetooth usb dongle .I want to know that by having 2 dongles can I run my java socket programs to transfer data's or files between two PC's .is there anything like java supported bluetooth usb dongle is there. If anyone knows the solution please reply me as soon as possible.

    Hi,
One idea, you can set up a LAN between two PC with the bluetooth dongles then easily make them communicate by sockets, or http, or ppp with java or other programming languages.
    http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programming/Wireless_Programming/Bluetooth/Q_20766049.html
    That's my little suggestion.

After updating to OS X Mavericks, internet USB dongles topped working. Many other users have faced the same problems. Can someone please help me out? I am unable to find online help.

Sourcing Drivers for dongles when upgrading OS is a nightmare whether its osx or windoze. It takes the likes of Huawei ages to produce new versions. I strongly recommend getting a portable wifi (mifi) which will work with any device and sits in your pocket not sticking out the usb port where it gets broken. Recommend Huawei E5756

  • Anyone managed to get a VPN to work over a Vodafone 3G USB dongle?

    Hi all,
I have got a Vodafone 3G USB dongle (http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/mobile-broadband/usb-modem-stick/) for a Macbook running Leopard.
It connects to the internet absolutely fine. The problem is when I try and connect through a VPN to the office network. I have setup and tested the VPN over other internet connections and it works fine.
When i try and connect over the 3G connection, the VPN icon at the top right of the screen will say 'Connecting' then 'Authenticating' and then the timer will come on as if it were connected. The problem is that I am unable to ping any of the computers on the Network - however they can ping me!
I have tried changeing all of the settings (e.g. send all data over VPN) and tried the VPN with and without the routers IP address and DNS servers address added to the config but nothing seems to work.
Just so you are aware I have tried VPN over the 3G connection on a Windows laptop running XP Pro and it worked fine so it is clearly a problem with OS X.
I know not that many people may have had experience with these 3G dongles yet, but if there is anyone that has any suggestions I would be most happy to hear them!
    Thanks for your time,
    Ash

I have just tried running the Vodafone 3G USB dongle off a Macbook Pro running Tiger and it connected to both the internet & VPN fine, so the problem is clearly with Leopard. I have tried again with the Macbook running Leopard and recorded the following routing table (this was recorded when the dongle was connected to the internet and I was also supposedly connected to the VPN):
    Routing tables
    Internet:
Destination Gateway Flags Refs Use Netif Expire
    default host64.msm.che.vod UGSc 3 0 ppp0
    10 ppp0 USc 2 0 ppp0
    host64.msm.che.vod host49.msm.che.vod UH 6 21 ppp0
    host100.msm.che.vo host100.msm.che.vo UH 0 0 ppp1
    host81-149-63-178. host64.msm.che.vod UGHS 32 34 ppp0
    127 localhost UCS 0 0 lo0
    localhost localhost UH 0 94 lo0
    Internet6:
    Destination Gateway Flags Netif Expire
    localhost link#1 UHL lo0
    fe80::%lo0 localhost Uc lo0
    localhost link#1 UHL lo0
    fe80::%en1 link#6 UC en1
    ff01:: localhost U lo0
    ff02:: localhost UC lo0
    ff02:: link#6 UC en1
Not sure if this is of help to anyone, but if there is any other info you may need I could provide it for you!? Also when connected to the VPN I cannot ping any of the computers on it, but obviously could when it was working on the MBP.
Really hope someone has some suggestions?
    Thanks
