Airplay not connecting on Itunes 10.6.3.25 on PC despite working on Itunes 11 on Mac

I have just went back to itunes 10.6.3.25 on my PC,as 11 kept freezing whilst trying to play songs and inport from my vast library.
Now my PC wont connect to my living room speakers using my airplay device and says an unknown error has occurred.
The desktop Mac still connects (running Itunes 11)
any Ideas? Ive tried searching but cant find a similar problem. Were there any problems with Airplay and the earlier version? I only upgraded recently to 11 and my previous ,very old itunes 10 had no problem with Airplay.

Apple...poor support at its core.

I have the same problem with my iPhone 4S and new iPad. I tried both actions:
1) Uncheck SYNC MUSIC, allow the music to be deleted from the device, and re-sync. Did not work.
2) Check Match is off (it actually was off in both my iPhone and Ipad, as well as in iTunes). Nothing.
Anyone with this problem has been able to solve it?
I created a new "Test" playlist but did nt sync with any device.

Fascinated and guessing:
Something related to sock(2) because that's not part of your copied info. I'm thinking you've doubled up on sockets and the second socket doesn't exist, meaning you should be connecting to the first socket "mysqld.sock" whether automatic or not.
I've only used GUI tools on purpose, so does this mean you've already got MySQL running and you tried to launch it again manually? Perhaps you already have one instance of a db and you're trying to launch a second instance, and the two can't coexist with a single user local db?
Assuming this is all local, I'd shut down the db service and restart it, out of hand. I've seen similar messages when I set the db to start up on boot, and it didn't finish shutting down when I tried to restart it manually. Usually the GUI won't let me turn it on because it reports it's already running, but in that case it hadn't finished performing what the GUI was reporting.
Just speculating.

Try resetting your iPad bu holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Let the iPad start up and see of you can connect.
Go to Settings>WiFi>Your network name and tap the blue I>Forget this network. Restart the iPad and go back to Settings>WiFi>Tap your network name, enter your password and tap Join.
Or try Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Restart your iPad. Go back to The WiFi setting and try to join your home network again.

Iphone 3Gs won't update i get an error message that says i am not connected to the internet. i HAVE TRIED ALL THE RECOMENDED TROUBLESHOOTING. ITUNES UPDATE WAS SUCCESSFUL AND I AM NOT HAVING ANY TROUBLE WITH THE ITUNES STORE. SO IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE

When I go to sync my iphone 3gs itunes alerts me that an update is available. I check to download an update. I then receive an error message stating that I am not connected to the internet. I am 100% positive that I am connected and before this download I was instructed to update itunes which I did without any problems and restarted my computer. I have tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions. I have no problem syncing or using the itunes store. I just can't get the update. I also have no problems with my iphone connecting to a wireless internet connection. Please Help!!!!!!

When i try to connect my iPhone 4S into iTunes through wifi or USB it will not connect the other thing is when i hook up my iPad into iTunes it will connect through wifi but not USB? Now is this a issue with my iPad and iPhone or is this iTunes?

When i bought my iPhone and my iPad they both were on iOS 7.0.2 i updated them shortly after thinking the new iOS 7.0.4 was better. i see its not but they both worked great with iTunes before and after the update. My question is why is my iPhone not connecting to iTunes? it will not connect through USB or wifi and i know that the setting to do that is turned on. my iPad connects through iTunes through wifi but not USB. This isnt making any sense but i wanna know is this a iTunes issue? or is it my phone and iPad??

This can sometimes be the result of a faulty/damaaged USB sync cable. Do you have another cable you could test it out with?

Airplay not connecting

I work at a school. We have about 30 Apple TVs in different classrooms connected wirelessly to Meraki APs. Some of our instructors are having issues using AirPlay Mirroring from their iOS devices. I should mention that in these classrooms, there are about 30 students each using an iPad while the instructor is trying to connect to the ATV. We have our ATVs configured with a passcode. The instructor will get the prompt for the passcode, they enter it in to their device like normal, but then nothing happens.The device gets the blue Airplay title bar, but the ATV sits on the main screen indefinitely. In this state other users can no longer connect to the ATV because "Someone else is using the device." We've followed the AirPlay troubleshooting document(http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4215), with no luck. Also checked for interference. All devices have a great connection.
Anyone have any ideas as to what's wrong?
I should add that they're 3rd Gen ATVs running 6.0.2 and iPad Airs running 7.0.4.

I am having a simliar problem, but with a twist. Airplay works fine from my iphone to my ATV2, and I can play my MBpro's library in the ATV2 frontend, but I can not for the life of me get airplay to connect from my MBPro to my ATV. This is frustrating!

Why does my app store account tell me that my payment method does not match my bank's records. my card is valid and works for iTunes but not the app store.

I-Pad Mini and Wi-Fi Connection. At one location the I-Pad Mini will not connect to wi-fi, while I-Pad and I-Phone 5 works just fine.
Then at another location the I-Pad Mini works just fine. Are there any suggestions anyone can give me to get I-Pad Mini to work everywhere just like I-Pad and I-Phone 5?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

If your Hotmail account worked previously and it suddenly stopped and gave you that message, then it is likely a problem at th Hotmail end. Did you check the Hotmail website or contact Hotmail directly to see if they are experiencing problems?

AirPlay not connecting to Airport Express

For no apparent reason, my AirPlay will no longer connect to remote speakers.
On my Mac in the office, when I try to send music to AE-connected speakers in my kitchen, I get a -15000 unknown error message.
In Airport Utility everything looks fine - AirPlay is enabled.
Definitely not a speaker issue.

just solved it.
My main Airport Extreme base station was not seeing the AExpress base station.
In Airport Utility, I added the AExpress's Wireless MAC address under the Airport Extreme Airport/Access Control and all is happy now.
Not sure why it suddenly stopped working.
