Airport disconnects and reconnects
My WiFi disconnect from the network and reconnects, I know this is not a router/internet provider problem simply because my brother's PC does not disconnect from our internet. Can anyone help me? Is there a way to possibly reset all network settings back to default (if there is even settings)?
As a test, try creating a new admin user account in System Preferences Accounts pane.

Log out and log in to the new account. You will be using default user preference settings in the new account and only standard processes will be running in the background (unless you installed third-party software that runs at the system level). Try the same things that caused the problems.
So this is a test to see if some user settings or processes that run in your pre-existing pre- Snow Leopard user account is interfering with Snow Leopard's AirPort networking.

Airport disconnecting and reconnecting...
Hi,
I've already posted a thread with the same issue but nobody really helped.
So, I my airport has started to behave really weird. It drops the connection, and then reconnects in a matter of seconds. I have Thompson router and an Airport express, and it does that no both of them, so I assume it is the problem in my airport card. I it especially annoying when I'm listening music because it pauses and I have to play it manually, every time it drops the connection.
Is there some kind of hard Airport reset I could do. i have already tried to delete the airport preference .plist but that didn't helped.
Any suggestion welcome.
thank youI'm having a similar issue - I have 3 Mac laptops and 1 PC desktop networked and today for example all 3 Macs dropped the wireless connection, had a hard time reconnecting/finding the signal (even though it shows in the drop-down list). I've tried around with unplugging/replugging, rebooting, etc. but the problem sporadically reoccurs. BTW, in today's little episode the PC desktop stayed connected.

Why must I continually disconnect and reconnect my airport express in order to get it to play my ITunes library on my TV?
I have a HP Pavillion dv6000 running Windows Vista. Itunes is up to date. I have power cycled the router several times it is a Surfboard sbg6580. still no luck with seeing the airplay symbol on itunes, but Isee it on my phone and can stream music via the airport with my phone. I can see both airports on the airport utility on my laptop. I'm stumped...

Time Capsule disk disconnect and reconnect every 5 minutes
This problem began with Airport Firmware 7.6, and has continued to perist with every subsequent firmware version. Reverting to firmware version 7.5.2 eliminates the problem. Running with the latest firmware version 7.6.3, on OS X 10.8.2, the Time Capsule disk is disconnected and reconnected every 5 minutes, and this is seen in the console log:

There seems to be any number of factors.. where the solutions are little silly things..
Start from the end of the thread and work backwards as this has been ongoing for a long time.. and experience has improved.
What you are seeing btw is the change apple made in Lion and 7.6 to higher security version of AFP.. but it is a mess IMHO.. and has not worked at all well. -
Constant disconnecting and reconnecting with WPA2 enterprise wifi. Any available solution?
I know it can't be the wifi because as recent as yesterday on Mavericks everything was fine. Now after the update it constantly disconnects and reconnects as much as a few times per five minutes! I've read on Reddit other people are having similar problems. Hopefully Apple fixes this soon.
Looking at the Console.app logs, it seems that the machine decides to bounce between two APs:

Nano has worked fine for a couple of years being left connected to either one of our cars. However, every time car is restarted it won't play without being disconnected and reconnected. I have done a full restore.
Current cars are Range Rover Sport 2011 and Jaguar XK 2011.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Thanks,I had a similar problem. Try resetting and erasing the phone and restoring from a known good backup.

What do I do about this message? I've restored it 3 times, but this message still comes up, and i cannot put music on it now.
iTunes has detected an iPod that appears to be corrupted. You may need to restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes. You may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the iPod.Sounds like your iPod is broken. Take it to Apple or someone else who repairs iPods and see if you can get it fixed, or get it replaced.

In Windows 7, iTunes gives error message "An iPhone has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the phonon then try again."
I have a iphone 4S. It has been activated on Win 7 computer and synced. But overnight this meassage reappears.I have same error except that i get it even when my phone is not connected.

'Podcasts' under Ipod device disappeared in Itunes library. I can't manage my podcasts on ipod via I tunes library. I can access the podcasts on my ipod (5th generation), itself. I can access and manage music. I can add more podcasts to ipod. The podcast icon reappears with only the newly added podcasts. When I disconnect ipod and reconnect ipod, 'podcasts' no longer appears under the device. So I am unable to manage my podcasts on I tunes library which means I can't delete podcasts from I tunes library. I can only add podcasts. I have disconnected and reconnected ipod. I have checked for updates. I have restored the ipod to it's original settings. My next step will be to install and reinstall I tunes. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

My wireless keyboard disconnects and reconnects within seconds but all text that was typed during the time offline is missing. i have to go back and retype missing parts. What can I do to troubleshoot this. The computer is only about six month old. This problem is new in the last couple weeks. Thanks for suggestions.
Beat me to it, Donald. But there is a possible alternative. If the batteries have been replaced since new, were they replaced with the same batteries or another make. There are examples around which do not fit perfectly and leave a certain amount of movement inside the battery housing. That could lead to instability such as the OP describes.

If connect iPad to my TV every time the clip is finished I have to disconnect and reconnect the iPad for new clip playing.
1. Why don't you purchase it from Apple? I'd be wary with eBay sellers - and, after all, Apple posts their stuff everywhere, even if you live in a country without a localized Apple store webpage or local (physical) Apple stores.
2. when it comes to adapters / cables like these, NEVER purchase ANYTHING non-Apple-manufactured! Most of the cheap(er) knock-offs don't work! That is, don't try to save on going for a cheaper alternative - it most likely won't work.

Have a 2008/9 iMac on starting up today I have only a white screen, apple icon and a continuous revolving sun. Have tried turning off and on and disconnecting and reconnecting the power with no affect - any thoughts or advice please. Thanks Matt
If your iMac came w/system DVDs, do the following:
Disconnect all devices from the computer then do the following:
Boot up from your DVD that originally came w/the iMac while holding down the "c" key.
Select the language you wish to use, and then choose "Disk Utility" from the menu bar.
Your HD should appear in a panel on the left hand side of the window which opens. Select it and then click on the "repair disk" button in the right hand section of the window.
Once this process has been completed restart your computer and repair permissions directly from Disk Utility.
If Disk Utility is unable to complete the repair, you will need to use a stronger 3rd party utility like DiskWarrior, Techtool PRO (not Deluxe) or Drive Genius. -
Keeps disconnect and reconnect
I have a retina Macbook Pro 13"(latest), iPad(3rd genernation), iPhone 5 and iPod shuffle(latest) and I am sure all their systems as well as iTunes on my Macbook Pro are latest version. The thing is that whenever I connect my iPad and iPod shuffle and try to sync using iTunes it just keeps disconnect and reconnect. At frist I thought there might be some problem with my USB port, so I tried both of my USB ports and it keeps behave like that. And the wired thing is, it did not happend to my iPhone 5 so far. So it is most likely that there are problems with the iTunes.
So I just want to ask is there anyone encounter the same problem and if you know how to fix this problem plsssssss tell me. Thx.I think these problems were hopefully solved by recent update of Itunes.

I plugged my ipod into my computer to load up new tunes and it froaze on the time I dad connected it with the message 'do not disconnect' on the screen. Despite disconnecting and reconnecting it and ensuring it was charged up it will not operate. The 'lock' symbol is showing at the top of the screen even when I have moved the lock switch. I have been using my ipod for several years with no similar fault. What is the problem/solution?
I would first try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Next would be to restore the iPod from backup -
IPod sync failed. Disconnect and reconnect, then try again.
Over the past month or two, I have gotten this message quite frequently with my iPod. It usually happens after I sync my iPod once, leave it hooked up to my iMac for charging, and then try to sync again (sometimes not even more than a few minutes later). I also often have trouble getting my computer to recognize the iPod (or getting my iPod to recognize that it's supposed to start syncing) without having to disconnect and reconnect it and shake the USB cord around a few times.
I had a little bit of this problem with my iPod 5G and XP PC, though no "iPod sync failed" messages ever. This is a new iPod classic and an iMac. What's going on?
Does anyone else have this happen to them?I'd been having this same issue and kept trying all the suggestions on the forums to no avail. Then I just disabled "Enable Disk Use", which required me to first disable "Manually manage music & videos". I unchecked all of my music, videos, podcasts and photos, applied the settings, then chose which media I wanted in my iPod. I synced successfully and even cleared it out completely a couple of times to re-sync. No issues anymore.

QT 7 - not compatible with older PC games?
