Aironet 1121 Core dumps hang AP
I have been having some serious issues with my 1121G APs over the past few days. I recently upgraded to 12.3-7 and for unknown reasons the AP's are creating r12-*****.rcore files. These files will fill the AP's flash memory and render them useless, you can ping them but not telnet. The only fix I have been able to get to work is power cycle the AP, login and delete the files, then run a fsck flash and do a wri erase and reboot the ap again. I have the command "no exception crashinfo" to take care of crash files doing the same thing. Is there any way to stop these .rcore files from being created? I would also like to know why they are created.
I have uploaded my current config if you wish to view it.
Did you try reloading the Access point firmware. I suspect that the AP upgradation caused the problem and feel that the APs image is corrupted. Try reloading the AP. This should work.

Any ideas regarding this,

AmolHi,
I didnt compile with -g option, but i got to the root of problem. In the program I was just doing cout , so it was very simple, but I was linking libpthread library with the program , also was giving -mt flag during compilation. When I removed this both, the program disn't dump core and nither did it hang.
But the same thing worked with solaris 2.8 64 bit CC 5.0 with patch 108528-10 .
So I just can make out the difference as to why this this is happening
Regards

Running FF 2.0.0.8 with Sun Secure Global Desktop - no issues. Upgraded to V3.6.2, then 3.6.3. Both upgrades failed. Browser randomly crashes at different times, different pages. FF works if directly ssh'ing into application sever. When accessing FF after loging in using SGD, I get random crashes. I have a Solaris core dump generated by FF. Is there anyone that can read/diagnos the core dump?
I have identified the issue and received a 'fix' from the
Oracle Secure Global Desktop support team.
The issue - firefox is crashing when attempting to talk to the sound server which is not active. All activity within the window works fine, except ff hangs the second you move the mouse in to the top level menu.
We disabled the audio under the SGD configuration and that ficed the issue. -
Zfs core dumps in Solaris Zones after patchcluster installation
Hi
I've installed the recommended patch cluster for Solaris 10 (SPARC) on my T2000 Server.
Now after the reboot all the Solaris Zones (got about 10 of them) instantly do zfs core dumps when their booted.
Some Output:

Installation of patch set complete. PLEASE REBOOT THE SYSTEM.
when i tried to reboot the system by init 6 the service iscsi hanged and produced syslog errors about a unkown iocall -> killed the process. System rebooted w/o errors.
Does anyone have got an idea how to find out which patch or whatever do produce these errors?Hi,
I'm having the same issue of diskmon core dumps after upgrading grid and database from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.2 on Solaris 10 x86-64. Following this thread, I'm trying to deinstall the Oracle 11.2.0.1 grid home.
I answered the following questions asked by the grid deinstall tool:
1. ASM configuration was not detected in this Oracle home. Was ASM configured in this Oracle home (y|n): y
2. Specify the ASM Diagnostic Destination: /db01/app/oracle/diag/asm/+ASM
3. Specify the diskgroups that are managed by this ASM instance: DATA FRA
4. De-configuring ASM will drop all the diskgroups at cleanup time. Do you want deconfig tool to drop the diskgroups:
If I answer no to question 1, the tool exits with error.
How do I answer question #4? (confused about this question of dropping diskgroups, it's already been upgraded)
Deinstall of Oracle db Home 11.2.0.1 was successful.
The +ASM instance has been upgraded and is running fine under 11.2.0.2 except for the excessive diskmon core dumps.
Thanks,
Lisa

Sorry for posting on Linux thread. I could not find area related to this problem.
I have x86 box (256MB 10GB) running Solaris 8 and Oracle Enterprise 8.15. I have it all configured and running. Howerver, when I startup the database and the tns listner I get core dump every 4-5 hours and the box reboots. After examining the crash message I found out it was GPF. I am sure that Oracle is the cause of the problem, because I stoped the database and listener and machine does not crash anymore. I still have the core file if anyone in Oracle is interestedHi,
I didnt compile with -g option, but i got to the root of problem.

Tomcat 4.0.5 and JDK 1.4.2 on HP-UX 11i giving core dump
Hi,
I am using Tomcat 4.0.5 web server for a high data volume web based project. I have changed the JDK from 1.3 to 1.4.2. The os is HP-UX 11i. After changing the JDK version, I am getting core dump after every 6 to 7 hours and Tomcat fails to continue.
Pls, tell me is it due to version mismatch or anything else.
Regards
Kousik MukherjeeHi,
If you have not already done so .. make sure that the latest patches that are required for 1.4.2 on HP-UX are installed (requires patch PHNE_29887 for HP-UX 11.11 (11i v1) PA-RISC. The patch solves socket problems that may cause hangs.) I think there may be some others as well ...
Good luck

Hi
In AIX core dump file, we got this message
'SOFTWARE PROGRAM ABNORMALLY TERMINATED'CORE FILE NAME
/scclive/oracle/inst/apps/SCC_ebsprod/ora/10.1.2/forms/core
PROGRAM NAME
frmweb
We are getting these errors frequently when there was some network issue between our server and PDC. That why oracle application server is hanging and we had to bounce for resolving the issue. Can anybody help how to resolve permanently from AIX point of view?
Regards
AteeqHi
1)In which way the PDC is connected to your EBIZ system?
No we are using hostfile. 2)If point 1 is correct then u should solve the network issue as the forms sessions are hanging coz of network issue OR If point 1 is correct then you must update the EBIZ system hostfile with the fully qualified domain name and remove DNS server for the EBIZ system to solve this issue.
We do have fully qualified domanin name in hostfile.As well as using DNS server also.Regards

SunMC agent core dump but has a limit of zero and wont actually core dump
Greetings,
Before I put a call in with Sun, I thought I would find if anyone else has a similiar problem. I have SunMC 3.5.1 running on a number of platforms and generally it is quite stable. I do have a number of SunFire 1280's (Netra T-12 to SunMC) each with 3 system boards with 96 GB of RAM. These systems are worked pretty hard and about every day or so, each agent on each system crashes. The problem is that there is a limit of zero for the agent core dump and it wont produce a core dump. Other processes dump with no problems. I gather they may be some limit in one of the SunMC config files but I don't know where to look. Without a core dump, it makes life hard to work out what causes it. I am only running the basic module monitoring so nothing else is loaded. If the basic module wont stay up, then why spend money to but in advanced monitoring????
Any info would be appreciated. I have worked with the fabulous Sun team regarding SunMC and I find months waiting for an answer somewhat frustrating.
Regards
StephenHi Ian,
Thanks for the info. I will have a look at the patches. I noticed 3.5.1b has been released but as per usual, Sun does not really put much effort into saying what is good about it and why we should make the effort for upgrading. I could not wait to move from version 3 to 3.5 as it was so hard to manage patchwise.
One other thing that annoys me no end is the SunRay integration (/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utsunmc) alarms that appear. Once or twice, when I try to acknowledge the alarm, it just hangs. The event log says that I am trying to acknowledge an event that does not exist.
But then again, it has to be good because it does not cost anything other than time and the millions of dollars we spend on Sun equipment so we can use SunMC. That much money is better spend on hardware then on Tivoli right?? I think I can get a base model 25k for less than implementing Tivoli.
Regards

Hello
I been using iPhone since the 2G. I just received my new unit which I purchased from Apple store M'sia, iPhone 5s.
I never once encounter "Capturing Baseband Core Dump" error until my current unit. Im wondering if this is normal or something related to my hardware or my unit is defect?
The time this error come when Im trying to switch from wifi to celular via Settings. The display is hang, only showing white bright color. I hope to get possibe answer regarding this matters.
Should I ask for replacement?
What should I need to do?
Thanks~Thanks for the prompt reply guys!
Btw, is there any option to closed when tread is done?
Thanks again~ -
Gateway for Sybase - core dump [npixfc()+243] [SIGSEGV]
Hi All,
We are using a couple of gateways to various Sybase servers in our environment, which generally work very fine.
However, occasionally we find the following lines in the alert.log on one or the other node of the cluster.
The DB platform is currently 11.2.0.1 in RAC on Linux x86-64 RHEL5, but similar problems happened
before on 11.1.0.7 (the entries in the logs were not as descriptive as on 11gR2).

Thanks,
P.Thanks for your reply. I expected the advice to utilize the support for that :)
The results of my investigation:
Listener log - normal activity. New connections to the DB and to different gateways (including the one that caused the problem) every couple of seconds, everything seemed to be working fine.
Alert log - no other entries +/- 1 hour around the incident, except log switching.
I checked the application logs and managed to find out the session that caused the problem. It is an ETL process that runs the same extraction query on Sybase machine every minute. The query does not change and it was executed successfully hundreds of times before. Other similar processes were running fine, executing similar queries on all Sybase machines, including the one in the incident. So the incident seems to be random, with no correlation to other activities.
The flow of events in the problematic session iis as follows:
1. opens Gateway connection and sets session parameters on Sybase by executing:
dbms_hs_passthrough.execute_immediate@PM04PMDB('set lock wait 60 ') -> that went OK
2. starts data extraction by running:
insert into ... select ... from ...@PM04PMDB -> that operation hang, no further logs from this point
3. commits
4. closes DB link by executing:
alter session close database link PM04PMDB
The SQL that failed was executed at 7:23, and the incident entry in the alert log is dated 7:33.
Is it possible that the 10 seconds delay is caused by HS_FDS_CONNECT_PROPERTIES="timeout='10'" ?
The gateway config:
HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO=xxx
HS_FDS_TRANSACTION_MODEL=READ_ONLY
HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL=OFF
HS_OPEN_CURSORS=10
HS_FDS_CONNECT_PROPERTIES="timeout='10'"
HS_FDS_RECOVERY_ACCOUNT=xxx
HS_FDS_RECOVERY_PWD=xxx

Hotspot core dumping during JVM garbage collection ?
We have an application which calls a 3rd party supplied server API which has recently been upgraded to use Java 1.5
We are getting the following error reported by our client application. The application is also now running Java 1.5 but references many classes in jar files which would have quite old code in.
The supplier of the API has stated that the problem requires us to recompile all our jar files using v 1.5 ( including things like jconnect and jms ?!?!? ). This sounds like a bit of a cop-out to me, not to mention being impossible since we don't have the source for things like jconnect.
I suspect that there is a garbage collection problem at the bottom of all this, but I'm not sure how I can "prove" this, nor do I currently have any real clue as to how to fix any GC problem that may exist.
The application is supposed to wait for a message on a MQSeries queue and then transforms it via Xalan XSLT and sends it to a Server application. I've tried playing around with heap sizes etc but that just seems to make it worse. If I leave it at the settings that the previous version used then the client at least manages to process a couple of messages before core dumping. There doesn't seem to be a consistent trigger event to cause the core dump ( it's not a message arriving on a queue for example ) but it does seem to be fairly consistent timewise, i.e. after
Any ideas gratefully accepted.

Segment fault (Core dump)
Hi
when i run the following Pro*c file in Unix Environment im getting the SEGMENTATION FAULT(CORE DUMP) error. I used DBX to debug the code. I couldnt find out the proper reason for this error form the dbx output.
This is the output i got from DBX.
*signal SEGV (no mapping at the fault address) in _doprnt at 0xfb98736c*
*0xfb98736c: _doprnt+0x2798: stb %o0, [%o1]*
I did the showmemuse and show leaks, the output for this commands :

To be precise:

Getting core dump when using EXEC SQL CLOSE
In my pro*c program , i have used a cursor to fetch the set of accounts.Once cursor is opened , code will perform set
of operation using fetched data and then cursor is closed. Between open and closing of cursor , i have used 23 EXEC
SQL CLOSE. For example i am copying the value of a to b using strlcpy between fetch and close cursor statement.If
returned value from strlcpy is greater than size of destination variable, then flow should not proceed , in that case I will
close the cursor using EXEC SQL CLOSE and return the flow to calling program. Similarly i have closed the cursor at
another 22 locations.
When i compile the code and run binary the core dump occurs. On analyzing the core it shows
t@null (l@8) terminated by signal SEGV (no mapping at the fault address)
0xffffffffffffffff: <bad address 0xffffffffffffffff>
dbx: core file read error: address 0xfc4ffe48 not in data space
Current function is dbMtBaseClass::Pswd_Change
7860 sqlcxt(&_dbMtCtx, &sqlctx, &sqlstm, &sqlfpn);
if I remove any of the three EXEC SQL CLOSE commands , core dump does not occurs.
It looks strange.Please help me to resolve the issue.In my pro*c program , i have used a cursor to fetch the set of accounts.Once cursor is opened , code will perform set

Report Server: RTF format on Solaris gives Core Dump
We have Report Server 6.0.8.11.2 on Solaris.
We are running reports thru URL and it is working fine for PDF and HTML. When we specify the desformat as RTF it gives Segmentation Fault Core dumped.
We have tried using rwcli60 thru command line and it gives the same error, while PDF and HTML format is fine.
Is there a patchset for Solaris for the same or are we missing on some parameter?
- TarunHi I am a beginner to solaris and am trying to install Sun ONE Application Server on the virtual machine which runs Solaris10 on X86. When I try to launch the executable bin file, i get a message saying Killed.
It seems like it is not initiating the executable. ANy comments would be appreciated
