Airplay sound only showing one output unit

Is there a way to show more than one airplay audio output unit (while holding down alt + click sound icon in menubar).
I now have to go to sound settings to enable the other units. Seems unecessary.

You aren't creating an array. You are giving the variable a string. Pipe $Users to Get-Member to see that it is a string.
Here is an alternate way to do what you want

I am tring to mirror ipad2. I just upgraded to IOS5. Is it an apple TV problem or an Ipad2 problem?

I think i found the solution. I got mine working.
Reboot the iPad by holding down the Home button and power button at the same time for 6 seconds. The screen will turn black, apple logo will appear, and it will restart.
Then restart the Apple TV. (I just unplugged the power)
Then restart your wireless router. (again, I just pulled the plug on it)
After doing that, i tried the mirroring again, and it worked great. As soon as I turned it on, it appeared on my TV and is working very quickly. (well, everything I do on the iPad is delayed on the TV by half a second)

When i reply to a group text it only shows one recipient and says "failed to send"

I receive a text from a group thread I've been in for ears, when I open the text and respond, it only shows one of the members in the "to" line and then wont let me send any messages. any ideas? If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.

My Viewing area only shows one photo at a time now :(

Yesterday I noticed that my viewing area only shows one photo at a time. It used to display thumbnails of all the photos in the selected event - or library. Now, I'm forced to scroll down and view them one at a time or go into edit mode to see some thumbnails across the top of the screen.
Did I accidently do this? Was it part of an OS update? (I've been away for a month and just don't think I did anything to cause a change...) Can anyone tell me how to view all the thumbnails in the viewing area again?
I'm using iphoto 08 version 7.1.5 (378)

Brand new Ipod touch G4 with sound only in one earbud

I have a brand new Ipod touch G4 with sound only in one earbud. I have tried different types of headphones, but get the same result. If I jiggle the connector pin, I can get sound on both earbuds, but only on one side when the connector pin is push all the way in.
I have an older Ipod g4 without this problem
any suggestions?

Try on your ipod going to Settings-General-Accessibility. Scroll down into Hearing and see that Mono Audio is off. Maybe that's the problem.

Login window only shows one user account

Hi,
Anyone has an idea what's happening?
I'm running Yosemite on MBPr 15" Mid-2012
When I power on or reboot the laptop, on the login window it only shows one user account, my account which is the Admin account. It doesn't show the secondary normal user account I created for my wife. However once I'm logged in and I hit log-off, then it shows the 2 user accounts available for login.

The lock is on the bottom left not bottom right. Sorry mixed that up.
Letting other users unlock the drive
If you want to make the Mac available to a user that doesn't currently have unlock capabilities, log in as a user that can unlock the disk. When you see your own desktop, choose "Log Out (user name)" from the Apple () menu. Also, you can unlock the disk, then switch to another user from Fast User Switch menu in the menu bar.
If you want to grant existing users the ability to unlock the drive on their own, open the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences. Select the FileVault tab and click the lock icon in the lower left corner of the window. Enter your admin privileges when prompted. Click the "Enable Users..." button to add existing users to the list of accounts that can unlock the disk.

The large text size makes your post almost impossible to read.
Excessive use of bold or capitals (also) makes posts difficult to read.
You can drag most of the column headings left or right, or right-click on the header to turn columns on or off.
Once you've used File > Display Duplicates or Shift > File > Display Exact Duplicates you can use File > Display All or the Display All button at the bottom of the list to restore the display.

Only showing one case of group 2

I have group1 as Department and group2 as order type. I am trying to show simple thing like this.Sum of order amts by order type but this is what is displaying:
Dept            Ordertype
Medals      $100
Schools     $100
Trophy       Internet
                $300
but only shows the first order type
the problem is only shows one order type only for 1 of the departments, the last one. but all departments have many order types.

As usually your workaround not to change..Please replace the group footers fields means like that
Group Footer 2 : {Group#1 Name}      {R Total 5}
Group Footer 1 : {Group#2 Name}      {R Total 6}
See all order types display or not? I hope this seems to work..

Screen/Desktop Only showing one program at a time...

My mom called me in to look at her iMac earlier today. She said she was moving her illustrator window off to the side when all of the sudden it was "sucked" away to the left side of the screen. Now when she tries to bring up more than one window for different programs, it will only show windows from one program at a time. I have no clue what she has done and can't seem to find a way to fix this... Does anyone know what she has turned on and how can I turn it off?

sounds strange. I would try resetting dock and spaces preferences. delete the file homedirectory/library/preferences/com.apple.dock.plist and log out/in. your dock, spaces and exposé will be reset to the defaults.

Sound only in One speaker

Got a new computer with VIA KT333 KT3 Ultra series and loaded on Windows 2000 professional. Everything works fine except can only get sound out of one speaker. Tried re-installing the audio driver. Tried all speaker configurations in control panel under multimedial. Tried three different sets of speakers. No warning in the system devices in control panel. Thinking the MB may be bad.

A couple of generic things you could try, but might not apply to your specific mobo.
First, make sure that the plug is fully plugged in to the socket. Those 3.5mm plugs don't leave a lot of room for error, and sometimes a combination of the plastic on the plug and the metalwork surrounding the socket will prevent the plug from going in all the way. This is more likely to affect the right channel. (I assume that in trying 3 sets of speakers, there wasn't a common faulty lead involved).
The second thing to look at depends on your computer setup. Many (but not all) MSI mobos have a 10 pin header called (for example) Front Panel Audio Connector: JAUD1. This lets you connect to an Audio Out socket on the front panel, as an alternative to the rear panel outlet. The audio outputs connect first to the the front panel (green) socket, with a return circuit for each channel which is automatically disconnected when you put a plug into that socket. So the audio out signals travel in lovely unshielded cable from the mobo to the front panel and back, before going to the back panel. If you don't have a front panel socket (and cable to suit), then you have to put a couple of jumpers across (for example) pins 5 & 6, and 9 & 10. If one of these jumpers is missing, you will only get one channel out. You could also lose a channel if there is a fault in the cable taking the signal from the mobo to the front panel, or the return cable, or in the switch contacts of the front panel socket (or in the rear panel socket contacts, for that matter).
So, if you have a front panel audio out - try that and see if you get both channels. Also, check the wiring from JAUD1 to the front panel. You could also try removing the cable from JAUD1 and installing a couple of jumpers instead (check the mobo manual). If you don't have a front panel audio out, check that the 2 jumpers are on JAUD1. You could even try cross connecting the JAUD1 pins (5 to 10 and 9 to 6) and seeing if the missing channel changes or not.
Also, try a few different audio sources (CD playback, playing .WAV or MIDI files, using Line Input - and check the advanced options in the Audio Mixer controls to make sure the Balance controls are centred.

Hello there, could anybody help me find a solution to this problem...
My music shows fine in the three other view options its just now that when i choose the album list view i only get one song per album on view and its not the same number track eg 1 .

Finder only shows one application at a time...

Hopefully someone can shed light on my dilemma.
After a system crash today I'm having problems in the Finder.
I can only have one application visible on screen at a time.
When I click the Desktop the Finder and any windows there come forward and the previous application is hidden.
If I'm in Safari and click the iCal icon in the Dock iCal comes forward and Safari is hidden.
Icons on the desktop are visible at all times and can be clicked / opened etc.
The only way to have other app windows on screen is to go to the Application Menu and choose "Show All". Clicking a window in another application hides everything again.
Hide "App Name" / Hide Others are both greyed out and I can't use Cmd-H to hide an app either.
I've deleted prefs for everything I can think of (Desktop, Dock, Finder) and opened most com.apple. prefs up to find a flag that's been tripped somewhere but to no avail.
It's acting like the old Mac OS where you could have this as an option in the General Settings Control Panel (from memory...)
Safe Boot didn't help whilst logging into my other users show none of the symptoms. Obviously It's something in my log in that is causing the problem but I don't know where else to look!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
