Aironet 1140 FLEXCONNECT External Web Authentication and Apple Devices

Hi!
I'm having an issue with this Access Point.
I've configured this access point with WLC in mode FlexConnect with web authentication.
It's all right, i'm connecting with my PC in wireless, i open my web browser in windows, then the Access Point redirect me to External Web Authentication Page,
i put my credentials, and i'm redirected to my access point ( https:/1.1.1.1/login.html i accept the certificate) and then the Access Point redirect me to Internet.
I do this with my android phone, it's all right again.
I try to connect with iphone or ipad , i'm redirected to External Web Authentication Page, i put my credentials, and i'm redirected to https://1.1.1.1/login.html where the web browser don't ask me anything and i'm not redirected to Internet.
Have you any idea?

Thx you Scott, i understand what are you talking about, but my problem is different.
I try to explain..
I see the wireless network, i associate the iphone to this network, so i'm redirected to Login page,
as i use the "Apple Login" or i Open a Web Page .
In this page , that i reach with all devices i put my credentials, then i will be redirected with all devices
back to Access Point (https://1.1.1.1/login.html).
In this page i should be redirected to internet after Radius Authentication, but with Apple Devices this doesn't work.
This is thw WEB AUTHENTICATION from Cisco Documents.
The user associates to the web authentication SSID.
The user opens their browser.
The WLC redirects to the guest portal (such as ISE or NGS) as soon as a URL is entered.
The user authenticates on the portal.
The guest portal redirects back to the WLC with the credentials entered.
The WLC authenticates the guest user via RADIUS.
The WLC redirects back to the original URL.

Hello Gurus,
Can anyone help me how to configure External Table Authentication and Authorization in OBIEE11g through weblogic server not like in 10g style(Through INIT Blocks).
I've followed the (Doc ID 1338007.1) document. But when i'm restart the Managed servers and Admin servers after configuring the SQLAuthenticator all my services are showing down.
I already raised the SR (SR 3-6286054151) on this issue. But still i didn't get any reply from them.
Can anyone help me out on this issue or can anyone me send the document for "how to configure External Table Authentication and Authorization in OBIEE11g" . It's really appreciate for your quick response.

Thanks for your quick response.
We configured "ReadOnlySQL Provider" by following the Oracle's white paper(Doc ID 1338007.1) Please find the below steps what we configured in weblogic console.
1. Created the Data Source
2. In the data source specified the Database driver--> *Oracle's Driver Thin for service connections: Versions:9.0.1 and later.
3. Defined the connection Properties .
4. Selected targets as Admin server and bi_server.
Then Activate changes
5. Created new provider by using ReadOnlySQL Authenticator
6. In the provider specific tab we given the SQL statements and saved it.
7. Restarted the Admin and Managed servers.
After restarted the services when we open the Enterprise Manager page all the services are showed as Undefined - means red.

For External table authentication do we need to configure BISQLAuthenticator or ReadOnlySQLAuthenticator ?
If we configure BISQLAuthenticator we just import Groups from database to Console application. Then how can it Authenticated to the User ?

Bad XML from external web service and would like to change the content

I am getting a bad XML(not valid) from external web service and I would like to change the content of the body in OSB proxy service to make it valid.
For example
<g:Information xsi:schemaLocation="http:// bad schema" xmlns:g="http://abc.com/t.xsd">
<test>Test Data</test>
</g:Information>
should become
<g:Information xmlns:g="http://abc.com/t.xsd">
<test>Test Data</test>
</g:Information>
Do you how can I do this?

I don't think it would be the best solution but you may try -
1. Conver the incoming XML to string using fn-bea:serialize() function
2. Replace the not-required content with a blank
3. Covert the string back to XML using fn-bea:inlinedXML
If you find any other solution, please let us know.

WLC 4400/Web Authentication and proxy autodiscovery

We have a guest-SSID where people authenticate via the build in web authentication and RADIUS.
We use proxy autodiscovery (WPAD, DHCP option 252) in our network and this works on the guest-SSID, but only after the authenticated user closes and opens Internet Explorer. It seems that restarting Internet Explorer triggers the WPAD discovery process.
My question is if there is a smarter way to push proxy settings to guest users without user invention? How did you solve this?

The reason you need to restart IE is because the WLC will be blocking the initial discovery messages from IE to Proxy because the user won't have authenticated yet. When the user authenticates, closing / opening IE triggers the discovery messages thruogh, which are now allowed to pass to the proxy.
The most fool-proof way I've come across is to use Transparent URL Redicection. This is something you can setup on a PIX / ASA, but requires a compatible WebProxy / WebFilter - I've used WebSense, but I believe other products should work too.
Lots of documentation about how to achieve this via CCO.

Connect a blank powered external drive to the PC.
Right click on the Disk in the File manager and choose format: exFAT
(if it's a XP machine, first install exFAT from Microsoft and reboot)
navigate to your user account folders on the PC and drag and drop copy (or copy and paste) to the external drive.
(if a program has your files, then export them out first)
Hook up the drive to the Mac, and transfer files to the desktop or to their same appropritate folders.
Import photo's into iPhoto program, import music into iTunes etc and they will manage those files.
You can continue to use the external exFAT drive between Mac's and PC's
Do not format the drive NTFS or FAT, NTFS can't be written too by the Mac and FAT can't hold over 4GB sized files.
If you format exFAT on the Mac, it likely won't work correctly on the PC.
"Migration" type programs are a utter waste of time and effort between PC's and Mac's for the fact that only certain files (and no programs or anything else) will work between them, also it's a hassle and takes too long. So don't even bother with it.

"Other" includes data such as contact information and photos assigned to contacts, calendar events, Safari bookmarks/cookies/history, notes created with the Notes application, SMS messages, email stored locally or cached, and 3rd party application data created and stored by the application.
If "other" is more than say .75GB at the most, you had a corrupt sync. Try syncing again and if the problem persists, the recognized fix for this is to restore your iPad.

Go to www.ecamm.com and d/l PhoneView.
To prevent a sync when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - hold down the 'option' and the 'command' keys when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - key the keys down until the iPod/iPhone is listed under the Devices list in iTunes - this will prevent a sync from taking place.
With PhoneView you can take the content from the device to the iTunes library.

It has error number -50.

If it only happens with this project, it's probable some media files have become corrupted.
Those may be render files. Make sure background rendering is off. Select the project in the browser and from the file menu, choose Delete Project Render Files; choose All from the dialog. Without rendering,try exporting.
If that doesn't work, use an optimized version of your DSLR clips. (Right click on the clips in the browser and hit Transcode.)

From the below link below it mentioned that "Round-trip latency must not exceed 300 milliseconds (ms) between the AP and the controller. If the 300 milliseconds round-trip latency cannot be achieved, configure the AP to perform local authentication."

Central Web Auth (CWA) works different on controllers/APs running in FlexConnect mode. Please check this guide and confirm that you have similar setup.

If so, please post screen shots with your configs (Redirect ACLs, policies in ISE and the WLC SSD settings).
Also, the version of code that you are running in ISE and your controller.

Problems with re authentications in a wireless with WLC working with web authentication and a radius server

Hi everyone, im having problems in a wireless network, the SSID has security layer 2 WPA, layer 3 web authentication (internal default page), and external RADIUS.
When a client makes a roaming from one AP to another one or when he has a idle time, he needs to re authenticate in the web login page. Somebody knows a solution to avoid this behavior?. Or somebody has a troubleshooting way to determine why the clients have this problems??

A few things I can share that might help .. Your actually feet on the ground will be importnat to see this issue for yourself.
I know when a client or if the AP sends a DEAUTH frame the client will need to reestablish its connection and it will 100% of the time require a new web auth. If a client loses connection while roaming and a DEAUTH is sent on either side you will get the page. If youre client isnt romaing cleanly this can be a problem.
Another problem is your using EAP. Are you using CCK or a device that supports OKC. What does your radius server say when a client roams ?
You could also simply your config and then reapply your security and see where it breaks. By this I mean. For testing, create a SSID turn off security and leave layer 3 web auth on. Roam and see what happens. If it works, then start to apply the security and see where it breaks.

External Web Authentication - HTTP Redirect or Proxy?

I've been reading all of the information I can find about the use of authentication of guest users using an external web server, rather than the native portal provided by a WLC. I've looked at the configuration examples and configuiration guides.
My question is this: when the WLC redirects the client to the external web server, is it a true http redirect (i.e. a http redirect sent to the client) or does the WLC act as a proxy (via its virtual address - usually 1.1.1.1), altering the http headers as it does when re-directing requests to its internal web portal ?
This is important as I need to understand if it is the client that has to be able to connect to the external web server, or whether it is the WLC that has to be able to connect to the external web server.
The WLC for the solution I am working on is in a highly secure DMZ area, so it is imprtant to know which devices need to talk to which.

So, to be clear, it is the WLC that needs connectivity to the external server or the client device?
Both devices need to communicate to the external web server. The WLC will need to communicate with the external server since it will be expecting a return of information from that server to process the l3 authentication. The client will need to reach it as the WLC is going to redirect it to that site (reason for pre-auth acl).
Does the client communicate directly with the external web server, or will it direct its http requests to 1.1.1.1, which will then be proxied by the WLC to the external web server?
Again this is both; So the client will lookup/resolve a site and initiate some HTTP traffic, so it starts a TCP SYN for to the real web server it is trying to reach, the WLC will see this request; hijack the IP of the destination server and reply back to the client(pretending to be the "internet" server) The WLC redirects the client to it's virtual IP; whether using internal or external web auth. So the client will arrive at the virtual IP of the WLC; which will then redirect the client to the external web server in your case. When this happens the WLC has also inserted some information in to the redirect URL on the clients behalf so which the external server will use to send the information it collects (assuming you're using one of our standard external bundles). The external server will process the client HTTP GET, so as far as "viewing and using" the external web server; the client will make that request directly to the external web server. The external server, upon submittion of the form on the page, will send the information collected from the client back to the WLC server (which it learned it's IP from the redirect URL). The authentication of the client will take place at the WLC.
So in this scenario you need a love triangle between the Client, WLC, and external server. All will be talking to one another at some point. Your client needs connectivity to the external server; and your WLC needs connectivity to the external server.

External Web authentication server for Guest access

I have a guest wireless wlan setup. When guest users attach to our guest wireless they are prompted by the built in web security on the WLC's.
Cisco talks about how to setup the WLC to route web authentication to an external web server, but they don't say what kind of web server to use or examples.
I need some help on getting an external web server to do web authentication. With the server we would like to get some basic info from the user. name, email, pupose of using wlan, and some background info they don't see like, computer name, mac address. This is all for tracking purposes.
Hotels do this type of web authentication for example.
Any help would be great.

No, you don't need PI or the Java stack for this. You can create an ABAP proxy using the WSDL file for the web service and call the web service using the proxy class in an ABAP program. You can transform the XML response to internal tables/structures/variables using a transformation template that you create.

At step 2,substep 4, I experience the following error:
"DCA-40002: The WSDL document is invalid due to the following reason: WSDLException: faultCode=PARSER_ERROR: Failed to read wsdl file at:"http://www.webservicex.net/WeatherForecast.asmx?WSDL". Caused by : java.net.ConnectException: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect."
I have tried to set up proxy:Tools > Preferences->Web Browser and Proxy. But it still doesn't work. Any idea?

Thanks for your reply. I have tried these 2 tutorials before. Both worked well. Publish an web service by myself, then consume it with a client. It works. But for this external wsdl published by USA weather forecast, it doesn't work. Navigate to http://www.webservicex.net/WeatherForecast.asmx?WSDL through firefox, and right response is returned. I wonder why connection timed out occurred and how to deal with it.
