Aironet 350 AP not sending signals to laptops !

Hi all,
This is the 1st time I use this service...I hope someone / Cisco can help me.
Background
We have Airnonet 350 AP system + PCI adapter + PCMCIA. We live in a 2 story house. The Server (Win XP) is downstairs connected to the Livebox ( France Telecom )for internet conncetion. All PC downstairs connect to this livebox and work very well. But, upstairs the portable PC receive weak signals, so internet is slow or often none at all. We installed the Aironet 350 AP upstair in a central location to receive signals from the Server which is in turn equipped with a PCI adapter to send to the 350 AP on 1st floor. It works beautifuly and efficiently for 4 years already..
NOW
Last week I changed the Server PC to a newer one, also running on Win XP. I transfered the PCI adapter to it, and installed the software for adapter from Cisco website (Win-Client-802.11a-b-Ins-Wizard-v1701). The Associations between the Server / PCI adpter, Airnonet 350 AP, and 2 laptops on 1st floor are excellent. But, the Laptops on 1st floor just could not have access to internet ! I have tried many different manipulations.. but no success.
Has anyone come across this pbs ? Do we need to do something to the 350 AP ? if yes, what is it ? Is there an upgarade of s/w for the AP 350 ? Etc ...
I'd loved to hear from you to help me to solve my pbs, otherwise my 2 daughters just do not have internet connections !
Thank you in advance.

Tks John for your suggestion.
However, the 2 laptops were working well already while they were connected wirelessly to the old server, except the speed was not so fast.
Seeing the new server giving us connection pbs for upstairs, I have gone backward, and put back the PCI adapter to my old server which sends signals to the Cisco AP upstairs. Now, both laptops upstairs are receiving internet and working correctly. To improve the speed up of this old server, I have removed all unnecessary programs etc ...so the speed is better. The girsl are happy.
The only down side is that I have got this brand new server / PC which is not doing what it is bought for ..
Frankly, I am still at a loss why the new server does not work with the Cisco AP !
Do you still have some other ideas ..?
Thank you in advance.

  • MacBook not sending signal to external display - was working fine before.

hi guys, i have a unibody macbook and i've been hooking it up to my tv for almost 2 years now using the mini display port to hdmi adapter and hdmi to my television.
tonight the macbook randomly stopped sending signals to the tv. i tried two tvs with two different display adapters as well as a DVI monitor.
the displays are detected in osx but there is just no signal sending to it. anyone have any ideas? did my mini display port just die? i've tried several cables/adapters.

    Hey,
I just experienced a similar problem as the original poster, except that I'm using a minidisplayport - DVI adapter and not HDMI. Been working fine on my external screen for 2 months now and suddenly the external says no signal?
Macbook still flashes a blue screen when plugging in the adapter but does not detect the external. Haven't ruled out that the adapter is busted yet, but worked fine earlier.
I tried resetting the PRAM without any change.
Any kind of software / hardware problems on the macbook?
    Any thoughts?

  • Casio CDP-100 not sending signal into Logic Pro...

    Hi All,
I'm new at Logic Pro and trying to figure out how I can get my Casio CDP to send signal into my Logic Pro studio. I have an Mbox 2 and have connected the Mbox and Casio with Midi in/out and the Mbox is connected to my Mac through USB chord. What am I missing/doing wrong? Thanks for the help!

trying to figure out how I can get my Casio CDP to send signal into my Logic Pro
Here's something you could try. (These instructions are basically for 10.6; in 10.5 it's similar.) Find this program:
    Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup
Launch it. Use the Window menu to show and view the MIDI window (which is probably called "MIDI Studio"). It should look something like this (this screenshot is from 10.5; in 10.6 it's similar):
You should see that icon marked Mbox 2. Do you?

  • 2.1 not sending signal

I have the the Sound Blaster X-Fi Professional.
I also have the Creative T20 Gigaworks speakers...
I also have a Polk Powered Sub Woofer
I'm trying to setup 2., with the audio card sending mids and highs to the T20 speakers...and the second output sending the lows to my powered sub woofer.
Is this possible?... I have it set on 2.0/2., but my sub woofer doesn't receive any signal.
    Thanks for your help.

Just because AT&T says the area has coverage does not make it so. This is especially true indoors where in some areas the 3G coverage in only at 1900 MHZ which has difficulty penetrating walls.
It might be your phone, so I would try getting it swapped. But it might just be the network, and there might not a whole lot that can be done but dropping the phone. If phone calls are priority you can switch off 3G which might make things better. If that's not what you want switch phones, and if that doesn't work switch providers...
While I do think the update has helped many people, it clearly can't solve everyone's.

  • Mini Displayport to DVI Adapter not sending signal to DVI Monitor

I have a dell monitor connected to my Thunderbolt Display that will not get a signal.  The component string looks like this
MBP - Thunderbolt Display- Mini Displayport to DVI adapter- Dell 22" DVI monitor.
I would like to use this monitor as a third monitor instead of collecting dust.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • Apple tv does not send signal to tv

My apple tv turns on but tv does not detect any signal. I have done everything the manual says, including resetting through iTunes. Any solution?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Check that the HDMI/Component cable is correctly seated at both ends.
Try disconnecting the cable and connecting it again.
    Try another cable.
Try the Apple TV with another TV

  • Imac with radeon x 1600 graphics card will not send signal to projector

I am using an Imac running Boot Camp. The Imac has a Radeon X 1600 graphics card. I have installed the latest driver in XP. The Device manager recognizes the correct card.
The problem: I cannot get our projector to pick up the signal from the Imac. I have systematically gone through all the display settings. Others who have similar problems seem to have graphics cards with additional software that allows them to select a clone display feature.
Any thoughts? The projector works fine with a macbook running bootcamp (xp).

Hi Cathy and welcome to Discussions,
sounds to me as if you are missing the Catalyst Control Center, which usually provides these kinds of setting.
You can download both Drivers and the Control Center from the ATI/AMD website here: http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/mac/bootcamp-xp.html
The Control Center needs a Windows where the .NET Framework (2.0 at least) is already installed before installing the Control Center, otherwise it does not work.
You can download that from Microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd -aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en
    Hope it helps.
    Good Luck

  • New! MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 MOBO/Will not send signal to monitor/

Hi there, I've tried  few topics already on the forum but none were unique to my problem. Let's see if I can make this as clear as possible.
I bought this MOBO in order to run a computer that was given to me. Here are the Specs:
    AMD Athlon x2
    400W PSU
    Nvidia 9800GT
    250GB Seagate HDD
Every time I start the computer the fans turn on and even the CD Drive Operates, however my monitor has gotten "No Signal" every time. This is a standard VGA going straight into the motherboard. Tried 2 different monitors with the same result. Even tried without the video card in, no signal.
Now, I have another monitor with me that supports DVI. So now I have tried DVI from the monitor to the GPU, still, no signal.
NOTE* Before you say that BIOS won't run because of the PSU, this computer ran with a better MOBO and only a 280W PSU for about a year before it conked out.
I suspect that I have installed the MOBO wrong, but I'm interested in what the community has to say.

    Let's try this again.
    Here is my PSU
    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4974033&CatId=1078
    Max AMPS: 20A
    The power connector is in.
    CPU
    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1315482&CatId=4919
    RAM is KingstonKVR 2GB
I will try running it outside of the case with only one RAM card. I still find the CPU dosent have enough power theory odd only because it utilized only a 280W power supply in the past. Only the MOBO and PSU are new.

  • Mac not sending signal to external monitor

Hi, I have a 2010 Macbook pro and I'm trying to use my acer monitor as an external for additional desktop space. I've done it before (about a year ago) and it worked perfectly fine, but for some reason when I plug in the cable (it's a DVI) it just lights up my monitor which says no signal, and the mac screen turns blue (as if it were going to readjust the screen for another monitor), but then it just goes back to the normal desktop. I can't move the mouse off screen and the monitor displays nothing. Any ideas?

Sorry I couldn't figure out how to edit the above, but I forgot to mention that after unplugging and plugging it in several times I actually got the monitor to work and display things and I dragged some stuff over to it, but there was a dialogue box about displays I couldn't close and when i clicked "detect monitors" it ended up shutting it down again and I haven't seen it work since.

  • New ENVY PC is not sending signal to second monitor. Need a fix.

Hi everyone, how do I get a second monitor to work on a new HP ENVY H8 1420T with Windows 8. As far as I can tell the PC recognizes the second monitor but no signal is received/sent at/to the second monitor. This model has two DVI ports, the second, I presume, both are for monitors. The second DVI connector requires an adapter for the VGA connector from the monitor.
    Thanks for your help

Have you tested if there's a signal if you use only the second monitor at boot up?
And you don't have a additional graphics card installed, right?

  • Using Aironet 350 PCMCIA wifi card

i am trying to set up Aironet 350 PCMCIA card running on my laptop. from what i have seen people have been using airo_cs module with this card but when i do:
    modprobe airo_cs
    dmesg shows:
    airo(): Probing for PCI adapters
airo(): Finished probing for PCI adapters
so maybe this is not the correct driver for PCMCIA card. the only thing that dmesg shows when inserting the card is:
pccard: PCMCIA card inserted into slot 0
but pccardctl info and ident show no info.
    any ideas are appreciated

thanks for the response. lscpi does not show any information on the card either.

  • Desktop not sening signal to monito

ji have a poavillion elite e9300z desktop that is not sending signal to monitor.  monitor works on  other computer and tried second one on desktop and still no signal

    Hello thepain77009,
I see that you are having problems with your computer not sending a signal to a monitor.
You have done a lot of the troubleshooting for this issue and narrowed it down to an issue with the computer and not the monitor. I have this link that has some more troubleshooting steps that may help solve your problem.
Follow the steps in the link and let me know what happens. It is a big possibility the video card needs to be replaced.
