Airport - does not load from WPA2 network / unsecured ok, but slow

Hi everyone -
I am encountering an issue with Leopard's airport/network. I cannot connect to the WPA2 protected NetGear router that I have. I had this issue before with Tiger and I don't remember the fix, but it seems to have reappeared in Leopard. I can connect fine with to my neighbor's unsecured network. And (I can't believe I am saying this) I can access my Netgear router absolutely fine on the Windows Vista side using boot camp. So it's not the computer, it's the Leopard. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, please have a fix for me!

Same problem here, I've been using a SMC wireless router for a long time now, it works great! I also got two Powerbooks G4, one with Tiger and one with Leopard. The one with Tiger works fine on the network, I can Access thru the internet and all with my secure WEP password and all, with no problems at all, but when I try to do the same with the one that uses Leopard it says INCOMPATIBLE SECURITY.
HELLO?? this is my only secure WEP password That I know. In fact it's the same password that I'm using on the one that has Tiger installed. What going on with Leopard ? how can I fix that?

I'm sorry no-one has answered you yet - I'm afraid I don't know the answer to the question: but I wanted to put into your mind that starting up with AppleWorks at this stage isn't a good idea. The program was 'end-of-lifed' years ago, it won't run on Lion, and some of the document types created in it - Databases in particular - cannot be opened at all by any other program whatever. Word Processing documents can be opened in Pages, and Spreadsheets in Numbers (with some reservations in both cases), but building up a collection of AppleWorks documents at this stage is going to lead to problems later on.
It's difficult to know what to recommend for a PowerPC machine that would still be compatible with modern ones. An older version of Microsoft Office, perhaps, if you can find one which will run on PPC; but most of the modern Word Processors are Intel only. This is something you would need to investigate.

PB 12.5.2 assembly - does not load from IIS

Hello, all
I am pretty sure that PB has nothing to do with this issue, but if any of you has experience with IIS under Wind2012 server any help would be appreceated. This is not our common setup and we have little experience in this area.
Here is the data:
1. Windows 2012 with IIS
2. PB 12.5.2 .NET assembly compiled from classic IDE.
3. The assembly loads fine from a .NET c# console application on the same server.
4. When the same exact c# code attempts to load the same exact assembly on IIS it receives a System.BadImageFormat exception. The DLL cannot e loaded.
The logic says that the problem is not the runtime, but some permossions issue. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

Apparently, the sysAdmin forgot to allow 32bit apps to run on IIS.

TS3988 icloud.exe does not load from the installer onto my windows 7 laptop

Installed the iCloudSetup from Apple. Installer said everything installed and finished. When I go to open iCloud, the laptop is looking for the iCloud.exe file and after a few minutes, it notifies me that it cannot find the original .exe file.
I am thinking of re-loading the installer file again and starting over.
Any other suggestions?

There is an app you can download for xp, i havnt tried it because im not going to use icloud but if you go onto the ipad tab and then icloud there is a link on there.

Ultra Ram Disk does not load from App Store.

It is impossible to purchase Ultra Ram Disk from the App Store. A pop-up window appears saying, "We could not complete your purchase. The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed." Could someone in authority fix this please. Thanks.

Restart your Mac after the combo is installed then try the App Store.

I used Creative Cloud to update LR last night, along with updates to PS and Bridge. Problem is with LR. It does not open. When I click on icon the logo comes on for about .25 seconds, goes away. It does not load from Application window. I cannot start it

I had the same issue and resolution. Spotlight search for "Mail Badger" and deleting everything resolves the issue.
I'm also running Safari 3.0.2 and 10.4.10...

In order to cure the problem on my iPad of the month of March 2013 only causing the Calendar to close, I amended all "All Day" events on April 1 to timed events. Now my Calendar will not open, although my Calendar on an iPad 2 and on iPhones 5 & 4 work perfectly. I have tried turning iPad off/on, but no effect. Any ideas please?

I'm having the same issue with my 3rd gen iPad too. I always viewed my calendar in month view. It won't even open since it's stuck on month view.
I've quit the app (properly closing via taskbar) and re-opened - crashes immediatly.
Quit the app and rebooted (via holding home/power buttons until restart) and opened - still crashes immediatly.
Anyone know how I'm able to get access to the app so I can change all day events to timed events in April. Is it just April 1st or all of April? I haven't even opened my iPhones iCal yet to see if it's having the same issue.

Airport does not detect wireless network; it says problem = [network]"connection timeout"

It is not a problem of signal strength, and my Airport detects other networks. It used to detect the network I want to connect to, for two years. It suddenly stopped detecting the network (which is WPA Personal password-protected). When I select choose other network and type in the password, it won't connect to it claiming "connection timeout."
This happened before. Then after several days, Airport was able to detect and connect to the network I want. Now it again won't detect the network, and this seems permanent short of taking measures to address the problem. Should I try connecting manually to the network, and hodo I got about that? Thank you to anyone out there ho might be able to help.

i have a macmini (OS 10.5) and use a belkin wireless router. When I turn on Mac address filtering on the router I have an Intermittent problem. The airport does not recognize the wireless network. On the network preferences panel there is a message that the airport is using a self assigned IP address. sometimes the message says the airport has no IP address. If I turn off the Mac address filtering and use a WAP password only the network is recognised and connects without a problem. How do I resolve this? I dont have the problem with a iBook using system 10.4. Is turning off the Mac address filtering secur?

AirPort does not detect networks, unless another network connection is made

I've just done a clean install of OS 10.5 to see if this problem was software related, but it persists.
AirPort does not detect any network the computer is near (tested in various locations) normally, but when connecting to a network via Ethernet or to another Mac via Firewire to use network sharing, it can update and load web pages as normal. A strange quirk I've noticed though, whenever connecting with ethernet or firewire, AirPort will suddenly detect the network! It still can't quite connect to WiFi properly though. While still connected through firewire or ethernet, it will have no connectivity through a self-assigned IP. If it is disconnected from ethernet and firewire again, the wireless network will still show up in a re-scan for networks but it will fail to connect.
I've opened the computer up to ensure that the airport extreme card is seated properly as well, and that the antenna cable is secured properly.
Any ideas as to what the issue is? Should I look into replacing the AirPort Extreme card?

Got no answer on my original post, so I went ahead with ordering a replacement AirPort card on eBay (item #130487488014). Once installed, the iMac was able to detect and connect to networks normally... but was still unable to load any web pages. I tried on secured and unsecured networks as I did previously, and plugging directly into the router and into my Macbook Pro via firewire, with the same results as before. Safari loads pages when connected with an ethernet or firewire cable, but will not load pages on WiFi alone. I can attempt to access a router setup page via WiFi, and am prompted for a username/password, but the page itself never manages to load.
Any clues as to what may be going on here?!

Apple is not here. Even if they might rarely monitor these boards, they will not respond. We're all users, just like you.
Suggest that you open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utiltiies > AirPort Utility
Click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab below the icons
Click the Wireless Options button
Check one more time to see if you still have the 5 GHz Name option enabled. If not, enter a check mark and click Update to save the new settings.
If 5 GHz is enabled, temporarily disable the setting and Update. Then go back in and enable the setting again.
If you still cannot "see" the network from any device, about all that you can do at this point is reset the Time Capsule back to factory defaults and try the configuration again to see if it will "take". Lion is causing some strange issues, and this may be another.
If this is not successful, then it's time to contact Apple support or arrange a visit to an Apple store to let them take a look

Using Second Monitor Airport Does Not Reconnect Upon Waking from Sleep.

Using: MBP; OSX v10.6.5; Airport v5.5.2; Menu Bar assigned to second monitor which is a ViewSonic plugged in via mini-display port to HDMI.
When MBR goes to sleep and wakes upon mouse movement Airport does not re-establish the connection to my network.
No closing of lid or manually putting MBP to sleep involved. Just leave lid open on MBP and walk away for an hour. Upon return, move mouse, everthing wakes except Airport which shows an exclamation mark in the menu bar for the Airport ICON.
When using MBP display for the Menu Bar screen Airport wakes OK.
What's with that behavior???

I changed channels from AUTO to Ch 11. Was there a specific frequency you had in mind.
I also closed the lid to the MBP, let things go to sleep, returned to the office, moved the mouse and the Airport came on line on its own.
I figure there is programmatic problem within either the OS or the Airport coding that prevents Airport re-finding a network with both displays active but the Menu Bar on the secondary screen.
