Airport express 6.3 speakers will not connect in itunes sometimes
I set up 2 airport express for a friend and they are conf to connect to his wireless net. Both work fine with printing and Airtunes speakers will play from several tested iPhones. However iTunes gives me a connection error when trying to play to the speakers. Tried this from several macs including my own macbook, all with itunes 10.1.1.
Funny thing is at home I can play to my own airport speakers (also version 6.3) from itunes. same macbook that cant play at my friends house.
Any ideas?
I Tried reconfiguring, turning airtunes off/on, changing the stations names... but no luck.

Sometimes it can be as simple as quitting iTunes, restarting the Mac and restarting the iPad and it will work again. If restarting everything doesn't work, look through both of these.

It sounds like you are unable to connect to your home Wi-Fi suddenly on 2 different iOS devices. I would be interested to know if the affected phones are able to connect to a different Wi-Fi connection, but barring that I would use the following article to help troubleshoot the devices and the Wi-Fi connection:

Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.

Make sure you're entering your Wi-Fi password correctly. Passwords may be case sensitive and may contain numbers or special characters.

previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
recently used Bluetooth accessories

Remote app on my iphone 5 will not connect to itunes
The remote app stopped working on my iphone 5 and will not connect to itunes. Home sharing is on on itunes and adding new library on my remote iphone app results in veryfying passcode results in the following message on itunes 'the pascode you have entered is incorrect'. I have the feeling that the library is already added but will not connect. Any suggestions are deeply appreciated!
I had the same problem. Reinstalled everything and still nothing. Came across this article:

Quit and relaunch iTunes
Connect the iOS device to a different USB port on the computer
Reboot the iPhone, iPad, or iPod
Reboot the computer
Use a different syncing cable (if possible)
I changed my syncing cable and it worked! Try that if all else is failing. -

My iphone 3gs will not connect to itunes and it says that I need to do a system restore. It also says that I need to enter my password on the iphone to connect to itunes but I can not do this because the phone is in emergency phone call mode only.
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo. -
After trying to download ios 7, iPad will not charge, will not open and will not connect to itunes. Sometimes, screen will switch from Apple logo to low battery notification, but doesn't look as if battery is charging.
Connect with cable to computer. Your ipad is in recovery mode.

Hi, I HATE to ask for help with this, but I HAVE looked everywhere and Google searched different wordings and have not found anything similar nor a solution to my problem! My good old iPod 4th-gen charges just fine in any wall outlet, in any house, but when I connect it to my brand new ASUS laptop that has Windows-8 and 3.0 USB ports using the charging/data cable, the charging process just keeps "blinking" BOTH the iPod and the laptop and it will not connect to ITunes and I get "A Device is Detected" message that keeps popping up and going away over and over right above the Windows desktop toolbar. When I go to control panel and select "Devices" it does show the iPod, but for only a split second and than it disappears, but than it comes back again for a split second and than it disappears again and just keeps doing that over and over and over! I have tried resetting the iPod while it is plugged into the laptop by holding the power and menu buttons, that did no good. I also tried uninstalling iTunes and any other Apple stuff listed and reinstalling it all, that did NOT work! The iPod, the laptop and iTunes ARE all fully updated! I AM using a brand new charging/data cable that I just opened up an hour ago (I've learned to keep a few brand new ones around at all times since these piece of garbage rip-off cables hardly last a week, even when you baby them!). I also tried a few old cables, they all do the same thing! I would like to get this piece of junk to connect to my new laptop, even if only once, so that I can change/delete some songs and transfer a few dozen photos,since I haven't been able to do any of that stuff since my old laptop (that NEVER had any problems connecting) died way back in May! lol. Apple TV 3 will stream music via Home Sharing from iTunes on Mac running 10.6.8 but will not connect to iTunes library to stream movies or podcasts. When trying to connect, iTunes becomes unresponsive and must be forced to quit. ATV will stream movies purchased through the ATV but not those purchased through or ripped/copied onto the Mac. I've tried fixes suggested for similar problems (rebooting ATV and Mac, signing out then back into iTunes Store) to no success. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
This is the most bogus example of Apple rip-off EVER. They do not advertise this *feature* and yet expect people to invest in an Apple ECOSYSTEM? My experience with Apple TV using a central media "server" (a dedicated Mac Mini) has been atrocious. I continually get "Cannot connect..." messages and with typical Apple "it just works" mentality, there is no reason stated. I HATE APPLE TV and I HATE APPLE. Peddle your crapple somewhere else.

my 3rd generation will not connect to itunes when i plug it up to the computer by USB. i have tried to do it with itunes open and closed. it wont recognize it but it is recognizes in the my computer screen. it even makes a jingle when plugged up. on my ipod i can download music wirelessly from my itunes. other than this issue my ipod works just fine. what should i do?

Before you reinstall the Apple software, also remove iCloud vi Control Panel Remove programs. The reinstall the Apple programs

Ipod touch will not connect to Itunes on WIN7. Used to work on Vista but has never worked on new WIN7 computer. Tried several cables and tried an Ipod shuffle. No joy. Current version of Itunes, restarted apple services and checked USB driver installed and functioning. When first plugged in, windows wants to know how to treat it (camera, file directory...) and for a few moments shows it as a drive. Device also shows syncing for a few moments. Then Itunes starts, the device stops sync and windows no longer shows it as a drive. Itunes does not show the device but wants to transfer purchases from the device (transfer purchases from an ipod?). I tried the steps given in on-line help and the diagnostic. Must be missing something in the setup of Ituines. Any suggestions...
Sorry sorry I am a not clear on apple product names. Actually do not care about the names. So I had to look this up so as not to offend anybody. I am talking an ipod nano gen4 AND and ipod nano gen7. Neither work. Can you direct me to somebody who might know how to fix this?

iPod shuffle 4th generation will not connect to iTunes. Windows Vista and iTunes, all updates current. Cables secure & connected. Device driver will not load. iPad will connect when tried with several other computers. When I try to connect it will hang iTunes until I re-boot. iPad does NOT appear in Windows Explorer either.
Oh, so the iPad DOES work fine connected to the same computer and the same port. I thought you said it did not in the first post, but maybe you got that working (or I misunderstood before).
NOTE: When things are working properly, the shuffle will not appear in Windows Explorer (except when actively syncing), unless you have Enable disk use turned on for the shuffle. So not seeing it in Windows Explorer may not be a problem.
Is this shuffle a new purchase... so it did not previously work for you on this computer? If so, make sure that the shuffle end of the USB cable is fully inserted into the headphones jack. The fit can be tighter than expected, and it may seem connected, but is not. For a surprising number of people, this was the problem.
In iTunes, is the sidebar (along left side of window) visible. If it is hidden, from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar. When there are no devices connected, the heading DEVICES should not appear in the sidebar. When you connect your iPad, DEVICES should appear, with the iPad listed below. If you connect the shuffle, it is be added to the list under DEVICES. To confirm, you do not see the shuffle listed there under DEVICES, when it is connected?
When you connect the shuffle, does its light on the shuffle do anything? -

iTunes and the App Store are two different apps/stores. I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do. If you want to buy apps - go to the app store. If you want to but media - music, movies, TV shows - go to iTunes. -

my ipod shuffle will not connect to itunes and it is brand new and i have used other ipods on this computer.
When you take this one back, be sure to have your USB docking cable checked, to make sure it is not the thing that is defective.
Also, make sure you have USB cable plug completely inserted into the headphones jack. The fit is sometimes tighter than expected, especially when the shuffle is new. This is apparently enough of an" issue" that Apple has a tech support doc about it

I have a Iphone 4 gsm (8f190) and it will not connect to itunes and when i put it in recovery itunes will not work. It won't show up when plugged into the computer. Only charges when plugged in the wall or a car charger. I've tried everything imaginable but I can't get the phone to register in iTunes at all.. The phone won't even reset.. when i try and reset EVERYTHING on the phone the apple logo with the progress bar starts to come up but the progress never moves.. PLEASE help me.. I'm at my wits end with this phone and I'm ready to just trash it.

Nonsense, and very misleading advice. I've updated iPhone 3G, 3Gs,and 4 through itunes many times, never had a problem once, not with one single update in nearly 5 years of iPhones.
