Airport Extreme B.S. shutting down after a few minutes!

I have one of these,it's the one with the USB port and Ethernet port.Bought it a few months ago and it had been working perfectly until this weekend when I was out of town.Apparently,my Roadrunner cable/internet/phone service was disconected this last Sunday due to a billing error;my girlfriend called them and they quickly restored our service while she was still on the phone with them.
Well after that she calls me saying that she could not get to the net and explained to me what had happened so I figured that all it was needed was a router reset and told her to disconect the power cable from the ABS and reconnect it after a minute or so...
Fast forward to today,and the ABS keeps shutting down by itself after 2-3 minutes after I turn it back on.What I have done several times is try another wall outlet and it seems to work momentarily but it only stays on for no more that 3-5 minutes at a time until it shuts itself down again.So now I have done this back and forth switching between power outlets many times,even reset the BS to default and reloaded it to the 5.7 version of the firmware and still keeps misbehaving.I'm thinking it could be:
1.The power cord itself going bad(is this possible)? ,or
2.The internal power supply.
Any ideas???

Yes,that's the first thing I did before trying another outlet.It's almost as if either the BS itself,or some part of the power cord overheats and fails after a couple of minutes...:(

My hp pavilion G4 shuts down automatically after a few minutes when I plug it in. It does not happen regularly so I'm not sure of the reason of why it happens. The laptop shuts down and when I press the power button, the light on the power button just flashes but it does not start. Even if I remove the charger and push the power button, it doesn't start. I have to remove the battery and place it again to be able make the laptop start again.

I understand that you are having a problem with your g4 shutting down randomly after you turn it on. When this happens do you get an error message at all? If so, what is the error message? Does this happen both when you are on battery and when it is plugged in? What operating system are you using? What is the product number of your notebook?

Iphone shuts down after a few minutes of non-use (after 1.1.3 update)

After the update, if I do not use the iphone for a few minutes it basically goes dead and I need to power it on and it reloads the system...I tried to reinstall the update, delete all my data and start fresh...nothing has worked...I really do not know what else to do...it really seems a software issue...

i am having the same problem... i turned the auto-lock off so my phone never sleeps and in return it runs my battery down even faster and calls people on accident... even more odd is that the car charger i bought from at&t has alweays worked fine until the 1.1.3 update and it all of the sudden started sayin that this accessory wasn't designed for an iphone and that i should put it in airplane mode so i wouldn't get interference... i have restored several times and nothing helps... i have been all over the net looking for a fix but finally had to call apple and they are sending me a loaner and i have to ship mine back to them for repair... should be here tomorrow (i hope)... beware there is a $30 loaner phone fee... as bad as it sounds i'm glad to hear that i'm not the only one with this problem...

My Macbook Pro shuts down after a few minutes of using.

It shuts off after 10 minutes or less of using. I can feel that my laptop is hot around the ports area and I am using almost every port. Could that be the cause of the shut off because of overheating? My settings for battery and screen saver are turned off and I am plugged in with the power adapter. It would help if you would indicate the exact model of your MBP and the OS you are using.
Open Activity Monitor and look for any applications that may be using a lot of CPU resources.
Install iStat pro and see what kind of temperatures your MBP is generating, especially the CPU.

How can I fix this problem.??

Try this:
1. Double-click the Home button to see all Inactive Apps
2. Hold the Apps down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close App
4. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo (ignore the red slider)
Note: if the above doesn't work you may have to Backup and Setup as new.

8520 shuts down after a few minutes

I recently upgraded my OS on my curve 8520 and now i hear static when talking with someone for a few minutes and thte screen goes white. I have to take out the battery and plug it in to turn it back on or it stays stuck on the white screen and is non-responsive. I like the new features on the upgrade but I think it is what is draining my battery not even sure if it is the battery. I used to hear beeps when the batter would die and the battery indicator would start to show in red. Since the upgrade again I hear static and the phone goes white. What can I do to fix this. I can't operate like this it is dangerous and I travel alot.

Remember, Safe Mode is a diagnostic tool. The best process would have been to see if Safe Mode has the problem. If it does, then the core OS is at fault. If Safe Mode does not have the problem, then something added on is the culprit. But, deleting them in Safe Mode and not then shifting back to Normal mode prevents you from diagnosing which is the culprit -- especially if you delete several.
A good process would be Safe Mode, delete one app. Normal mode, see what happens. If the behavior continues in normal mode, return to Safe Mode and delete another app, and return to Normal mode. Repeat until the behavior ceases in Normal Mode...then you know the culprit...the last one you deleted.

Hi. I have an iPhone 4S running iOS5.1.1. Since the update, all of my apps, including messeges and email, close after a few seconds. I can't send messages, or use any of the apps. I have reformatted the device several times, and also done a fresh install as a new user. I still have the same problem. Can anyone give me suggestions?

Thanks. Tried this and still not working. I can't even send a lengthy sms or email, as EVERY app shuts down after a few seconds. Sometimes it even fails to launch. The battery life is less than 4 hours, even after turning off 3G, wi-fi, bluetooth and cellular data.
It must be a hardware problem, as the phone gets extremely hot as well.
Apple are far from helpful. Their customer service is dreadful, if you live outside of the States. No telephone or email support. Time to flush the phone and buy a Samsung Galaxy 3.

Mac book pro mid 2009 shuts down after a few hour of use and then is very difficult to reboot. Sometimes I have to wait hours, sometimes I have to repeatedly press the power button and then it will slowly start a little longer each press untill it completely boots. It has done this three times know. Each time I was watching a video.

Try running the Apple Hardware Test - sounds as if you've hardware issues.

Al that is left are the standard fixes:
- Reset the dock
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Make sure your headphone plug is pushed all the way into the connecton until no silver is showing. You will hear a click and feel it snap all the way in.

Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop shuts down after about 1 minute

Despite being plugged into AC power, my Lenovo 3000 N100 shuts down after about one minute. It boots properly but suddenly shuts down. I have not used this laptop much since purchasing it in 2006 and have seldom used it on battery power alone. Any suggestions before I buy a new battery? Maybe I am mistaken, but shouldn't the computer work on AC despite a depleted battery?

Take the battery out and unplug the ac. Hold the power button down for about 15 seconds. Do it twice. Then plug only the ac in and see if it fires up.

My computer shuts down after about two minutes of use or at startup. What is the problem?
Yesterday I used it for about ten minutes.
Yesterday was the first time using it after about 5 days.

Could you tell me how to check my system log, and how to tell if it is the disk cache? I am pretty sure it is not the GPU as I was having the problem using a Quadro 4000 as well.
