Airplay Icon does not show in computer
The aiplay icon does not show in the computer but it does show on itunes. My computer is a Macbook Pro, Retina Mid 2012, with a processor
2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 and Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. My software is up to date and it is Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63). The software of my apple tv is already up to date. I already checked in system preferences and display and it doesn't show the icon to enable the airplay. My computer and TV are using the same wireless.

AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, OS X 10.8 or better and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). You can see which Mac you have and which operating system you are using by selecting 'About this Mac' from the Apple menu in the top left corner of your Mac and selecting the 'More Info' button.

HT204291 Airplay icon does not show up in itunes after upgrade to 11.1.3.8
I upgraded my itunes to 11.1.3.8 and my airplay icon no longer shows up in itunes on my windows PC. it works from all of my other airplay devices ipad, iphone, and ipod. I can't output to my apple tv from my PC. I have restarted my apple TV, my PC and itunes several times.
I'd try updating to version 11.1.5.5:

IOS 8.2 iphone 6 airplay icon does not show
The tilte says it all:
After updating to iOS 8.2 my Icons for AirPlay are no longer shown.
I have 3 receivers in my house, none of them are shown. My Mac still shows them and I can play music to them.
On the iPhone 6 nothing seems to work.
What can I do? Is this an iOs 8.2 bug?

I just verified that i have an early 2011 Macbook Pro and the airplay icon does not appear. i also have a 2013 Macbook Pro which shows the airplay icon. do i need to enable airplay on my early 2011 or is there an update that is needed? Confused.

AirPlay icon is not showing up on either of my ipads.
I just got Apple TV today. Was excited to use airplay and the icon does not show up on either of my iPads. I have looked through all of the troubleshooting. Everything is wirelessly connected to my same home Internet. All devices are updated, I rebooted both iPads and the router. It will work on iTunes on my desktop but not the iPads. I even turned off the fiirewall. I am super frustrated at this point for spending all of this money and it doesn't work!! Please help me if you can!!

My IPad 2, IPhone 3GS ans iPod no longer work with apple TV, I have 2 apple TV in my house and for he last 3 weeks the iPod was the only one we could use for appleTV now none of them works, the apple TV icon does not show up any more. Re-started everything.

RESPONSES:
1) When I set up my iMac, I did not transfer any data directly from my windows PC. I simply used the same iTunes login and account. I have access to all of the files via the "Purchased" section of the iTunes store. If I click "Download Previous Purchases" text, I can download ALL of the purchases I have ever made.
2) I have the Apple TV 2, so good news, question answered. I thought maybe it was the Apple TV 1, but it is the Black model, so bam. Good response for you. Well the whole damned reply is an awesome response, just pointing out that one piece of awesome. I stated that it was an Apple TV 2, and yet you were still good enough to figure I could be mistaken, and provide me with knowleedge just incase.
QUESTIONS:
3) So can my iMac not stream the data directly from itunes, without download? Apple TV can, but perhaps that is something among many things that maker it unique, and awesome.

I work in the computer support section for the Military. The only problem is we use Windows , lol. Well that and i've been gone for nearly 6 months on recover. I go back next month though I hope. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit. iTunes 10.7 And I have a solution:
If found a thread about IPv6.
I followed the same directions on Windows 7 64 bit and it worked.
Disable IPv6 on _all_ of your IP ethernet adapters.
That includes Virtual Machines (VMWare... yes those too), including IPv6 for wireless.
Close iTunes. Start iTunes. Works. Airplay Icon is back.
It looks like All of the AirPlay devices may have to be re-setup. At the very least rebooted.
I found that I had to clompletely erase my DHCP addresses from my (non Apple) router.. and that fixed it. Finally.

Hi, I have a mac book pro running mavericks and recently tried to connect to a 3rd gen apple tv but the airplay icon is not showing up in the top bar. I then tried my girlfriends laptop running mountain lion and it showed up straight away. Any suggestions?
How old is the MacBook Pro? AirPlay is only supported on 2011 and newer models, due to the requirements it has in hardware for graphics acceleration.

Application icon does not show up in iTunes - AdHoc distribution.
I set an icon of size 57 x 57 as the application icon. The icon shows up in the applications list of the iphone. When I bundle it for an adhoc distribution and add it to iTunes, the icon does not show up in the iTunes Application list. But it shows up on the iphone device that I copy to.
Am I missing something?iTunes does not use the icon for display (the icon is only used on the phone itself). In order for iTunes to display the artwork as well, you need to create a 512x512 JPEG file named "iTunesArtwork" (no extension) and copy it into the application bundle (note that you will have to build the application again after this so that the code signature will sign the additional file as well).
This file should be same (other than the name) you load up to iTunesConnect as the 512x512 artwork.

Actual printing is handled by iOS (not by Adobe Reader) via AirPrint over Wi-Fi connection. We've heard from other users about iOS 8 Wi-Fi connectivity problems.
