Aironet bridge 1310 - Speed rate

Hello,
I have installed a point-to-point link with two aironet bridge 1310 and Yagi antenna.
My question is, given some different allowed speed rates, how can I check, using or CLI commands or web interface, at which speed rate my two bridges are effectively working ?
Thanks,
Marcello

From the CLI, do "show dot associat" first. Determine the MAC address of the associated bridge. Then, do a "show dot associat xxxx.xxxx.xxxx" where xxxx.xxxx.xxxx is the MAC address of the associated bridge.
From GUI, click no "ASSOCIATION" in the main page. Then, click on the MAC address of the associated bridge.
From both, the "Current Rate" is shown.

    Hi,
When I configure an ip address on the interface 0 and I then try to ping an ip address I get the follwing message:
    ap#ping 10.70.20.1
% Unrecognized host or address, or protocol not running.
    What is wrong?
    Thx,

    Hi Marc,
this question is a bit flavoured like this:
"My car is broken down! What can i do?"
    - Maybe you have no gateway configured.
    - Maybe the wrong interface configured
    - Maybe ....
What interface 0 have you configured? FastEthernet, Dot11 ????
Please give us some more details. Post your configuration (show run).
    Do you use VLANs?

  • Can Bridge Label and Rate Pictures on removable CD, DVD...?

    Adobe Help file states so:
"You can label and rate folders as well as files. You can even label and rate files and folders on read‑only media, such as a CD."
but adobe techs can't figure out why it is not working.
seems to somehow work manually in certain workspaces (vert film strip, light table...) by sliding mouse over the 5 white dots. but pull down menu ( although not grayed out) will not register rating on pictures. and most important, the filter doesn't recognize them anyway, so pointless to sort.
version: Bridge cs3 2.2.1.9, all recent patches updated.
this had been exceptionally useful in past through the old build-in photoshop feature to rank thousands of pictures from client or photographer cds by building ranking into cache and allowing for sorting pictures before opening, saving, retouching in photoshop whilst still navigating through cd roots.
only recommendation from techs is to burn entire content of each cd onto your hard drive, then rank them, then re-burn a new cd with metadata adjusted if needed. if any of you deal with thousands of pictures coming from photographers and clients, i dont' have to tell you this is a huge asinine...
any idea much appreciated to solve the problem.

That is normal behavior I think, if you open a folder with only subfolders there are no cached files for Bridge to read. I don't know exactly with CD but if you let Bridge build the cache for that folder the filter probably appears after showing only no rating.
If you have otherwise problems with filter or anything else first is to use the menu tools - cache - purge cache for folder, if this is not working refresh preferences with holding down the option key while restarting Bridge and choose refresh preferences out of the three options

  • Air Bridge 1310 - Configuring QOS on Point to Point

I have 2 BR1310 Air Bridge's configured for a point to point connection, one is root, one is non-root. In configuring QOS for VOIP for the first time, I'm looking for a best practice configuration.
Behind each bridge is a 3560 switch that has QOS configured on each switchport. Our environment consists of 7960 desk phones.

    Hi Michael,
    Have a look at these docs. Hopefully they will help get you started;
Cisco Aironet 1300 Series Outdoor Access Point/Bridge Software Configuration Guide, 12.3(4) JA
    Chapter 14 - Configuring QoS
This chapter describes how to configure quality of service (QoS) on your access point/bridge. With this feature, you can provide preferential treatment to certain traffic at the expense of others. Without QoS, the access point/bridge offers best-effort service to each packet, regardless of the packet contents or size. It sends the packets without any assurance of reliability, delay bounds, or throughput.
    From this doc;
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/1300/12.3_4_JA/configuration/guide/o13qos.html
    Giving Priority to Voice Traffic
This section demonstrates how you can apply a QoS policy to your wireless network's voice VLAN to give priority to wireless phone traffic.
In this example, the network administrator creates a policy named voice_policy that applies voice class of service to traffic from Spectralink phones (protocol 119 packets). The user applies the voice_policy to the incoming and outgoing radio ports and to the outgoing Ethernet port for VLAN 77.
Use the Apply Policies to Interface/VLANs drop-down menus to apply policies to the access point Ethernet and radio ports. If VLANs are configured on the access point, drop-down menus for each VLANs' virtual ports appear in this section. If VLANs are not configured on the access point, drop-down menus for each interface appear.

  • Measuring signal strength between 2 bridges (1310s)

    Hi:
I've been experiencing sporadic connectivity issues (losing association between root & non-root bridges, cannot ping remote bridge) at one of my customer's site. I am looking for a tool that will allow me to measure signal strength or noise ratio between 2 1310 wireless bridges. Does anyone know of any tools that will allow me to gather such information? Thanks for any feedback.

As mentioned above, you can look at the RSSI values; the traditional instrument-of-choice would be something like a spectrum analyzer ($$$ - possible to rent) connected to the antenna.
A spectrum analyzer will give you a sweep of the band and show you the signal strength in terms of db(microvolts) or dBm (power relative to a milliwatt) and will also show any persistent interference. Since you are seeing the direct signal, it can also be used to tweak the aim of the antennas as well (remember that there may also be differences in elevation as well as azimuth, so check the up-down as well as the left-right).
You will usually need someone at the other end to assist in verifying that you are looking at the correct signal.
If your bridges support a mode that permit simultaneous AP & bridge operation, something like NetStumbler (free, http://www.netstumbler.com )can give you signal and interference information. I don't think it supports bridge mode signaling (it might, I don't know), that's why it might be necessary to flip on AP mode for the testing.
    Good Luck

  • Turning on cisco aironet bridge without any antenna

I'm going to test two cisco aironet brigde with 21dB solid dish antenna to connect two buildings.
But, as first test, I want to config everything in the office, without mounting antennas.
Is it possible to turn on the bridge without antenna or this would damage it?

According to Cisco documentation, you should not power up an access point without it being connected to an antenna, so as to not burn the antenna leads inside the AP. Other documentation suggests that if you are going to power an AP without an antenna being connected, the AP should be broadcasting its signal at no more than 5 mW. This is supposedly not enough power to burn the leads.
It will not hurt the AP to be powered up for the configuration and testing phase. I would not allow it to run for more than one hour without antenna's connected though. I have configured over 800 AP's in the last year and 95% were not connected to antenna's during configuration.
Also, you may want to consult Cisco's site for the wattage setting with using the 21 dBi dish. I think the max is 20 mW when using the dish, based on the 1W max specified by the FCC.
Good Luck, I hope this helps.

  • Bridge 1310 wire connection problem?

We have implemented new cisco 1310 bridges (2 root bridge/13 non-root bridge). And connectivity and reachability between bridges is OK, but the issue that
1.when you try to access the root bridge it is hang for some time especially when you access through web interface, and when you access by web you lose connection (drop packets ping).
    2. when you try to create browse through web, the bridge go hang again.
-Already I've upgraded all bridges image to "c1310-k9w7-tar.123-7.JA5", and problem was resolved for some time but now it is again appears.
    3. when you try to connect to non-root bridge is smothly acceable and no connection issues, and already end users are working fine.
Anyone experinced such an issue or can help on figure out??

How long are the cables?  Maybe they have bad connections now.  Replace them.

  • UHS-3 U3 transfer speed rate in microSDXC Extreme cards (SDSDQX-064G-U46A) - Are they UHS 3 or 1?

Hi there, This is a question for SanDisk engineers (hope Dr. Lucky , the wise SanDisk master can respond :-) The question is regarding the SanDisk microSDXC Extreme , part number is SDSDQX-064G-U46A and EAN code is 619659096014.
Looking at the front of the blister you can see UHS-1 (U1) labelled at the blister and also at the microSD card , I know that SanDisk has launched another serial of the same card with UHS-3 (U3) enabled , but at this time all the official SanDisk suppliers in the EU only have in stock the UHS-1 version. The prroblem is that the official pictures provided by SanDisk (Aprimo portal) appears the UHS-3 not the UHS-1 as the stock I have.  I´ve got a customer that complains about the UHS-1 transfer rate as he needs the card for 4K recording, I know that 4K recording is valid with UHS-1 cards as well. I´ve seen that Amazon has listed the UHS-3 (U3) version, and I wantedf to know if the card is the same despite the blister shows UHS-3 (U3)  or UHS-1 (U1). As far as I understand i think the card is the same as the read speed of 80MB/s appears in both versions (U3 and U1). Could you please clarify if there are 2 different versions of the mpn SDSDQX-064G-U46A? I guess this is a SanDisk commercial issue and the card is the same but I want a official response from SanDisk in oder I can clarify to my customers. In the past SanDisk launched many different versions of the same card (i.e. the microSD Ultra 64GB, android versions..etc..) This is a picture of the UHS-1 version :  And this is a picture of the UHS-3 (U3) version:  Thanks in advance for your response, Eduardo (MemoryVal)

    Hi memoryval,
The change fro U1 to U3 was a blind roll and the SKU has not changed. The cards are the same in reference to speed the only change was from U1 to U3. Unfortunately from a part number ordering perspective you will not be able to distinguish the newer U3 cards from the older U1 cards.

  • How to apply same speed rate to several clips?

    Hi,
Say I have 10 clips on a timeline, how I can change their speed to 70% or 43% or whatever, but all together?
    Thank you
    -T

Ok, the solution is to use Compound clip.
    1. Choose group of clips,
    2. Press Option+G (or right click Compound clip),
then all the compund clip will consist of grouped clips, but will behave as one.
    3. Apply the effect you want.
    Profit.

  • Current xserve raid speed rate not fast enough

    guys,
my xserve raid having problem when i edit HD project 1920*1080, its ok when i edit, but when i view all 30 mins movie, its hang when play till 5 mins of the movie, and keep on hanging after that, why is that? is it because the setting of my xserve raid got problem? read n write speed not fast enough?
    help plzzzz

Both the write cache ticks should be on, The allow host cache flushing should be off. The use steady streaming mode tick should be off also. (So the pattern of th ticks is: on, off, on, off)
The stripes stting depends on the cache size of the disk. On disks with lower than 16 MB, the 8 stripes setting is right. On disks from 16MB cache you can use the 128 stripes setting (In general the 750 GB disks have 16 MB, the others have lower).

  • 350 aironet bridge access issues

I have been given a configureded 350 seires bridge (static Ip address) that I am trying to install on my home network. But when using the device Mac address with the Cisco IPSU software to get the ip address assigned to the bridge, there is no reply. How can I reset this bridge to DHCP so I can install it on my home network?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks

    Hi
(1)Are you using the bridge with PoE or AC adapter?
(2)There is a reset button on your bridge.Try inserting a pin into that and see.
(3)Third option is to connect through console and reset that.

  • Shared office internet/bridge mode speed issues

I recently moved into an office that shares Comcast internet among various offices. When I setup my airport extreme it automatically set to bridge mode -- something about assigning a unique IP address.
I get fast upload but slow download (15 mbps upload, 1 mbps download). When I plugin directly via ethernet cable there is no issue. So it's an airport extreme/wifi issue. Any fixes?

Sorry, I actually can't plug my computer in because there is no ethernet (macbook pro 2013).
Is the main router also providing a wireless signal?
    I don't know.
How many other wireless networks can you see if you do a scan?
How do I check/why does this matter?
How far is the computer from the AirPort Extreme?  Line of sight between the computer and Extreme?
10 feet clear sight. Again, upload is fast 15, download is slow.
Are there any cordless phones there?
    no
    WiFi security or cameras?
    no
    BlueTooth devices?
    no
Any metal cabinets near the AirPort Extreme?
    no
Are you using a Mac or PC?   What operating system?
    MAC OSX

  • How to/What is the best way to do a game speed rate...

I've been trying to do a game for J2ME, but i realized that some actions like moving the sprite around would need to do things like "thread.sleep(etc)" if i want to actually see it moving, i've tried to do directily and nothing happened on screen, or happened so fast that i didn't see. But as far as i went trying to do something to work i couldn't come with a good solution for my problem. I did one that "worked" but i could only get the ship to fire one shot at time that would move on screen, as soon as i shoot again the other sprite would stop moving and became stuck on screen.
So please, anyone know a good sample that can give me a path to follow? I'm sorry i don't have the codes anymore i modified and right now i have a non working code and totally diferent from before.
    Thank you.

I don't do J2ME, but the best way I've run across is offscreen rendering and javax.swing.Timer
If there is an equivalent in J2ME I highly recommend it.

Make sure to double checlk the cables connecting the Antennas to your Bridges if you have -R version of the 1310 bridges.
Your issue is very simple , non-root cannot detect the presence of the root ( no 802.11 frames advertising the same configured SSID ) --> Accordingly keeps scanning indefintely on all the channels of a certain band.
When selecting the channel on root make sure that it is clean as well on the non-root side to allow the non-root to connect properly wihtout having the info sent by root distorted due to noise , interference or any other RF impairments on certain channel. So you can run the carrier busy test many times on both sites and select the clarest channel to proceed with after making sure that everything else such LOS, HW status ......etc is ok.
