AirPlay error

Can view photo but can't view video using AirPlay from iPad to ATV.  I get the message "An error occurred loading this content.  Try again later." Please help.

I had the same error on my Macbook Pro. Restaring the Apple TV fixed the error.

I don't have an Apple TV and since upgrading my iPad neither netflix or NBC will stream via my tv hookup. Both give me an "airplay" error. I've been using an HDMI cable plugged into a lightning adapter that previously worked fine. Is anyone else having this problem? Have you found a solution?

Yes I am having this problem exclusively with the NBC app.  Have you found a solution?

  • HT204291 Apple TV airplay error?

I get an error when running a video via airplay from my iPad 2;  Other videos run fine.  This one, from the CBS TV website, gives an error. Is video too high resolution?

  • Airplay Error -15000

Connecting to external airplay speakers (pioneer x-smc3-s) on my home wi-fi network results in the above itunes error:
An error occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device “Pioneer”. An unknown error occurred (-15000).
This occurs when trying to Airplay from iTunes on my iMac. When trying to Airplay from my iPhone 5 or iPad 2, the speakers show, but attempting to connect drops the signal and it reverts back to the built-in speakers of the device. Airplay to Apple TV 2 works just fine from all devices.
I am curious to know if anyone has had a similar issue and what they did to resolve it. Also, I am curious as to what the error actually is (-15000).
The community's help is greatly appreciated. It is driving me nuts!
    Thanks!

I have no solution, but am running into the same problem. Pretty much out of the blue (at least this particular issue). The only clue may be proximity to recent iTunes upgrade (11.0.2). I looked into re-installing iTunes but it is difficult becuase its components are deeply embeded within the OS (this sadly, is a page taken right out of Microsoft's book).
I should say though, that I can play directly to my devices from my iMac (I have two connected via AirPort Express devices) using the "Sound" configuration. In other words, the AirPlay system itself is reasonably healthy. So the culprit seems to be iTunes.
That said, AirPlay has been flakey all along (I installed it over xmas). It was plagued with numerous problems - some of them difficult to solve and required some crazy configuration changes to my router that the average person would know nothing about. But I stabilized it somehow, until this one came along - last night. I'm a pretty savvy user. So I can't imagine how the average user is dealing with this platform.
Very dissapointing Apple product (including the known to be buggy iOS remote app) and probably reflects an organization that may be losing its way. Bloated. Great idea that's poorly executed. I should have read these discussion groups before investing the time (and money) in AirPlay.

  • Itunes and Airplay -  Error code -15000

I have a windows PC and also airport express, apple TV and i-Home airplay speaker. When I select the airplay icon within i-tunes to play to any/all of these devices I get error code -15000. Note this set up worked before the latest i-tunes software update.
I get the same issue (well no sound comes out of the atv/airport express etc ) if I try and use a "remote" app on my i-pad or i-phone to control what is playing on the ATV/Airport express etc (I also note that the although it continues to show the track continuing to play within the "remote" app (on the i-phone/ i-pad) -  the song seems to stall in the i-tunes running on my laptop. When using the remote and selecting and de-selecting the ATV/AE they seem to connect / disconnect - ie the blue tick marks select and de-selct but no music comes out oof the devices. I also hear the speakers attached to the AE "bomp" as they coinnect /disconnect.
If I select the airplay icon when playing music directly on my i-phone/i-pad I can select any of the individual speakers (ATV/AE) and they connect and play wirelessly perfectly fine.
    Any help much Appreciated.

Both airport express and apple tv work fine with my iphone and ipad as well as streaming video from itunes library to apple tv from the Macbook. I have tried the previously posted solutions, but nothing has worked yet.

  • AirPlay error 15006 when attempting to play from iTunes

    I am using a 2011 MacBook Pro running OS X 10.7.4 an iTunes 10.6.1.
My wireless network consists of a Xfinity/Arris TG852G/CT modem/router and a AirPort Express (firmware v 7.6.1).  I have firewall turned off on the router and on my Mac.
Whenever I attempt to play via AirTunes from my iTunes on my MacBook Pro I get the following error message:
An unknown error (-15006) occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device “AirPort Express”.
The strange thing is that I am able play music via AirPlay from my iPad or iPhone with no issues.
I've tried resetting the AirPort Express multiple times and rebooting everything (Mac, Router, AirPort Express).  Still this issue persists.  (I have also tried using different AirPort Express, same results).
    Any suggestions?

Doesn't work for me, still get this and then everything you described:
Never get Orange home broadband is my advice!

    Hi
I don't know if you're still having this issue but there is a way round it as I'm having the same troubles.
I've just spoken to Apple about it and found out:
    – If you have a Mac made before Mid-2011, it doesn't have a piece of hardware needed to take advantage of the 'Airplay mirroring'
    – So you can update to a later version 10.6.8+ but this won't help at all
    The way round it:
    – Download 'Airfoil' and install this
    – You can then play music from any defined source (Spotify, Quicktime etc) through your Airplay connected speakers
So sadly, for those have a Mac from before Mid-2011 there's isn't an option that's as easy as Option-click on the sound icon to switch to Airplay speakers.
Hope that helps, I can now get on with the rest of my day now after sorting this out.

  • Unknown airplay error - found the cause but what is the solution??

I am having issues with using airplay from iTunes to and apple TV 3
    Set up below:
    iTunes 10.6.3
    Apple TV 3
    Macbook Pro with Lion
All software etc is up to date with latest version
This problem only occurs when the macbook is running on battery power (ie not plugged in to mains). I can start to stream music as expected, eventually the macbook will go into power saving mode and turn off the screen etc. The song that is currently playing when this happens will continue to play on the apple TV. However, as soon as the song finishes, it will fail to stream the next one in the playlist. Returning to the computer and trying to reinitiate airplay throws up unknown error -15000. The only way to get it working again is to turn off the wifi and then turn it on again.
I am certain that the problem is linked to the wifi on the macbook going into some form of power saving mode, which it will do even if i am using the computer but not actively using the wifi (as it has just done again as I am typing this message). Clearly whilst in this mode there is reduced functionality and airplay will not work, and the computer is not reactivating the wifi to its fully functioning state once the next song starts
Seems like this problem was flagged a while ago but no solution was forthcoming. This is an old thread on older version of os x / itunes etc but I still have the problem 3 years later!

Any ideas on how to fix this??
    thanks in advance

    Hi Sarah,
I was wondering what the bar on top is called.
    It's called the menubar.
I want to know, because I cannot figure out how in the heck I moved things around.
Simply press and hold the Command(Apple) key while clicking on any item in the menubar and you'll be able to move it or remove it when dragging it to the desktop.
Also, has anyone found a solution to the PB not wanting to wake up after the installation of extra memory problem???
I've never experienced this problem. Did the symptoms also exist prior to installing the extra memory? Have you tried removing the extra memory to see if the symptoms persist? If, after removing the additional memory, all is well then you may have a "dodgy" module.

  • Apple TV3 airplay error

My Apple TV3 used to sync youtube videos played on my Iphone 5s via airplay mode. But, it suddenly doesn't work out anymore. Can someone solve my problems. thanks!

    YuShenn wrote:

Nope, never happened.  Nothing is synced to an ATV.
Content can be sent to the ATV via AirPlay.
The vast majority of AirPlay issues are network related.  Power cycle the ATV and router.

  • AirPlay Screen Mirroring (Mavericks) disconnects frequently with "Feedback taking too long to send" message

My company has several TVs with AppleTVs (3rd generation units) connected in our conference rooms so we can "Screen Mirror" our Mac laptops via AirPlay during meetings. Many employees have complained that AirPlay Screen Mirroring drops frequently during meetings for no apparent reason.
In attempts to determine the cause of the issue, I removed the AppleTV units from Wi-Fi and hard-wired them all to the LAN (100Mbps/Full duplex, no switchport errors seen on the Cisco switch). I upgraded the AppleTVs to the latest firmware. I had our AppleTV users ensure they were running MacOS Mavericks with the latest software updates installed. I had the Mac laptops hard-wired into the LAN during meetings in the conference rooms. None of these changes resolved the AirPlay issue.
I reviewed the MacOS "/var/log/system.log" file from the laptops of several users that reported issues. I found a pattern that seemed to indicate that the "coreaudiod" process reported "Feedback taking too long to send" several times before the AppleTV connection was terminated. Also, from a network trace (using "tcpdump") taken during an unexpected AirPlay Screen Mirroring disconnection, I could see that the Mac laptop sent a TCP FIN packet to the AppleTV unit (this would indicate that the MacOS laptop initiated the closing of the AirPlay connection).
I have included the relevant log file entries below. Please note that the LAN internal to our company is "solid" and there have been no connectivity issues detected or reported during the times the AirPlay sessions were disconnected.
I believe I have found a workaround to this issue. By going into "System Preferences", "Sound" and then changing the "Output" device BACK to the "Internal Speakers" (rather than the AirPlay destination), the AirPlay Screen Monitoring connection seems to remain stable.
    My questions are:
    - is anyone else experiencing this type of problem? any other solutions recommended?
    - is there a way to change the AirPlay defaults so that Screen Mirroring only sends the video (not audio)?
    - does anyone know what the log file entries indicate (like, what does "Feedback taking too long to send...." mean)?
    - any fix planned for this issue?

I'm currently still experiencing this as well. I've confirmed it occurs on 10.9.1, 10.9.2, and 10.9.3 on MacBook Pro Retina's, Mid-2012 and 2013 MacBooks. It happens on multiple ATV's not just one, all are updated to 6.1.1 and a simple reboot seems to fix it temporarily but it does come back. All the ATV's are connecting to the network via Wireless not Ethernet. These are 3rd Gen ATV's but I checked the serial number and these do not match the bad batch of Apple TV's from 2013 that were offered up for Replacement for Apple due to the bad firmware update. None of the computers have the Firewall turned on. Here's the two logs that we always find after the issue occurs (logs are recent, happened this morning):
    5/30/14 8:57:36.017 AM coreaudiod[183]: 2014-05-30 08:57:36.016946 AM [AirPlay] ### Feedback taking too long to send (30 seconds, 17 total)
    5/30/14 8:57:36.332 AM coreaudiod[183]: 2014-05-30 08:57:36.331492 AM [AirPlay] ### Feedback failed: -6723/0xFFFFE5BD kCanceledErr
The user will get disconnected from Airplay anywhere between 30 seconds to 3 minutes after logging on and can reconnect but then once again get disconnected after the same time period. One interesting thing to note is that when the Feedback Taking Too Long to send error starts occuring and the countdown to disconnect start ticking down to 30, its solely referring to Audio not being sent over the network and Video is working just fine. If I try to play sound I get another log and the sound doesn't play through the speakers. After a reboot, sound works fine and the Feedback Error's do not show up. I've also tried switching to Internal Speakers (since it defaultly switches to Airplay Speakers) after connecting to Airplay and seeing the Feedback timer start in the Console Logs but even after that the log continues to saw its taking too long to send and disconnects in 30 seconds.
This issue has been ongoing for months, I've got a ticket logged as far back as January with this occuring but its infrequent enough that we've just restarted and moved on. I'd say its an issue that occurs to about 5%-10% of meetings but that's an entire meeting that doesn't have the ability to Airplay until someone comes down and reboots it.
I don't often post in this forum but its still an active issue with no resolution, proof that its occuring on other people's systems, and no firmware updates having been released to correct it. It'd be nice to know of any workarounds other than having to buy some lamp timers for each conference room just to get a functional ATV or putting up a sign that says hey if you get disconnected every 3 minutes, reboot the ATV. The whole reason we're using Apple products is for ease of use otherwise I'd put together a much cheaper solution myself. Any help or recommended troubleshooting steps would be fantastic at this point.

  • Unexpected error on Netflix?

I keep getting the same error, and sometimes I can't even get the playback to go. The error code is S7363-1266-0000230D, and when I googled it, it said that it's an airplay error, even though I have no extra displays, or even a TV connected to my MacBook Pro. What can i do to fix this?

I encountered this also.  When it occurred, I'd had a second window open to a subscription video service (crunchyroll).  When I closed the crunchyroll window, Netflix worked fine. When I reopened the crunchyroll window and restarted Netflix, the error message came back (even when the crunchyroll window was minimized).  So perhaps you should confirm that you only have one window with DRM-licensed content?

  • Web video plays on iPhone but gets error message when sent to Apple TV via AirPlay

I belong to a fee-based subscription video site. Videos play perfectly on my iMac, iPhone 4S, and iPad 1. However, when I try to play them on my Apple TV by sending them via AirPlay from my iPhone or iPad, I get the "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later." message. Videos from all other sites (YouTube, Facebook, other subscription sites) all work fine. I've tried restating, resetting, unplugging the Apple TV, cable router, and Airport Extreme. This problem affects both my Apple TV 2 and Apple TV 3. Any ideas why I'm having this trouble with video from this one site? Is there some kind of video format that works on an iPhone but not an Apple TV? Is the site perhaps purposely preventing AirPlay streaming?

Hairpants: I have the exact same problem with my iPhone, but only on certain Apple TV's. YouTube (via Safari) and TED (app) both play at home fine, but I get the "error occurred loading this content" on the ATV at work. Very frustrating.
Winston: I wouldn't think an app wouldn't "block" AirPlay, but rather wouldn't build support into the app. But I am not an app developer, so I'm just guessing. Example: the new YouTube app only support audio over AirPlay, not video. You don't get an error on your ATV, it just doesn't push the video data.

  • ITunes 10.4 "Network Error" when Airplaying to an Airport Express

When I try selecting my Airport Express as the AirPlay destination in iTunes 10.4, I get the error message:
An error occured while connecting to the AirPlay device "XXXXX". The network connection failed.
I am able to connect to the Airport Express using Airport Utility. I can stream to the Airport Express using my iPhone. Only iTunes has the problem. iTunes can stream to an AppleTV with no problems.
    Configuration:
    Lion
    iTunes 10.4
Airport Express/g with 6.3 firmware (tried wired and wireless configuration)
Main router is an Airport Extreme 1Gb ethernet

Same here. The funny thing is, I also have Airfoil that works fine -- I set the input as System Audio and it plays through the Airport Express just fine, so the "network" is working just fine, it is iTunes that seems to have the problem.
