  • Boxee box and airplay

I bought a boxee box so I could use airplay.  But the videos no longer work, I have sound but no picture. Why?

  • Moved from boxee box to appletv missing one key feature

    Hi,
I've just switched from the boxee box to an apple-tv, one of the best features the boxeebox had is the "Watch Later" functionality which is a browser bookmarklet that saved videos from web-browsers into my boxee box to watch later.
Is there any way to duplicate this behaviour on the appletv ?
    Thanks

  • Will over the air mirroring be available for iPad 2 to other devices than the AppleTV? Devices such as the Boxee Box?

    Hi there.
I was just wondering if anyone knows if mirroring over the air will be available for the iPad 2 to other devices than the AppleTV?
Devices such as the Boxee Box?
Air Play works fine with the Boxee Box when viewing photos, videoes or listening to music, but what about mirroring?

  • Apple TV 3 refuses to AirPlay video (mirroring & music is OK)

    CONFIGURATION:
    Brand new ATV 3
Brand new Airport Express, Apple-recommended config, config screens are here
         https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gqluxccdolmdx7y/AACmx4NVwZIVB8EobGu9ZYK1a
We use AirServer.app which emulates AirPlay on both MBP and MacPro. Airplay from all of our devices works correctly sending video/audio via Airplay to AirServer.
    ATV SYMPTOMS:
Music plays on ATV via AirPlay, Mirroring is OK, but NOT video. Any video sent to ATV causes spinner on ATV screen until a long timeout (5 min?) when ATV switches back to eg. Network screen. Every device sends AirPlay video OK to AirServer emulator, but none send to ATV -> always just get the SPINNER.
    TEST LOG:
** Airplay from MBP to ATV
-- recognizes ATV as Airplay device
    -- iTunes music OK
-- iTunes video 2m30s -> SPINNER on ATV screen, then ATV switches back to Network settings
** Airplay from iPad Air to ATV
-- mirrors OK (so long as do NOT try to play video)
    -- Videos.app
-- plays fine to Airserver.app on MBP, switch AirPlay to ATV then
-- iPad displays "This video is playing on Apple TV" --> SPINNER on ATV
-- Watchlater.app plays "Designed by Apple - By Intention" video in mirror mode
              -- turn off mirroring
-- iPad displays "This video is playing on Apple TV" --> SPINNER on ATV
-- MXTube.app - in mirroring mode - everything looks OK, until video playback started, then SPINNER on ATV screen (Note: Airplay icon has turned red in the app)
    Advice would sure be appreciated!

I would aks this to the makers of airserver http://support.airserver.com

  • Use BigPond Video with T-Box

Re: Use BigPond Video with T-Box
    i don't remember my pin

You can watch BigPond TV and BigPond Videos if you've registered your T-Box and are connected via an eligible BigPond Broadband service. To get started, select 'Watch TV' from the T-Box main menu, then press the 'up' arrow on your remote control to access the vertical channel list.
BigPond TV and BigPond Videos are 'unmetered', so they won't count against your monthly data usage. You can't pause or record BigPond TV channels, however you can pause, fast forward and rewind BigPond Video clips.
BigPond Videos can be found under the T-Box On Demand portal.
To access go to Main menu then T-Box on Demand then BigPond Videos
You can also access other on demand channels from this menu i.e. AFL & NRL on Demand, SportsFan on Demand and RacingNetwork on Demand, along with a several other channels.

  • AP Extreme airplay video unusable

Inexplicaby and suddenly, Airplay video is stuttering so badly as to be unusable on ALL my devices.
Running AP Extreme latest firmware (downgrading did not help)
    iPhone 5 6.1.2
    iPad HD 6.1.1
    MBPr 10.8.2
Trying to stream videos from computer to any of these other devices fails with LONG black screens with just a few seconds of video every 2 or 3 min.
I would guess the APE is failing except there's no other indication of that and internet seems ok (possibly a little slow) and Hulu / Netfilx play video on iTV perfectly.
I've downgraded APE firmware and same result.
    Where to begin?

"Slow" wireless network streaming performance is almost always due to limited or poor signal quality. As you can imagine the better the signal quality, the higher the available bandwidth.
Without knowing your exact network configuration, I would first try to eliminate any potential Wi-Fi interference candidates. I would also use a utility, like iStumbler, inSSIDer, or WiFi Explorer to determine if you have any competing Wi-Fis in the area. You can use these utilities to find out which have the strongest signal and what channel(s) they are operating on. Then change the operating channel of your wireless network to a channel at least 3-5 channels away.
To get a more accurate measure of the speed of your wireless connection, you need to use a method that actually measures the speed that your connection is delivering. These include:
Timing a drag-and-drop filecopy and calculating speed (file size / transfer time). For example: Create a 1 GB Disk Image file using the Disk Utility. Copy this file from your Mac to an AirPort Disk attached to the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn). Measure the time it takes for the copy to complete.
Start a file copy, and then, use OS X's Activity Monitor to note the data rates on the Disk Activity tab.
Using AJA's System Test utility to measure transfer times for various video files.
    Running iPerf or jPerf.

  • Flash videos and menu boxes jump up and down, what would cause this?

After installing Firefox 4, all flash videos and menu boxes jump up and down. I have removed and reinstalled the flash plug in to no avail. This does not affect the playback, just the border of the video or menu box. Other browsers do not do this. Just wondering why this happens?

    OK, solved the problem...
I '''''DELETED''''' the file LOCALSTORE.RDF with FF closed. Restarted and everything was back to normal.

  • AirPlay Video - Multiple Audio Tracks

Has anyone had problems with AirPlay video, when the video has more than one audio track?
I'm streaming content (both TV shows and movies) successfully from my iPhone 4 via the new Apple TV to my flatscreen TV.
Video that has has audio in more than one audio track (e.g. English, French, etc) plays fine on my iPhone 4. I'm able to switch between audio tracks as usual. But when I use Airplay to send them to my Apple TV, only one audio track will play. Even if I go in, while the video is playing via AirPlay, and switch the audio track, what's playing remains the old audio track.
Has anyone else seen this? I'm assuming it's a glitch in AirPlay that will hopefully be fixed by Apple soon ...

Hey, I had the same problem. I figured it out though. You have to change the settings on your apple tv. Go to the audio/Video settings on the apple tv. There is a setting called "Audio Language". Change it from "default" to whichever language you prefer. You video will now stream in the desired language. It is a bit inconvenient and I wish apple would modify the interface to allow fast language switching. But, at least this will work.
    Enjoy

  • AirPlay video with iPad1

    Hello,
From what I understand, using AirPlay video with an iPad1 and AppleTV(2), the appmaker has to explicitly support this. But for iPad2, all video is supported automatically through AirPlay mirroring?
If this is correct, is there any way I can investigate wether or not a perticular app is supported for AirPlay video on iPad1 (without actually having an AppleTV)?
    /David

I saw a few news items about the global app supporting Airplay from mid-October, so I assume that the domestic app was given functoinality then too, as there was an update around that time.
If it's only the global player, that would expain things, while also being incredibly irritating.

  • Airplay video signal drops

We have 7 Apple TV's throughout our company and all of them exhibit the same behaviour, on many different laptops.
All laptops are running minimum of OS 10.9.2.
We have a Cisco Clean Air WiFi network with excellent signal coverage in all areas surrounding each of the AirPlay devices.
    Here's exactly what happens:
User will enter conference room with Apple TV connected to an LED Flat Panel TV.  Power it up, then select the appropriate Airplay device from their Airplay menu and begin streaming mirroring their desktop to the television set.  Within 2 minutes, the signal drops, forcing the user to re-select the airplay device once again.  Usually it will drop again within 2 minutes.
If the user reboots the Apple TV, the issue will go away for the rest of the session.  Perhaps something about the Apple TV's keeping a sustained connection to our WiFi network.
We've been working with Cisco to pour over our WiFi network but they cannot find anything from the WiFi gear that is contributing to the signal loss.
Anyone have any ideas here?  I'd like to try an Apple TV alternative to see if a different device would have the same issue but the options seem extremely limited.
    Thank you.

I have two laptops each with their video out adapter connected and then cabled to a switch box where the big monitors project the signal of the laptop that the swtich box is set to. Like channel selection. Previous versions of Keynote were never a problem and I mean never. The signal came right through but now with Keynote 4 the signal drops out even tho the laptop is still active and apparently sending a signal through its video out connection. I have to hit escape and get out of keynote and then go back to PLAY for keynote to once again send that signal.

  • AirPlay video issue

    Hi all
hope someone can answer this question for me.
i Have AirPlay working on iPad 2 sound and video to a AirPlay device no problem , but. When I try to AirPlay from iPad mini I only get the sound.
the settings as far as I can see are exactly the same on ipad2 and iPad mini.
both wi fi connections are the same too.
i choose exactly the same video on YouTube to AirPlay , for some reason as I say only the sound is going across on the iPad mini.
please help , may be something simole I've missed.
    thanks

    Hi,
in sat about 2 meters away from tv box connected to the wi fi.
the box is connected through either net cable . The sound is ok when playing on iPad mini but just no picture.
same place with ipad 2 and that works fine
ive tried rebooting ect and still the same
tthought it might be a hidden setting on iPad mini.
my old iPad 2 has not had a software update for about 2 years and that works fine.
could it be something in the latest download that Apple need to fix
